One more time, Melanie Harlow enthralled me!
Everything about this book was amazing. The characters, their personalities, the plot, the intensity and deepness of the feelings, all of them, and there were a lot! Happiness, angst, pain, fear, lust, resentment, wonder, doubt, grief, love. Love again. Lots of love!
Since the beggining this was a book to seduce and get addicted to. I love how Melanie writes. She is a story teller, she is envolving, convincing and with each page, I was more and more connected to the characters and their stories.
This book was real. All of the feelings I said (and so many others) were real, they were almost palpable. They were so intense I could feel them too. I suffered, I laughed, I nearly cried, I was sorry for so many things like I knew the characters, like their grief and struggle were my own.
Hannah and Wes were so connected, they were partners. They supported each other and that helped brought them together. But this connection wasn't the only thing. They respected each other's feelings, they valued and legitimated their fight. They understood each other.
Watching them get closer, seeing theirs feelings grow (specially Hannah's, since Wes had feelings for her way back in time) was a sight to behold. I cherished every moment they had like they were my own.
And their relationship with Abby was heart melting!
I loved seeing some old faces there, like Margot, Jack and their family. I loved the group of friends Hannah had to help her stang the grief. They were so real and I wanted more of them!
And when judgment came from people who had nothing better to do (even family), I felt so much anger and pain! I wanted Hannah, Wes and Abby to be happy, I wanted them to have what they deserved, I wanted love to win! And it did, it so did!
This book was amazing! Full of learning and love, something like After We Fall! (well, and other books by Melanie)
I have this feeling that everytime Melanie writes somethig, I have something to learn, I become a better person. And since I'm a good student, I won't stop reading her!

From This Moment by Melanie Harlow is a full-length, standalone, romance novel.
From This Moment is a intensive, emotional read and I cried my way through the book. Prepare, you'll need hankies.
Hannah doesn't live, she merely exists. She's grieving her late husband and lives only for her little girl.
To make things worse, Wes her husbands twin is back from years away in Afrika.
She can't bear to look at him. But he's the only one who understands her feelings. She's so desperate and angry.
But slowly their feelings change. " And when our secret threatens to destroy his family and my reputation, we’ll have to decide what’s more important—loyalty or love? "
Let me tell you, this book did a number on me. I read it in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. I cried, and then I cried more for the characters. You can feel their pain and their emotions in the words.
This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but Melanie Harlow has accomplished just that. I love the story, the characters and the words so much. The writing is great, this book sucked me in and I was hooked from page one.
I highly recommend From This Moment and wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thank you so much, Melanie Harlow !

Forbidden love, a judged love and an epic love. I read the first couple chapters with a lump in my throat. This book encompassed all I love in a story. Struggling with the decision whether the love was right or wrong. Letting other people influence your way of thinking. So many parts I found myself so choked up. My heart went out to all these characters. Is love worth the fight? What would these characters do and how much were they willing to sacrifice to be together?
Secrets came out along the way that I totally did not see coming. I was crying one moment, angry and frustrated then swooning in the next breath.
I loved reading about the past. Learning how this situation came to be. Wes and Drew could not be any more different. One the life of the party one silent and reserved but both head over heals for Hannah.
Drew and Hannah's daughter Abby totally stole me heart! Oh Abby at 76%! My heart went out to that little girl.
I have to say the scene between Wes, Pete and Jack totally cracked me up. Wes totally owned this book but I was lying if I said I didn't squeal every time Jack's name was mentioned. Him with a baby... sigh.
From This Moment was an extremely moving and touching read. Highly recommended read! Bravo Melanie for another beautifully heartfelt novel.

The blurb for From This Moment completely sucked me in and the book itself did not disappoint! Falling in love with your dead husband's twin has to be one of the most forbidden of forbidden romances, but Hannah and Wes were so amazing together, I was rooting for them from the start.
I felt Hannah's pain and grief as she tried to come to grips with having Wes in her life when he reminded her so much of Drew. The added complications of how Wes affected her daughter, Abby, were heartbreaking. But MH takes the reader along as the two fall in love -- well, Wes has always been in love with Hannah, since he met her first. It was more like MH took the reader along as Hannah came to grips with moving on and with her brother-in-law, no less. It's a pet peeve of mine to be told something, not shown it, and I felt like I was seeing their relationship change and evolve.
The heart wants what the heart wants, and I shed more than a few tears when Wes and Hannah got their HEA. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Based on this synopsis, I fully expected Melanie Harlow to bring the angst and to bring me to tears, and while there are many sad moments, I found From this Moment to be a story of love and healing and hope for the future versus one of sadness and despair.
The heroine and widow of the story, Hannah has suffered a loss that unfortunately many woman deal with and one no one wants to imagine. From this loss, she has shielded her heart from any form of love and any type of relationship with the exception of her daughter. Her emotional state in the beginning of the novel, while it is one I have never personally experienced, is one that connected me to her as a character. I can sympathize with her emotional state. I can understand how she feels about the world, her husband, and her future. Her desire to get up and "live" for her daughter and the well-being of her daughter is one most parents will understand. Her emotional struggle upon seeing Wes and spending more time with him is also a delicate situation, and I thought Melanie Harlow did a fantastic job with honoring the budding relationship between Wes and Hannah and not demeaning or downplaying the marriage of Hannah and Drew, which sometimes happens in these types of tropes. I loved that Hannah, once she decides on how she feels, never waivers on her feelings. Now, that doesn't mean her decisions and course of action doesn't change, but her feelings, what she admits to herself, don't, and I found that to be incredibly likable.
Wes is truly the perfect hero to come and begin the healing process with Hannah. Not only does he heal her but he also heals the daughter as well as the entire family. He is sweet, compassionate, and understanding nature makes him the perfect man to give Hannah and Abby the future they and he deserves. Underneath that sweet man, though, is a kinkier side I never expected based on how we see him publicly and with Abby. When these two are alone, readers really get to see a much more domineering and adventurous side to his character. Although, there are times that his compassion and understanding mucks everything up, his torment over it is felt, and readers root for him to resolve the issues because they love him.
From This Moment has a hard story-line to sell. Like Lenore, society tends to judge, verbally and non-verbally. We don't understand how someone falls in love with a brother of a deceased husband, but Melanie Harlow takes a step further by making them identical twins. It added a whole new layer of controversy and issues for the couple. This author, however, does an amazing job and showcasing that love can't be contained or controlled. She gives each relationship its just dues, and she never discredits one brother or relationship for the other. And although readers may walk into the story with preconceived notions about what is proper, they will leave the story fully believing that love wins, that these two deserve each other and the happiness they provide one another. It is truly a touching and tender story, one of my favorites.
Melanie Harlow continues to be one of my one-click authors. This particularly series of angsty, inter-connected standalones has shown me another side of her writing, where she tackles loss and heartache, exemplifying how love heals and makes a person whole again. Each book personifies the essence of love and exhibits how we can get through anything if we open our hearts.

