Seriously, I can't put these books down. I kind of hate myself for it but I am obsessed with what's going to happen next. These are a great filler until the Halloween Special airs. But don't expect the story to be the same. It isn't.

This book was described as "Like new" and when I received it, it was dirty and the corners were bent. I would have described it as "acceptable" at best. However, it is readable and was very reasonably priced. It also arrived quickly. So, other than the false advertisement of, "like new" I am pleased with my buy. I would think twice before ordering from this seller again though.

Personally speaking, this was the best entry in the series to date. I really felt it was well paced and I wasn't bored at any point. I thought Emily's story in Iowa would bother me, but Shepard moved that along expertly. I cared about the story more this time around, and most of the red herrings were cleverly done, so as to make some readers suspect them, while more sceptical readers might not.

*SPOILER BELOW*
With the way things unfolded with Mona, I like how this book wrapped up one of the major story arcs while still keeping things open to further stories -- I just hope it stays interesting. A part of me found the Mona stuff well done, but part of me felt it was a bit too convenient, especially with how "A" was always there at each of their most secretive moments. But suspension of disbelief and all that -- I'll let that go.
*end spoiler*

None of the 4 main plot-lines felt too silly this time around, especially with less emphasis on boy drama and more on the mystery. I know this series is designed for teenage girls, but it's good to tone down that stuff. It was still there, but not as prevalent. The final 10 chapters or so were gripping and hard to put down, and moved at a pace fitting the events.

I can only hope the series continues to keep me interested, even after what unfolded this time around. Only time will tell. 8.5/10

"There's a lot you can't tell about people, looking in from the outside"

After the explosive events of the last book, a LOT is happening. Emily has a one way ticket to Iowa. Aria is still homeless, waiting in the hospital with her ex-friend, Hanna, as Hanna struggles in a coma. And Spencer is shaken by what she did to her sister. The girls just wait; will Hanna remember who "A" is? Will they ever be free of "A"'s grip?

I came roaring into this one straight off Book 3. I just had to find out what happened next, after the events of Book 3 left me dangling. And Book 4 did not disappoint; the end to this story arc is edge-of-your-seat madness.

This review, however, is probably going to be extremely boring. I don't want to give away TOO many spoilers, so I can't go into much detail about what happens. As for the conclusion, for the big reveal of "A" and Ali's killer...well, that DEFINITELY can't be revealed.

Also, a lot of the compliments I had for the previous book remain. Characters are great, writing is great, pacing is great, the story is interesting in that soap-opera-y, over dramatic way, and so on and so forth. So instead of breaking down each and blathering on and on about them, I'll just bring out the highlights of the final book to the story arc.

Each girl continues to be unique, to have her own problems, and come to her own (sometimes false) conclusions. Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily start to learn that maybe they need to try to work together and find out who "A" is. The little tendrils of friendship, from Aria in the waiting room of the hospital, worried for her friend, Hanna, to Spencer helping Mona plan Hanna's vigil, begin to show how these girls aren't so different, how they could really be friends again if they tried. It is when they work together that the mystery is revealed. It is when they stop hiding things that their lives begin to go back to normal.

What I adored most was how each girl had some sort of satisfying resolution to her story. From home life, to new friendships, to breaking down the walls between family, each girl doesn't end the story as messed up as they began.

However, that doesn't mean they are 100% cured. After the events of this book, I want to know what happens to Emily/Maya (after, of course, smacking Emily around for how she treated Maya). I also am not sure if Hanna will be back together with the adorkable Lucas. And there is the hint that a new "A" will be popping up, thus why this series is longer than 4 books.

I definitely have plans to continue this series...only, I need a break. Reading the first four Pretty Little Liars books nearly straight through is threatening to make me PLL'ed out. So I'll take a break with a few other books, before continuing my PLL marathon!

Dialogue/Sexual Situations/Violence:
These books are surprisingly clean when it comes to language. I've read some teen books where they drop the f-bomb more than adult books, but no so with PLL. There are a few b--ches, but that is as strong as they get.
Hanna and Lucas make out; Emily goes to a party where the teenagers do a lot of "exploring" and "grinding". Mona hires hot males to carry Hanna to her party and to do all the serving.
There is a scuffle at the end of the book with "A" that ends up in a death. Also, Ali's killer is revealed.
As with the other books in the PLL series, I would recommend this to mature teens, 16+.

Also reviewed on my blog, The Vintage Bookworm. [...]

As some of you may know, I started this book right after finishing Perfect. I know I said that I thought Perfect was my favorite so far of the series, but I have found a new one. Unbelievable certainly lives up to its title. I just can't believe everything that happened in the fourth book. I'm still sitting here stunned, and all I'm going to say on that matter is 'A' is revealed in the fourth book. After learning who it was, I went through so many different emotions. Astonishment, victory of having this person on my suspect list, and then annoyance at thinking it was someone entirely different in the end before 'A' is revealed.

Sara Shepard definitely knows how to throw you off the track. She gives you clues here and there to make you suspect someone, who may or may not just be the person, but then she steers it toward someone completely different and makes you believe that this person could possibly really be 'A'. But then in the end it's the other person you may have suspected. It's very clever!

I know a lot of people may think that this is just a girly, fluffy series. But it's not. It's full of mystery and suspense. Even though I'm still a little weirded out by how different, but sometimes how close, the series and books are together, I still love the books and they have become a favorite series of mine.

In my opinion, I think this one is the most intense of the first four Pretty Little Liar books. In the beginning of this book, I thought I knew what to expect from this one. But I was wrong. I mean, some things I thought were going to happen, happened. But I never thought that maybe 'A' would be revealed, and even though I suspected the person who is revealed as 'A', at the same time I didn't think it could of been this person.

Overall, this is a great series and I can't wait to continue the series. Even though 'A' is revealed in this book, the pretty little liars aren't being let off that easily just yet. There are more lies and mystery to be revealed. After all, who really killed Ali?

Well the mysterious A is back, and meaner than ever. The book opens up at the hospital, as everyone anxiously waits for Hanna to wake up from her coma - after she was "accidentally" hit by a car for knowing too much. But when she does finally wake up, all of her memories from the night she was hit are gone. Emily's parents have shipped her off to live with her extremely conservative relatives in Iowa. There, she meets an interesting girl named Trista, who seems a little too friendly and may get in between Emily and Maya's relationship. Spencer is still dealing with the guilt from stealing her sister's paper, which nominated her for the Golden Orchid award. Plus, her memories are starting to come back about the day Ali was killed - and they definitely are not good memories. Aria's mom kicked her out of the house for keeping her father's affair a secret from her. Aria is now living with her dad and his quirky girlfriend, Meredith, and Aria is determined to make things right again. In the midst of all this drama, A starts bringing her anonymous texts and letters to a frighteningly new level: threats.

