Useful format, and descriptions of what to do and what not to do. Ends a lot of confusion and offers resources for food sources, even if you don't live somewhere where excellent organic food is available.

Just like my headline says, it is very informative and I learned a lot. Some I already knew like grass fed butter and ghee, coconut oil, and avocado oils being better for you. Other things, about the mercury content in different fish was definitely an eye opener.

It gives some good recipes in the back as well. I’m considering getting the 10 day sugar detox book

Well researched, informative, and unbiased. It’s nice to see a foods evaluated without an ideological agenda. Mark evaluates foods based on their impact on health, while also discussing ethical and environmental concerns, many of which I was completely unaware. Easily digestible.

You know when you read this that it’s absolutely true and I think everyone can at least improve what they eat or don’t eat really to whatever degree is important to them. It is easy to understand and most people know how bad processed food is and can do something about it, even if it’s baby steps at first.

Excellent read!!! This is Dr. Hyman’s best book to date. Well written, organized and documented. I have been following the pegan diet for over 2 years. It works! You’ll be amazed how much better you feel. This is an excellent book to begin with if you are just starting out on your food journey and want to turn your health around.

It is a helpful resource to take some confusion out of the decisions I have to make every day as to what to eat. I trust Dr. Hyman and want to heal my thyroid. Thank you Dr. Hyman for a common sense fact filled resource. I am just beginning to dig into it, but know I will use this book for reference for years to come.

A highly science-backed book that is easy to read and understand. Adding as much of Dr. Hyman’s advice to your diet as you can, has to improve your health. After my initial read, I am going back to each chapter’s summary pages as a great reference source.

Dr. Hyman highlights all the fallacies that the Gov't entities would have us believe if followed what they consider a "Healthy Diet." It is great to know that those findings have been misrepresented and instead draws attention to the realities of what individuals SHOULD eat.

Because so much has been brain-washed into the consumer's minds with false beliefs, manufacturers have subsequently created "Fake Food" that has become the streamlined offering. Dr. Hyman's book is a breath of fresh air that provides both a guide of what NOT to eat and alternatively what TO eat (with tips/ideas/suggestions/and recipes for the EVERY day consumer).

A great Read

WOW, this book is exactly what I was looking for. There is so much conflicting info out there and online. I trust the information in this book and can now feel confident about my food choices for myself and my family. We are now doing everything possible in 2018 that we can to eat healthfully.

This book made me think about what the heck should I eat. It made me realise that everything that I thought to be true about low fat food was a lie. I feel like I’ve missed out on eating food that taste great using good olive oil and butter. What I got out of reading this book was how to make eating easy and once you understand the concept it’s actually not that complicated. Happy life

Outstanding book and mission. Need to go head to head or at least address the many physician's/cardiologists citing research on low fat, no animal product diets that sounds convincing also. It gets confusing knowing who or what to believe but Dr. Hyman is a go to for credible information.

Good advice for eating healthy foods, but a bit repetitious. Good suggestions for balancing food groups and avoiding processed or non-naturally raised meats and produce, but could have been written in half the page count.
