The chemistry between Lane and Kat was amazing. Enjoyed the book but wanted and needed more instantly upon finishing it. It's crazy how you think you know these characters and imagine who should play them in the movies...lol. Thanks Adriane Leigh. I loved this.

This was a very good book. I also liked the fact that at least these 2 people were in their 30's. I really get tired of reading about teenagers. I mean really think about it, who do you think reads the most book? Teenagers or young to middle age adults. Exactly.

I loved this book. I loved Wild and his dirty mouth. I am never disappointed when I read books by Adriana Leigh. There is never a lack of passion, suspense, sexiness and wild sex scenes :) in her books. She writes the best epilogues. I never feel like I'm left hanging at the end of her books. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes books like I have described above. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Could not put this book down! Adriane has done it yet again, she knows how to captivate an audience and keep them hooked! This story had every great component of a steamy, tumultuous , hot, sexy, dramatic, nail-biting, heart-stopping, and surprising romance. From start to finish this book had me captivated and I became emotionally attached to the characters and their story.

You can't get much hotter than this! Loved it!

Wild is one of the hottest, steamiest, shmexy books of 2013 and Lane Wild is one of my all-time sexiest, favorite book boyfriends of ALL TIME. There I said it …ALL TIME. Quite the challenge, I know!

The story of Kat and Wild starts off like many other couples/stories in our favorite books but something about them is different. From the moment Kat and Lane/Wild are together in a scene the electricity buzzes off the page, they have undeniable chemistry, even though Kat refuses to acknowledge the buzz. Both are caught off guard by the unfamiliar feelings that arise within themselves. I’ve got to say, I am a sucker for the “claim him/her” scene and this book did not disappoint. SQUEEEE!! Individually each character is strong and a person I would love to know (especially Wild). They are hot and sexy without each other, bring them together and it had to be explosive. During all of this TNT enforced chemistry a brilliant story of love, betrayal, and loyalty emerges.

It not only his piercing blue eyes, dark hair, or perfect muscular body (they don’t hurt) it’s how he loves or in other words “makes love”. 110% raw, unfiltered, and all in, he savors and adores a woman’s body. Gahhhhh what woman wouldn't want that? His one word or simple practical answers are insightful and blatant…and most of the time hot (very hot). He is what he is and he whole-heartedly owns it in fact he is proud if not a bit cocky about it. The fact that he immediately gets down to business or is ALWAYS READY to get down to business is only an added bonus (did I mention hot?). “Don’t make me repeat it” he growled. OMG! What you see is what you get of Wild-yes please. The thread of what her cussing does to him?? He calls it dirty talk and let me tell you I was cussing like a sailor hoping for the same results. There isn't any hidden flaw or secret about him but yet you’re still drawn to all that is Wild. He does however have a past, one he holds close to his chest yet he is able to give bits and pieces to Kat along the way which even shocks him. These facts just make him even more enduring (and hot).

Can I just say I want to go to this freaking bar, where is it? The action that occurs there is sizzling. OK at first during the pool scene I was like no way but then I felt the “need” build up in Kat. Totally shocked by what happened next in the hallway but was so hot I.LOVED.EVERY.MINUTE.OF.IT. The element of surprise did it for me.

The restaurant scene was probably one of my faves, not only does Wild….hmmm can’t tell, but the smirk! Sweet Jesus!

The next pivotal (in so many ways) bar scene..oh no he didn't and yes they did…I was besides myself and again shocked but loveeeeed it!
The scene where Wild and Kat are walking down the street and see Mia and Ridge being told from Kat’s POV was perfect. At first I thought why is this being told from her POV? After reading it realized there was no better way to tell it. Both Kat and Wild had a realization of some sort but Wild’s was palpable and more than one.

Last one I promise, the couch scene…just saying who doesn’t love one of those scenes? Good Gawd!!

All of the supporting characters are intriguing and or enduring. Some more than others like Ridge and Slade. I want to know more about Ridge and Mia or Amy and what happened. Or if Slade stuck around for Dillon? Or moved on to someone else? I kind of want Mia to get what’s coming to her.

There are two stories here, the story of Kat and Lane and another...which I can’t tell. You’ll have to read the book to find out. The story unfolds perfectly page by page with hints that effectively set the pace and climax of the story. A couple of unpredictable twists occur or what the reader thinks is a twist but it really isn't! The story starts off with and captures the feelings of having someone new in your bed. You know, the feeling you can’t get enough of each other but are going to act like you don’t like or need each other? This means lots of hot, angsty, wild (hmmm) sex. This is one of those books you’ll want to read in one sitting however it’s highly doubtful that you will be able to. ; )

The opening scene when Kat is flashing back to what transpired the night before had me hook line and sinker. My mouth dry and hung open and I couldn’t read fast enough. I love her thoughts of herself when looking in the mirror, the moment captured perfectly. This was our first insight into Kat. I love when an author lets us see the flawed side of a character, it’s telling and intimate, and the reader is able to identify with the character making a connection. This was accomplished early on, during the prologue, which at times takes an entire book to conquer. From this moment on I loved getting to know Kat either from her POV or Wild’s POV. She is fiercely independent, strong, confident, courageous, and sarcastic with a tone of bitter regardless or because of her past. We know by her interactions and thoughts something has happened to bring her to this small town in Maine but what?

Did we all read the same book? This was one of the worst books I've ever read!! It was poorly written and was basically 95% repetitious smut.......not even good erotica. The "plot" (and I hesitate to call it that) finally rears it's head near the end of the book.....as though it's an afterthought. What a departure from Adriane's "The Mourning After". I cannot believe that anyone who enjoys this genre would say they loved this book.....makes me question the ratings. Really not worth your time or money.

I gave Wild 3.5 stars.

Now the hot model on the cover and the synopsis were two very attractive elements that drew my attention to Wild. One Wild night with that guy? Yeah I wanted to find out more!

Wild starts off the way it means to go on. Lane Wild or just "Wild" as he is known, is a very dirty talker and he sets his sights on the new girl. One night of hot passion follows and no names are exchanged, of course living in a small boating town it is only a matter of time before Wild and Kat bump into each other. And both can't deny they want more than one night.

That is pretty much the bulk of the book; lots of sex, Wild and Kat certainly have a healthy appetite. Now don't get me wrong, I love a bit of steam as much of the next girl, but I like it balanced with rich characterisation and good plot points. Even though Kat and Wild let their guards down and admit they both wanted more, I felt we missed their relationship developing as they were forever at it! There was also a weird instance in the hallway with a girl called Dillion that finished before it really started so I felt the desired affect was lost there.

As Wild and Kat started opening up towards the end, we got glimpses into their character and we got to see why they were so closed off from the world. Wild was a cocky guy with a filthy mouth but I loved his protective side especially when it came to Kat. Kat was hiding something big, although that made her vulnerable, every other aspect of her character was feisty and I really liked that about her. I liked that she was strong enough to stand up to Wild and take charge when she needed to.

I had in my mind that Wild was a New Adult book, so I really should pay attention to detail. As the story started out, it was set up like a typical NA story; player has been hurt in the past so he doesn't do relationships just plenty of one night stands with no repeats, that is until one girl changes it all. Then said girl is running from something so she ends up in the middle of nowhere vowing not to create attachments to anyone but of course meets the hunky player and all that changes. It wasn't until the action kicked in at the end when the heavy themes involved that took it to the adult level. So although the plot was predictable, I liked the characters enough that I was rooting for all to end well. The book is classed as erotic romance, if this usually deters you I wouldn't let it in this case. Yes the sex was plentiful but it wasn't what I would class as erotica, it was more quantity than quality.

All the drama happened in the last 25% and I wish some of the events were further developed as I felt some parts were rushed and it could have had a bigger impact if given more time. When Kat's past caught up with her the story was engrossing and I felt the suspense as I was worried what was going to happen next. There were even a few little surprises thrown that worked well.

This was my first book by Adriane Leigh, it was an easy read with endearing characters, I did feel at times some phrases were used repetitively but other than that, the writing flowed well. We were introduced to Ridge (Lane's brother) and he is shrouded in mystery so his story will make for an interesting read.

