W.E.B. Griffin & William E. Butterworth gave written another great story about the OSS & DCI at the end of WWII. Well written, suspenseful, funny& a store that brings your emotions to the forefront at the end. Don't miss out on reading it!

Griffin continues to wear the reader out with a key but implausible character that detracts from what could otherwise be a great story. With this central character, the story loses its authenticity.
Don't be in a rush to purchase the book. Wait until it comes to your local library.

a typical Griffin book, especially now that they're being written by his son, William Butterworth...whole lot of chatter which is there only to perpetuate the series...none of the Griffin books match the original Brotherhood of War series...
and Other Appreciations - Great Fights :: What Do You Do When God Doesn't Show Up the Way You Thought He Would? :: Hallelujah Anyway: Rediscovering Mercy :: Summer Reign: A novel of the Demon Accords :: Reawakened (The Reawakened Series)

Typical Griffin with character relationships that are so far from reality that they are virtually impossible. It is hard to imagine a German General in captivity that is still able to arrange assassinations of the bad guys who happen to be US Army officers. Still a good read but not his best work.

Griffin and Butterworth continue the series mixing fact with fiction on the workings of a super-secret spy story and the attempt by a very young, inexperienced officer to handle his duty and at the same time prevent the meddling of more senior officers who do not have "the need to know".