Gosh, this was such an emotional love story about a woman, Hannah Parks who is struggling with her feelings and life in general after the loss of her husband. She has lost her faith in all things good, except for her child. Life and love everlasting is now a thing of the past, buried right next to her husband.
No one likes to see her hurting in this way, least of all her deceased husband’s twin brother, Andrew.
Drew as he prefers to be called, has returned home after spending years, not just in another country but a whole other continent. Why? Because he was in love with his brother’s girl.
Now, after coming home with the plan to help look after his brother’s widow and child, he and Hannah are fighting their feelings. They feel it’s forbidden to love each other the way they are starting to.
It’s especially hard for Hannah to see her dead husband’s face around town knowing it’s not him, her struggle felt so real. Her grief and heartache were so close to the surface it was sometimes hard to read. There were a ton of tears shed in these moments. But she finally gets the chance to escape the despair and pain.
Drew was there for her and helped however he could as he was struggling too, loving his brother’s wife. But he wasn’t going to give up the chance to be with the woman he’d loved from afar for so long. He stepped aside before, but not now. His determination to make not just Hannah, but his niece his own and to win their hearts was so sweet. Drew was such a sexy man, how could Hannah resist for long.
Of course there was those who frowned on their connection but should they be influenced by that?
Will they allow others to dictate how they should live their lives or will they through convention to the winds and just be happy as they are?

Oh my, Melanie Harlow continues to slay me with the most gorgeous love stories. This book was so beautiful and emotional and ahhh, my heart! I can barely form words for how I feel about this. This is the kind of story I live for.
Hannah and Wes’ story was so unique. Here you have two people grieving the same loss, they find a connection and happiness in each other, but the guilt they had was palpable. Oh my god, I really felt it in my heart. The inner dialogue throughout the book from both characters was sooooo good. It seriously had my insides all tied up. The author has a really incredible way of doing that to me every single time.
The connection these two had was amazing. I just love it when I’m super invested in fictional happiness, and they were both so lovable that you couldn’t help but root for them. The way Wes felt for Hannah was just everything. And I truly wanted Hannah to find her herself again. Sigh, I could gush about these two for days.
This review is probably all over the place but that’s exactly how the book had me. I was happy and sad, I cried, I was turned on and I loved every word of it. It was perfect, absolutely perfect.

Every book of Melanie Harlow’s that I have picked up I have found myself loving, the passion that she has for writing always shows within the story and you can’t help but fall in love with her work. I know for a fact that what I’m about to say will make people have mixed opinions, however, for me I found the lead female character Hannah really annoying and getting on my last nerve. Don’t get me wrong she is such a sweet girl and I know that she has been through a lot, but honestly, eighteen months is a long time. I found Hannah to constantly be complaining in her head about something or other and it just made me think, I get that your hurting and that you had a life planned out but surly she would have been focusing more on her daughter instead of drowning herself in guilt. Losing someone is never easy, hell, I’ve been through it and I know for a fact that it hurts. However, you have to keep going and living because at the end of the day that is what they would have wanted.
I found Wes to be such a total sweetheart, don’t get me wrong he did make mistakes and screw up but I still thought that he was so sweet from the very first moment he appeared in the book. I feel for him because he goes through a lot in this book and the fact that he’s harbouring a ten-year long crush on the one girl who is supposedly off-limits. I don’t blame him for going for it when he has the chance, but I do love the fact that he is such a shy guy, it makes him all that much sweeter. Throughout this book it’s pretty much a roller-coaster of emotions and honestly, I had no idea how this book was going to turn out but I still think that Melanie did such an amazing job with it, even though I couldn’t stand the lead female character. But honestly, I think that you should go ahead and pick up this book and give it a read.

This book - oh, my god, it was just incredible from start to finish. The very first page reels you in and doesn't let go until the very end. You can just feel the heartbreak and angst wafting off the pages, but also...hope. Yes, there is hope for a brighter future, but it is a future that is hard-fought-for. Nothing comes easy for Hannah and Wes in this story. They struggle from the very beginning of their re-acquaintance. They struggle with the ghosts of their pasts, their budding feelings for each other, and even society's perception of their being together in the first place. It is so sad and hopeful and beautiful, it tears at the heart and makes you want to cry. At the heart of their issues is who he is to her - her late husband's twin. Sure, she can get past his resemblance to her husband to acknowledge his differences from him, but just the fact that he is her brother-in-law is a huge obstacle for Hannah to overcome. So it is a long, rocky journey for her to accepting what they have together - what they could have together. For Wes, it's a little different. He's always loved Hannah, but never acted on his feelings because his brother swooped in and swept her off her feet - right in front of him. So when circumstances arise to bring them together in a romantic way, he's all in, finally realizing his dreams of being with her. He is just such a loving, nurturing guy, both to Hannah and her five-year-old daughter, and it was heartbreaking to see what he went through in order to finally claim is one true love. This is a heart-rending story, yes - but it's also a story of hope. And, ultimately, love.