Wild is an easy, quick read. If you love smooth dirty talkers, a strong heroine with lots of sex and a little drama thrown in then you will love Wild and you need to grab it today! ~Ava

So, I made it to 32% and I couldn't read any further. That's very rare for me, but this book dragged. I have a few issues- there was no conflict up until this point. I have NO idea what the goal is for either Lane or Kat. What are they working towards? What do they want to achieve? Besides orgasms I mean. She's bipolar at best, waffling between being disgusted by him and being flat on her back for him. And honestly, I get it...she thinks he's hot...is it completely necessary to give us a completely physical description every other page? That's immature writing to me. There were also POV issues here. The person narrating shouldn't be able to tell if his eyes were dancing with amusement or if his smile looked flirty. The only things the character should talk about are things they can see or feel. Unless he's some superhero who can see his own eyes or smile, this is impossible. I'm giving it two stars because I think she has the potential to write much better than this, that much was clear to me in the small portion I did read. And I wish she would keep in mind that having well written sex scenes are all fine and good, but there HAS to be a plot to back it up, otherwise they will fall flat. That's what it did for me. Show us more plot up front, a discriminating reader needs more than interlocking body parts.

Wild is book #1 in the Wild Series and the first book I have read by this author.

Wild, Wild, Wild I think this word has a whole new definition in my dictionary from now on. Wild is pretty much my perfect guy, he’s alpha enough to make me all tingly but deep down he’s a big old pussy cat that absolutely adores Kat. See what I mean perfect!!!

I really enjoyed this book I wasn’t expecting it to be as kinky as it was and the sex was incredibly hot!

I like Kat; I wasn’t massively surprised by what happened at the end. I love that as a character she surprised me, she had a back bone and she wasn’t the standard beaten down victim. I also loved how much she swore and how dirty she was.

Kat and Lane have this really obvious chemistry, there was no beating around the bush they were attracted to each other and they did something about it. I loved the sexy, flirty banter they had and how sweet they were with each other when they weren’t screwing each other’s brains out.

I’m not sure how I feel about Ridge, I kind of feel like he’s a bit of a dog for stealing Lanes fiancée but if he’s anything like his brother I feel like I may end up liking him a lot (wink wink).

This book was filthy and chocked pack full of sex I liked it a lot lol

Wild gets 4 stars from me.

I can't believe I'm saying this but this had A LOT of sex!
And so you might be saying: So, what's the problem? IMO, sex has it's place in a book and in fact, it's not always needed as some of my ultimate faves leave everything to the imagination. The thing is, when there's no story just sex - it gets tired real fast. So I must admit that after a while I was skimming the sex scenes as it was too much of "been there done that."
Having said that, Lane Wild and Kat Kennedy were hot together and the chemistry was palpable and yes, Lane was sexy! Lane was one Alpha that I'd like to go a few rounds with. He was super hot, could be an arrogant, cocky, jerk but also was loving and caring.
I was pleasantly surprised around the 65-70% mark when the story actually picked up with the last third of this story being fantastic. I'm glad I stuck it out because all in all, it was enjoyable. I'll be reading Ridge's book soon.

The blurb covers the basics of what the story is about, so I'm not going to add to that.

I enjoyed the story. I thought Kat and Lane were amazing characters and their stories were intriguing which helped to keep me interested. They shared an explosive chemistry that could not be denied, even when they both tried to tame it. It was a treat to see how even though neither of them wanted a relationship with the other they shared about their lives to each other.

Their emotions ran all over the place and they centered mainly on denial and lust. They refused to admit that they had more than a 'friends with benefits' arrangement and their lust for each other triumphed amongst all other emotions. I enjoyed the first couple of times they were together - it was HOT! I loved Lane's dirty talk and how Kat let go of her inhibitions with Lane. But like everything in excessive amounts, it came to be too much.

Yes, I 'm complaining about too much sex. It came to a point where I just wanted more of the connection less of the attraction. They did share a couple of touching moments but they were few and far between and not nearly enough for me to invest myself in their relationship. I wanted to see their connection develop outside the bedroom and although I understood that Kat was keeping a big secret, which prevented her from sharing too much, I believe there could have been another way to deepen their connection than with sex.

But I kept on because, as I said before, their story intrigued me and I wanted to know how it all played out. My saving grace came in the last couple of chapters where everything unraveled and I got to know Kat's story. It did help answer some questions, but it was too little too late for me to achieve a connection to her other than the one I had already formed.

All in all, a good story.

I have so many books in my Kindle that I know that I have missed out on some gems. I have. And I did this time too. I LOVED WILD! This is just an amazing story. Wild is a dirty talking piece of absolute yumminess who meets his match in Kat. She turns his world out and he's never the same. Kat comes with her own dark history that comes back to haunt her when she had finally found some measure of peace. Kat and Wild are so explosive together. The sex scenes sent sparks from my eReader and made me glad that I was reading at home and not at the office, I mean how much work would I get done wondering what Wild was doing next?

The ending was sweet and made me sigh. I'm excited to read Ridge's book and see how the relationship between Wild and Ridge moves beyond the betrayal.

This will teach me to actually look at what awesomeness I have before I one click... great book. And here I thought that Tristan was amazing.... Oh, Lane. What a wild boy you are!

Where did this book come from and why did I not know about it sooner?! You know that little tingling you get a couple pages in, when you just know a book’s going to be good? Yeah, that’s what happened when I started reading Wild by Adriane Leigh. This book was like magic. It was hot, playful, sexy, demanding, mysterious, thrilling, and put butterflies in my stomach all at once. It was the best Christmas present I got this year.

Wild flips between Kat and Lane’s point of view. The author did this brilliantly, as soon as your wondering what the other character is thinking *bam* she flips to their point of view. It’s like she could read my mind. Oh man, and those characters . . . perfection. Wild, aka Lane, was a blend of dominant sexual dynamo and surprisingly sweet boyfriend material. One day he was hot headed and jealous, the next day he was aching to hold hands and cuddle in bed. Lane Wild just might be the perfect man.

But don’t forget about Kat. This little lady was a powerhouse. She was a fierce, independent woman but also knew how to play submissive. Lane and Kat fit together so well it was like they were made for each other. I usually hate when characters instantly connect, but Kat and Lane’s quick connection made sense. It didn’t detract from the storyline at all. If anything it fuelled the heat between them and made the suspense all the more real.

Of course this connection led to some fan-freaking-tastic sex and lots of it. Sometimes an author overdoes the sexual exploits and you find yourself skimming through the same sex scenes over and over. Not with Wild, each scene was different. Not only in the physical sense but also emotionally. Whether in bed, sweet and slow or bent over the couch with a bite of submission, each sexual moment was its own story. Each time strategically thought out to capture our attention. This book could be a how-to guide of writing sex in romance novels.

So awesome characters, fantastic sex, end of book, right? Nope. Did I not mention this book also has a bit of a mystery? Dare I say it’s a little . . . thrilling? That’s right, on top of all the other amazingness, this book actually has a story with an interesting storyline. I’m not going to lie, some romance novels use the storyline to just introduce more sex and cheap emotions, but Wild holds an actual story.

So Wild . . . my thoughts? Amazing, seriously an awesome book. Oh, and just a heads up Adriane Leigh, if we ever meet I’m giving you a big ole’ kiss because . . . damn, anyone who writes like you and creates a character like Lane Wild? Yeah, I so need to get in on that action. ;)

I can’t wait to get more of Leigh’s writing in the upcoming Ridge (Wild #2) and Slade (Wild #3). Hooray for fantastic books!

I received an ARC for an honest review and get ready for this amazing WILD ride!!!!

What can I say and where do I begin but by saying this O.M.G. this book is so damn unbelievable. And Adriane Leigh has given me a whole new BOOKBOYFRIEND to add to my list next to Carter and Tristan. If you have not as of yet met this men let me tell you that after reading WILD go and read her other books the Steel and Lace books (Carter) and The Mourning After/ Light in Mourning(Tristan). Both guys are hot and amazing BBF's but Adriane totally went Wild in Wild(yes pun intended) and she nailed it big time.

Kat Kennedy has been in world of pain and fear and needed to escape the reality of the life that she was living, with the courage needed to leave she finds herself in a little town in Maine. And she couldn't be any happier since no one knew her she could pretty much create a whole new identity for herself. For the first time in her life she is in charge and in control of her life. But one night out at the local bar and she had no clue that that night would forever change her completely. And that she would experience the most Wildest night of her life(pun so intended here).

Wild Lane Wild(yes I know what I did here lol) is your average badboy who can sizzle the panties out of everyone (including a nun if thrown his way) with his damn yeah-I'm-hotter-than-the-sun smile (and let me tell you that every time in the book he smile I so thought he so was smiling at me). Has his own skeletons in his closet, but under all that sleeping around from chick to chick lies a guy with a heart of good. But not any female can see the real Lane Wild it would have to take someone damn special for that to ever happen, until his one hot and wild night with a fiery red head.