I just adore this amazing and creative series. Each book is better than the last, if that's even possible! It seems like Sara Shepard has grew completely comfortable with her four main characters because they are just so realistic. Their problems don't seem exaggerated but just right, and enough to thicken the plot. I love reading about these girls' juicy secrets and how they'll handle it when they are unveiled to the world. Sara Shepard has a way with words, and I just love her writing style.

This book is probably the most suspenseful of all the previous ones. The author had me guessing who A was - and my prediction was constantly changing through each chapter. She sets the pace of the story wonderfully and the huge climax at the end was just...wow. It was 'unbelievable' what happened. I loved the mix of emotions that pulsed through the novel. I began seeing the four girls in a new perspective. They didn't seem as stuck up and conceited than before, and I'm growing to really understand them. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't as much romance in this particular book than in the others. Sara's great at writing up the romantic scenes, however I guess the suspense made up for it. One little thing that I noticed was how there are always policemen around at the weirdest places, wanting to ask the girls questions concerning Ali's murder. This even happens at a party! It just seems strange to me how casually the police will ask the girls questions in public.

We finally learn who A is, and that left me speechless! It actually makes a lot of sense and I'm glad that the author explained it well and answered many of my questions. I'm kind of curious now to go back and read the first three books in the series over again, now that I know who A is. Also, Ali's killer is revealed! There are still four more books in this series though, so I'm not sure what is going to happen now that both identities have been uncovered. Sara Shepard has once again blown me away with her fantastic and addicting novels. As soon as I read the last page of this book, I was already grabbing the next installment from my bookshelf to begin ripping through. I really hope to finish it before the TV show starts back up again!

SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE ENDING OF THE BOOK TO BE SPOILED!

The book Unbelievable by Sara Shepard is one of the best books I have ever read. At the end of this book you think everything is finally perfect, but things will only get worse for the pretty little liars.
Hanna was hit by a car in the third book because she knew who A (the person sending threatening texts) was . Now she is in the hospital and fighting for her life. She is also having dreams about Ali saying "I'm going to be fine, relax and I'm okay." She has no idea what happened the night she was hit or who A is. Emily is now in Iowa with her super strict aunt because in the third book A showed everyone including her parents a picture of her kissing a girl. Her parents tried to send her to a program to stop her from liking girls, but it didn't work so now she's stuck in Iowa until her aunt kicks her out for something she didn't do. Spencer thinks she killed Ali because she had a vision of pushing Ali on the night she was murdered and then hearing a crack. She has no idea how she could have pulled Ali all the way to the hole and she doesn't remember anything after the crack. Aria moved in with her dad after cheating on one boyfriend and getting the other one fired. She is also taking an art class with Jenna the girl they caused to go blind. She tells Aria an important secret about that night that could change everything.
I think the theme of this book is be careful who you trust. In this book Hanna's best friend turns out to be the person that hit her with a car and A. also Ali might have kept horrible secrets from them that could tell the secrets of her murder. Trusting Mona early cost Spencer and Hanna their lives. Trusting Ali might have kept them from the truth of her murder and made someone innocent go behind bars.
I think what made this book great is that the pretty little liars lives are constantly changing, but usually not for the better. Even though Hanna's alive she forgets who A is. Spencer might not have killed Ali, but she killed someone else. Mike might forgive Aria, but Aria risked her life. Emily might have left Iowa, but what will her parents think of her now. They ruined things for themselves with A's help. I really enjoyed seeing the pretty little liar's change, which they did a lot in this book and they became much more independent. Independence might not have helped in the beginning, but it helped in the end, especially Hanna. This book is an amazing book and if you like the show or the first three books you have to read Unbelievable.

Ah, yes. Another fine installment to this great series. We finally get to find out who A really, is and it was a complete surprise. I didn't know who A was, but I did figure out how A knew everything about the 4 girls.

This book picks up after A runs over Hanna with her car and is in the hospital. A is still pulling strings that make the 4 grirls jump. That being said, A offers one of the girls a choice: Help A, and they both can be A, or die. The choice is there.

Emily-Her parents don't like the choice with her sexuality, and ships her off to her aunt's and uncle's to live. While she's there, she does something, and when she moves back home, it come to bit her in the butt and could cause even more problems. Out of all the girls, Emily is my favorite.

Hanna- She has to deal with being hit by a car, and has a memory loss of all of it. She knew who A was, and for that, A ran her over with a car. When she's getting better, her once friend, then ex friend, Mona, is helping her. Hanna doesn't remember what Mona did to her. Lucas is trying to help Hanna, but soon Mona convinces Hanna to dump Lucas as a friend, because, Lucas isn't cool enough. Hanna is my second favorite, but she makes choices, and I feel that she has to live with those choices.

Spencer- She's up for a writing award for an essay she's written, but the only problem is that she didn't write it. She has to come to terms with that. Also, we get to know a little more about her past. We learn that she has memory gaps, She is still having problems with Melissa, her sister. They try to work things out, but is it to late for them? Spencer is one of my least favorites. She tends to make poor choices, then whines about them. She's made her bed, and now she has to lay in it. All of her problems she brought on herself.

Aria - She has to come to terms with her dad's affair and his love love. Her mom kicks her out of the house for something she does. Her mom and brother find out that she knew about her dad's affair and didn't tell them, so that doesn't maker her popular with them. Aria has to come to terms with the affair that she had with a teacher, and how it affects her new boyfriend. Aria is another character that I really don't like. She made a lot of poor choices and then wants people to feel sorry for her. Like Spence, she made her bed, now she has to take a big ole nap in it.

What I like about this series is that we don't know everything at once. We get small pieces here and there, then the small pieces make a big picture. We find out some things about Allie and her secrets that she was hiding. We also get some information on "The Jenna Thing" way back in the start of the series. Again, we see how Allie wasn't such a nice friend, and how she controlled everyone around her and how she used them.

There are a lot of things I left out, because I don't want to spoil anything.

Even though we find out who A is, and what happens to A, but the end of the book, we have a new A in town. I can't wait to see how the series plays out.

If you start the series, I can promise you'll be hooked.

Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily are back, some in better state than others, and ready to bring down A. When we last left the pristine Rosewood Hanna had just discovered who A was, but she knew too much and A made sure she couldn't say anything by "accidentally" hitting her with a car. Now as Hanna fights for her life, the other three girls have to clean up the mess that A has made.

Spencer finally remembers what happened the night of Ali's death and what she remembers isn't good. Could she really have killed Ali? Not only does she have to deal with the thought that she could have really killed her best friend but she's got to reason with the guilt of stealing her sister's AP Economics paper which got Spencer nominated for an award her sister should have won. With the feeling that A is constantly breathing down her back will Spencer be able to keep her cool composure or will she finally pop?