Wow this book really left me emotional when I finished it. It was a very raw and intense love story featuring loss, grief, healing, second chances, love and passion. Its a breath-taking story that shows even when you think there is no light at the end of the tunnel, that you are purely existing instead of truly living, that you can find a chance at happiness again.
Melanie Harlow has done a brilliant job at writing this enticing story, her writing draws you in and makes you feel everything along with the characters. The pain and love that Hannah and Wes go through feels so real and so very raw. My heart actually ached for them.
Tissues will be needed, well I certainly needed them myself. This is a definite MUST READ

Melanie Harlow...what have you done with my heart?! This book is definitely a 100 freaking marshmallow stars!.
I will put in simple words what it was this story, an emotional rollercoaster, a sinful love, a pure and genuine one and mostly?! My fav book from you.
Hannah took a decision years ago and she chose love, having Drew as a husband was everything she ever wanted until he left her with a broken heart and a little girl.
Wesley meet the girl of his dreams, he never could say to ask to go out cause his twin came in and never doubted his feelings for Hannah.
Wes came back years ago, a life without his twin was a disaster and he needed to take care of his family now, even if that means to take care of the ex wife of his brother.
Grief was a feeling that Hannah learned to deal with it, but not when she saw the face of man that she loves in the body of another man.
He left her once because he wanted his brother to be happy, w wasn’t ready to say goodbye a second time. After all it was what his brother would want it. To take care of the woman that he always loved.
Omg!!! This story was incredible stunning and amazing, made me cry so much( Abby is my new fav) and gave me all the emotions in one chapter. I don’t have words for this! It was so perfect!

Melanie Harlow has really out done herself with this beautiful book!! She had me hooked right from the very start!! It starts off with a sad undertone. Hannah is a young mother and widow, who is trying to cope with the loss of her husband. Her late husband was an identical twin in which she had a history with. Just being around him brings up confusing feelings. Wes has returned home from Africa to help his father with his medical practice. Now he has to face Hannah and her little girl Abby. Wes has always had feelings for Hannah but had problems expressing his thoughts. Then it was too late, his twin brother married the girl of his dreams!! he also has to deal with his jealous and over protective mother. I also enjoyed the scenes where we got to spend some time with Jack and Margot from one of Melanie's previous books. Great to find out where their life together has taken them. This story has so many emotions, so many twists. I love the way Melanie gives each of her characters such realism, you feel all their feels. She writes with enough angst to get you all tied in knots but holds back enough to keep it real. I was so looking forward to this book. The teasers were killing me and OMG Melanie never disappoints!!! This book is definitely one of my favourite reads of 2017!!!

I absolutely loved Wes and Hannah’s story. Their emotions weren’t over dramatic in any way. It was so real that I couldn’t help but root for them, and simultaneously want to slap them so they’d get over their insecurities. Wes was so loving and sweet, but also a man’s man. The only thing I didn’t like was…*minor spoiler alert*...a bad thing Drew did. This is probably one of the longest books Melanie Harlow wrote, but I felt like the story went by way too quickly. I wanted the build up for Hannah and Wes to last a bit longer...but then again, I didn’t want the book to end either. Definitely one of my top fave Melanie Harlow books since the Frenched series

Wow. I absolutely loved this book. Melanie blew me away with this one. This story follows Hannah and Wes and them finding comfort in each other after Hannahs Husband dies (Wes's Twin brother). Even though Wes look identical to his twin brother and is the complete opposite Hannah is drawn to him for his own reasons and Wes has secretly always been in love with Hannah. Their affair is not an easy one. They have to fight his mother, and learn that who cares what others think. Their love is strong and quick but so worth it in the end. I truly loved this book. I loved Wes and wish I could take him home with me.

Hannah thought she knew what her life would entail with some many plans, but all that changed in an instant. Her husband died suddenly throwing all those plans out the window. She's been moving forward for the benefit of her daughter and felt she had a handle on her grief.
Wes has been away for a long time and the time has finally come for him to return. He's glad to be back and ready to start this new chapter in his life.
Running into Hannah was an unexpected accident, but a very happy one for Wes, he's always harbored a secret crush for her for years.
Hannah is surprised when she sees Wes because he's her late husband's brother... twin brother. He looks like Drew, but the more time she spends with him the more she is able to see the difference between the two.
Feelings neither expected begin to surface and they try to fight it with every fiber of their being, but some things you just can't help.
Keeping it a secret, they navigate their way through this new relationship. But when word starts to get out, will this new couple be able to withstand the pressure? Or will it be too much to handle and cause a rift between them?
From This Moment is a story about healing and learning to love again and I loved every minute of it. I loved how much they tried to fight their feeling but when there was no way to continue fighting they ignited like an inferno. Wes meet and loved Hannah first, but stepped aside for his brother all those years ago. Now with a second chance to win the girl of his dreams, he won't let her get away again.
I how Hannah embraces Wes for Wes and not just because he resembles her long departed husband. She also loves her daughter and always puts her first. Hannah is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for.
As a hero, Wes is everything you could ask for. Sure he's got the looks and the money, but he's more than that. He's smart, talented, loyal, caring, and loves with his whole heart. He'd moved heaven and earth for the people he loves most. He's the type of man that you can't help but swoon over.
I truly enjoyed From This Moment and would highly recommend it. The couple suffered a lose, but found a way to move past their grief and embrace their love. There are a few bumps in the road, but in the end love conquers all.
Wes has been away for a long time and the time has finally come for him to return. He's glad to be back and ready to start this new chapter in his life.

