Spoiler Alert Read at your own Risk
This was a really good book and I love reading Ms. James's books. Barrel racer Celia Lawson knows that rider Kyle Gilchrist is the love'em and leave'em type in other words he is a manwhore of the rodeo circuit. He is also her brother's best friend and they grew up together and they didn't get along as kids. After a night of drinking she wakes up in Vegas to find that she is married to the man when she insists on an annulment Kyle knows that he should say no but he can't he isn't ready to let her go. But then Kyle inherits a sprawling Wyoming ranch, and seizes the opportunity to enlist Celia’s help. She agrees to lend a hand—with two conditions: He has to get up to speed as a rancher within six months; then they’ll get a divorce. Celia is feisty, headstrong and vulnerable and Kyle is the fun loving sexy cowboy who we first met in the first book of this series Corralled. Kyle and Celia have to deal with the reactions of her overprotective brothers and the fact that Kyle had a sexual relationship with her sister in law, one that included a menage with her brother (strictly MFM menage, no sex between Kyle and Hank). This book also had some really funny scenes in it. This was a really good book it was well written like all of Ms. James's books the sex scenes in this book was hot. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Fourth in the Blacktop Cowboy erotic romance western series. The couple focus is on Kyle Gilchrist and Celia Lawson.

It's erotic mostly in the sense that Kyle is, um, dominating.

My Take
It's a lesson in not getting drunk in Vegas, LOL! Seriously though, this was cute with a few twists on the typical romance with the not-so-happy couple getting married right off the bat. Instead of Celia wanting to be married, it's Kyle and he does what he can to entice Celia into wanting to stay married. Although, for a guy who wants to be married to her, he sure doesn't behave like it.

The other twist is that Kyle has always wanted to be a rancher, but he hasn't a clue what's involved. And he's man enough that he's comfortable following his wife's lead.

It's the weirdest marriage; it's more like they're living it in reverse. Instead of growing miserable after the initial lovey-dovey romance, they're working it in reverse.

One of the things I enjoyed about this story was how real it was. Just everyday issues. Grocery shopping, cattle sorting, problems with relatives, fence mending, furnishing the house, calving...

Both of them have psychological issues. Kyle never had much money and he's sensitive to others' comments as well as feelings of inadequacy when he learns how little he knows about ranching while Celia feels homeless, unwanted, and unsexy.

The wedding shower everyone throws sounds like an absolute hoot.

This was a sweet read without scandalous dramas. A clash of feelings and a lack of communication keeps it real.

The Story
It was that kiss at New Year's Eve, and twenty-four hours after a drunken celebration, followed by an impromptu wedding, a sudden phone call finally reveals Kyle Gilchrist's father's name. He's dying and wants to see Kyle before he goes. There's an inheritance involved. Something Kyle has dreamed about, slaved for.

When Abe and Hank find out...hoo, boy, it's fireworks and the shunning. Later on, there's more fireworks between Kyle and Celia and Tanna's needing Celia is a welcome cry.

The Characters
Celia Lawson is Hank and Abe's little sister. She's also a barrel racer on the CRA circuit and gettin' mighty tired of it. Tanna Barker is one of Celia's few friends. Breck is an ex-boyfriend and a jerk. Michael is his boyfriend.

Hank and Lainie Lawson (they enjoyed a threesome with Kyle back in Corralled (A Blacktop Cowboys, #1)) are focusing on baby Brianna's eye surgery while Abe Lawson is focused on his wife Janie (see Wrangled and Tangled (Blacktop Cowboys, #3), and the baby that's due any week now (Tyler is a boy). Eli Whirling Cloud is another friend, and he's been caring for Celia's horses and pickup.

Kyle Gilchrist is a bastard---the legal kind, not the behavioral---and a bull rider on the CRA circuit. He and Celia have known each other prit' near all their lives---they've been pulling pranks on each other about that long as well. Marshall Townsend is Kyle's biological father. I think Kyle was better off not knowing him. Sherry Gilchrist is his mother; Rick is her current boyfriend.