After A let it leak that Emily likes girls, Emily's been living on the edge of sanity. Her parents don't know what to do with her so they send her off to her hyper conservative relatives in Middle of Nowhere Iowa. When she arrives Emily knows she won't last long, then she meets Trista, an interesting girl who seems to understand Emily and doesn't mind talking to her. Will Emily last, or will she flee back to Rosewood and hope that she is accepted by those who love her most?

Aria's been kicked out of her mother's house after her mom found out Aria had been keeping the secret of her father's affair a secret for the past three years. Once again we have A to thank for unveiling this bit of information. With nowhere else to go Aria moves in with her father and horrifyingly peppy girlfriend Meredith. All Aria wants is for her life to go back to normal. When she starts an art class over at the neighborhood college her partner is none other than Jenna Cavanaugh, the girl who was the terrible victim of a nasty prank that Aria was a part of. Can Aria ever escape her past or will it keep catching up with her?

Then there's Hanna who really is hanging on for dear life. She can't remember anything from the night of the accident, especially the identity of A. The rest of the group doesn't want to pressure her too much, but they really want to know who A is. If this isn't enough Hanna has to deal with her feelings for Lucas. She remembers hanging out with him a couple of times, but that's it. It seems though that a lot more happened. Will Hanna be able to get her memory back and solve they mystery of who A really is?

This has always been a favorite series of mine. I mean who can resist the scandalous secrets of others, especially of those who live in Rosewood? Unbelievable completely blew all three of the books out of the water. It could almost be a stand alone book if all the information we learn in the preceding books wasn't crucial to the plot.

It seems that the author finally became comfortable with the characters in this book. The characters felt like real people and some of their issues became more realistic. I also felt that it was much easier to relate the characters in this book. They didn't seem as stuck up and it was easier to like them. In my opinion this is a particularly important part of a book because if you can't relate then it's hard to actually imagine the feelings that the characters in the story have. While, in my opinion, this was a weakness in the other books the author has completely redeemed herself with this installment of the series.

The plot itself was great. Suspense has a totally different meaning to me now! At no point did I find myself knowing what would come next. I eagerly turned the pages hoping to devour more secrets and uncover more answers. The author did a great job hanging the identity of A over our heads until the final chapters of the book. And just as you thought you knew who killed Ali, wham the author threw another curveball at you. Before I had even started the book I had known that A would be uncovered in this book and was truly wondering how the story would continue afterwards as there will be a total of eight books. I found that as some answers were told more questions surfaced. Again the author left us with too many questions left unanswered. Now I simply cannot wait for the fifth book. In the meantime though I urge you to pick up this book as it is simply impossible to put it down.

When she arrives, Emily knows she won't last long -- then she meets Trista, an interesting girl who seems to understand Emily and doesn't mind talking to her. Will Emily last, or will she flee back to Rosewood and hope that she is accepted by those who love her most?

Aria's been kicked out of her mother's house after her mom found out she had been keeping the fact of her father's affair a secret for the past three years. Once again, we have A to thank for unveiling this bit of information. With nowhere else to go, Aria moves in with her father and his horrifyingly peppy girlfriend, Meredith. All Aria wants is for her life to go back to normal. When she starts an art class over at the neighborhood college her partner is none other than Jenna Cavanaugh, the
girl who was the terrible victim of a nasty prank that Aria was a part of. Can Aria ever escape her past or will it keep catching up with her?

Then there's Hanna, who really is hanging on for dear life. She can't remember anything from the night of the accident, especially the identity of A. The rest of the group doesn't want to pressure her too much, but they really want to know who A is. If this isn't enough, Hanna has to deal with her feelings for Lucas. She remembers hanging out with him a couple of times, but that's it. It seems, though, that a lot more happened. Will Hanna be able to get her memory back and solve the mystery of who A really is?

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS has always been a favorite series of mine. I mean, who can resist the scandalous secrets of others, especially of those who live in Rosewood? UNBELIAVALBLE completely blew all three of the previous books out of the water. It could almost be a stand-alone book if all the information we learn in the preceding books wasn't crucial
to the plot.

It seems that the author finally became comfortable with the characters in this book. They felt like real people and some of their issues became more realistic. I also felt that it was much easier to relate the characters in this installment. They didn't seem as stuck up and it was easier to like them. In my opinion, this is a particularly important part of a book, because if you can't relate then it's hard to actually imagine the feelings that the characters in the story have. While I think this was a weakness in the other books, the author has completely redeemed herself with this addition to the series.

The plot itself was great. Suspense has a totally different meaning to me now! At no point did I find myself knowing what would come next. I eagerly turned the pages hoping to devour more secrets and uncover more answers. The author did a great job hanging the identity of A over our heads until the final chapters of the book. And just as you thought you knew who killed Ali, wham!, the author threw another curveball at you. Before I had even started the book I had known that A would be uncovered in this book and was truly wondering how the story would continue afterwards, as there will be a total of eight books. I found that as some answers were told more questions surfaced. Again, the author left us with too many questions left unanswered.

Now I simply cannot wait for the fifth book. In the meantime, I urge you to pick up UNBELIEVABLE, as it is simply impossible to put it down.

I have been waiting to find out who A is for the longest time ever. And if I hadn't watched the show before reading this book, finding out who A is would've been (pun intended) Unbelievable. But since I do watch the show...well, it wasn't that big of a surprise.

Hannah is in the hospital thanks to A who ran her over. Now she's struggling to remember, because she knew, who A was.

Spencer is freaking out because a memory of the night Ali disappeared she had suppressed has now resurfaced, making Spencer think the she was somehow responsible for Ali's death.

Emily is being sent away to the middle of nowhere to live with family just for dating Maya.

And Aria...well, let's just say things between her and Ezra haven't gotten any easier.

For a girl who almost never reads anything non-paranormal, I have to say, I am LOVING this series (both the books and the show)! It just has a lot of mystery, and the end was just so action-y and awesome!

Well, now we know who A is, but it seems like the girls are not out of the woods yet...who will A be this time??

Hanna is still in a coma in the beginning of the book and when she wakes up she can't remember anything about her accident or remember who "A" is. Her best friend ends up being someone bad and her mom tells her that she got a job in another sate and leaves Hanna the option to move with her, or move in with her dad and his fiance and her evil stepsister.
Aria who is my favorite in the series is dumped by Sean when he finds out she was with her teacher, Ezra. Ezra ends up getting fired and moving away. I am hoping that in the next book he comes back. Aria and her mom were still not talking in the beginning of the book so Aria lives with her dad and his girlfriend. After Aria and her brother start talking again, Aria tells him about "A" and he makes her tell the cops which puts her in danger. She also runs into Jenna at her art class and later in the book Jenna reveals that Alison and her had planned the whole Toby thing because of what Toby was doing to her. But Jenna wasn't supposed to get hurt like she did.
Spencer and her sister start to get along. Spencer debates through the whole book if she wants to tell the truth about the paper she stole from her sister to the people at the Golden Orchid award. She also finds out Alison had a thing with Ian which means Ian cheated on Spencer's sister.
And Emily is sent to Iowa to live with her Aunt and Uncle but her cousins get her in trouble which gets Emily sent back home. But while she was in Iowa she meets Trista. Who she has feelings for only to find out Trista fools around with anything in site and Emily ruins things with Maya because of Trista.

