The Good News Translation of the Bible is a great translation because it is so easy to read AND it is translated from original text (not paraphrased). However, I was surprised that these Bibles were as small as they were, although they are a nice size for carrying with you - nice and petite. The printing was a little small, but I was able to read it. I bought these for my daughter and son-in-law and they were pleased with them. It is hard to find the Good News Translation for sale so I am glad to have found these.

We needed a new large print Bible for the Worship Leader at our church. Since we read from Today's English Version every Sunday, this Bible was the appropriate one to buy. It is easy to read and feels comfortable in the hands. The binding is strong and the soft cover is well made. The paper quality is perfect for our needs. Being one volume is also a plus, because the previous version of this Bible was in two volumes. This Bible should please anyone who likes Today's English Version and wants a quality product.

This was my first time using your services. And it was great. I received by Bible as promised. I didn't have to wait long or check on it. It brightened up my day when I saw it by my door when I came home. Thank you

This translation is very good for those who are not accost ones to the KJV or NKJV. Print is large and easy to read. Some have said the pages are too thin but they are comparable to most bibles. Clear & concise. Soft cover

This bible is perfect - the large print is easy to read and it's written in language used today, so it's easier to understand. I have struggled trying to understand meanings in traditional bibles, not sure I'm getting the message I'm supposed to, but now I feel confident in what I'm learning and can compare to the traditional bible to see the language differences from thousands of years ago. This would be a great starter bible for a teenager. I very highly recommend even if you understand your traditional bible, it's a good study tool to apply it to today's issues.

This "Good News Bible, Today's English Version" translation is a great improvement over the King James version. It is much easier to understand because it is written in today's English. Excellent footnotes add even better understanding. I highly recommend this Bible to all Bible readers~~from scholars to novice Bible students. I've bought several and plan to buy more to give as gifts.

Includes section headings, imprimatur, but no nihil obstat. The inner page margin size could be increased a little bit; You have to break the book spine to read comfortably, and it makes it a bit of a struggle to read end chapters such as Genesis and Hebrews.

I like this Bible. I especially like the LARGE print. I like the Good News version. It's easy to read and understand.
When I study the Bible, I keep several versions within arm's reach. Difficult passages are often made easier to interpret by comparing versions.
I purchased one computer Bible program solely because it contained both the GNB and Message Bible versions.
I highly recommend this Bible.

Book Description
Publication Date: January 1, 1976 (not true)
Glossary Chronology of the Bible Book introductions Outlines Guides to reading the Bible Readings for special days 1,185 pp.
I just received this Good News Bible and discovered that this is NOT the edition stated in the Book Description. This is 1992 Second Edition which changed the original text from the first edition to politically correct gender neutral language. Since 1992 this version of Good News is called GNT, Good News Translation. In case of the Bible and other spiritual literature the edition date is very important and should not be misrepresented. It would have been helpful also if the Bible sellers clearly stated in the Book Description if their edition of the Bible included apocrypha or if they at least allowed to look inside.