Uhhhh this book has sooo many emotions. Which should be expected if you have read the blurb before hand. Our female lead Hannah has lost her husband to a heart attack. Being a single parent is hard enough but running into the spitting image of your late husband is really hard to see and cope with when you’re still grieving. Hannah is having a hard time already and now things are getting even harder when her daughter is even confusing her uncle Wes to her dad and sometimes Hannah does that as well. Yet as Hannah lets herself get to know Wes (her late husbands twin brother) she realizes all the differences they have and the ones they don’t are really good qualities. Plus the more we learn about Wes we realize that maybe he was the right brother all along.
I love the connection that Wes and Hannah have. Wes understands her pain and has felt some of it himself. He is able to speak what Hannah is feeling and able to see through her lies before she can. It was amazing to watch a women so broken, so afraid that life is too short and not forever realize she has a future ahead of her with someone who could be a forever.
I ADORED THIS BOOK. I CONSUMED EVERY PAGE AND COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. I WAS FIERCELY IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS AS INDIVIDUALS AND EVEN MORE TOGETHER. This is the ultimate example of a difficult situation.
1.He’s her deceased husband’s identical twin (whoa!)
2. They live in a small town (nosy people)
3. Young, impressionable daughter
4. Judgemental mother in law
5. Their own guilt and grief
To say these two have obstacles to overcome is an understatement. But Hannah is still young and deserves to still lead a happy, full life! And Wes, adorable Wes who’s shy and quieter, deserves a chance at real, everlasting love and family. Not to mention, sweet Abby deserves anything that little girl’s heart desires.
Melanie painted a vivid picture of what it would be like to lose your husband, the many sides of it. I felt like I understood what Hannah was going through. And to top that off with such a vicious mother in law! UGH she was so horrible! But Melanie still showed her more human side. Oh I adored her father in law- perceptive, funny man.
This book was well written, the story was fascinating and unique, with well rounded characters. On a side note, Port Huron was mentioned more than once, I live an hour from there, and it really is the closest place from me to do bigger shopping, so I loved the mention of it. I also like hearing how characters from other stories are doing! I could go on and on about this book, really. But I won't, I'll just say- I loved it.

I found my new favorite book by this author! From This Moment is heartbreakingly beautiful! I couldn't flip through the pages fast enough. I was so invested in the characters. This book is a mix of Forbidden and second chance romance. I don't think I've ever read a story with both of these together. It worked so well! I was drawn to this story line.
Wes and Hannah met first but Wes was to shy and didn't make a move before his twin brother did. Hannah ended up marrying his brother, Drew. Hannah loses her husband to a heart attack which leaves her devastated and feeling hopeless and no joy in life. Wes comes back to town and Hannah gets happier and doesn't feel as lonely. She is confused by her feelings. She isn't for sure if she's drawn to Wes because he is Drew's twin brother or because there is something real between them. Their are decisions that have to be made and consequences to those decisions. Will it be worth it?
I loved that this love story didn't happen instantly. They had to work and fight for it. It was intense reading the push and pull and seeing them try to fight their feelings because they wanted to do what they thought was right in someone else's eyes. Melanie Harlow delivers another beautiful love story.

From This Moment was so good! It was emotional, a little angsty, beautiful and sweet. Wes and Hannah's journey was not an easy one but in the end they definitely made it work! I loved Wes and Hannah, they were great together and I loved how much he cared and loved her and Abby. As usual this book was amazing, I devoured it!!

There are defining moments in everyone’s lives and for Hannah and Wes, the day Wes returns home sets in motion an array of overwhelming and unexpected feelings - ones that are as painful as they are empowering and ones that no-one can truly understand because the situation that Hannah and Wes find themselves in is not something anyone could have ever anticipated, which makes what occurs quite contradictory, making Hannah and Wes’ blossoming relationship both taboo and essential.
Melanie Harlow does an amazing job of illustrating how Hannah processes her grief and how her life becomes all about protecting and loving her daughter despite how heartbroken she is. Hannah is an incredible heroine who is always clear on who she is and what she wants despite how others treat her, especially when they realize that Hannah is trying to move on, and the person who does her damnedest to crucify Hannah for her choices is her ex-mother-in-law. I don’t think I could have handled that woman as gracefully as Hannah does and while her mother-in-law’s barb do puncture her at times, Hannah does her best to remain untainted by that witch’s judgments, which is how she can endure all that nastiness that is thrown her way.
Wes is quite the enigma. Harlow paints him as a protective, gentle, and honorable man and while he is all of those things, he also likes control and likes to dominate Hannah in the bedroom, which is a side to Wes that comes out in only certain situations and damn are those moments HOT!
Hannah and Wes’ story is consumed with angst due to who they were to one another in the past and who they’re becoming to men to each other in the present…the past is a heavy burden for both of them and it’s difficult to forget who held Hannah’s heart first, but it’s clear that once Hannah comes to terms with how she feels for Wes, she does her best to live in the present, no longer dwelling on what she lost but enjoying what she’s found when she least expected it.
From the moment Hannah and Wes reconnected, their friendship started to heal their wounds and free them from their respective pasts. Both of them needed to understand that the only opinions that truly mattered were their own and the little girl who owns their heart, and while both Hannah and Wes make some decisions that make things difficult, it’s made clear that they’ll weather the heartbreak, the pain, and the judgments together as a united front, continuing to move forward despite other’s plans to keep them in the past.
The heart wants what the heart wants, regardless of judgmental attitudes, guilty thoughts, or feelings of betrayal, and in Melanie Harlow’s newest release, From This Moment, this idea is tragically and beautifully illustrated, forcing characters and readers down an emotional and angst-driven path - one that proves that new love can be found even after extraordinary loss and that a man who in many ways is identical to the one who left this world can be the soothing and healing balm that’s needed to start living and feeling again.
Such a beautiful and emotional story!