The answer is obviously not, as there are four more books in the series. When it was first put out this book was supposed to be the last, but the author agreed to put out more due to pressure from the publisher. (Thanks publishers!)

The now not so fab four have all new problems on their hands. Emily has been sent out to the country, only to find that her problems will follow her wherever she goes. Hanna's still in a coma, but will she still remember A's identity when she wakes up? Aria's trying to piece not only her life together, but also the pieces to the enigma that is A. Meanwhile Spencer still hasn't learned her lessons about cheating or forbidden fruit- lucky for her, A is an ever patient tutor in those matters...

I liked this book for the most part. I agree with many reviewers who felt that A's identity seemed a bit rushed & anti-climactic, so I was relieved that there were 4 more books in the series. This means that while you know who was A, there was undoubtedly someone in the back pulling the strings ensuring that "A" discovered the right secrets and sent the right texts. That being said, I was glad to finally see the humanity in many of the families. The whole "mean, ruthless, and competitive" thing made for good reading for a while, but it wasn't entirely believable that everyone would turn their backs on their kids. Whether that will continue into the next book is anyone's guess, but it was still nice to see that some of the parents really cared for their kids' well being.

4.9/5

I have been following this series ever since I read the first book, and admittedly, I've read all of the books several times, trying to figure out the identity of "a"/Ali's killer, and hadn't figured it out, no matter how hard I tried to put all the clues together, because the author does an excellent job of throwing you off. That is the thing I love most about these books, the fact that it keeps you in suspense from start till finish, as the author adds more and more to the storyline. So of course, I eagerly awaited the release of novel #4, and was happy to see that this one was the most suspenseful one yet. I finished this one a few hours after having purchased it, literally not being able to put it down. So many new details and secrets are revealed, one having to do with the "accident" that the main characters had been keeping a secret for years. I never in a million years would have guessed the thing that the character of Jenna revealed in this book!

There were only two things disappointing about this book. #1 was the identity of the mysterious "A" being revealed. Now obviously I had already known that this book would finally reveal who it was, but about mid-way through the book, I easily figured out who it was, despite the fact that the author cleverly tries to throw you off, but fails to do so. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out, I mean come on!

The second disappointing thing was the identity of Ali's supposed killer. Now hopefully this isn't the actual person, because if it is, the motive that ****** had to do so was seriously lame, and would definitely lower my standards of this book series.

The book also leaves you with more questions than answers, especially the ending, so if you thought that this was the conclusion, you are definitely wrong because there are still many, many loose ends that need to be tied up. One huge question still remains: is Ali actually dead?

All in all, it was definitely a good book, and I obviously can't wait for the 5th one to be released. Hopefully it will wrap everything up once and for all!

Once upon a time, there were five little girls. These little girls were very different, but they still became friends. Best friends forever . . . or so they thought. One night in middle school, after a slumber party, one little girl - Alison, the most manipulative and controlling of the group - disappeared, and the four girls who were left behind - Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer - became Pretty Little Liars. Years later, as they approach the end of high school, Alison's body is finally found - and someone's stalking her old friends, leaving them messages and threatening to reveal their darkest secrets.

Unbelievable picks up just where Perfect, the previous book, left off - at the scene of an "accident" that left one of the girls with life-threatening injuries - and just keeps going from there. There's never a dull moment in this book. Hanna is immediately taken to the hospital. Emily is shipped off to Iowa to live with her prim aunt, uncle, and cousins. Spencer is shocked to find her cheating not only accepted but encouraged by her parents. Aria takes up a new art class, where she sees a familiar face. All the while, A keeps sending the girls messages. Before the book is through, the girls learn the identity of A - with devastating consequences.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: This could have been yet another series about vapid girls with money to burn, but instead, it's a dark mystery with unexpected depth and weight to it. Unbelievable is the fourth book in the Pretty Little Liars series, and it is just as addictive as the previous books in the line. Brimming with secrets and lies, Pretty Little Liars is definitely a guilty pleasure. Enjoy!

Unbelievable picks up where Perfect left off: moments after Hanna's accident. While her friends and family pace the hospital's waiting room to learn Hanna's fate, "A" continues to threaten each girl. Emily is sent to live with her cousins after her parents learn she kissed the new girl, Maya. Little does Emily (or her parents) know that her cousins aren't so innocent and have issues of their own. Meanwhile, Aria is trying to cope with her parents' imminent divorce. Just recently broken up with her boyfriend, Sean, Aria has no place to live. She's forced into moving in with her father and his mistress and isn't thrilled to hear their latest news. Spencer is up for the Golden Orchid award. . . something she has always dreamed about. The only problem is she plagiarized her sister's paper. When she learns she made the finals, will she come clean and confession or will "A" out her? Hanna is in the hospital recovering from her accident. She doesn't remember the events of that fateful evening, although pieces of memories flood her mind.

Unbelievable finally reveals "A's" identity and the motive behind the threats and texts. As each girl begins to remember their past friendship with Ali, each slowly realizes that Ali just wasn't the sweet, innocent girl everyone loved. Ali kept secrets of her own. . . secrets that could have killed her.

I figured out "A's" identity after reading book 2: Flawless, however after reading the last chapter in Unbelievable, I just can't help but to wonder is there more to "A" and these four former best friends. I mean, the series isn't finished yet. . .

Call me a fan! I have fallen even deeper into this series and with each book, I can't wait to find out more clues to eithe confirm or deny my guesses. I think I could be close, but really I have no clue and I love it.

The writing has been so addictive. It is easy to slip into the story after reading a book between and I found myself immersed in the hunt for A and the killer. With each book, I hope to be closer and then at the end I find myself no closer, yet no further away from the truth. As stated before, there is some repetitiveness to each book because as the story develops Shepard repeats clues from previous books, but it can be easily bypassed.

As I still haven't started watching the series, I am intrigued as to how close to the characters they follow and if the intricacies of the story are apparent on screen. Maybe a show I will check out soon, but I definitely want to complete my reading before I begin my viewing.

I think this series can be enjoyed by all ages as the mystery is the heart of the story. As they are high schoolers, the drama is obviously at that level, but I don't think the story is any lower due to their ages.

**Spoilers from previous books*

Finally, some damn answers! Not all of them of course because there are 4 more books in the series but enough to briefly satisfy. I love how in Unbelievable Emily is shipping off to live with relatives (because her family is basically appalled by her, nice ones they are). I wondered how that would work, how she could still be part of the story but she really still was. I think in the previous book and a bit in this one, the "Rosewood Stalker" is mentioned a lot and then fizzles out, I wish that plotline would have turned into something more. In the end it just got roped into something else.