Lane is OMG one hell of an ALPHA-CAVEMAN at his best and let me tell you that not even his vulgar and dirty mouth managed to stop me from reading this book. He is blunt and straight-forward he doesn't do commitment but he cannot for the life of him stop and not want more with Kat, she feeds the appetite that he carves and needs with a woman just like he has ignited a spark in her. Kat has never met anyone like Lane and yes she wants him but she cannot afford to get close to him or vice versa. But the thing about them is that they both start to get under each others skin. What's the saying the more you fight it the more you want it.

The non-relationship that Lane and Kat embark on is the most sexually intensive relationship that either one of them have ever been on. Lane issues with trust and relationships is that he has been burned once and refuses to let that happen to him again, and Kat's issues is that she was hurt, lied to and lived in constant fear. But the beauty of Lane and Kat is that they bring out the best in each other and again their sex live is UNBELIEVABLE.

Can they over come the obstacles that they have in the lives to try and see what and where their non-relationship if that can blossom into something more?

I love this book completely and strongly recommend this book to all the alpha loving readers. I look forward to reading about Ridge Wild and Lane's bf Slade in the new year. Adriane Leigh and 2014 looks to be a promising year. If Wild was something gosh knows what we can expect with both these men.

My rating: 4.5 of 5 ⭐️

She finds a cottage by the water to rent and a part time job in the library, but Kat Kennedy is prepared to pack up and go if she needs to. She doesn't want to get too settled in and make friends, which is why she shouldn't have gone home with that dark, sinfully hot looking guy from the bar the other night. Especially since he now seems to pop up wherever she goes in town!! Not exactly conducive to the low profile she was intending to keep.

Lane Wild is highly amused by the feisty redhead who bristles everytime he bumps into her. Not that that is entirely by accident, his night with her was one that would be branded in his memory of ever. He wouldn't mind a repeat and if he wasn't mistaken, even though her mouth said no, her body wouldn't mind a do-over either. Relentless in his pursuit, he discovers that he actually enjoys talking with Kat, ok....mostly sparring, but still, spending time with her is fun. Not something he is used to, hanging out with a woman for anything other than sex,

Kat cannot keep the force that is Lane Wilde at a distance for long. He infiltrates every aspect of her new life, which to be honest, isn't that hard to do in a town this small. And truth be told, she doesn't mind him 'infiltrating' her from time to time at all. As long as he is clear she doesn't do relationships!! It seems that is a point they both agree on, for their own respective reasons, neither wish to discuss. Secrets have a way of surfacing, and when they do, they often catch you off guard and vulnerable....

*****

I need a shower...... No. An ice bath!! It's a stinkin' sauna in here, isn't it??

Not for the faint of heart! We are talking some serious kinky heat in this book, and if you are looking for some mildly erotic reading, this might just be a bit too much!! Me?? I don't mind it crass and a bit rough, as long as it is honest and consenting, I have no issues. And in this story, with two strong-willed and single-minded individuals, it fits!!

This is not just a seeeeriously hot book, there is also a good story line and a decent twist of suspense at the end. I loved the characters, the incredible quintessential bad boy 'Wild', who can charm the panties off old librarians by cocking her an innocent smile and at the same time spout the raunchiest lines in your ear that make you melt in a puddle at his feet. And Kat, who despite the fact that she has incurred a few knocks here and there, never loses the spark and the bite and goes at it like a tiny bull terrier poised for the fight.

A great pairing of characters, both with a hard armoured shell to protect a damaged core, claiming hard not to want, need, feel any desire for connection or a relationship, but both slowly cracking as the other burrows under their skin. The harder they yell it isn't going to happen, the further they fall. It is inevitable....... The bitching and bickering is highly entertaining, the juggle for dominance constant and the dirty talk with a cocky smile the most annoying and arousing thing.

I would have enjoyed a little bit more delving into the suspense aspect of the story. It came close to the end, was suddenly there and just as quickly over. Although no loose threads were left, I still feel more could have been done, more build up could have been worked into the story. But then, I do love my mysteries and so I figure if you are bringing suspense in, why not draw that benefit into the book a little further, it would not have taken much.

The story will undoubtedly get you emotionally involved one way or another, whether it be anger, disgust, provocation, frustration, sympathy, humour.....any or all, it'll get to you somehow and hook you in. Great job!! And sign me up for the next one!

✨A salty, fierce and salacious story of sanctuary.✨

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I gave this book 5 dirty stars.
This is the first book that I have read from this Author.

This is Kat and Wild's (Lane) story, this book starts off with a one night stand with lots of sex, and never stops with the hot sex.
It is steamy!!!!

Kat has just moved to this small fishing town in Maine, her attiude is just like her fiery red hair, she rents a small cabin on the out skirts of the town and gets a part time job at the library. All seems normal with her but Kat is hiding a big secret that when it comes out might destroy her and everyone else around her that is close. So for that she has up walls. She doesn't want to let anyone in.

Wild is a beautiful damaged soul too!! And he is the towns most popular man! Everyone wants a piece of him, but after he meets the beautiful Kat he only has eyes for one woman! And getting her to see that is going to be a job in itself!

With both of these two only looking for wild sex, and no commitments what is going to happen when they both start feeling more? Will they give in to the feelings or will the both continue to run from everything that could be just that everything they have always wanted?

I like this story it was full of steamy hotness, and bad attitudes that just kept them coming back and wanting more, Kat has a mouth on her that Wild just couldn't get enough of. You never knew what she was going to say, or what she was going to do. One minute she was content and then she would remember that she couldn't let anyone close and she would push him away. I love how I thought he would be the one to be running and it turned out that is was her. I love her strong character and how much she had been through. It was either get stronger or let it break you. And she put up walls and she is hard to get through to, but even through all that she is very strong and doesn't give up without a fight. She loves with her whole heart, and underneath all of the tough exterior she is sweet, and loving and amazing, she just needs someone that is willing to stick around and love her through all of it.

Thank you for this story Adriane I really enjoyed it and I look forward to reading the next book in the series! <3

She had fled her old home and went to Maine to start a new life, but Kat Kennedy had never thought she would come across one alpha male that might just change her life – Lane Wild.

Kat had enough troubles to last her a lifetime, she was running from them, and from secrets so dark she just want to be left alone. But when she gave in to her desire and the intense temptation one stranger had caused her – the last thing she expected was to see him again after an unforgettable one night stand. It was supposed to be just for one night – just to indulge into her desires, yet, it had left her wanting for more. He seems to show up wherever she is.

The sexual tension was so thick - I think my Kindle is going to blow up. I was wondering how strong Kat is to resist Lane Wild. He’s sexy as hell, he can tempt an angel, and he knows which buttons to push. HOW CAN SHE POSSIBLY RESIST HIM?! I know I can’t! I’m totally putty in his hands.

When she finally abandoned all her inhibitions and gave in to him and her desires & needs. He made her see sex in a different light, and had given her enough pleasure to make her last a lifetime. She had done things with him she’d didn’t know capable of.

What started out to be the perfect friends-with-benefits relationship gets deeper when emotions gets involve, and Lane starts to open up. Kat wanted to, but she was afraid to put Lane in danger. He had been through too much pain in the past that she didn’t want to complicate his life anymore. Because when her real life catches up with them, they’d be in great danger.

Since the start, I was always curious about Kat’s secrets. What is she hiding? What is she doing in their small town? No one prepared me from what I am about to find out. No matter how hard Kat tried to push him away, it would take a whole lot of danger before he finally gives her up.

Wild won’t just drive you WILD with desire. It will drive you towards surprising twists and turns, that will have you glued to your readers. It’s short, it’s steamy, it’s hot, it’s got action, it’s sweet, and it’s perfect.

If your a fan of hot dirty talking, like myself…than this story should be right up your alley! ;) Because Wild truly has a filthy mouth & this book is filled with plenty of hot steamy wild sex!

But yet this still has a plot and a story to it. I liked Wild or Aka Lane as a character. He seems like a bigtime player at first. But then I think underneath it all, he's a decent guy with a good heart.

And then Kat? Omg! Half of the book, maybe even more than half. I didn't really like her character. She always seems bitchy most of the time. Usually rude to Wild. And always brushing him off & trying to keep him at a distance. And also one of the worst judgement scenes to me is what she does after she catches Wild in one of the dark corners in the bar with Melissa. Hello? Get some sense girl! lol For her to see him to that & then hook up with him just a few minutes later just wasn't smart.

It didn't really click in why Kat was so rude majority of the time. Until towards the end concerning Jeremy. I think what her father ends up doing for her & Wild is so sweet. That's when it all began to come together for me. It sorta seemed left field a bit how I felt the story was going a certain way and then this bomb shell comes through.

