Another great read for laurelin. Livvy wants a baby but not a relationship or a man until she sees a sexy cop Chase. She wants him to be the father of her child and he agrees to it. After 2 months of trying they are successful but will their relationship so end or get hotter. Loved the story

Hot Cop by Laurelin Paige
Chase Kelly is the hot cop known for his womanizing ways and good time attitude. He never wants to settle down due to his job and what he encounters every day. He comes across as arrogant, however he does have a softer side to him especially where his nephews are concerned. Livia is the Librarian that is in a tail spin. She is one year away from turning 30 and she is so put off by men. We never fully understand the full reason she is so put off by men. She decides all she wants is a baby before turning 30 and she wants to do it on her own. When Chase and Livia’s paths cross, there is definitely a sexual attraction. When she accepts a date with him, he is shocked to learn what she wants from him and he is more than willing to help her. And so the journey of sexual encounters starts, all in the name of falling pregnant. The story was okay for me. I found at times there was just too much hanky-panky and it became too much of an overkill. The sexual encounters overtook the storyline and the character development was missing. There was no spark or feeling the emotions of love blossoming. There was just something missing in this story and I struggled to connect with this one. Overall it was just an okay read for me.

Overall Opinion: Welp...if you want some hot sexy cop sex -- this is the book for you! I would definitely categorize this as erotica more than romance, but that might just be me. The romance and the characters didn't ever get that deep, and the relationship pretty much consisted of just hot sexy scenes with a few other encounters (that usually resulted in sex) thrown in. Nothing wrong with that! But don't go into this expecting something more than what it is...pure smut! Luckily I wasn't expecting more, so I still enjoyed it ?
**See Goodreads.com/NMmomof4 for my full review with spoilers**
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Livia and Chase's story. They meet on a call for Chase who is a police officer, and they bump into one another once again at the library that Livia works at. Chase convinces Livia to go on a date, and Livia propositions him to have a no-strings-attached affair with her with the goal of getting her pregnant. He agrees, and they start a sexy affair. There are some walls that Chase has to get over to get to the real Livia, but after a lot of sexy times and some sweet moments he does...and they get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Livia and Chase's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I only skimmed over some of the sex scenes (??♀️!), but otherwise I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: No. Instalust? Yes.
H rating: 4 stars. Chase. I liked him. He was hot, sweet, and the right amount of alpha for me.
h rating: 3 stars. Livia. She was ok. I didn't have any feelings for her one way or the other tbh.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Yes
Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- at times I did feel like it took away from the story, because there was A LOT of sex in this.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: No!
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Not really.
Closure: This had ok closure with a cute jump ahead epilogue and a HEA ending.
How I got it: I got it with my kindle unlimited subscription.

What a fun and sexy read! It was lighthearted and hilarious, but serious and thoughtful when it needed to be.
I fell in love with Chase and Livia immediately and didn't want to put this book down! Their chemistry was scorching hot and had me fanning myself for most of the book. I mean, who can resist playing Sexy Librarian and Find the Nightstick?!? ;) Their playful banter and innuendo had me laughing so hard! I also really appreciated that there wasn't any unnecessary drama thrown into the mix, like crazy exes or other women/men truly competing for our hero and heroine's affections. The issues both Chase and Livia face are honest and realistic fears and made me root for them more. I'm normally not a fan at all of the manwhore hero, but once Chase meets Livia, it's acknowledged and all left in the past. Seeing him be so nurturing and committed to Livia and the prospect of becoming a father was so endearing. Throw in that he's actually a closet nerd and I was sold!
Although the plot was fairly predictable (there was a surprise or two though!), it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all. The epilogue was beyond perfect and left a huge smile on my face. I loved the overall message of the book about living life fully and not letting fear control or stop you. This is my first book by Laurelin Paige & Sierra Simone together, but I know it won't be my last!