The aftermath of Hanna's hit and run leaves her with some gaps in her memory. That plotline in Perfect was INSANE! I was freaking out when I was reading it. Along with Perfect, this book really ramps up the plot, you know you are so close to answers you just have to keep going and going!

A few red herrings were in place to help the revelation of A (yes we finally get to find out!) more surprising. But honestly my suspicions about who A was from earlier in the book were proven right so for me nothing too shocking, but I was glad to finally know and know WHY!

So while this book wraps up one mystery it leaves open another and there is far far more to come!

This is the fourth book to the Pretty Little Liars series. Hanna is now in a coma after ~A hit her with a car because she knew too much. Emily is sent to live in Iowa with her aunt and uncles because she is gay. But she doesn't stay there long after her relatives find out she snuck out with her other cousins, she runs away and returns to Rosewood once her parents apologize and promises they won't send her back. Ian, Melissa's Ex-boyfriend is convicted for killing Allison.

I am a loyal Pretty Little Liars fan, and I have anticipated the release of Unbelievable, but now after I have finished the book, I feel a little dissapointed. The writing was just as great as the first three books, so descriptive and such vivid language, but the plot wasn't as great. The first few chapters were EXCELLENT, they were just as I had anticipated, it started off where Perfect left off. But then it started to go downhill, once one character started to be too nice and concerned, it was pretty obvious about who A was. I also felt that one of the four girl's reaction to A's identity and fate was very innaproprate. Also, I was angry that Ms. Shepard made Hanna so superficial in this book, in the other books, she came across superficial, but not overly, just like how every other girl is, but in this book, it just went over the top. I also felt that this book was mainly Aria and A's story, even though you didn't know A's identity from the beginning, it focused a lot on him/her. The ending was very fuzzy and it made many half-questions, and one HUGE question at the end. I feel though, that it is partly the publisher's fault for this slightly dissapointing fourth book. If the series was not extended to eight books, Unbelievable would probably be much more satisfying, instead of having to try to make more plotlines and having a half-openended ending.

Teen girls everywhere read the books or follow the TV show about four girls named Hannah, Aria, Spencer and Emily who have to deal with the loss of their best friend as well as gaining the biggest threat of their lives. This television/book series is called Pretty Little Liars. The story plot is full of Mysterious events that leave you trusting nobody but rooting for all of them at the same time. Sara Shepard, the author does a great job of reaching out and speaking to her targeted audience differently through each and every one of her characters. Along with all of these components, she very clearly illustrates the theme throughout the whole book as well.

The Pretty Little Liars series is written in third person, and four different perspectives. The way the books are written create a specific knowledge and sympathy for each of the characters Sara Shepard writes about. The way that the story follows the seperate lives of four girls, but also focuses on the life they all share. In every chapter, The author gives away a little about the whole story and creates suspense in the secret stories of each girl. for example you might find out who A is in one chapter, but wait for three chapters to find out what happened with that character and her boyfriend.

In Unbelievable, the fourth in the series, Hannah, Aria, Spencer and Emily fall deeper into A's trap. A is the unidentified person with a mission to destroy these girls' lives, as she exposes them and their secrets, leaving them alone, terrified and defeated. But with nothing left to lose, they fight back harder than ever to finally give A what she deserves. Along the way, Spencer gets caught in a plagiarism scandal that drives a wedge farther between her and her sister. Aria ends up on the wrong side of her parents' divorce and ends up losing one of them. Emily goes through many hardships trying to figure out who she is. And Hannah loses her best friend. All of this would be enough, but with A on their tails every step they take, these poor girls end up right in the middle of everything they were trying to avoid. Sara Shepard wrote these books to portray the lives of average teens everywhere. When you are a teenager, everything feels like the end of the world, whereas, in this book, they actually are. But, everybody can identify with something that one of these girls is going through. Wether it be divorce, cheating boyfriends, losing a friend, or simply feeling like you don't belong, she manages to cram anything and everything a normal teenager might be going through in their lives at any given time int one book, and she does it wonderfully. She reaches her target audience perfectly by creating relatable characters that her readers not only identify with, but care about as well. The theme in this book is more obvious than the title on the front page. If you haven't figured it out by now, the theme is karma. It shows up everywhere in the book. It's the driving force of the antagonist which makes it everything the girls are afraid of. Hannah, Aria, Spencer and Emily learn early on that all of their choices are followed by consequences. It doesn't matter if those consequences are natural, or brought on by A. But for the author to stay true to the theme, the embodiment of karma would eventually get hers as well.
Unbelievable was most definitely the best one of the series so far, with suprises at every turn. This may not be the most intelligent or deepest book around, but it's as fun as a roller coaster. I highly recommend reading this book,if you have read the previous three or not, this one is a lot of fun.

Finally, we get some answers. The identity of ~A is revealed as is Ali's killer. I'm not sure if I buy that he/she is Ali's killer though. I can see that possibly being brought up in another book. It doesn't make complete sense to me. As far as ~A goes I think that was awesome. I could totally buy who ~A ended up being. There was definitely reason for he/she to do it (in the warped mind of someone who would do something like that) but a couple of question marks too. This book, like all of the others so far, is full of suspense, shock and intrigue. I couldn't take my hands off of it. Some of the strained relationships between girls and their families start to heal and everything seems to be going back to normal.... or will it? There are more books to be read and it couldn't be wrapped up to perfectly, could it?

I gave it 3 star, because there are a lot of unanswered questions at the end.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

