Thank you Netgalley for the advance reader copy of this book.
This is my first book by this author. I own a copy of her first book, It’s Always The Husband but I haven’t read it yet.
I had really hard time connecting to these characters. I felt most sympathetic for Rose. I really didn’t care about the Donovan’s and I really hated Tracy.
I think the mystery aspect wasn’t very strong, Around chapter 11 it’s when I figured out who killed Bel. I read to about 41% then skimmed through the next 40% and then read the last 20%.
It just didn’t keep my interest, I was a bit bored and annoyed by how everyone mistreated and blamed Rose.
I wish I liked it more but it just didn’t work for me. I wish the POVs were separated in a way of each chapter was someone’s point of view and it was titled that way. The epilogue was unnecessary. I don’t really understand why it was written.

While this was an entertaining read, it was just missing something. Maybe a big twist in the middle or the end?? The gist of the story was quite predictable, but Campbell did keep me reading the pages to find out just what happened to Bel, or was it Rose?? With twins, a boarding school and dark secrets, this book read more like a YA novel, not the psychological suspense I was hoping for. Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and St Martin’s Press for the ARC. I hate to say it, but I did not enjoy this book. I was so looking forward to it and was beyond thrilled to have received it before the publication date, but it was a let down for me. Though, this could be someone else’s cup of tea: It was a fast read, I read it in about 4 hours, and it wasn’t horribly written, but the dialogue and characters really missed the mark for me. I couldn’t connect, and maybe it’s because the narrators were young teenagers, and I am nearing 30, but I honestly couldn’t find it in myself to care about their trials and tribulations. I would only recommend this book if you find joy in young adult narrators going to a boarding school, otherwise on to the next.

This one really kept me on my toes! Just when I think I figured out the who-dun-it, I was second guessing. In the end, I did figure it out, but not before going round and round in my head! This is the first novel that I've read by the author and look forward to reading more of her work.

I’ll be reading more from this author. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. Twin sister sent off to an upscale private boarding school after traumatic events in their young lives. No one would ever expect the things that went on in this school among mostly privileged children. You will read with horror the things they went through.

Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for this ACR book.

I throughly enjoyed reading this book from start to finish. It had a bit of it all. Sisters who are at odds with each other, students who are sneaky and up to no good in my opinion and the teacher who uses the young girls.

A must read. I loved it.

Mysterious title and I was intrigued by that. Who was the quiet one? I enjoyed the boarding school drama and was pulled in by all of the secrets. I could see this book being made into a movie. Thanks to St. Martin’s Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

For twins Rose and Bel, enrolling in a prestigious boarding school comes with mixed feelings. The twins are as different as night and day and as the days pass this becomes even more evident. Twists and turns will have you turning the pages. It's a book you will find hard to put down. Highly recommend!

Very, very suspenseful novel set in a posh school. The book is full of plot twists and characters who are not what they seem. Quite the page turner with a surprise ending. Disclosure -- I received an advanced reader's copy of the book.