This is my first book by Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone and it will not be my last. They has a certain writing style that gets my attention and keeps it. This book will make you think of how our first responders live their lives and how their spouses' must feel, among getting older and feeling like your life has went no where. This book will make you hot, will make you tingle and will make you ache, all the while, pull at your heart strings.
I am going to start off with Liv Ward. The 29 year old librarian that also helps teens, feels like she has not accomplished any thing in her life. With her 30th birthday fast approaching , she feels as if her life is going to be over, with nothing to show for it. She has sworn off men, and love because she can't count on them being trustworthy and faithful. Liv is tired of being lonely, and wants someone to love her, so in her future she sees a baby with no man. A baby is all she will ever need, come hell or high water she will have a baby.
Now, Chase Kelly. Dear sweet baby Jesus Chase Kelly. The hot as sin law enforcement officer, the guy who likes everything in order like the weights at the gym, the guy who lives with his grandfather, the hottie who watches his nephews every Thursday while his sister works at the town library also known as the Chase Kelly the guy with the trio, dinner, drinks, and handcuffs for his one night stands. Chase is the guy that has seen so much ugliness and death in his line of duty, that it has ruined him for having a real life of his own. He wants no wife, and no kids because of it. His job is is life, he wants this world to be safe and he also wants his fellow officers safe, and in doing so he is trying to get his police department the equipment it needs.
What starts off as an ordinary day, Liv receives a text message from a teenage activist that she helps guide down the right path stating she needs her and quick. So Liv hops in the car and heads straight to her, to find Ryan (the teenage activist) with herself chain linked to a tree, with a sign that states, " Do you think my thoughts are impure?" Trying to get Ryan out of trouble approaches the hottest cop she has ever seen. And her ovaries basically go..... BOOM!! When their eyes meet, it is an instant connection between both. What starts off of an instant connection, quickly turns into a dinner out and next thing you know Liv and Chase think they can give each other what they want; a few nights of fun for Chase Kelly, and a no strings attached baby for Liv Ward. But as every one knows, you can only play with fire for so long before someone gets burned.
This was a magnificent book. I can't wait to read more from these authors.
*I received this book in part for, my honest opinion.

I loved Laurelin and Sierra's last collaboration (P*rn Star), so I couldn't wait to get my hands on Hot Cop. And WOW! They did not disappoint. It's a sexy romcom, full of dirty talk and lots of sex, so if that isn't your thing, then keep on going...
Livia wants a baby before she's 30. Chase just wants in Livia's pants. They agree to a no-strings-attached temporary relationship so he can get his fill of the sexy librarian he can't get off of his mind, and she can get her (literal!) fill of him and the baby she so desperately wants. Chase, knowing the danger that goes along with being a police officer, is married to his job and never planned to be a family man. Livia has an obsession with dying and people leaving her, and doesn't want to get romantically involved. But of course, neither of them expect that strings and feelings will start to attach between them.
While there is plenty of playing "find the nightstick" -- and in some rather interesting places! -- there is also alot of brutally honest moments between Chase and Livia that save this book from just being a sexfest. My one complaint about Hot Cop is that I didn't think there was enough explanation about WHY Livia is so afraid of people leaving her. Yeah, she never knew her dad, but I didn't think there was enough there to make her so skittish when it comes to relationships. I wish there was more explanation given as to where this fear of hers stems from. The reader knows why Chase is Officer Good Times, but the motivation for Livia's swearing off men was a bit too vague.
The plot to Hot Cop is somewhat predictable, but Simone and Paige crafted two complex, strong characters, and supporting characters that added nicely to the story without stealing Chase and Livia's shadow. (Pop and his "quail hunting" cracked me up!) There's a real arc in Chase and Livia's relationship, and the reader is taken along on the journey as they discover things about themselves that they never realized they wanted, and try to navigate this story of their life together.
Hot Cop is the perfect beach read!

Livia Ford and Chase Kelly have totally different views about love and commitment, but that might change in "Hot Cop" by Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone. Livia is a librarian who has given up on men because she doesn't trust them and they always leave her. She is approaching 30 and she hears her biological clock ticking. She desperately wants a baby, but she’s still in search of the right guy.
Chase is a police officer who works the traffic detail. His dating motto is "Dinner, Drinks and Handcuffs." He never has trouble finding women to spend the night with, but it is always for one night. He knows he is hot and all the ladies love cops — what a dangerous combination! One morning he reports to the high school where a student, Ryan, has chained herself between two trees, blocking the driveway. Fortunately for Chase, Livia knows Ryan from the library and comes to help her. Livia took one look at Chase and she stopped breathing. He was so yummy, from his well-clipped beard down to his shiny boots, and she just knew he would have sexy eyes beneath his Aviators. He was the whole package.
Livia was able to convince Chase that Ryan would behave in the future, so he did not press charges. Livia, still under the hot cop spell, took off like a coward and went home. Chase was determined to find Livia and luckily for him, his sister also worked at the library, so he came up with a plan to see her again. She intrigued him and he had to have her.
Will Livia decide that Chase is the man who can make all her dreams come true? Will Chase agree to Livia's proposal?
"Hot Cop " is funny, romantic and sexy. It made me laugh from the very beginning. I truly loved this book and I hope to see more hot and sexy stories from Laurelin and Sierra.