Josh and the pregnant Ronna Jones are Kyle and Celia's new neighbors. The Mud Lilies, a group of seventy- and eighty-something-year-old women, are all here: Garnet, Bernice runs the beauty salon, Tilda, Pearl, Maybelle, and Vivien.

Devin McClain is a childhood friend of Celia's and Kyle's. He's also a hot Western music sensation. Harper and Bran Turner are more friends (seeSaddled and Spurred (Blacktop Cowboys, #2). Renner and Tierney Jackson have the Split Rock Ranch and Resort down the road (see Wrangled and Tangled (Blacktop Cowboys, #3). Toby works for Renner at the resort. Hugh Pritchett manages Renner's stock contracting; he's not doing so well since his wife filed for divorce. Fletch is the vet who's hoping to snag Celia as an assistant. Susan Williams is looking to sell Buckeye Joe's

The Cover
The cover is gorgeous with a tan and gleaming Kyle standing with his thumb hooked into one pocket and holding a coil of rope while the other hand is resting on a hip, his plaid shirt open and some very low-hanging jeans. The background is almost more gorgeous with a lilac sunset hanging over the vast open prairie of Wyoming. Nice use of complementary color with the lilac and gold.

Oh, LOL, that title...! I suspect that Celia was only expecting a One Night Rodeo...!

Another hot cowboy story I enjoyed reading immensely. Lorelei continues to dangle that sugar cube in front of you as you hold your breath wondering if Kyle is finally going to say, "I Love You." Well just know Celia and Kyle both feel that way about each other, but it will be a long time before you see them say it.

I've read allot of romance or erotica and I'm always happy when I come across an original story line.

Celia wakes up laying next to Kyle in a hotel room and finds herself married to the biggest sex hound. She was always attracted to him but she didn't want to be the next notch on his bed post. Plus he was practically family since he was best friend's with her brother, and for the most part lived on their ranch. Kyle and Celia travelled together on the road and competed at the same rodeos. He started being Celia' s confident and go-to-person. The only problem was he had started falling in love with her. Kyle finally finds a way to make her his permanently. He marries her in Las Vegas but unfortunately he can't get Celia to agree. She insist on getting an annulment.

In less than 24 hours Kyle gains a bride and looses a dad he never knew he had. His dad willed him a ranch and livestock he didn't know how to take care of. It was always Celia's dream to have her own ranch and Kyle hopes that will add favor to his grand scheme to get her to stay a little longer. He wants her for his wife but he also needs her help. He convinces her to stay on 6 months. He just hopes that during that six months he can get her to fall in love with him.

Unfortunately, Celia finds out that Kyle has been lying to her and he finds out she has a few secrets up her sleeves too. Their unspoken love for each other might not be enough to keep them together. Read the story and find out if all Kyle's efforts aren't too late.

I have two confessions to make. First, I've been in love with Kyle Gilchrist since I first read Corralled. I guess that had a lot to do with the fact that I saw him as the bad boy in the series. Rough, raw and dirty. And second, I think I may have had a crush on Celia Lawson for almost as long. She's the type of heroine I love to read about!

Of course I've wanted them to have a book since the ending of book one and now here they are. I think I may say this every time after I finish a book in this series but, this is my favorite book in the Blacktop Cowboys series so far....and by far! It wasn't what I expected at all in a way, and it exceeded all my expectations!

I don't really want to ruin the book for you and tell you what happens by doing a recap of the story. I was in for lots of surprises and enjoyed every single one of them. So just let me tell you that I saw a whole new side of Kyle that was sweet and vulnerable and made me want to cuddle up to him and hug him, not just jump his bones until he begged me to stop. Yes, he's still hard ass Kyle, rough and dirty Kyle and very alpha Kyle. But he also showed he can be romantic, a protector, a rock to lean on, understanding, comforting, vulnerable, and hurt.

I had no idea everything he had to go through in his life and for him to be the man he is today after having that in his past, still being positive and a good person...just makes you give him more credit for what he's achieved and the person he's become.