I think what really makes this story the most interesting is Wild's dirty mouth! You can't deny how sexy his words are!
And even through all that filthy deliciousness..I feel like ultimately this wasn't a 5 starer to me because even though I liked it. I didn't love it. I don't really see myself re-reading it again. And the whole time it never really pulled me in. I didn't feel much connection to these characters. Or even really sense their connection to each other. Its like reading words, but the words aren't really absorbed because I didn't feel the connection behind the words being said. But all in all it was a decent read.

Holy Wild!!
Adriane Leigh has just exploded onto my screen and Destroyed me! Can I say it's in a good old fashioned way? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I was ruined so effortlessly and completely in the BEST WAY I NEVER KNEW SHE COULD deliver!! I am honestly admitting that this is the first book I have read from Adriane Leigh and it won't be the last, Mark My Words!
Wild is about two people who have such in depth hurt and mucked up feelings in their respective closets that even the thought of not being a stubborn a$$ face is an unrealistic option. I love the way these two lovers come together in a storm of denial of what their hearts and bodies want. It was comical to read that one or the other would be saying no while they're hugging and kissing or diving into their wanton fantasies screaming," OH GOD YES!!!" Wild and Kat focuses so hard on not being serious in a relationship that their actions draw the other to them. Wild and Kat's two step dance in the tug of war of desires is nothing short of combustible emotions being invoked by one great story teller.
I loved this story. Reading it in one sitting, I could not put it down. Well that's not entirely true... I needed to take a couple breaks... So get ready for a writhing, chest clutching, forgetting to breathe, Wild ride.
Wild isn't all lusty smut, Adriane writes so well and descriptive in a way that makes you know exactly what's happening in the story without being "wordy". WILD is also insanely sweet, in the most Alpha Male way that makes all girls swoon. Wild is determined to make Kat his even if he didn't know that's what he wanted for himself. There are half spoken truths from both Wild and Kat, that those omissions will put each other in harm’s way and only reading it will you find out what I'm talking about. I was pleasantly surprised with Wild and I look forward to the next chapter in this collection.
Fantabulous! 5 Stars

Holy Hotness! Say hello to Lane Wild! I absolutely devoured this book and was completely captivated by Lane and his wicked wicked ways. Adriane Leigh serves up another AMAZING novel that will consume you after you are done.

When Kat Kennedy turns up in a small town in Maine the last thing on her mind is a man but what she finds is so much more. Trying to escape her past Kat is trying to keep to herself, but everyone needs to cut loose sometimes. So a quick hook up in a bar shouldn’t’ be an issue. No strings. But the walk of shame from Lane Wild’s bed leaves her wanting more.

“Anyone who had me on my back and spreading my legs at the hint of a cocky grin was bad news.” ~ Kat

Lane Wild a/k/a Wild is a dirty talking, devilishly handsome guy who is just trying to forget his past and live for the moment. No attachments. Casual sex and nothing more. But something about Kat has him rethinking his ways.

“I devoured her, tasted her, licked at her mouth and took her in. I wanted to own her, be inside her, on top of her, all around her.” ~Wild

I LOVED the quick witted banter between Wild and Kat. She gave as good as she got. I continuously found myself smirking at the things that would come out of Wild’s mouth. He was definitely not shy about what he wanted and how he was going to go about getting it.

You could tell that they were both trying to remain guarded but that the walls were starting to crumble between them as their relationship heated up. Running from your past is impossible, as Kat finds out. But will her connection to Lane be enough to give her the inner strength she needs to make it through.

Go grab this book….RUN don’t walk! It is a steamy read with a great story and very likeable characters. You will not be disappointed.

This was such an AMAZING book! I am still thinking about it. It had such a wonderful story line and ladies if you loved Fifty Shades of Grey then you seriously need to read this book. I can’t believe I found a book that I would even think to compare to Christian Grey, but Lane Wild has changed that and I am definitely saying that he is just as wonderful as Christian in every aspect.

Kat is so sweet, loving and caring. I adored her character. She was your typical girl, but also had a wild and feisty side to her that Lane brought out of her. I felt so horrible for her once I discovered what secrets she was hiding. My heart broke for her and I wanted the man who caused all her pains to get exactly what he had coming.

Lane was well all I can start with is WOW! He is like every woman’s dream come true. Lane had me as soon as he started talking to Kat. Every run in with him was as good if not better than the last. I am officially in LOVE with him. He is strong, confident, has an amazing heart, and dominant. You do not know what you’re missing until you read about this AMAZING man.

I loved Kat and Lane’s relationship. Neither of them was looking for more than fun and time together, but the more time together they had the more they could both feel the wheels turning. I couldn’t get enough of them. They were so playful with one another and I was grinning at them the whole book. The ending was completely insane. I was so scared for both of them and worried that things weren’t going to end the way I was hoping. That’s all I’m giving you, just be prepared.

If you love a sweet yet sexy book, then you have got to read this wonderfully written story!

Wow. Holy hot stuff Wild. Just wow. Adriane does it again. Way to raise the bar and knock it out of the park. Not only are we given this hot steamy romance between Kat and Wild, but we get a truckload of drama too! It's perfectly balanced between the romance and the drama and Adriane does a superb job leaving you wondering through the story just what Kat is running from. She dangles the steak in front of the lion so well, you're left dying for more. More Lane Wild, more sexy Kat, and more crazy Kat history. What I love even more, is that this book is wrapped up so perfectly. It's not even so much that there is a happily ever after, but the way we are hand delivered out HEA is so amazingly seamless. It's not just moved on from a traumatic experience and pushed under a rug. It's dealt with. It's faced. It's fought. It's given. It's beautiful. Oh yea, and it's FREAKING HOT! The way Kat and Lane talk to each other, how he pushes her and how she pushes back. The smart ass comments, the alpha male control he has. Their relationship is all sorts of yummy. This book is all sorts of yummy. Lane Wild is all sorts of yummy....

If you love a hot, dirty- talkin’- to- the-point- of- crude, sex on a stick alpha male, you will absolutely love Lane Wild- and boy oh boy does that name ever fit him!

Kat has just moved to Maine and decides to let loose one night with a no holds barred one night stand with the beautiful guy she meets at a bar. She sneaks out in the middle of the night without getting his name (or giving him hers) and figures she will never see him again. If you are from a small town like the one described, you know as well as I do- good plan Kat, but good luck with that because it is SO not gonna work!! Sure enough, the hottie keeps popping up everywhere she turns and actually wants to “see” her again. He is beyond persistent and finally wears her down, although she really doesn’t protest too much when you get right down to it- especially since she doesn’t really want to fight him about it as long as he understands this is a friends with benefits deal only (light on the friends, heavy on the benefits part in her mind).

The first half of the book is pretty much just sex, sex, a little talking, oh and more sex- I'm surprised my Kindle didn't melt because some of the scenes were about as spontaneously combustible as you can get. Other times it just felt a little gratuitous and overdone. Unfortunately there is not a whole lot of a story line being told in the first 2/3 of the book. You know that Kat is hiding something in her past; Wild professes to be anti- relationship as well because of something in his past; and neither one of them wants to disclose what it is. Finally by about the 65-70% mark, the info starts to flow and the proverbial excrement hits the fan. I think the best part of the story happens from this point forward as the characters are both finally fleshed out fully (no pun intended) so that you understand what has happened up to that point. The epilogue was a great finale, and I am looking forward to Ridge’s story (Lane’s brother) this spring.

As for a rating, some parts were a 3, some parts were a 4 to 5, and some were in between so I am going to settle on 3.5 to 4 stars.

WILD. Yes this was absolutely wild. I read this book whilst in the throes of an epic storm thrashing about outside my window but inside my kindle there was an even wilder ride – Lane Wild! Just the very mention of this man’s name now has me tingling in my nether regions. He was total kick-ass alpha. Yes ALPHA!

Wild didn’t do relationships but he did women, anytime, anywhere, anyhow. Yes he was a slut and proud of it. No woman was ever going to tie him down with all that relationship shit, he took what he needed and no more. But then that night in the local bar he saw the newcomer – the red headed beauty who flicked the flirts on him so it was inevitable they would end up close and personal by the end of the night. Oh and what a sex fest of a night that was. A great one night stand that wouldn’t be repeated but then he couldn’t get her out of his head (either of them) so if she became a two night stand then so be it. Little did the alpha hot shot know what he was in for.

Kat was running away from her past and running to safety which brought her to the little coastal town in Maine and the tiny run down cottage she got dirt cheap. When the furnace conks out she finds out why it was dirt cheap. Her trip to the hardware store brings her face to face with her one night sexy stand but one look at him again and she knows she’s a goner. This man is a walking sex advert.