Melanie Harlow blew it out of the water with this book. I think it's her best yet!
Hannah is a widow and single mom. It's been 18 months since her husband, Drew, died unexpectedly. His identical twin brother, Wes, has just moved back home to take over the family medical practice. He's been in Africa working with Doctors without Borders. When Hannah sees Wes again, she thinks she's seeing a ghost at first. Being around him is hard, but he's family and she can't keep her daughter, Abby, from her Uncle. As they spend time together, Wes reveals the feelings he has had for Hannah for over 10 years, and she begins having feelings for him too. As their relationship grows, Wes' mother begins to judge and things start to fall apart. Can they overcome the judgement of others and be happy together?
This book is very emotional and heart warming. You can't help but love Wes and be heart broken for Hannah with all she's been through. Such a beautiful love story that keeps you turning the pages til the very end.

'In no universe were these feelings about my brother’s wife okay. They’d never been okay.
But what could I do?'
This book was absolutely amazing! I was hooked right from the beginning and I couldn’t get enough of these characters and this heart-achingly beautiful story. This one is full of feels and deeply emotional, it was such a simple storyline but at the same time so complicated and heartbreaking. My heart squeezed time and again for these characters as they battled through their grief and their new feelings and all the stigmas that came along with it. At times it seemed like they were in an impossible situation but you can’t control who your heart wants, it certainly made for a difficult road for them to travel! The writing was wonderful and I finished with tears in my eyes, this was definitely a top read for me and one that’ll stick with me!
"Maybe I deserved to watch you fall in love with my brother instead of me. But maybe it just wasn't our time then. Maybe it’s our time now."
It’s taken Hannah Parks eighteen months to get to a place where she isn’t consumed by grief from losing her beloved husband, Drew. Her main reason to get out of bed is her sweet five-year-old daughter, Abby. Between her daughter, her new job that she loves, and a wonderful support group surrounding her, she thinks she may finally be on the path to healing. Any progress she’s made, however, is put in jeopardy when she runs into her late husband’s identical twin brother, Wes, who recently returned to their small town. It’s as if she’s seen a ghost and she can’t get past all the similarities. Wes is still grieving the loss of his twin but the moment he sees Hannah again he wants nothing more than to be there for her and Abby. These two are connected by their loss and understand each other better than most. The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to deny their growing feelings. But is love enough to overcome all the obstacles and judgement that come along with their socially forbidden relationship? Or will Hannah put her heart out there only to have it broken once again?
“What are you feeling?” he asked quietly.
“Like I wish things were different right now.” I shrugged helplessly, giving in to it. “For us. Do you ever wish that things were different?”
He didn’t even hesitate. “All the {censored} time.”
My heart still squeezes thinking back on this story! I really fell in love with these characters and their story touched me deeply. Right from the first chapter, my heart went out to Hannah, I could feel her grief over her loss. I mourned Drew, a character we never even met, I felt like I knew him and I could feel how much he meant to everyone. As we learn, he wasn’t perfect, but he was a good guy and he loved his family. Hannah lost her husband, Abby lost her father, Wes lost his brother, and Lenore and Doc lost their son. They were all tied together through this loss even though they all processed and dealt with it differently. It’s always tough moving on after losing a loved one, even though you know they’d want you to be happy, but it’s even tougher when the one you choose to move on with is also family. Then add the complication that Wes and Drew were identical twins and you’ve got a mess on your hands! Every emotion and every reaction was so realistic, sometimes it’ll make you angry, but it felt 100% authentic. Hannah and Wes had a very bumpy road but I was always rooting for them to find their happily ever after.
“Christ, Hannah.” His voice broke. “You’re killing me.”
And you’re bringing me back to life.
Hannah, for all she’s lost, was remarkably resilient and strong. She may not have felt like it and she may have had her doubts, but she was stronger than she realized and I loved how Wes and her other friends kept reminding her of that. She was also a wonderful mother to little Abby. Wes was all kinds of amazing. He loved his brother so much, but he also loved Hannah and I never felt like he was disrespecting his brother’s memory with his feeling for Hannah and Abby. I loved that he was sort of shy and how much he loved his family, even when they didn’t see eye to eye. He was an amazing man, amazing son, amazing lover for Hannah and an amazing father figure to Abby. I loved the healing that Hannah and Wes found in one another. They definitely tried to fight it, but the heart wants what the heart wants. This was a beautifully emotional, angsty, heart-wrenching, but ultimately heartwarming read and I highly recommend checking it out!!
“Say the word,” I whispered, rubbing a thumb over her soft, full lips. “Say you want me, and I’m yours.”
The three seconds she took to answer me were the longest of my life. “I want you, Wes. I want you to love me.”

Emotional book that had some moments that would break your heart and at times you'll be upset.
When I read the blurb I wondered how these two would get together. Wes and Hannah had history but that's something that I won't say how because it takes away from the building of their relationship.
Hannah was a widow and single mom who was living for her 5 year old daughter Abby. She wasn't moving on with her life. She had no desire for anything. Until Wes returned. Wes who is the identical twin brother of her deceased husband which had her thinking that he will confuse her daughter and wanted him to stay away.
Wes returned after his identical twin brother Drew passed away unexpectedly. He tries to build a relationship with Hannah and his niece Abby but there is clearly more. He fought against it but he just couldn't help falling in love with Hannah. Wes biggest obstacle is his mom that is so meddling I wanted to strangle her.
Wes and Hannah finally gave in and started a relationship which at first she was doubtful about because they live in a small town and all they do is gossip but Wes didn't care. Hannah let go a little bit about the gossip but then things happen. And again I wanted to strangle Wes mom especially after finding out the trigger to Hannah's meltdown was someone from the past. I've never disliked a mother-in-law so much in a book like Lenore.
Wes and Hannah had good support system in the Valentini brothers, Jack ?, and their wives. It was nice to read about Margot and how she was adapting.
This is a great read with a 5 year old that asks lots of questions but is such a sweetheart. For a bit I wish Hannah was tougher on her mother-in-law just like Wes at times. She was very controlling and manipulative. But I'm happy these two got their HEA after overcoming that bump in the road.

