Tiago “Kettle” Spada is a firefighter on the Benton Fire Department where his best friend of 10 years, Sebastian, is his boss. He is also a member of the Dixie Wardens MC alongside Sebastian. He took the attack on Sebastian personally and threw himself into nothing but work at the fire station, his MC, the Dixie Wardens and protecting the people that he loves & considers family. It isn’t until Sebastian is happily married with a new baby that Kettle realizes that life is passing him by and he is missing out and if he doesn’t want to end up alone, he’s going to have to make some changes in his life.

Adeline Sheffield is a high school chemistry teacher in Benton, Louisiana. She always happens to notice an extremely hot guy who runs around the apartment complex and parking lot, so she takes the time to enjoy the view. She finally gets to meet the hot man when he comes to her apartment on a possible fire call. Eventually the two start up a friendship and some type of non-relationship relationship that eventually turns into more and an actual relationship.

Addy has a twin sister, Viddy, who happens to be blind, and while it is a sucky situation, she chooses to laugh and enjoy life instead of being depressed, upset and terrified of being blind. The story of how she loses her eyesight is somewhat comical because you can just picture the two young girls, but it was dangerous & both are lucky to be alive.

While in this book there isn’t any drama in either Addy’s or Kettle’s jobs, there is plenty of drama in their personal lives, from siblings to ex-lovers to family members and some unsavory people who are definitely trouble. We learn of both Addy’s family background and current family situation and we also learn of Kettle’s family past which has created a clusterf*ck of a situation. We also get to know a couple of the MC members a little better, namely Trance, who has the two differently colored eyes and Loki who has a facial scar. We don’t learn about their backgrounds but we do learn about their current lives.

I got quite a chuckle from Kettle going through sympathy feelings. I’m also glad that we got to see a little more of both Johnny and Blaise! Kids say and do the darndest things!

I can’t wait for the next book, nor do I have any idea whose it may be. But I’m really hoping that it will be Trance and Viddy’s book or Loki’s book. Both possibilities are there, so I’ll just have to wait and see.

In this second book in The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC, Ms. Vale unveils two more of her amazing characters. In book two you meet an eccentric school teacher and her moody alpha firefighter. When our two main characters meet the saying where there is smoke there is fire is total fact!

Save a fire truck…ride a fireman!

As a school teacher there are certain standards that you are supposed to up hold. Setting a good example is one of those standards. However, Adeline has a secret and she keeps them in her apartment! So when she smells smoke coming from her bathroom, she panics like any good thief but still calls for help. The help that arrives is a huge, hunky fireman that lights a fire inside Adeline. Now what is a quirky teacher going to do with him? Get him to put out that fire anyway she can! It doesn’t take Adeline long to discover that her ‘fireman’ is her hot neighbor. The same hottie she had been drooling over as he jogged by her apartment complex each day. Life is full of unexpected pleasures and also unexpected dangers!

My girlfriend is an awesome HOT teacher! She puts the HOT in psychotic!

The moment he laid eyes on Adeline he was caught! It didn’t matter that she owned a Boa Constrictor or she seemed a little strange. She was his to protect, his to care for and just his. Now all he has to do is convince her that she belonged to him. Kettle has secrets that he keeps hidden for everyone, including his MC Brothers. Secrets that haunt him and have kept his heart encased in ice. As the club’s enforcer he has sworn his loyalty to his brothers and that loyalty will be called on to help him save Adeline and himself. Will he be able to keep Adeline safe? Can he put his haunted past behind him and find a future with her? All of this and more can be found in the remarkable book!

Would I recommend this book: Yes! Hot, sexy alpha male meets woman with needs! This is a story that sizzles with sexual tension and suspense between the main characters.

Would I recommend this author: Yes! My hat is off to this incredible author that continues to grab my imagination with her extraordinary characters and gripping stories. She is on my must read list and should be on yours!

Another sexy funny and emotional romance from my new favorite Lani Lynn Vale. Oh boy, this series has really sucked me in. I'm afraid I won't be able to do long reviews for each installment only because I need to jump into the next one. I loved Kettle...he can blow his top around me anytime. This girl can write. I am so addicted to these characters. I feel like I know these people. Kettle was so full of life..energy. ..just so freaking vibrant. I loved Adeline for him. Kettle was like a force of nature with how he could be the calm of the storm then erupt like a Volcano. Adeline was the perfect balance to his overwhelming electric personality. I really adored these two. But more than that I loved the way Lani built a family for ever character in this bunch of bikers, firefighters and paramedics. There was a lot of suspense which kept me guessing. Heart breaking secrets of the past.. I was devastated over things that Kettle suffered through. A love so deep and strong rose from the ashes of his heart to burn bright and forever.. Adeline gave him back his hope. Lani.. I'm truly so happy to have found your amazing imagination.

Book 2 In the MC series

This is Kettle and Adeline’s story which was a great story.

Kettle aka Tiago part of the MC also a sexy as hell firefighter with a beautiful 6 pack to die for and was also in the military.

