After reading thousands of books of every kind for the last 65 years - this one is a true keeper. Chip’s story, compassion and energy and his life wisdom is truly motivational and a must read - Loved the TV show and now I understand why the honesty and caring and artistry came across as real. - because it truly was. Thanks Chip and Joanna and the kids for being you - and - magnificent role models!

I received this book as a Christmas gift and really enjoyed it! I purchased a second copy and gave it to my dad as a birthday gift. I really enjoy the show Fixer Upper and Chip & Joanna and so I took a chance on the book. It was great! I laughed, I cried, I chicken-pot-pied. Strongly recommend!

I bought this on whim, expecting just some very light reading. It is a quick fun read but with some really really good advise even for an active 70 year old like me. I intend to purchase this book for each of my grandchildren for Christmas.

Very informative and enjoyable read about an entrepreneur in a medium market with a focus on the family first, business second. A true story about how you can accomplish your dreams without surrendering your values

This book was very inspirational, I loved it i hope he isn’t done writing. I admire both Chip and Jo on all that they have accomplished in loving their family and working their dreams and seeing them transpire, just their general love for humanity and their strong passion for God and doing His will for their lives Makes me want to strive harder to be a better person all the way around. Thank you both !

Bought this for my husband. I always watch fixer upper and all shows in HGTV but he really likes Chip, he likes his character and i thought he would enjoy reading it. And watching him reading and and laughing and asked him why? He said he can hear Chip talking while reading it. And he love it!

Because of becoming acquainted with the family on Fixer Upper, I was anxious to know more about their lives. Definitely was not disappointed, in fact I would say I truly admire their God given thoughts & talent.

This book is so entertaining and uplifting it should be a mandatory for all. Chip is in word exactly what you see in their show "Fixer Upper". It leaves you with the feeling anything is possible with good old hard work.

I am a fan of books written by successful people, about their life in general. I can relate to the real life experiences of Chip that taught him great real lessons. I too learn many lessons from very humble and simple experiences, not from reading a business how to book. Fun and adventurous read.

I don't know what I was originally expecting, but what kept me reading was the fact that this was written by an essentially normal, salt of the earth kind of person that knew that the secret to success was family. Not only in his family with Jo but also his Magnolia family and living by the Golden Rule. That seems more and more rare nowadays, so it makes you feel good to read his insights into life and business. Wish I could meet them personally to tell them face to face. What a privilege that would be.

I throughly enjoyed this authentic, down to earth book. Really made me think about how I want to spend the rest of my life. Completely agree with Chip’s view of the state our country is currently in. I hope he and Jo will be successful in building that bridge where we can all agree to disagree and begin communicating. Thanks Chip

Fixer Upper is my favorite show so I really enjoyed this book. The things they have accomplished and the amount of work they have done will make you tired. So glad they are putting their family first even though I will miss their show.

Slightly rough around the edges, Chip Gaines’ writing is as charming as he and his wife (Jo’s) show, Fixer Upper. In between short snippets from his life and times, and lessons learned, he occasionally delivers beautifully written prose and insightful life lessons.

Incredible book! I love this fresh look of following your instincts and taking action. Sitting on the fence post and analyzing, allowing fear to immobilize me kept from really moving forward on multiple occasions. I love the humble, powerful way Chip really invites us to take action and live our lives. Thank you Chip!