The path that he had to take in this book was both easy and hard at the same time. One day he had nothing and the next he had everything he'd ever wanted. And sometimes, that's not easy to deal with either. People will still make mistakes and things can't be perfect.

But enough about Kyle...lets talk about Celia. Celia was also not what I expected. Yeah she's a tough chick but she's not what she always shows others. She's had issues with her relationship with her brothers that she never brought up before, she's insecure about her looks although she tries to portray an air of confidence. She can be easily hurt and then she holds it in.

I think Kyle was the perfect man to love her from the inside out and the outside in. He loves everything about her and is not afraid to show her. And Celia does the same for him. They are truly the perfect complement to each other. That doesn't mean they are perfect as individuals but that makes them so much better.

Favorite Quotes:
"Oh yes, little wifey mine, we'll be having sex. Lots and lots of sex. Sweet sex, raunchy sex, shower sex, sex on the floor, sex against the wall, sex in bed, sex in the truck, sex in the barn, sex on the tractor, and sex on this table." He smacked it hard.
Her silver eyes went wide.
"And in case that wasn't clear, I'll say it plain. I like sex. A lot of sex. Morning, noon and night."

"That tongue of yours is an awesome alarm clock."

So Kyle Gilchrist and Celia Lawson wake up one morning after a drunken Vegas night of fun with wedding rings on their fingers. That's actually pretty interesting considering Celia and Kyle have nipped at each other's asses for nearly twenty years. Kyle is actually quite content with this revelation, because for a few years now, he's actually been lusting after Celia. Celia however is very distressed at first.

When Kyle inherits a ranch and all the fixins from the father he never knew about, the bull rider and his barrel racer/new wifey, Celia leave the circuit and start to play house/ranchers. With each day that goes by, both become each others happiness, but Celia swears she's hitting the road in six months and going back to school to become a vet.... Hmmmm I wonder how long that plan lasts for?

Of course life happens and a few issues get between these two hard heads. Can they overcome their difficulties and realize hoe important they have become to one another?

One word for this book.... EXPLOSIVE... actually I have several more... PASSIONATE, HEART-WARMING and EMOTIONALLY SEDUCTIVE... Lorelei James delivers the goods once again with ONE NIGHT RODEO. Kyle has been a favorite from day one of the Blacktop Cowboys and he finally gets to show what he's got. Celia is still coming into her own at first and her evolution is a pleasure to watch unfold. One of my favorites...

I have adored Kyle since the beginning of this series and I'm so glad he got his HEA. There were so many things about his HEA having to do with Celia that could have turned icky. I think Lorelei James handled those things rather well. I especially like a little snippet about Celia's mom that is thrown in from one of the town ladies. It made it all seem okay for some reason.

I enjoyed the way the whole circle of friends accepted the relationship and gave her brothers hell for their reactions. It made it seem more like the right thing that way.

Of course, another think I was afraid would get a bit odd is the whole Kyle/Lainie/Hank thing. I was even more afraid it may be ignored. Again, the author did a pretty good job with that.

I'm really enjoying this series and keep hoping all of the guys in town get their own stories.

One drunken night in Vegas with a wedding chapel - Kyle and Celia start out on a crazy foot getting married in Vegas. These two longtime friends have known each other since they were children, picking fights and terrorizing each other from the start. Kyle has had stronger feelings for Celia for the past few years, but was never able to get up the nerve to act on them. Celia always came off as a wild child/barrel racer on the rodeo circuit, but in reality she's on the shy side, sexually inexperienced and down to her last dime. Both Kyle and Celia's dream has always been to own and work on a ranch of their own. So before they can say "annulment", Kyle finds out his unknown father has suddenly decided to come forward and tell Kyle who he is, on his death bed. Kyle can't get to him in time, but his father left him everything: a sizable bank account, home and ranch. Kyle's never run a ranch before, so he strikes a deal with Celia, stay married for 6 months, help him get the hang of ranching and he'll pay for her college education.