The doctor came out and said that Hanna was still unconscious and that they could see her soon. Aria is going to talk to Wilden about what she found out about Spencer. Wilden brings up Ezra and tells her that he is free. He says that they kept it hush-hush, unless she wanted to press charges, but he said that he has to tell her parents about it. Aria tells him that she doesn't want to press charges and to not tell her parents. She tells him that she thinks that she knows who killed Ali. Aria tells him that Ali was seeing Ian, Melissa's boyfriend at the time, at the time of her murder. She tells him that Spencer liked Ian too, that they had a fight on the night that Ali went missing, and that it took Spencer at least ten minutes to get back to the barn. Wilden pokes many holes in Aria's theory that Spencer killed Ali and he takes a tone talking to Aria for blaming a former friend with murder. At that, Wilden leaves her to go back to the waiting room. Aria thinks that `A' could be the murderer. Her father shows up at the hospital and they talk for awhile. Her father suggests for her to stay with him and Meredith since she was kicked out of her mother's house. Her father, however, gives her no choice in the matter. They had chicken noodle soup for supper, because Meredith has been having stomach problems. She learns that her dad has high-blood pressure and that Meredith has already started to act like her father's wife. Her father tells her that Meredith is offering to give her her free credit to take a class at the college where both her dad and Meredith work at. As soon as her father left the table, Meredith told her that she better get used to her father being with her, because as soon as the divorce papers go through her and her father will get married. Aria just received a text from Lucas saying that Hanna is now allowed to have visitors. Aria runs into Mike, who tells her that her and dad deserve each other. Aria arrived at Hanna's bedside. Lucas was at her bedside reading a Teen Vogue magazine to Hanna. Lucas and Aria talk about Hanna's condition. Spencer came to see Hanna, too and her and Aria talk. Aria arrived at her Mindless Art Class and took a seat. Someone took Aria's hand and started touching it doing the exercise the teacher wanted them to do. Aria felt the other person's hand and it reminded her of Ali. The teacher tells them to sketch the person that comes to their mind just by touching the person's hand. Aria started sketching Ali's face. She turned to face her partner, which happened to be Jenna. Aria runs into Meredith on the way to her art class. Aria introduces herself as Jessica to Jenna. This art class is going to be making masks of each other's faces and Jenna wants to do it with Aria. Aria says yes and Jenna says that she will do Aria's mask first. Jenna tells her that there was another person there too, but she won't tell who it was.

Current DLS: Thinks she killed Ali/Hurt her sister Melissa/Stolen Melissa's paper that turned her into a finalist for the Golden Orchid/

Spencer: She woke up with a nightmare that she had killed Hanna. Spencer is waiting to hear news about Hanna, but no one has called her yet. Spencer had also received the same text message as the other two girls. Spencer is starting to think the same thing as Aria that maybe `A' was the killer. Spencer went downstairs to have a meeting with her family. Her parents have decided that the girls shouldn't see Dr. Evans anymore, Spencer will continue with the Golden Orchid competition, and that the girls will have to bond. The family is going to go to the beach house for the girls to bond and try to be friends again. Spencer is at her grandmother's beach house with her family. Her parents tell her that they are going to the yacht club and that her and Melissa were staying here. Spencer yells that she'll be in her room all night. Mona calls Spencer to tell her that Hanna is in a coma. Mona wants Spencer to plan a candlelight vigil for Hanna and Spencer agrees to plan it for Friday. After Spence hung up, she started to hear someone or something tapping. She goes to Melissa and Melissa suggests that they go to the playroom, because that room offered a good view around the house. The noises turned out to be coming from a bird trapped in a pipe. They think about the memories of the past. Spencer apologizes to Melissa about stealing her paper and Melissa says that she's over it. Melissa talks about how her and Ian came her years ago on Senior Week. Spencer admits to kissing Ian, while Melissa was dating him and blurted out that it was nothing like the thing Ian and Ali had. She tells her that Ali told her. Melissa tells her that she knew all about that. Melissa also tells her that Spencer couldn't have killed Ali and that it takes a special person to kill and that wasn't Spencer. Spencer walks into her house and Wilden is interrogating Ian and Melissa. Spencer starts to back out of the room, when Melissa tells her that there is a letter for her on the table. Spencer pretends to go upstairs, then eavesdrops on Wilden's interrogation. Spencer begins to suspect that Melissa killed Ali. Spencer is meeting Mona to plan Hanna's welcome back masquerade party. Mona tells her that Melissa told her about Spencer being in the paper and Spencer is surprised that Melissa told Mona that. Spencer tells her that Hanna is lucky to have her as a friend, but Mona tells her that she's lucky that Hanna doesn't hate her. She tells Spencer that she was jealous, when Hanna started spending time with her and the other girls. (Mona doesn't let people see her changing, because she has cellulite on her gut! EW!) Mona tells Spencer that a guy is checking her out and that she should flash him. Spencer tells her that she'll do it, if Mona does it too. Mona gets the boys attention and Spencer and Mona flash them. Spencer and Mona laugh about it afterward. Mona confesses to Spencer that she has been getting weird test messages. Spencer tells them that they all have been getting them, too. Spencer is at her essay contest interview and Melissa asks her if she is nervous. Spencer is annoyed with Melissa ever since seeing Melissa's reaction to Wilden. Spencer walked into her suite and got changed for bed. Ian came into Spencer's room to talk or something. Spencer decides to grill Ian about the past and Melissa. Ian wanted to kiss Spencer, but Spencer didn't want to. Melissa knocks on Spencer's door asking if she has seen Ian and Spencer shoves Ian out the front door. Spencer does her interview. Melissa confronts Spencer at the party and `A' threatens Spencer. Mona pulls over, because Spencer can't bring her sister in. Mona convinces her and Mona drives towards the police station. Mona knows that they know that she's `A'.

Current DLS: Parents moved her to her aunt and uncle's after being seen with Maya/Goes out with her cousins in the middle of the night to party/Voted Most Likely to still be together at the 5-year reunion