From This Moment was such a sweet and sentimental second chance love story. It was small town romance with a big broken heart that needed some dancing to bring it back to life. Be still my heart, this book from Melanie Harlow just hit something inside me that made my heart ache and soar all at the same time.
I really liked Hannah. She was rightfully devastated by the sudden and unexpected loss of her husband but somehow found a way to push through. To survive. To try and make the best of an impossible situation for her and her little girl, Abby. All was going as good as it could until Wes, her late husband's twin brother, strolls back into town.
Sigh, Wes. That man swooped in a stole the show with his kindness and understanding. And his sexy body that he more than knew how to use. But it was the way he was with Hannah that made me swoon the hardest. With so much at stake, they had to take it slow His patience knew no bounds and I loved how he pushed her at pace that she was comfortable with. That's not to say it wasn't steamy because it sure was! These two steamed up the sheets, and the shower and the car and the...you get the point!
I also loved getting to catch up with Pete and Georgia and Margot and Jack from some of Melanie Harlow's other books. These characters added a necessary level of depth to both Hannah and Wes. And don't even get me started on the cuteness explosion that is Abby. That little girl with her joyful spirit was the light touch to break up all of the heaviness in everyone's heart. From pie to old fears and promises to family, From this Moment was one emotional turn after the other. Wes and Hannah's story is the epitome of following your heart.

Melanie Harlow's From This Moment is a powerful tale of one woman's second chance at love after the unexpected loss of her husband.
Wallowing in her sorrows, the only light left in Hannah's life is her five-year-old daughter Abby. She's a single mother and a widow, so her life is far from easy. Some days it's a struggle, others a fight, but she makes it through every day showing her strength knows no bounds.
Then Wesley, a familiar face shows up after being away for years. Now, for a brief moment think of the perfect man. Kind and loving, supportive in every way. Big-hearted, caring, compassionate, and just warm. That's Wes.
Both are drawn to each other in undeniable ways, yet there's plenty of apprehension and indecisiveness because Wes just so happens to be Hannah's late husband's twin brother. With Wes' mother's constant unwanted opinions and the grief that both Hannah and Wes feel continuously, From This Moment depicts angst at its best and the force that love can have upon your life.
Heavy and potent in emotion; gut-twisting, heartwrenching, stomach knotting emotion, Harlow has not only crafted poignant moments, but she's created feelings that not only stay with you, but reside, live, and breathe in you.

Melanie Harlow is masterful when it comes to writing stories with heartbreak and struggle that anyone can relate to in some way. From This Moment is no different, as it opens with Hannah finding her new normal as a widow and single mother, 18 months after the sudden death of her husband, Drew. She's settled into her routine with a fulfilling new job, a daughter reaching new milestones, and a support group of other widows. She's finding ways to be happy again, until the return of her husband's twin brother, Wes, rocks the foundation she's been building.
As if the angst of grief wasn't enough to draw me in, Wes' point of view of his history with his brother and Hannah had me gripped. I automatically was rooting for this couple, for all they had endured.
From This Moment shows a honest depiction of grief over the loss of a loved one from many points of view, with authenticity and heart. The story also builds the love and passion between two people until it becomes a palpable force. Their love and their pain are both fierce, which I think created an insurmountable bond that couldn't be denied, no matter how much they may have thought they should.
Love doesn't always win, but when it does, it is can be as breathtaking as From This Moment.

Honestly five stars isn't enough for this beautifully written book. Melanie has given us a truly wonderful emotional read. And has left me a blubbering mess. Hannah is a young widow who has finally started getting her life back after the sudden death of her husband. The last thing she needs is his identical twin brother showing up after being gone for years.
Wes loved her first but never told. He was always shy so he stepped aside when his brother showed an interest in the woman he knew was his one.
From This Moment is a book of love and loss. Picking yourself up and going on when that's the last thing you want to do. This is a definite must read but be warned you will need the Kleenex for this one. Five amazing stars...

Loved this book so much! Emotional and a bit angsty with a sweet romance and super hot steamy scenes - this book was everything I love about romance! To be totally honest, I was a bit hesitant going into this one - I was nervous about how the story would work with the hero being the deceased husband's twin. I love this authors writing so I wanted to give it a chance and I'm so glad I did. This was a heartfelt story, a grieving widowed single mom and the twin brother of the man she loved - there were people who would think it was wrong but they understood each other and had amazing chemistry. I'm totally swooning over this story, the characters and even the small town setting. I can't wait to read whatever this author writes next.

Wes and Hannah's story is a beautifully written tearjerker that warms your heart and soul. Elizabeth @ White Hot Reads
Wes gets the chance at love with Hannah, his late twin brother's wife and the first and only love of his life. He has waited over a year to come home, spending time in Doctors without Borders. He figured the time away from family and his grief would be the best for him, yet grieving away from family has not healed him entirely.
When he returns home at the request of his father whom is planning to retire from the family medical practice. Wes must start to take over the role that his brother lived, but being closer to Hannah and her daughter only makes him long for her more. It also opens up Hannah's heart to love and to overcome her grief.
Hannah doesn't come to her feelings easily for Wes, she is always plagued by guilt and grief. She doesn't know what is right or if her feeling are as well. She has a daughter to think of and is worried of what the entire town may think. If it was just herself she has to worry about she would move with her feelings, but she is worried of the backlash of her daughter and how her in laws would take it.