I loved everything about this book! The characters were off the charts – he was mega alpha and she was kick ass. The storyline was fantastic and the erotica ….well that was absolutely steaming and sizzling hot. This book had every nuance of an epic five star read BUT….and I can’t believe I am typing this…but there was….TOO MUCH SEX! The first, I’d say 60% of the book is all erotic interludes with no deep development of a relationship, although they were both coming to terms with understanding they needed each other but they communicated through sex, no discussion of where they came from, their past, their make-up, just SEX and what they wanted from the sex, what they got from the sex, when they were next having sex. We had the classic pet name which in this case was Sugar. Now I like a good pet name, it makes for a gushy, warm feeling of ‘aww he’s so manly but he’s showing his sweet by calling her that’ but he said it ALL THE TIME. Stop it! Just calm the eff down and pull back on that overuse.

The final 35-40% was brilliant! The plotline became evident, we understood why Kat was cagey, why Wild was elusive and all about their histories. There was also an amazing curveball thrown in (WTF!) which lead to an even further epic ending.

After reading this all I wanted to do was take all the amazingness that was intrepid throughout the book, put it in a container, shake it up and spread the equilibrium across the book. It would have then been a FIVE STAR PLUS read for me. I loved everything about it except the flow. So only on that point I give this a four star but it pains me to do so as I LOVED THIS BOOK! Goddam it I did. Oh and Wild? He’s my new BB. Rawr!

Phew – this is one seriously hot read. I really do enjoy me a dirty talking hero and Lane Wild is a seriously FILTHY talking hero and I loved every second. I think I’ve read everything that Adriane Leigh has ever published and I’ve always considered that she does the steamy side of romance very well so I was delighted to see her totally playing to her strengths in Wild and writing a full on erotic romance. Let me tell you – this is smokin’ hot!!

We begin Wild with Kat Kennedy moving out to the Maine coast to live in a fairly run down beach house obviously trying to escape something in her past. She just wants to be alone but one cocky grin from Lane Wild in the local bar has her practically melting at his feet, unable to resist his sexy charm. They share one very passionate night together and both are determined to go their separate ways but their attraction to one another has an almost gravitational pull and they can’t help but succumb time and again and they start to develop a closeness that neither expected.

I so loved Lane Wild. He really is a very Kristen Ashleyesque type of hero – he’s very alpha, brash, straight-talking and and dominant in such a pantie-melting way. He’s a firm believer in the ‘When Harry Met Sally’ school of thought that a guy and a gal can’t be friends, the sex always gets in the way and is determined that he and Kat will just have casual yet very sexy hookups. He’s also got a past that he wants to leave behind and is pretty shocked when he finds himself developing feelings for Kat and begins to feel very protective and possessive towards her.

Kat cut quite a lonely figure through most of this novel and I found myself really admiring her strength and fortitude. She’s obviously running from something and is quite nonplussed by the growing attachment she feels for Lane. She’s had a rough ride and, despite his devil may care persona that he carefully cultivates, she’s really warmed by Lane’s affection towards her but also wary, clearly not wanting to be hurt again. But oh boy, is their connection ever SEXY AS HELL!!

There’s also a suspense plot bubbling gently under the surface where you probably won’t notice it when it explodes into action and the last part of the book is pulsating and action-packed in a way I really hadn’t expected.

So this is one hot sexy ride with a dominant, pantie-melting hero and a feisty, kickass heroine. I’m really happy to see that this is book 1 in a new series and that other characters are going to get their stories. It’s my favourite kind of series – no cliffhangers and each book is a stand alone but the characters that you’ve bonded so well with return and we get to see them after their HEA. Can’t wait!

If you’re a fan of a dirty talkin’ man, you’re going to want to one-click this puppy! Holy smokes. This is probably one of the hottest books I’ve ever read. Wild had a naughty mouth on him, and I loved it!

I really enjoyed the premise of this book–a one night stand you have every intention of never seeing again. Until he pops up around every single corner, but what else can you expect in a small town?

There was an aura of mystery from the get-go–you were given glimpses of Kat and Wild’s one-night stand, but it doesn’t all come together for a bit. Wild and Kat are insistent they are just sleeping together, so both are hesitant to reveal much about themselves, and since they are together and so guarded throughout most of the book, even their thoughts are closed off.

I was glad we got both points of view in this book, because Kat was so closed off. I think it softened the reader to a character that might have been a bit abrasive if we’d only seen her side of things. Wild picked up on things about her that we wouldn’t have seen as the reader without his perspective.

I do have to say–if you want to really enjoy this book, you need to check your own morals at the door and realize that not everyone makes the same choices regarding relationships–no matter what type of relationship that might be. There was a point when Kat and Wild really frustrated me, but that works for me. I like a story that gets under my skin and makes me think twice about things. This book definitely did that.

With a dirty talker like Wild, the sex was obviously amazing in this book. His and Kat’s chemistry was explosive, and Wild was more than able to put his money where his…errr…mouth was.

I also liked that the more they insisted they were ‘casual,’ the more both of them balked at the idea, until Wild turned into one of those possessive, mark-his-territory kind of men. The more alpha a man is in the books I read, the sexier he becomes. I love a man that takes what he wants!

This may have been my first book by Adriane Leigh, but it sure as hell wasn’t my last!

If you’re looking for a ‘Wild’,’ steamy ride with some twists, turns, and screaming orgasms along the way, this book is definitely for you!

Wild certainly has a very wild spirit and very wild characters! I loved the characters!! This book literally left me panting..Some pages more than others..**coughing and blushing**

There are many things that I loved about this book..I loved that we read both points of view..Lane’s POVs were incredible and I adored him even more, so thank you Adriane for writing both POVs!! And I have to say it again : I loved the characters!! Both of them..I loved them so very much and I enjoyed them so much..I will delve into them later..And oh my those steamy sexy hot scenes..OH MY GOD!!..They were wow..Just wow!

However, I didn’t like how the book was written in the end..I felt like I was hit by hurricane, but I didn’t have time to cry over what happened..And I didn’t get to see the characters coping with what happened..There were just some mentions about what they did later in order to deal with it..Perhaps it’s difficult to understand what I mean without having read the book..But I take what happened very seriously and after having read remarkable books that involve such incidents, it wasn’t enough for me. However, I do understand that writing it differently would definitely darken the book and it’s very possible that outcome wasn’t desired so..Let’s just leave it at that!

Kat and Lane…Lane and Kat!!..For the third time, I loved these characters!!

>>Kat went through hell..That’s the only way of describing her past prior to Maine..Kat’s layers, as they’re called everywhere, really did it for me..And Lane, for that matter..xoxo I loved her fire! She’s feisty and determined and strong..And well she kept Lane on his toes..And oh how much I adore women who can do that..

>>Lane Wild..What-A-Man!!..I cannot believe what had happened to him..That kind of betrayal surely changes someone..My jaw had reached the floor when I read that part..Un-Freakin-Believable..That’s what I kept saying over and over in my head..Anyway..Lane is really an amazing character and strong enough to have a woman like Kat on his side! Not everyone can have a strong sexy lady like herself..

In conclusion,

Wild is definitely a book you must read!!It’s well….HOT!

Now I'm not sure if y'all have cottoned on... but I've become a BIG fangirl of Adriane's books. I'll admit, it was a rocky start for me with the Lace series (but that is another story all together) but then once I read the Mourning series- that was it. Adriane has me as a rabid, auto-buy fan after that series; she caught me hook, line, and sinker. So, once I found out about this new HOT romance... and let's face it, just look at that cover, I was chomping at the bit to sink my teeth into Wild.

I suppose not every book is going to please everybody equally - although, don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed Wild, but I didn't love it with the passion of a thousand suns like I did with the Mourning series. Was I fanning myself despite the low temperatures outside? YES! On just the hotness scale (from one to ten) Wild goes to an '11'. Maybe even 11½. Shoot, there might not be enough numbers to describe how your panties could spontaneously combust into flames. Despite all this scorching across the pages... have no fear, there is not some raunchy *boom*chicka*bow-wow* background track to the book (well, not loudly, anyway.)

