Cookbook is excellent. If you are trying to become aware of eating healthy sugar free and carbohydrate free lifestyle then this is a great choice. Keep in mind this is not a 10 day detox this book is designed for post detox which is a different book. This is definitely more of a lifestyle book and I would highly recommend it if you are ready to be healthy and change the way you look at food.

After trying many weight reduction strategies, I found this to be the most successful by far. I do not have any hunger pains or cravings. I enjoy the smoothies in the morning and lost 17 pounds. One has to be willing to focus on this regimen, but I was so grateful to be eating healthy and having no cravings that it was a pleasure to stay on this diet.

I ordered this book based on a previous review that said that there were good options for vegetarians, and I was hoping that I could make the recipes work as a vegan. I think it's a solid program and I did try two of the side dish recipes, which were really good -- and so I'm giving this book four stars. However, there is no real way to make this program work for vegans since Dr. Hyman wants you to avoid beans and legumes, and I wanted to give my fellow plant-based eaters a head's up so that, like me, you don't order it thinking that you will be able to make it work.

In the book, it says that there are resources on the book's website for vegetarians and vegans, but I can't find them.

One thing that has been really annoying is that the company received my email through the store, and has been sending me daily marketing emails, pushing me to order their costly supplements. Throughout the book, Hyman also touts the various companies (such as Thrive Market and a food-delivery company) that he's affiliated with, and this kind of promotion just doesn't sit well with me.

So far every recipe I gave tried is delicious, filling and healthy! Exactly the goal when trying to change your lifestyle. Times to prep and cook each recipe are also given for those of us who sometimes need to prepare a meal quickly but want a better choice than we used to turn to when stressed.

So many great recipes! I purchased this along with the Dr. Hyman's Ten Day Detox Diet book. I really enjoy cooking and this gives me tons
more options. I am almost finished the actual 10 Day Detox and after the strict detox part is over I plan to reference this cookbook to
continue staying off sugar, gluten, etc. It will be a much-used reference and inspiration book.

I'm anxious to start trying some of the delicious recipes. I've not been much of a cook during my 35 years of marriage (thankfully I have a husband who loves to cook), but I started the 10 Day Detox diet on January 1 and started cooking daily. It does take some time to think about how to cook a wholesome, nutritious meal rather than reach for something easy, quick and most likely full of unhealthy ingredients. Since January 1 I've lost 11 pounds. That's not a lot of weight, but I have hypothyroidism and my doctor said it's actually wonderful weight loss for my body chemistry. I've also dropped about 10 points in blood pressure, and I've seen HUGE improvement in eczema.

So I bought the cookbook for further inspiration to continue my change in eating habits- and the book is indeed inspirational. As I said, it takes an investment in time, an investment in quality ingredients, and an investment in supplements. (By the way, I don't buy my supplements from Dr. Hyman, but I certainly respect his opinions and follow his suggestions. He said plainly in his book that you're welcomed to purchase these supplements anywhere). So I don't spend money at the spa - I spend it at the grocery store buying the best quality food I can afford because I'm able and I'm willing to make the investment in myself. Thanks Dr. Hyman for writing this book and encouraging us to be as healthy as we can be. It's a wonder what you're body can do to fix ailments if you it nourish properly!