From the start, I loved this couple. They have such a strong, long history that being married so spur of the moment didn't read to me like it does in other stories; it didn't have that farfetched feeling. These two clicked from their scenes working on the ranch to the steaminess in the bedroom. They were able to give each other things that no one else had before. For Kyle, he gave Celia the chance to come out of her shell and he gave her a sense of home. Celia helped Kyle deal with his anger toward a man he'd never know as his father, helped him learn all about ranching without making him feel dumb or worthless and she brought fun and love into his life.

Sexy, sexy, sexy, Lorelei James always brings out the sexiness in her characters. Kyle and Celia christen every room inside and outside of their house in hot, crazy ways. It's hard not to enjoy that, but what struck me most was how sweet Kyle is and that he's a romantic. A guy who says and does the sweetest things to and for the woman he loves always gets to me. He had me sighing along with Celia after some of the things he told her; a very lovable hero that was easy to like and enjoy.

Celia covers up hurt and her feelings very well. With Kyle, she's able to express herself more, but things in her past, specifically surrounding her brothers, hurts her badly. I liked seeing her stand up for herself, using Kyle's support to stay strong. I also enjoyed seeing her expertise when it came to running their farm. She might have been a shy girl, but I liked the woman she was on page, sassy, smart and a great match for Kyle.

I overall really enjoyed this story. My only small issue is with the ending. I'd have loved one more chapter or an epilogue to give the story a little more detail to finish it off. It feels like it ends a bit abruptly and I wanted some more Kyle and Celia goodness to finish their story. Aside from that, Kyle and Celia have a love story that is completely enjoyable, so sexy (and a little dirty) and I loved going along for the ride.

Kyle and Celia have been at each others throats since they were kids. That all changes when they wake up married and discover that Kyle has inherited a ranch from the father he never knew. They strike a deal, they will stay together for 6 months. She will help him with calving and he will help her with school. It doesn't take very long for either of them to realize that they want more than 6 months, they want forever. They both have stubborn streak a mile wide though, so making a life together is going to take a lot of work.

This is a sexy story, that despite starting of just a bit slow really grips you with the interractions of the two main characters. You can really feel the long history that the two share. You also really get to know the two of them. Not just what the outside world sees, but all of the pain and insecurities too.

I am so happy to finally get Kyle's story. I have to admit he has been on my mind since the first book. He is super sexy and I love that he has that secret sweet side to him as well.

One Night Rodeo by Lorelei James
Contemporary Western Romance -Aug 7th, 2012
4 1/2 stars

One Night Rodeo is the forth (and hopefully not the last) in the author's smokin' hot Blacktop cowboy series.

Celia Lawson and her brother's good friend Kyle Gilchrist have always fought like cat and dogs. But when Celia is injured, Kyle is one of the first on the scene. When he takes her to Vegas, they both wake up hung-over to realize they have been married!

Celia immediately wants to dissolve the marriage but finds out that Kyle has suddenly inherited a ranch from a father he never knew existed. Desperate, Kyle asks Celia to help him run the ranch (because he values her experience running her brother's ranch) and stay in the marriage for six months. But he also wants to make it a `real' marriage and that means a lot of hot sex! Soon Kyle has his hands full trying to reconcile his feelings for a father who refused to acknowledge him and keep Celia from leaving him. Especially when he realizes how much he loves her. But what happens when he finds out that they may not actually be married? Will their fragile truce hold when Celia discovers the truth?

As usual, Lorelei James writes a superb book with intensity, engaging storytelling and super sizzling sex. Kyle definitely has issues being raised by his mother who has lied to him about his father and trying to keep Celia without offending her independence. The scenes between Celia and Kyle feel very real. I sympathized with Celia who has her own goals but has been disappointed and tries to hide her insecurities. Before the inheritance Celia and Kyle were pretty poor and I liked how money didn't change them but they used it to make their dreams come true. When Celia takes over, redecorates and helps Kyle with the running of the ranch I finally felt she had come into her own. I also liked how her brothers must realize that Celia is now a woman and must respect her for her decisions. But Kyle and Celia's quick marriage also brings difficulties, as both are unsure how the other person really feels. I really rooted for them and wanted them to work out their problems. While not my favorite in the series this book packs lot of depth and some seriously sexy scenes.