I think some of my reservations reside in the characters. Now, usually I love me some alpha, bad boy 'player' in my fictional books... and I've read some SERIOUS alpha stuff in my day. But Lane Wild had to grow on me... he's got 'alpha' and 'player' and 'bad boy' in SPADES I tell you! But somehow, I had trouble trusting that there was that underlying heart of gold. He's one of those 'GREAT on paper in a fictional story' but put him in a room with me in real life, and I'd likely be alternating between climbing him like some brauny mountain and scratching his face off. And Kat... dig that she was a redhead (I have some serious unresolved jealousy issues about my mother's red hair that she did NOT pass on to me), I understood the reasoning behind her 'issues' and why it made her react the way she did... but I just was having a harder time getting really comfortable with them. I didn't dislike them, but I would be bosom buddies with them, either. Maybe it's just simple jealously of how darned hot they are together!

Overall: It's like taking a Nicholas Sparks romance, and mixing in an erotic film (notice I said erotic, and NOT porn.)

Kat loves into a small town in Maine. One night she goes into a bar and hooks up with Lane Wild, the town’s biggest player. After she realizes her mistake, she wants nothing to do with him. However, Wild wants everything to do with her.
I loved how this book started with a flashback with Kat and Wild’s one night stand. I was glad it did not start from the beginning with them just meeting. The flashback was written very well.
I initially really liked Kat, but then somewhere her character lost me. At first, she was careful with losing herself to Wild, but she would give in too quickly. Wild does not stop being “wild” and after that one scene, I could not think the same about him. I wish she would have made him grovel. Get on his knees and beg, but it took nothing but a “hey”, a wink, and a smile and she was back with him. I was yelling at my Kindle for her to stop.
I liked the mystery of what Kat was running away from. I found those chapters very interesting. I know I will read more by Adriane Leigh. The writing was not the problem. It was a nice story with the suspense and drama of Kat’s secret.

Kat Kennedy is on the run from an unnamed danger. Finding comfort in the small seaside town of Rock Island, Maine, she finally relaxes. She doesn't want attachments, no relationships, and she won't share information about her past. She soon finds out that a one-night stand in a small town cannot remain anonymous when she keeps bumping into the sex-god found after a long evening in the local bar. Wild doesn't do relationships either. He has his reasons. Together they explore nights of passion, until their pasts catch up with them and threaten everything.

The swear jar is overflowing, but not a single word was extraneous. Every *word* was right where it needed to be. Mr. Lane Wild, call me Wild, is alpha male to the nth degree, but that doesn't mean Kat is a walking, talking door mat. I love how she meets him head-on and lets him know where the line is….until he moves the line. The give and take between them evolves naturally. There were times when I wondered why Kat would react as she did, but that is part of her mysterious background.

This book was a quick erotic escape from reality. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, RIDGE, about Lane's brother. He needs to explain why he did what he did and what happened after…!

I gave Wild 3.5 Stars!

This was a steamy one!

Lane Wild (called Wild by everyone) loves women. He knows he has his pick so why settle with one? Kat Kennedy is an independent woman that is not looking for a relationship at all. When these two meet sparks fly and it takes off from there.

I really enjoyed this one. Wild was sexy, funny, arrogant, and I loved him! His filthy mouth made this book interesting. He seemed so anti-relationship until the moment he set eyes on Kat. He claimed her in that moment without realizing it. Kat has a past and moved away to a quiet little town in Maine. She vows to stay away from men, but with Wild she finds herself letting down her walls little by little. They completely fell in love without realizing it. Two people who were not supposed to fall in love did anyway!

I enjoyed both Wild and Kat as characters. Their chemistry was amazing. I enjoyed the writing as it flowed well. I laughed a lot and even swooned over Wild. While he was quite the dirty talker he was quite the romantic at heart. Just don’t tell him I said that! :)

Overall, this was a great read. The characters, including the secondary ones were enjoyable. I wish the ending was longer as there was mystery that I didn’t expect to occur. This made for a very suspenseful part of the book. It definitely set it a part from other adult contemporary novels. Also, I found Wild and Kat to be downright adorable, especially when they were no longer avoiding their feelings. If you are a fan of steamy and romantic reads then this is for you!

Wild was one hell of a ride. It was a short book, but it packed quite a punch. With a secretive protagonist, a dirty talkin' sexy as hell alpha male, lots of seriously steamy sexy scenes and a twist that took me completely by surprise, I found myself unable to put it down until I got end. Wild is part of a series of standalones, so there's not a cliffhanger, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I wanted more of Kat and Lane (er, Wild).

I loved the characters in this book. A librarian's assistant with a wild side, I found Kat to be very interesting. It was obvious she was keeping a secret, but I couldn't have predicted the depth of what she was hiding. Lane (Wild) just might be my new favorite alpha male. He knew what he wanted, he wasn't afraid to admit it. His dirty talk made me blush. It was obvious he knew his way around the female body and wow. Just wow. Both Kat and Lane were complicated characters, but they were likable and relatable. Their chemistry was off the charts. The relationship that was supposed to be friends with benefits only ended up being a hell of a lot more and I loved reading about the growth and change the relationship brought both of these characters.

Wow. What a book. I don't read a lot of erotica, but if more of it was written like this, I might consider it. Maybe it is and I'm unfairly judging it and really missing something. What do you think?

Note : I read Wild by Adriane Leigh through 'Exposed an antholgy' which isn't available anymore !!

Ok so I was being very skeptical about the storyline after having an one night stand. I have to say .. there wasn't really a storyline compared to other books I read. It just was.. Hot guy met girl. Guy wants girl even more .. girl doesn't want a relationship, after 80 % a little actions begins. But although there was like not a bit storyline I liked this book. It hooked me from the moment on. I guess it was the characters ' Kat Kennedy and Lane Wild acted and treated each other. When they were together which was almost the entire time of the book, they treated each other with love, passion. You would think Lane's a bad and cocky guy.. but Kat changed him somehow. Something not too nice happened in both of their pasts. Lane and Kat usually don't talk about their pasts.. so it actually didn't matter in the book. Lane's past is basicly information for Adriana Leigh next book ' Ridge' .. ( Lanes brother). Oh and the end is so beautiful. Made my cry. Bad guy gone good but is actually still bad. !
So hopefully Ridge has a bit more storyline so I can give it full 5 stars instead of 4 ! Looking forward to reading it.

Wild
by Adriane Leigh

Kat Kennedy moves to Rock Island to escape her past and has a one night stand with Lane Wild. They continue to have a friends with benefits arrangement because neither do the serious relationship thing but they can't seem to stay away from each other.
Oh hell I have now been ruined for all future leading men, Lane is bossy, cocky and a smart & dirty mouth that didn't fail to turn me on....
This is mostly in Lane's POV and I felt I got right into his head but not so much in Kat's but by the time I had finished I felt that I knew them both pretty well, the plot was brilliant and with the little "twist" that no one could have predicted and not what I expected at all.
I loved all the characters in this book and will look forward to reading more about them, I am also very excited that it seems there will be another book in this series based on Lane's brother Ridge and I am sure he will be as hot as Lane!
This is one smokin hot read with plenty of hot sex that will leave you squirming in your seat and in need of a few cold showers..... The sexual chemistry between Kat and Lane is fantastic, the sex scenes are realistic and well written. This is one of my best and hottest reads of 2013.

Wild, that is his name. He is Wild in bed I might add as well. He is sexy and knows what he wants and it is to mess around and nothing serious.

Well lets say the same about Kat the newcomer in town. But she doesn't mess around I should add. She had a very too many drinks and ends up having a "one night stand" with the one and only Wild. They are both not looking for a relationship so it works for the both of them. Kat is running from something in her past. You get that right off the bat or at least I did.

This book has all kinds of dirty talk. I love me some dirty talk so do not mind me as I say this but sometimes I feel it can be over done, well Wild's dirty talk was a little overboard to me. At first it as all cool and sexy but then I got kind of tired of what the next thing he was going to say was something getting between Kat's legs.

I do liked that the book was kind of a short type of book. I think it all mixed well together. Yes it is a erotic book so no complaints on the sex but wish there was more plot. But you do get quite a bit of a plot towards the end of the books so that made up for it.

Overall it was a good story about two people who have had messed up past that connect in their own way and own it.

Kat is running from a past that she would love to forget. She figures that the small town of Rock Island, Maine is a good place to start over. She's not looking for a relationship but one night with Wild thwarts her plans. Lane Wild usually doesn't go back for more than seconds with a girl, but there is something about Kat that he is addicted to and he can't get enough of her. They agree to a no strings, friends with benefits "relationship" but they don't realize how quickly they are getting under each other's skin. Can they both shove aside their demons and open up to something more? Or will Kat's past catch up with her and destroy the new life she has started to build?