Kettle comes from money not that you would know he was kicked out at a young age for knocking up his girlfriend, so with that he left and enlisted in the military whilst his girlfriend stayed with friends. When he was in the military his girlfriend had their baby, a little girl but his girlfriend had moved on and found a new boyfriend. 4 weeks after his daughter was born he received word that his daughter had been murdered......

Skipping a few years later.......

Adeline has moved to the small town with her sister after her parents had died leaving nothing back at their home for them so they started over Addy got a job at the local high school and was a science teacher, she was very close with her sister Viddy who was blind due to an accident her and Viddy had when they were younger.

Addy meets Kettle and there is that instant spark but little did they know that danger lurked around every corner.

Can Addy and Kettle overcome their obstacles and stay alive and overcome the danger?

Will they survive long enough for their happy ever?

There were so many twists and turns in this book we actually liked it more than the 1st, there were kidnappings, murders, drug explosion and deaths.

“You’re the Halligan to my axe. I’d never give up on you.”

Well done Lani on another good read.

I was a little apprehensive about starting this book, I didn't know how to take Kettle in the previous book so I wasn't sure if I would like this one.

I have to say though I loved Kettle's story, it has been my favourite.

Kettle has lost so much in his life so far and my heart broke for him, I was devastated reading parts of this story especially the letter scene. How Kettle survived all he did is beyond me and I was in awe of his character.

I really liked Adeline from the very beginning, I loved the way she described everything to her sister so she wouldn't feel left out. She showed how big her heart was repeatedly and you just can't help liking her. The relationship she had with Viddy was hilarious and at times I was doubled over laughing.

This story was so heartbreaking at times it had me in tears and yes it was the ugly crying state!!! There was also so much in this book that kept me highly entertained. I really can't wait to see what comes next from this brilliant group of characters.

For Kettle, the life of a fire fighter and patched member of the Dixie Wardens MC has always held excitement, danger, brotherhood and a bevy of women at his beck and call. He never thought he'd want to be a one woman man until he hops out of his rig as a first responder and sees the woman who would consume his thoughts and his heart. When Adeline's brother ransacks her apartment and ends up taking money from both her and their blind sister, Viddy, Kettle can't help but think there's danger lurking in the shadows for Addy. Now that Kettle has found the Halligan to his Axe, he'll stop at nothing to keep her.

I really, REALLY liked this book. Let's count it off, this book has: a MC, fire fighters, policemen, plenty of steamy bedroom scenes. That alone was enough to make me want to pick up this book. I've read enough MC books to appreciate the fact that while Addy and Viddy have history with another MC, they're not against them, but they're not groupies either. I found Kettle to have a great balance of alpha and sensitivity (rare, right?), while Addy is a strong, charasmatic and funny female lead. While we see the strength of the Dixie Wardens brotherhood on more than one occassion, we also see a great relationship between Addy and Viddy. Halligan to my Axe is book 2 to the Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC and I can't wait to pick up book 1!!! This one is a 4 1/2 flaming stars!!!

Whew I liked this one even more than Seb and Baylee's story. Loved loved loved me some Kettle and Adeline!! So good.

This series will always suck me in and I'm ok with that. With characters like Adeline and Kettle who wouldn't want to be absorbed in this world?

A slow burner, not the story but the relationship. When you observe a man from a distance then get to meet him and become friends that to me is a great romance story. This book has that. Again firefighters and bikers two hot genres melding together what is not to love. One thing i have an issue with is the name Kettle i just found that dimmed his hotness a few degrees but it was redeemed by the six pack and great story. PS Kettle is not his real name do not panic

This story was awesome. I loved the addition of the twins, Addy and Viddy. Their relationship is loving, but they are also jokers. Kettle has such a tragic past that it made me happy to see him find his "one" in Addy. He needed some fun in his life. I thought this was well written and glad it kept some of the older characters. This had more of the caveman love aspect that I absolutely love in an MC story. Looking forward to the next one!

Another awesome story in this series! Kettle and Addy are amazing together and the MC family along with the fire fighter family are so awesome! Kettle is strong, sexy and a fire fighter that makes you sworn! Addy is a spit fire and she is so cool! Together they make this story worth reading!

Lani Lynn does it again!! Her books just get better and better. I can't express enough how wonderfully she puts her characters together. She is one of the best authors at creating funny, funny heroines (I'm talking LOL till you cry funny) and HOT alpha Hero's. To top that off, the chemistry between the two are smokin' HAWT!!! Once again if your like me and love sizzlin' hot romance with lot's of humor and great suspense, you will not go wrong with ANY of Lani Lynn Vales books. If you have not read any of her books you can read each as a stand alone, but she does something else I love, she brings characters that I love from previous books into her new books. So MY recommendation if you are new to Lani is to start with the Freebird series (which is also awesome). The Dixie Wardens MC series is a spinoff of The Freebird series. 5 STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH!!