This is one steamy western not to be missed, if you love this series you will not be disappointed.

I bought this yesterday and pretty much put everything else to the side to read it. It was SO GOOD! Lorelei has done it again with her cowboys. Kyle was simply too hard to resist. I couldn't put the book down until I read the last page! Of course, I've been waiting for Kyle's book since I read the first Blacktop Cowboy book, Corralled. So I had pretty high expectations for this one, and let me tell you....Lorelei blew every one of those out of the water.

Celia has been present in all of the books and she seemed a little distant. I liked her, but I always felt like there was more going on. There was. In One Night Rodeo you find it all out. She turned out to be a woman I think we could all relate to in one way or another. Celia didn't change so much as she grew and showed all sides of her personality. I loved the back and forth between her and Kyle, it's been present from the start, but in this book it was different. As I read the book I was entranced by their relationship, I felt like I was right there with them.

Kyle is one heck of a cowboy. He's a bull rider, but has always wanted to own a ranch. Now he gets his chance. If you liked Kyle before when he was cocky and sometimes a jerk, then you're going to love his sweet and vulnerable side. That was probably the most surprising part of this book for me. Kyle's romantic side seemed so natural, while at the same time you knew as you read that it was something he pretty much only showed to Celia. It drew me in and wouldn't let go!

There is a scene that rivals the fainting goats from Lorelei James's Rough Rider series. When you read it, if you don't laugh out loud I would be surprised. It's by far one of my favorite scenes in any book I've read. Humor is very present in One Night Rodeo, and considering the history between Celia and Kyle it was expected. Lorelei didn't leave out the emotional tug though, at one point Kyle was being a pigheaded male and I wanted to both shake some sense in him and hold him close.

I could go on and on about this book, but it's better for you to just go buy it and read it. You don't have to read the other 3 books to understand this one...although I would recommend that you do because they are really good as well!!

One Night Rodeo, Blacktop Cowboys #4, By Lorelei James
Grade: B+

"You waiting until I turn around so you can make sure I'm a girl?"

Celia Lawson has known Kyle Gilchrist almost her entire life and for most of that time she's done nothing but try to make his life miserable and vice versa. Celia's not sure when her feelings for the smoking hot cowboy changed but she's shocked to wake up naked and married Kyle after a long night of drinking in Las Vegas. When Kyle inherits a ranch from his father he never knew he makes a deal with Celia, for her help getting everything running Kyle will pay for her to go to vet school after six months. Celia soon finds she likes playing house with Kyle and walking away might not be what she really wants.

Kyle Gilchrist has spent all of his time trying to win money bull riding so he can buy his own ranch so when his unknown father leaves him a spread right outside his hometown he's shocked. Also as shocking is realizing he married his friends baby sister and how much the idea doesn't scare him. Kyle now has six months to convince Celia that he wants the marriage to be forever and he will stop at nothing to keep the sassy cowgirl by his side and in his bed forever.

Like many fans of this amazing series by Lorelei James I have been highly anticipating Kyle getting his happily ever after especially now that it's with Celia. We first bet Kyle in Corralled and I instantly fell in love with him. Kyle is the epitome of the sexy cowboy but the way he looked out for Celia and was so sweet to her made me swoon. Like most fans this book has been a long time coming and it was everything I wanted.

After their drunk marriage in Las Vegas Celia and Kyle head back up to Wyoming to finalize Kyle's inheritance. These two have the best chemistry and from the first page they are sizzling. I was a little nervous that Mrs. James was going to make us wait for these two to start burning up the sheets but these two can't keep their hands off one another. Kyle and Celia are a great team and I enjoyed reading about what it takes to run a ranch and all the hard work that goes into it.