Emily: She arrives at the airport and is shocked to have realized that she hadn't packed any underwear. Emily meets her aunt and uncle at the airport. On the two hour car drive to their house, her aunt and uncle didn't say a word. At least Emily still had her phone with her. Emily arrived at her new home, which looked pretty much like Amish country. A goat butted Emily and she screamed. Her aunt reprehended her for screaming like that. Tough aunt. Her aunt introduced her to her cousin Abby. Emily is going to have to share a room with Abby. Joy. Emily discovers that she was three new cousins. Wow, her relatives do get busy! Her cousins are also home schooled, which means that she will be too. Her aunt tells her that she has to take a special exam to see where she will be placed in her schooling and Em is freaked out about that part. She's a junior in high school taking some AP classes, but now she might get to a lower level because of her aunt's placing. Her aunt has taken away her cell phone. Now, she is totally cut off from the outside world. From Rosewood. Or is she? In the middle of the night, Abby came in and dressed for a night out and invited Em to her first night in Iowa. Dyson, who I guess is Abby's friend, picks up the four of them, Abby's older twin brothers, too, in his pickup and starts to drive away. He asks why Em is here and she tells him that her family sent her away. Her cousin Abby adds that she's a real badass, which makes Emily want to laugh out loud. Abby tells her that the ratio to guys and girls out here is four to one, so she'll definitely hook up to someone like Abby does. Em concludes that her cousins definitely don't know that she likes girls. This weird girl at the part asked Em if she could be any candy what would she be and Em figures out that the girl was flirting with her. The girl's name is Trista. They get to talking about way Emily was here in Iowa. OMG! They almost kissed! Emily told her that her parents sent her here, because she kissed a girl. Trista was totally into that, so that must mean that she likes girls, too. Em thinks about Maya and wonders if it counts as cheating to be with Trista. Em realized that `A' cannot touch her here and suddenly, she's happy about her little move to Iowa. When Emily woke up, her aunt was standing over her bed and she screamed. Her aunt tells her to go downstairs and she came downstairs. She saw her cousins eating cereal and asked if their was anything else to eat. Her aunt tells her that breakfast isn't her main concern right now and her aunt tells her that she knows what the four of them did last night. The cousins blame Emily for making them go to the party last night. Her aunt and uncle decide to call her parents and make them take her back, because they couldn't handle her. Emily packed her stuff and took her phone back. She walked down the stairs going to escape her family. Abby says it was her fault that they got caught and she also said that Trista was a slut. Emily let the chained goat escape and so did she. Emily is now in Ohio at a diner. Emily hears on the news that Hanna has awakened from her coma, but she also saw on the news that she is missing. Her family came on the screen saying that they want Em to come back home and that they love her. Em is going home. Emily's mom picked her up at the station and drove her to the hospital to see Hanna. Her mom tells her that they were wrong for sending her away and that they as a family is going to try to live with Em's decisions even though, they may not like it. Emily walks into Hanna's room and sees that Aria and Spencer are there too. Spencer grills Hanna about 'A' trying to jog her memory, but she just brings Hanna to frustrated tears. Hanna asks them if they still would want Ali around now that they know all the secrets that Ali had kept from them and how they know now that she was basically a bitch. Em says that they would still want her here, but only Spencer said that she wouldn't want her dead and Aria agreed. After some silence, Em, Aria and Spencer leave Hanna's room. When they get outside, they get a message from `A' to stop digging for answers or `A' would have to erase their memory, too. Em notices that `A' is the same person, who wrote `Kisses!' on Hanna's cast. Mike and other guys welcome her back to Rosewood at Gym. Maya snuck out to gym to see Emily. Maya and Emily plan to go to Hanna's party together. Maya tells her excitedly that they made this year's best couple. Em gets a test from Trista. Em waits for her family to arrive at the restaurant. Emily sees Jason, Ali's brother, on the news. Emily gets another text from Trista and Emily answers back. Em receives a note from `A' reminding her to keep quiet. Em believes that Maya is `A'. Maya makes a comment about on of the pics not looking like Ali. Trista came to visit. Catfight! Trista goes to the party with Em. Em finds out that Aria told the cops about `A'. The girls get together at the party and talk about `A', except Aria wasn't there.

Current DLS: In a coma after an SUV hit her for knowing too much/Out of the coma and can't remember anything about that night/

Hanna: In her mind, Hanna feels totally perfect for once in her pretty little life. Hanna is in a memory back in the 7th grade, when Ali was still alive. Hanna tries to talk to Ali in her dream, but Ali didn't respond to her. No matter what she did, her friends and Ali didn't respond to her. It was like they couldn't hear her. Hanna realized that she could change the future, if only her friends would listen to her. Finally, Ali responds to Hanna's words and tells her to relax. With that, Hanna came out of her coma and then went back into it. Hanna's mind revisit's the same event again. Some far-off voice asks if Hanna is talking, but Hanna doesn't know who that voice belongs to. She heard the voice again and it sounded like Mona's voice. Hanna wakes up out of her coma. Hanna doesn't know where she is and is very confused. Hanna doesn't remember anything about the accident or Mona's party. Hanna has seen her reflection and is a little depressed about it, because she won't be able to wear low-cut tops for awhile. She also plans to go to Bill Beach to erase the damage done to her skin. Hanna has made her dad do a lot of things for her, which she deemed necessary. Hanna is happy that she lost some weight by being in the hospital. Spencer and Aria come to visit her, but Hanna is still a little pissed at Aria for stealing Sean away from her. Aria tells her that Sean and her broke up, but won't tell her why. They tell her that they were all there at her accident and that she knew who `A' was. Hanna tells them about her dream about Ali. Mona walks in on them and Hanna is happy to see her. Mona tells her about the vigil that they were going to have for her. Hanna suggests a welcome back party and Mona agrees. Hanna asks about Mona's party, but Mona doesn't answer her. Hanna suggests a masquerade, since she doesn't look her best. Mona and Hanna squeal about the ah-mazing party that they are going to have. Four boys came into her room including Sean, when Lucas arrived with a flowers. Hanna decided that she really like Lucas, although she doesn't know why he hangs around her so much. The boys ask her a lot of different stupid questions. Mona comes in, exactly when Noel asked Hanna what was up with her and Mona. Mona came to make party plans with Hanna, but Hanna wants to know what the fight was about. Mona said it was about the other two girls and Mona apologized about them being in their inner circle for awhile. They go back to making party plans. Mona brought a mask for Hanna to wear at the party. Lucas tells her that she's beautiful without the mask and Mona and Lucas stare frostily at each other. Mona and the other boys left leaving Lucas and Hanna together, alone. Lucas says that Wilden didn't think it was an accident and Hanna's mind closes up every time she thinks that 'A' tried to kill her. Lucas kisses her and realizes that she doesn't remember them kissing before. He leaves in a hurry leaving Hanna stunned. Hanna is home from the hospital. Mona and Hanna's old friends came over her house and Hanna was nervous. Spencer tells the other girls that Mona is getting texts from `A' as well. All the girls discuss `A'. Mona receives a note from `A' and everyone reads it. It's about the fight Mona had with Hanna. Mona still doesn't tell Hanna the whole thing, but all the girls agree that fighting is what `A' wants. Hanna has a weird dream about Ali again. Lucas comes to visit her. They kiss. Hanna's dad is going to her party. Hanna meets Lucas at the party and they kiss. Mona tells Hanna that Lucas is only her friend, because he was trying to get back at Mona for dumping him. Hanna remembers what happened at Mona's party. Hanna and Em confront Aria, when she arrives and Aria tells what Jenna told her. Hanna remembers who `A' was......MONA!

A: Mona is such a bitch! I know she is `A'! Guess what?! Mona has found the perfect way to prevent the girls from knowing that she's `A'! She decided to tell them that she has been getting messages from `A', too! Whose the smarty now? She hurt Hanna so bad! I think Melissa killed Ali, though, because Ali was dating Ian when Melissa was. I think Ali might have had a twin. How could she be nice one moment and the next be cruel? If she had a twin, that could be the answer. Also, Maya said one of the Ali photos didn't look like her, so maybe it was her twin. Maybe, it's her twin that died and Ali is `A'. HAHA! I WAS RIGHT! MONA IS `A'! AND IAN KILLED ALI! OMG!

This series is so unpredictable. With all of the twists and turns, I never know what is going to happen. The ending was epic.

This is probably my favorite book in the series so far. So many things happened. I loved all of the action that this book had. It was even thrilling at times and definitely exciting from beginning to end. I especially loved the fact that this is the book where we find out who 'A' is! Finally! I have been wanting to know the identity of 'A' since I started reading this series. I honestly had no idea who 'A' was, but once you know who it is it all makes perfect sense.