With every Melanie Harlow book I read I know there will definitely be some emotional feelings going on and this one had more than the others. Wes and Hannah's story is filled with heartache. I was hooked to their journey from the very beginning. I'm a huge fan of Boyfriend/Husband's brother stories and this one was a little different and a little more sad. I actually cried a few times while ready. You have Hannah who's lost her husband and his brother Wes that has been in love with her all along. These two have so many battles to fight that you wonder if they will ever get to their happy ending. But let me tell you even through their journey that is hard to stomach some times they somehow find a way to make you smile. This book had so many great things going on. It felt a little different from Melanie's other books but also the same at times. I couldn't put it down it blew me away with how much I felt for these two. I don't think another of her books made me feel this way. Touching story from start to finish. Well written and perfect story. Loved Abby and loved seeing past characters. A Great love story, a must read!!! I was given an ARC for my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved this story! It was a second chance at love story that was so heartbreaking but also so heartwarming, sweet and sexy! Everyone is still heartbroken two years after Drew's sudden death. Hannah thought she had forever with her husband and father of her young daughter, Abby. Now his twin brother, Wes, is home from Africa and he is bringing all her pain back to the surface. But Wes is hurting as well. He misses his twin brother, but he loved Hannah first, and he will do whatever it takes to help her and Abby be whole again. Wes is so sweet, patient, and loving. He looks like Drew on the outside but he is the opposite in every other way and is exactly what Hannah wants and needs. Hannah is smart, and strong, and such a wonderful mom to adorable little Abby. The growth of their relationship was so honest and real. They had to make sure it was true and that no one would be hurt by their growing love. I loved the journey that this story took me on. It was poignant, heartbreaking, heartwarming, funny and passionate. This emotional and sexy second chance romance is a beautiful story that will make you really feel everything and is storytelling at it's absolute finest.

18 months after her husband died, leaving her to pick up the pieces of her and her daughter's life, Hannah is finally at a point in her life that she can say she'll be ok. Then along comes her dead husband's twin brother, Wes. Talk about angst, these two are able to lean on each other like no one else, but what comes when it's no longer about grief, and more along the lines of a deeply passionate and intoxicating attraction? Wes and his brother were very close, but very different from the other, in all ways except looks. The grief that both Hannah and Wes feel brought tears to my eyes, and squeezed my heart so tight I felt I couldn't breathe at times. Can something magical happen out of something so horrific?
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a sucker for single-parent stories, the laughter and innocence the child brings always puts a smile on my face. That being said, From This Moment is probably the best one I've read. I loved every single little thing about this book. From the tears, to the laughter, to the blush that was in my cheeks at times. It was heartbreaking, it was heart-warming, steamy, and simply sweet perfection.

When you read the blurb, the first thing that comes to mind is, "I know how this story will go". Don't do that. Don't think you'll know how the story will unfold, because you'll be wrong. By the end of the first chapter, I was reading the story with my heart in my throat. The words so infused with emotions that I read with tears pooling my eyes.
From This Moment is about loss, grief, hope, and conquering THIS MOMENT. Wes lost his brother, his friend. Hannah lost her husband, the father of her child. But here is the thing about loss, other things come out to the light. You find that what you once lost comes back stronger. That losing someone doesn't mean things you stop living.
I love, LOVE From This Moment. Melanie Harlow owns you from start to finish. Her characters are not only deep, they're sexy and captivating. Even with all the emotions flying between Wes and Hannah, the scenes were hot. You will cry, no question, but they will make you get a fan to cool off.
If you loved After We Fall then you will LOVE From This Moment. I highly recommend this book. A perfect standalone romance.

I am always drawn into Melanie Harlow’s books from the very first page, and this one is no exception. I felt every emotion, every high, every low with Hannah and Wes.
I loved Hannah and Abby, but I freaking ADORED Wes. I totally have a soft spot for shy hotties! Sebastian (Some Sort of Happy) is my favorite Harlow book boyfriend, but Wes is a close second!
This book had me crying, laughing and cringing (Evil Lenore).
Catching up with “old” characters was a bonus!
Those pep talks…OMG!! The pep talks from a certain character had me ugly crying.
Keep a box of tissues handy. I ended up with a pile of them on my bed by the time I finished this book. Emotional rollercoaster!
“Then let me love you the way I’ve always wanted to.”
“I didn’t want it. I wasn’t ready for it. But loves comes without warning.”
“We can’t just unlove each other, either.”
“I don’t care what anyone says. I’ve loved you since the day I met you, and I’ll love you until the day I die. And I will never, ever believe it was supposed to be any other way.”

“We can’t just unlove each other, either.”
“I don’t care what anyone says. I’ve loved you since the day I met you, and I’ll love you until the day I die. And I will never, ever believe it was supposed to be any other way.”

I'll start by saying, that Melanie Harlow has had my heart as a reader for a while now. I'm a Michigan girl, born and raised, and when I get to visit it in a book, and read about MSU, I'm a guaranteed addict and fan for life! But when I first read the blurb for this book, and I saw the premise, someone falling for their deceased husband's twin brother?! I wasn't totally sure. How is Melanie going to pull this one off?!
She hit this one out of the freaking park! It had sooo much emotion, depth, and seriously had me hooked from the get go. This sort of situation in a book cannot be easy to write about. Death, loss, heartache, a child losing a father. The way Melanie was able to portray emotion through the book had me crying and made me really want to climb into the book and make everything easier and better for everyone!
I was smitten with Wes from the get go. I was so bummed for him from the beginning, being a quiet guy cost him the girl of his dreams, to his TWIN BROTHER. Sigh. I don't want to talk too much more about this book. But seriously, just buy it. You will NOT be disappointed!