After getting to know both Kyle and Celia I was very worried that they had too much baggage to work and that would do nothing but fight and bicker. I loved how well they clicked and how much they learned to open up. Seeing these two very lonely people start to love and depend on the other made this my favorite book of the series. I was so happy with everything and I only wish that we could have had more between Kyle and his mother because I thought there was a lot more there that could have been worked out.

We get to see all of the characters from previous books and catch up with them. I wasn't very happy with Celia's brothers, Hank and Able, but they did redeem themselves and make things better. Once again The Mud Lilies provide lots of laughs and I'm serious when I say those ladies need their own books. I am not sure who's book we're getting next but I love this series and can't wait to see what happens next.

"Son, your father is dying" is the last thing bull rider Kyle Gilchrist ever thought he'd hear from his mother. After all, she's never told him who his father is so as far as he knows he was the product of immaculate conception or a sperm donor. All of a sudden he has a father; the man is dying and leaving him some unknown inheritance. As if that isn't enough of a shock to his senses, less than 24 hours ago, in a drunken stupor, he married Celia, his best friend's little sister in a quickie Las Vegas wedding.

Barrel racer Celia Lawson isn't quite as happy as she pretends to be traveling the rodeo circuit but since her brothers run the ranch she feels out of place there now. Of course, that doesn't excuse her wild, devil-may-care attitude or her inability to turn down a dare - which is where all her trouble started. Now she's married to Kyle, whose reputation as a lady's man is well known around the circuit. An annulment is definitely on the agenda immediately, but despite her insistence that it's the only thing to do in this situation that makes sense Kyle isn't in agreement.

After his mother finally reveals the identity of his biological father, Kyle and Celia begin the trek back to Wyoming to meet the man he knew in passing but never liked. Unfortunately before they arrive Marshall Townsend passes away and so Kyle never gets answers to all the questions he has running around in his head. He does learn that he's inherited a large ranch, something he's been scrimping and saving to achieve for himself since he joined the rodeo circuit. Reality is much different that dreams and he knows he doesn't have the know-how to run the ranch by himself - he desperately needs Celia's help. Celia agrees to help under the conditions that he gets a handle on the ways of a working ranch within six months and then he grants her a divorce. Oh and she insists that their marriage will remain in name only - as it happens, that's the one condition that Kyle shoots down. He doesn't regret their marriage and fully intends to enjoy all the benefits of having Celia as his wife - including lots of hot sweaty sex.

Bow down to the western romance queen Lorelei James! Can I just say how much I love ONE NIGHT RODEO? The other titles in this series were fun, imaginative and brought all these characters to life but with ONE NIGHT RODEO she captures the true essence of Celia and Kyle, both characters I really loved before but view in a completely different light now. Celia always seemed to be tough as nails but she has a vulnerability that is easy to see when she lets down her guard around Kyle. I did become annoyed with her brothers Abe and Hank because they failed her in so many ways but they do redeem themselves and since it wasn't intentional I think I can forgive them. In addition to the emotional drama and scorching romance, Ms. James infuses this story with humor and one particular scene had me laughing out loud and reading it to my son who also thought it was hilarious. In fact I'm sitting here smiling about the burning couch scene which quite honestly is well worth reading ONE NIGHT RODEO all by itself.

The plot held so much possibilities.

Overall, the book did give some enjoyment, but so much was left at the table. What bugged me most was that how interpersonal conflict was handled. Okay, so they're newlyweds, but must the *only* method of reconciliation be sex? Also, when the rift between Celia and others like her family was finally revealed, why was it off-screen? Why did the wives scold their husbands (Celiea's brothers), for instance, and we know of it only thru the husband's narration? The forgiveness, etc., would have been much more sincere and believable had they done it on the page and first hand.

This is your typical feel good romance story. Not to much drama. Very fun to read and enjoy when you're not sure what to read. I did not read the entire series. I have only read this book. There were parts that I did feel lost on but nothing to important and I feel the author did a very good job of explaining previous situations from previous books.