Sometimes a girl just needs a fun, smutty and well, wild, read and that is exactly what author Adriane Leigh provided. Yes there is some angst and emotion and even a good dose of suspense. But what Wild is overflowing with is hot, dirty, smutty sex. And I loved every damn minute of it. Lane Wild has a filthy mouth and a cocky smirk and really, how can a girl not fall for that? This book delivered just what I needed and I'm looking forward to Ridge's story next. This was the first time I've read anything by Adriane Leigh and after spending time with this smuttastic book, I plan on reading all of her past novels as well.

Wild was included in the Exposed Anthology and is the 6th book in the collection. Of the first 5 books I was only able to read a couple of them....either I didn't like the writing or the story didn't grab me. But this book, wow, it caught me right from the start. Ms. Leigh is a good writer, the words flow together well, she put together a good story and she built some good characters. Especially Lane Wild.....oh boy, that is one hot dirty talking alpha. The sex scenes are scorching hot and some of the best I've ever read. I didn't think that the quantity of sex scenes was too many....it seemed to me they had sex exactly when you'd expect them to.

We don't learn until near the end of the book what the deal is with Kat and what she's hiding but that's okay because the bulk of the story is about the budding relationship between Kat and Lane and we see them falling in love in spite of their attempts not to.

There's a book 2 about Lane's brother, Ridge, and that one can also be read as a stand alone but I think the back story about Ridge included in Wild will add to the enjoyment of Ridge. Plus you'll want to read Wild just because it's so good.

Wow! This book is super HOT!! Ladies you might need a change of panties and your significant other nearby when you read this one.
Lane Wild is the epitome of pure unadulterated sexiness. Piercing blue eyes and especially blessed where it counts the most, with a dirty mouth and the skill to back it up he is one of the hottest male protags I've read this year!
Kat Kennedy is running from her past and it lands her right into his bed, before she even knows his name. Their chemistry is off the charts and while Wild has no problem exploring that chemistry as often as he can Kat tries to fight it because she knows he'll probably be nothing but trouble.
The opening scene, the bar hallway scene, the front porch scene, the restaurant closet scene...I cannot decide which is my favorite. I cannot say much more without giving away too much so what you need to know...
Voyerism, exhibitionism, abuse, heartbreak and a suspense. This book has it all and so much more. You will
LOVE every second of it and I dare you to not fall in love with Lane before you're 10% in!!
I couldn't put this book down.

WHOA a shower is required after this book because you'll need one to cool off.

Wild is just that WILD!!!

HOT

SEXY

SMOLDERING

Possibly sticky depending on how much you like what you read.

You know the saying "baby making music"? Well that's what this book is. Wild is the equivalent of baby making music. This is a baby making book. Just read a scene and jump your significant other.

Never in my life have I wanted to act out a scene from a book as I did with Wild. NO I'm not telling you which one. But holy crap.

I'm still embarrassed by some of what I read. My eyes are permanently bulging out of my head.

Seriously thinking my husband needs to read this book.

Every single woman in this world needs Lane Wild to talk dirty to them. Just once. I'm not even going to get into what this story is about. It's fantastic, it's smutty, it's dirty, and oh so good. In fact I'm going to let the excerpt and the teasers to speak for themselves.

Lane Wild is my new favorite alpha.

Lane Wild is a dirty talkin’ hottie and if I met this man, I would climb him like a tree! Adriane Leigh’s Wild was a fun read. An Alpha male with a dirty mouth meets the new woman in town who is hiding from something and wants no attachments and the sparks fly between these two! The dialogue is quick and witty. The sex scenes were HOT. The characters were likeable. It was a worthy read and I liked it! What I didn’t like was the fact that issues that were too painful to talk about, issues that were made to seem like this HUGE secret, were kind of glossed over. This book is not heavy on the emotions. Some heavy issues are a factor in the story but the emotions that Lane and Kat’s histories should invoke were sort of skipped and made trivial in the scheme of things. It’s not a bad thing. I think this was meant to be an positive love story and it was. But the issues were tackled too easily for me. I find it hard to believe that something you are running from and have dealt with for years wouldn’t have had a more lasting effect on the characters. I wanted to see more of the heavy emotions. But such is life. Still worth the read!

This is what comes to my mind when I think of Wild after reading this book. I thought Adriane's The Mourning After Series was hot, but I have to admit the temperature rose to scorching levels with this new couple, Lane and Kat. The sexy scenes and dirty talk is enough to get the heart racing.

Even though these two have their fun time with each other quite often, they also have things from their pasts that are heartbreaking and dangerous. Sometimes things they would rather leave behind have a funny way of showing up when least excepted. The ending was pretty intense and it had me turning the pages to find out what would happen, but Adriane can pull off a great ending. Another surprise was that Lane has a brother, Ridge. There was a part in this book that made me not very fond of Ridge, but he will be getting his own book next so I shall see. This was a great start to a sizzling new series.

Ok, so I usually don't go for the smutty males. But wild, wild won my heart. He seems so believable... The typical man! Well, maybe sexier. But lets just say that no matter how normal and seemingly shallow a person maybe, there is always depth and as you read through... You'll see what I mean and why you fall so hard for wild.

Kat. What can I say about Kat besides the fact that I want to be her, mainly BC of the great sex;) you can't quite figure her out until the very end, big surprise (don't worry, I won't ruin it.) she's the bitch we all know we can be and can totally understand her emotions, mostly BC we have all been there. Very relatable character.

The author out does herself on this book. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it became another big hit. The way the story flows together and how she keeps you continuously finding more and more, getting deeper and deeper into the characters lives the further you go. Loved every minute of this book!

Another great read from one of my favourite writers. At first I thought it was a little slow to get to the secrets that both our characters were holding so close. Hot freaking hot, is the best way to describe our hunky Wild. The story really picked up as I went.

Could not get enough of these 2. Love these tales of angst. 2 people who are obviously so much in love that it frustrates the hell out of me with how long they take to get together. That's the whole point, throwing out the line and hooking us in.

Lane and Kat have fantastic chemistry. The flames leap off the page. The secrets that finally come out are jaw dropping. I fealt e end seemed a bit rushed, but am glad not to have to feel for too long what Kat must have been going through.

Without letting anything out to spoil the story, this is another wonderful powerful romance from Adrienne. Action packed story that will consume you until the end.

What a Wild ride, loved it.

Wild is one sexy dirty-talking man!

The plot is a little weak as is the portrayal of the heroine in this one.

But that’s kinda not the point with this book. The light plot is really just a vehicle for these highly erotic, steamy sexual encounters. There’s lots of locations besides a bed and lots of different positions and acts, including light menage, submission.

Once you realize that you’re not getting a heavy story and just straight up sexy scenes, then it’s easier to give this book more stars than less. Story alternate POVs, but would have been better served just from Lane’s POV ‘cause he’s a hot dirty talker.

There is violence at the end, but you kinda figure it’s coming (no pun intended).

Holy cow this was a great book - I LOVED it! It had everything: detailed characters, awesome setting you could picture based on the description, a mystery/thriller twist and over-the-top, steam-up-your-glasses bedroom scenes. Lane Wild is my new favorite book boyfriend!! He was so cocky and dominant and yet loving all at the same time he really blew me away. He was a good guy but also a very bad (wink!!) guy all rolled up into one. Kat was independent and sassy who wasn't afraid to say what she thought. She also wasn't afraid to go for what she wanted and I loved that about her, how fearless she was. Their chemistry literally sizzled and almost blew up my e-reader!
I'll be reading more by this author right away but can't wait until "Ridge" (the next in this series) comes out!

Wild is definitely in my top 10 books of this year.

Outstandingly fabulous and of the scale hot read that you'll still think about days after you read it.

This is an absolute unputdownable read because you aren't just hooked on this story, you are sucked in. Deep and hard.

Kat and Lane's story is a wild, hot, wicked and raw journey.

I was flipping the pages way past the bedtime and with each page I read, it drew me in more and more.

Adriane definitely doesn't disappoint. With each next book she writes, she overdoes herself a bit more.

I so can't wait to read the next books in the series.

Wild by Adriane Leigh

Kat Kennedy has started her life over in a small town in Maine. All she wants is to leave her past far behind her and have a fresh start. Lane Wild, or Wild as he prefers to be called, has lived his whole life in the small Maine town that Kat decides to settle down in. He and Kat meet at the local bar and have a hot and wild night together, but when he wakes the next morning the fiery red-head has already left him. Of course since it is such a small town it doesn't take long for Wild to find Kat again in town and he soon realizes that he cant keep his hands off of this sassy woman. Kat feels the sparks flying between her and Wild every time she sees him and she knows that no matter how hard she tries she just can't resist this sexy man. From the beginning Kat and Wild both declare that they don't do relationships, but they find themselves spending more and more time together. As they finally begin to open up and reveal some of their past to one another we find out that they have both been hurt in the past and neither wants to open their heart and allow that to happen again. However, you can't always control what the heart wants, no matter how hard you try. Just as everything is looking good for Kat and Wild, Kat’s past finally catches up to her. Will Wild be able to break through all of Kat’s walls and save her or will the past take Kat away from him forever????