I really enjoyed this latest release from Melanie Harlow. It’s an interesting story. A widow, Hannah, having trouble overcoming the grief from her husband’s death is faced with having to interact with her husband’s identical twin brother.
Wes, the brother has been away on his work assignment and recently has returned to town to step in to take over the family practice after his father retires. Part of his reason for staying away is to avoid Hannah...the girl he’s been in love with since he met her in college.
I believe that the death of ones husband would be a terribly difficult thing to overcome. I believe that Melanie captured the struggle that Hannah faced with coming to terms about her relationship with Wes and what she wanted for her future.
I also believe that Hannah spent too much time worrying about what others would think about her relationship with Wes. I found that doubt and second guessing to be a tad annoying. But the reality is that I know people who are exactly that way so Melanie’s depiction was spot on.

I love Melanie Harlow's writing, always light, fluid and with beautiful stories, but in From This Moment she has brought a dramatic load so strong along with a sweet and simple love that until now I'm up in the air. I finished reading yesterday but I still feel the love of Wes and Hannah pulsing in my veins. So strong and pulsating. Deep in my soul.
Hannah is a widow who is trying to move on for the sake of her cute daughter Abby, but the reunion with Wes brings painful memories to her and she avoids that approach anyway.
Wes has returned from his work in Africa and is willing to help Hannah and Abby. Gradually, these two souls in mourning begin to feel more than a simple comfort with each other and love explodes. And it takes me together too with them.
I felt Hannah's doubts, insecurities, and yearnings, and I was very sorry for her and pray for her and Wes could have their happy forever.
I loved the cover and the scene that generates the title of the book.

From this moment was a touching story about dealing with loss and love. I really enjoyed this book and especially the writing. Melanie Harlow really drew me into Wes and Hannah's story. Wes is shy and was a bit of a pushover when it came to his brother, but he finally found his way and fought for what he deserved. My heart hurt for Hannah and how she struggled through the grief she was feeling. Though the way she always seemed to push Wes away became frustrating very quickly. She's a runner and always needed space every time things got a little difficult. I was glad when she finally put herself first instead of worrying about what other people thought. Little Abby was adorable and possibly one of my favorite parts of the book. Lenore however really irked me but Melanie Harlow did an awesome job writing her. Everything that came out of her mouth had me gritting my teeth. Overall, I thought this book was engaging from start to finish and I look forward to reading more from Melanie Harlow in the future.

This book should have come with a warning, one that cautioned readers about the possible need for tissues nearby. There was nothing easy about what both Hannah and Wes had to go through in order to get to their happily-ever-after. Yes, they do get there, but there were many hurdles that had to be overcome. Can you imagine the guilt that weighed down on them? Was Hannah being disloyal to her husband? Was Wes betraying his brother? And then there are the other people to take into consideration, namely, Hannah and Drew's daughter, Abby, and Wes and Drew's parents. I put myself in both Hannah's and Wes' shoes. Was it worth all that heartache to be with this person that you loved? And by God, the answer was pretty clear, although, let's be honest here--it takes a healthy dose of courage, fortitude, and patience to see a love like Hannah and Wes' through. Melanie Harlow has penned an addictively angsty but ultimately inspiring romance. From This Moment is a five-plus-star 2017 favorite. ♥

Oh this synopsis had me gasping--"Late husband's twin brother" --I wasn't sure how this story was going to play out, but I loved every page.
Hannah lost her husband, Drew, unexpectedly. She's been grieving and trying to maintain a normal life for her young daughter, Abby. So when her late husband twin brother is back in town, things get more complicated for her. Wes and Hannah are grieving the loss of a husband and brother. Together, they understand the loss, but spending time with each other just causes more confusion. And talk among family and the people are town!
I enjoyed reading Hannah's POV. You really could feel her grief through the pages and then watching her fall in love all over again. And Wes, couldn't have been more perfect. I think people have more than one great loves in a lifetime and it's exactly what happened with Hannah and Wes. Life threw them a curve ball and they faced it with each other--out of respect by all parties! Fantastic read!

"I knew the moment I saw you that you were the one....The one I’d always love. The one I’d always dream about. The one I’d always wish was mine.”
Swooooooonnnnnn!!!!!! Without a doubt, FROM THIS MOMENT is Melanie Harlow's best book EVER!!! I fell hopelessly in love with this beautifully written, forbidden love story that was intense, passionate and heartbreaking!!!
I have to admit that I was hesitant with the dead spouse back story, but Ms. Harlow did an outstanding job of focussing on the blossoming relationship between Wes and Hannah instead. I thought it was amazing the way she encompassed the different views of how people would react to Wes and Hannah's secret affair, from their immediate family to even the town gossips. I really felt my heart break into pieces for Hannah -not only for the loss of Drew, but her inner turmoil in dealing with her feelings for Wes, to her self doubt of not being enough for her precious daughter Abby, to her ongoing battle with her overbearing mother in law. I couldn't help but admire her for her strength, courage and resilience.
And Wes, oh my, he has easily made it to my list of favourite book boyfriends! He was PERFECT in every single way - his loyalty for stepping aside for Drew initially, to his patience with taking things slow with Hannah. But what did it for me was his love for Abby - my ovaries combusted whenever he was with her!!! I loved that the scenes with Wes and Hannah always burned with so much passion and longing, and even from the beginning, you could feel that their connection was intoxicating and soul deep.
Ms. Harlow is not only an expert at penning very HOT and sexy love scenes that left me panting, but she is also able to pull out all the FEELS from me! I laughed, I choked back tears and I swooned! Her addictive narrative had me glued to the pages and it was one of those books that I couldn't wait to get to the end, yet at the same time, I wanted to slow down and savour every single word with sheer delight! I couldn't wait for Wes and Hannah to find their much deserved HEA, and Ms. Harlow didn't disappoint with an ending that had me donning the goofiest lovesick grin with goosebumps and happy feels all over!!!!