Celia and Kyle have know each other since they were children. They now are in the Rodeo circuit together since Celia is a Barrel racer and Kyle is a bull rider. Celia and Kyle fight all the time until one New Years Eve and a kiss changes everything. They declare a truce while in Vegas and wake up marriaged ... and inheritance of a ranch. This story really starts when Kyle and Celia learn to run a ranch together and find love. Lots of heat comes of the pages but it's a well written Western Romance.

I re-read this book since I hadn't read the whole series... loved it better the second time.

Check out the whole Blacktop Cowboys series ; CORRALLED (Lainie Capshaw & Hank Lawsons story) , SADDLED AND SPURRED (Bran Turner and Harper Masterson story) , WRANGLED AND TANGLED ( Janie Fitzhugh and Renner Jackson story) , ONE NIGHT RODEO ( Celia Lawson and Kyle Gilchrist story) , TURN AND BURN (Tanna Barker and August Fletcher ) , HILLBILLY ROCKSTAR (Devin McClain and Liberty Masterson story) , ROPED IN (Sutton Grant and London Gradsky story).

If you enjoy this genre I would also suggest; Chasin' Eight (Rough Riders) ,Relentless,Good Time Girl (Harlequin Blaze) and Cowboy Casanova (Rough Riders).

These are 2 characters that I've been routing for throughout the entire Blacktop Cowboy series. Celia has to overcome being seen as Hank Lawson's little sister, Sexy Kyle Gilcrest has more buckle bunnies under his belt than the NFR. With a twist of fate we watch these two blossom, and argue, and blossom. Some things were just meant to be.

Even with all their faults , they are perfect for each other. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this series; I've read 3 books and have enjoyed reading them all. Each couple is so insecure and afraid to open up about being in love. They almost lose it until something makes them face the truth. James writes great dialogue for her characters---down to earth and kind of funny, especially the old gals/lillies. Also, each novel allows to keep in touch with previous favorite characters. Can't wait to read the next book about Fletcher.

When disaster strikes can Kyle keep Celia with him as his own or after their time is up will she leave.... I loved this story!! I know I said that about the last few books, but Ms. James just keeps getting better and better how is that my fault...onto the next

Barrel racer Celia Lawson knows the womanizing reputation of bull rider Kyle Gilchrist which makes her keep her distance. Kyle feels the same as she is the kid sister of a close friend. They both go to Las Vegas where they get drunk and married.

The next morning his mom calls to tell him his mystical father is dying and wants to see him. Sarcastic Kyle mentions his wife to his mom. While Celia wants an annulment, Kyle likes being married to her. Dangling the end of their marriage as blackmail, he coaxes his spouse to come with him to meet his dying dad Marshal Townsend. His father is already dead but left him a sizable ranch and money. Kyle tells Celia he will grant a divorce if she helps him for six months with the spread while the no sex clause is negotiable.

The latest Blacktop Cowboys Wyoming ranch romance (see Wrangled And Tangled; Corralled; and Saddled And Spurred) is an engaging tale though fans of the series will feel a strong sense of deja vu. The lead protagonists are a fascinating pair who fight, fuss and fall in love while working the ranch together.

Keep writting about these cowboys Lorelei....I brought them to work and now they are all waiting for the next cowboy. Sexy...smart and a good story. James knows how to put it all together. I listen to them when I am on the road traveling to our offices...Time flies, the stories are so good!

I just finished One Night Rodeo and Ms. James has done it again, these cow-folks are ones you want to know, ones you want to hang out with and if I do say so myself bring home to warm your sheets! You won't be disappointed in any of the Blacktop Cowboy series!! I recommend it to all!

Kyle and Celia(Hanks little sister.

The story was nice, but just so so. Definitely a tame L.J. Novel for sure.

They have known each other for years but their relationship was always antagonistic. Then one day it just changes, although Kyle has had feelings for Celia for years. They get married in Vegas, some things happy and they decide to play married for 6 months.

Blah, blah, blah it turns real. The end.