This book was freaking AMAZING!!!!!!!! The descriptions of the surroundings were so vivid that I could hear the water hitting the rocks and imagine the snow falling all around. I love a book where the author takes the time to actually describe the settings in a way that really lets you picture everything. Kat was super strong woman who was not going to let her past stop her from living her life. Wild was a dirty-talking, freaking hot as hell, baby-boy. The way he talked, the attitude, everything about him just screamed SEXY!! And when you get to the scene where it is just him and Kat alone in the bar, watch out cause your Kindle might just go up in smoke from the heat! This was my first time reading anything by Adriane Leigh but I know I will be reading more. I can’t wait to read her next one, Ridge. This book gets 5 hot, sexy, and steamy stars from me!!!

I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. I was in a serious book hangover and couldn't find a cure. That was until I met Lane Wild. He totally cured me. Wild and Kat have a delicious one night stand which leads to a lot of denial that either of them want or need a relationship. But a snow storm a need to start a fire in more ways than one make denying their budding relationship impossible.

This book has some serious sex- some serious dirty talk-and one swoonworthy Lane Wild. The drama and intrigue will make you stay up reading until the end. Kat is damaged but Lane Wild has the cure. This book is not to be missed.

Wild drove me “WILD”!
The tumultuous and sexy beginnings to Kat Kennedy and Lane Wild could not have a more perfect setting, the harsh beautiful rocky backdrop of Maine winter served the plot of raw earthy sexuality between these two. Despite a past filled with pain and abuse for Kat and Lane’s lack of trust in lasting relationships after suffering utter betrayal by some he cared for in his past.
The explosive sexual chemistry was undeniable and gave them a place to begin anew and grow into a love so much deeper, and lasting. The sheet melting, heart pounding sex kept me up all night to the finish. But the love and connection these to found in each other left me very satisfied. Brilliant work again by Adriane Leigh

This book was slow to start for me. But Once you get past chapter 6,WOW! Had it been like that from the start then this would be a 5 star book. As it is tit is almost a 5 star book. this book was amazing. At first, I had a hard time connecting, it was a lot more sex than story. Then I found my connection with both Kat and Lane.

A lot of pain in both Kat and Lane's lives, but they begin to heal each other. this was a very beautiful love story with a lot of pain and struggle. Towards the end I was on edge and wanting to kick Lane in the behind. Kat too for that matter. The ending was beautiful and now I can not wait to read Ridge and hope to see more of Lane, Kat and even Dillon and Slade!

Why did i wait so long to read this???? Im kicking myself right now.

Lane Wild is insanely HOT, confident, cocky (bahaha - in more ways than one!) and he has the dirtiest mouth I have ever heard from a male book character. I was under this mans spell after the first few pages, and as the book went on, I fell deeper and deeper.

Kat took a little while longer to get there than I did! (Come on love, catch up!!!!) she fought her feelings towards Wild, but that man is so damn persistant, she didnt stand a chance. I loved how sassy she was and she didnt take any s*** from him.

This book has it all - laughs, emotion (i had a few moments where i was fighting back tears) and plenty of HOT, DIRTY SEX!!! What a perfect combination!

For all you haters of cliff-hangers out there, Im pleased to tell you that the story is tied up nicely with a beautiful epilogue :)

Im ashamed to admit that this is the first book I've read from Adriane Leigh, but I can tell you right now, it certainly wont be the last.

Lane Wild is one HOT alpha male of yumminess! I loved this book for so many different reason: the hot sex, the dirty talk, the secrets of both Lane & Kat's past and how they unfold. Adriane Leigh never disappoints. I loved the story was told in both Kat and Lane's POV. It's always interesting to read a male perspective's especially in a romance! I loved the witty lines and humor between Lane and Kat. I loved that Kat didnt take any crap from Lane. I am a huge fan of Adriane Leigh and can't wait to read the next two books in the series.

Okay! What can I say about Wild??? The man is HOT and he knows it.

Wild has a dirty mouth and he is so good at dirty talk. The relationship between Kat and Wild is steamy and sexy. She wants to do things but is too afraid and he doesn't judge her when she does it. The chemistry between Wild and Kat is undeniable and filled with lust. They both have a past and would like for the past to stay in the past while they pretend that they are living for now in the moment.

Ok! Can I just say I can imagine the bar scene and now every time i walk into a damn bar I'll be looking for pools tables and a dark hallway and a waitress that provides extra services too....OMG!

So Wild's ex is a little biatchhhhhhh, there is nothing wrong with cheating, however if you're going to do it don't involve his damn brother. Ok, ok! so there is something wrong with cheating but who am I to judge soooooo if I'm going to cheat, it will not be with his brother or cousin or best friend or no family member for that matter. I could also say the same thing about his brother too but I have a soft spot for the boy and the fact that he took life too serious. I love the fact that we were able to see how Kat saw the reality of Wild, Ridge and his ex when they met on the side walk and was able to pick-up that there was tension. I also love the nonchalant attitude of both Wild and Kat while they are both trying to penetrate each other's walls to see what's there.

This was an awesome book Adriane

I'm a big fan of this genre of writing and WILD doesn't fail to deliver erotic scene after scene. Kat has a troubled past she is trying to escape and can't let anyone get to close. Lane Wild or just call me Wild suffers from a broken heart and a bad case playboyitis. Their one night was just supposed be the ONE night. The sex has them coming back for more even though they don't want to be in a relationship. I like the easy writing style of this Adriane Leigh. Her characters are well thought out and likable. It's the first time I've read one of her books and I will definitely be checking out others she written.

If you want a steamy sex scene right away then this is the book for you. Sex every chapter and boy are those scenes written super well..... holy cow. If you love a man that tells it like is, in such a yummy way, you'll love this book!! Well worth reading!!

A yummy story about Kat and Wild. Kats' moved to a new town to hide who knows what (well I know but you'll have to read the book to find out!), but once she stops in for a drink and what she "thought" was going to be a one night stand...all the fun begins! The devilishly handsome bad boy Lane Wild will keep you on your toes (not to mention on your back if he has his choice in the matter!*G*).

Neither one of them want a relationship, but when you can't keep your mind nor hands off each other... hmmm where does that tend to lead you?

I loved the banter back and forth between these two and they both pretty much say what they mean and tell it like it is which makes it even better!

I was given this book as a gift! It was definitely a hard book to put down!!

Lane Wild and Kat Kennedy were the steamiest read I've had in 2014. Set my expectations for other books very high.

I loved this book from the very first page to the last word. Adriane Leigh did an amazing job giving us a hot romance read with a great story line. I was hooked immediately and couldn't stop reading it. It was a bumpy ride for these two and to see how quickly it went from a no-strings fling to full on love story was enthralling.

I will definitely read more work by this author in the future.

I enjoyed this book very much! I loved how sassy Kat is and I loved Lane. He was so sure of himself and cocky but still was sweet on the inside! Even thought both have been through a lot of tragedy and need to heal. They way they fight against their relationship being anything more then physical the harder they fall. This story had me on the edge of my seat. There is just enough mixture of drama, steam, and romance to keep you turning the pages.

How would I describe this book in one sentence? Two people not interested in anything permanent find it impossible to tug against the magnetic force of one Wild night together.

That about sums it all. No, really, this book was so hot, I found it hard to hold my ipad to read it. Well, maybe that’s because I kept putting it down and attacking my guy. Poor thing, NOT.

What I loved most about it were the questions that kept creeping up and making hard to put it down without answers. While I figured some out early, others I didn’t. And overall, I kept guessing until the end.

If you haven’t read this author, she’s a must if you like your book hot and spicy. She delivers every time.

At first, this started off really slow for me. It took me about 40% to get into it. After I got into it, I really loved it. The relationship between Wild and Kat was interesting. I never knew where it was going next. The lighthouse scene had me holding my breath the entire time. The formatting was a little off in one small part, which drove me crazy. Other than the formatting, I loved it. I'm looking forward to reading Ridge soonish.

Sexy and smart read with hot characters. In the beginning there was a point when I thought this book may have had, dare I say, too much sex with not enough storyline. It redeemed itself though and had a memorable and interesting ending that I loved. I loved the layers that both characters had, they really complemented each other. Can be read as a standalone, but I'm looking forward to reading more in this series!