Although we now know who 'A' is, I have a feeling that there will be a new 'A' in town come next book. I am looking forward to reading the next book and seeing where this series goes.

This book was amazing. Sara shepard definitely knows how to keep you in suspense. I am so glad that there are four more books after this one. I can't get enough of this series. The ending was unexpected. Even with A being revealed, you still can't help but wonder who else may be involved. There are also many more secrets to be revealed. The characters also start dusting off memories that they have tried so hard to forget. They then start realizing that these memories are all part of A bigger puzzle. I highly recommend reading this book if you are into suspense. You might want to have book five on hand to get started immediately after you finish this book. I have been plowing through these books. I can't put them down.

Five best friends did everything together. The five friends were Ali, Emily, Spencer, Aria, and Hanna. Everywhere you look, you see them together. That all changed the night when Ali disappeared. After she disappeared, they didn't even talk to each other. Four years later, they all start to get messages from this person named A. This person knows all of their secrets and she doesn't want to keep them.At first, the girls thought it was Ali, but a few weeks later, Ali was found dead. Who is A? This is one of the best books that I have ever read. The mystery of A eats you live. It is a fascinating book. It is so detailed that you can picture everything in your mind. Once you start reading this book, you can not stop reading.

I can't believe someone so close to Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer could really be doing this. A's identidy is really unexpected, just one of those characters you overlook but its how she knows all those things about the girls that the past 3 books in this series started to make since. Ali's killer is also a shocker and even though they say it was this , I'm not so sure. In this 4th book in this suspenseful series you find A's true identity and then she ****, you learn the truth about Jenna C., you learn Ali's killer, and your continued to Wicked the next book in the series. With Perfect endeing in such a suspensful heart wrenching way, I couldn't wait to pick up Unbeliveable and solve this mess but honestly, the mess only gets bigger...

This wonderful book fits it's title. The book is definitely UNBELIEVABLE. The girls have all sorts of drama going on in their lives but then again when do they not. Hanna, the fashionista of the group, is trying to recover from her brutal hit by "A". With bruises on her face Hanna isn't her-fun bubbly-self. Emily, our favorite sporty chick, is shipped off to Iowa to live with her strict aunt and uncle because she decided to show her true colors but that doesn't work so well jeopardizing her relationship with Maya. Aria ,the most creative one, breaks up with her boyfriend Sean and her teacher she's in love with gives her some shocking news which forces her to move in with her cheating father and his artistic, young girlfriend. Spencer our ,preppy perfectionist, is trying to get a Golden Orchid award for an essay she submitted in economic class, with one catch, it's not her essay. She's feeling lot's of guilt for what she has done can she accomplish her goal without giving up?

To top off this already dramatic book "A" refuses to give the girl's a break. They even let someone else join their group of people being targeted by "A". The only thing you need to know about this book is that the "eye's could be deceiving".I suggest you read this book when you have plenty of time to waste because you won't take your eyes off this book.

Surely, surely this isn't *it*. After four longish and suspenseful books, the revelations in the last pages of this book are just a let-down. And in fact, although we were lead to think that this would be the end, I'm not sure that it is. Yes, we know who "A" was. But do we know what happened to Ali, really? I don't believe that we do. And there are quite a few other things we don't know, when we start to think about it. I think that the reason this ending fizzles out is that there will be a fifth book, possibly very different in character from the first four, probably revolving around the trial of *****, the person accused of killing Ali. What will come out at that trial? What will *****'s defense be? This could be quite interesting. I don't believe that Sara Shepard has finished tantalizing us yet.

Sara Shepard is a really good writer who wrote vivid characters that you care about and want to read more of. The mystery of who is A and who killed their best friend Ali DiLaurentes in the seventh grade is a suspenseful, adventurous ride. There's lots of twists to the story that you don't expect. Can't wait to read more in the series.

Overall, this is a good series. Unbelievable was very suspensful, and it had me rethinking who i thought "A" was countless times throughout.
However, when i did find out who "A" was I was a little disappointed. Things just didn't add up for me. I was expecting a better reason for why "A" was torturing them, and the ending seemed abrupt.
I was also a little confused with who Ali's killer turned out to be. It was certainly someone i did not expect, and to be honest, i still don't see his/her motive. i hope these things will be cleared up in Wicked!
Finally, I don't see how the new "A" is going to come into play, and I think that part was an after thought considering Unbelievable was originally going to be the last book.
Despite my criticism, if you have read the first three books you must read this one as well to discover "A"'s identity and to learn Ali's killer!

I am a 12 year old who is insanely in love with these books. Emily Fields, Ali DiLaurentis, Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, and Spencer Hastings have their annual 6th grade sleep over and Tony Cavanaugh, the freaky black cat person of Rosewood had been peeking through the window and when he sees them in their lingerie, Ali decides to get him back by setting off a firework. The fire goes through he window and blinds Toby's cousin Jenna. Now in High School, the girls reunite to the memorial service of Ali DiLaurentis, whos body was found in the halfway finished gazebo of Mr and Mrs DiLauretis. Now the girls are recieving taunting notes by a mysterious person named ~A. Rea the amazng Series to find out what happens next to Emily, Spencer, Aria, and Hanna.

I've been patting myself on the back ever since I finished reading this. The week leading up to its release, I re-read the other 3 books, going chapter by chapter jotting down possible suspects, possible motives, and clues, and was thrilled when I correctly guessed who A was. Which is not to say it was easy, the author threw a lot of curve balls. And while a lot of questions get answered in this book, even more get raised. I cannot wait for Book #5. Hurry up, Miss Shepard!

I liked this one as much as the other books in the series. But I'm curious how the rest of the series is going to go since we find out everything (I think) in this book, including who A is and who the murderer is. Still 4 books to go too!

Being an avid fan of the previous three books, I eagerly awaited "Unbelievable." When I finally got it, I devoured the book in one day!

Ms. Shepard's writing is excellent like always, and there are plenty of plot twists to keep you reading til the end. I thought I had figured out who A was several times in the beginning, but none of those theories were correct.

That being said, I figured out who A was right before the girls did, so that reveal wasn't as shocking as I hoped. However, the ending pages were filled with unresolved storylines and plot twists that left me on the edge of my seat.

I would definitely recommend this book, and the whole series, to anyone.

I was very disapionted in this book. The plot was incredible and Ms. Shepard had written 3 and half incredible, cliffhanger, intense books, when she started to go downhill. The plot was great, and even the identities of A and Ali's killer were good. The execution however, could have been loads better. From the writing style in previous books, when the path clearly led to a character, you could assume it was not the way it appeared. However, at the end of the book, A was not revealed in a mindblowing way, it was led up to and was very vague, and there was no, WOW moment. Same with Ali's killer. It never even clarifies if the killer has truly been apprehended

If you have read the first three books, then this is obviosly a must read, but don't get your hopes up too high