it was amazing
I so loved this book! Chase Kelly is one HOT COP and funny too! Olivia Ward is a sexy librarian who has sworn off men but decides that she wants a baby! This takes place in Prairie Village, Kansas which is an actual place and I live close to it so it was really great to read about places that I know in such a sexy and funny book.
Chase is the no relationship kind of guy. He doesn't want a family and is fine with his decision. He is a great uncle, brother and grandson to his family. Chase is great at his job and enjoys it.
Olivia Ward is a single woman who, after a few failed relationships, decides that she doesn't want and/or need a man in her life. However, she does want a family so she decides to have a baby.
Chase and Olivia met when one of Olivia's library patron, a teenage girl, decides to protest about something that her high school has banned and calls Olivia to help her out of her situation! The situation is hilarious and when Chase and Olivia met, Olivia kind of goes off in fantasies about Hot Cop Chase and what they can do together physically!
Chase tracks Olivia down at her job to follow up on his question of a date. Olivia accepts a date and that's where the best things about the book happens. Olivia agrees to a physical relationship with Chase if he will impregnate her so she can have a baby! Emotions are NOT to be involved in this arrangement but when you have such a Hot guy as Chase around and the sex is so hot, things never go as plan.
The adventure that Chase and Olivia embarks on is such a perfect read - lots of sex, romance and hilarity! You need to read this book! It will make you want your own cop and makes you laugh at life!
Thanks Sierra and Laurelin for the best story! Can't wait for more!

Holy Hotness Batman this book is HAF ???
Hot, funny and witty - the holy trinity of romantic comedies
Five stars for Officer Panty-Thief Kelly. Officer I’m-Sexy-in-Blue-Jeans-Too Kelly. Officer I’m-Not-Wearing-My-Sunglasses-and-Now-You-Must-Drown-in-My-Eyes Kelly. I would give him more stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
He is the perfect alpha, dirty talking, back it up with performance not words kinda book boyfriend.
“I want to see you put it in your mouth, like a good girl,” he tells me. “Can you do that for me, kitten?”
The authors have found the perfect formula for this story of the sexy womaniser Cop and the sweet, beautiful Librarian. Lots of emotions in this story to go with all the laughs and for a Rom Com I also sniffled a few tears.
It’s a simple white onesie with black letters that say My Mom is Beautiful. My chest knots, and I look up at Chase. He shrugs like it’s no big deal. “Someone needs to remind you when I’m not around.” Then he’s thinking about that too. About how he’s not going to be involved. I let him buy it for me. For us. For his baby. And so I’ll remember when he’s not around.
The chemistry of the characters was out of control and if a dirty talking alpha cop does it for you (and let's be honest - who doesn't like a dirty talking alpha) then the sex scenes in this book may cause you to spontaneously combust.
“You think another man can make you come like I do?” Finally, honesty. She shakes her head. “No,” she breathes against my neck. “Only you.” “F#@$ing right there’s only me. And there’s only you, kitten.
Definitely recommend this book and suggest you have clean panties available - Officer Chase can cuff me any time.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Livia and Chase's story. They meet on a call for Chase who is a police officer, and they bump into one another once again at the library that Livia works at. h rating: 3 stars. Livia. She was ok. I didn't have any feelings for her one way or the other tbh.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Yes
Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- at times I did feel like it took away from the story, because there was A LOT of sex in this.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: No!
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Not really.
Closure: This had ok closure with a cute jump ahead epilogue and a HEA ending.

Instalust? Yes.

This story is excellent! It has everything. Livia and Chase are both seemingly out to avoid relationships. Chase is Officer Good Times. He isn't looking to settle down in some kind of long-term relationship. Livia has been burnt before and all she wants is to have a baby before she gets too old. (You know she's already 29!!! Geez). Seems like the perfect arrangement, until it isn't. They have an undeniable chemistry that sizzles on the pages. The dirty talk and banter would make anyone blush. But more than that, their characters are truly likeable and you find yourself rooting for them to make it throughout the book. There were so many quotes that really touched my heart as I was reading. I found myself feeling the gamut of emotions. I can't recommend this one enough. It was one of those books that you start reading and don't want to put down until you are done.
