Britt has watched all of her friends find love, but is having a terrible time finding it herself so she's frustrated enough to ask her best friend, Hunter, to help her with dating tips. At first, he doesn't want to do it, but finally agrees. As she tries to learn how to make guys look at her more than a friend, she finds a chemistry with Hunter, and it scares her. Hunter always knew that he was going to go back home to help with the family business, and that's why he won't put time in a relationship, but he's also feeling things for Brit that has him spooked. Will these two ever admit to what all their friends have seen for a long time? I Think I Love You was a sweet friends to lovers story that I enjoyed. I'm not going to lie, the push & pull was almost to frustrating, but it kept me turning the pages quickly to see how it all panned out. Hunter & Brit were perfect for each other, and their chemistry was HOT, finally leading to that whole hookup that lit the sheets on fire during sexy times. And the cast of secondaries were colorful, and added a humor factor that had me laughing. Finally, there was a twist that came out of nowhere, which had me dropping an f-bomb or two, which added to the drama in big ways. Lauren Layne, with her talented writing style, penned a story that was a sweet & fun journey. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Lauren Layne and her Oxford men are just hot, sexy and in some case clueless when it comes to women. The attraction between Hunter and Brit is sweet, thoughtful yet when it comes to what's really between them is hot. I loved that Brit is a strong woman yet we see a side of her that just wants to be loved. Hunter has always been there and boy when he helps out he helps in a way he never knew was missing from his life. All in all this was another great story in this series cannot wait to see what comes next in the Oxford series.

As always, Lauren Layne nails the rom com category. I really enjoyed this best friends to lovers romance. I could feel the connection between Brit and Hunter as friends and then even more so as they became more. For me friends to lovers, especially best friends, is really hard to make believable, but I was fully invested in this. Lauren's books always read like movies to me and I think that's why I love them so much. They're the perfect length and pack enough tension and heat to keep me engaged for the entire book. I Think I Love You was no exception. I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but I look forward to whatever gems Lauren has in store for her readers next.

I like Lauren Layne's light-hearted writing and she screwed up the Stiletto and Oxford series with I Think I Love You. Bringing the characters from the previous books to add an extra spice to the plot.
This time, it shows the story of the inseparable friends Brit and Hunter. She does not know the reason why she doesn't get a boyfriend and up asking her friend to help her with the seduction games and interpret the masculine signs of interest.
He finds the idea absurd at first, but when he imagines the risks that his friend can take in launching herself into this male world, he ends up accepting to help her.
But as they get closer, they realize that the heart and body are getting too involved in classes and are beginning to face the dilemmas of wanting to get involved with each other and not being reciprocated.
In a fun and dynamic way, the couple will gradually discover how special they really are for each other.
I liked the way she managed to make me feel every moment of connection and tension between them, I was stuck reading happily and I love to feel a little nostalgia at the epilogue.

I really enjoyed this book. This story follows Brit and Hunter who are BFFs. Brit wants to know why she gets relegated to friend material by the guys she dates. She is looking to change this and enlists the help of her friend, Hunter. Brutal honesty and hilarity ensues. The author does a great job of developing both main characters and peripheral/supporting characters. The budding romance is believable and I found myself cheering on Brit and Hunter. Overall this was a great read. It flowed nicely and I felt the ending wrapped up Brit and Hunter's story well. I would definitely recommend it to my girlfriends!

Brit and Hunter have been best friends for years. They are like brother and sister. Brit wants to meet the right guy and have him sweep her off her feet, however, it seems like every guy she dates, put her in the friend zone after a few weeks. She needs to get her sexy on and who better to show her than her best friend. Hunter never lacks for a date, he’s good looking with a Hot body. At first he is against Brit’s idea, but then when he thinks about it, who better to teach her the art of seduction than her best friend. Why is it that all of a sudden, Hunter is getting these feelings of jealousy when he imagines Brit on a date with another guy.
Brit doesn’t understand these warm feelings when she’s around Hunter. What’s up with that, he’s her best friend. As their lessons get more intense, Brit is afraid they might cross a line that they won’t be able to navigate back from. Can two best friends become so much more.
I loved this book, it was sexy and funny, plus I loved the ending.

This is a hilarious, cute and well-written romance. Brit Robbins wants to land herself a man and she enlists the help of her best-friend, Hunter. Hunter isn’t one to be surprised but when Brit requests he help her seduce a man he’s definitely surprised. He sets out to help Brit in her mission… only once he begins showing her how to seduce other men he realizes it’s not them he wants her using those powers on.
Best-friends to lovers is one of my favorite types of stories and one that I think doesn’t get done enough. This author does a brilliant job – Brit and Hunter are hilarious together both as friends and as a couple. Their banter back and forth had me in tears – Brit’s experiences with dating are priceless and Hunter having to deal with her disaster after disaster was both cute and endearing. This has been my favorite book in the Oxford series to date and I’m very excited to see where the author takes this series next!

I’ve loved every Lauren Layne story I’ve read and always eagerly waiting for the next. This story is the conclusion to her Oxford series and it was fun seeing all of the couples from this series which overlaps with the Sex, Love and Stiletto series.
Brit always seems to make friends with everyone but never has that special spark with anyone. So she asks her long-time friend and boss, Hunter, to teach her about the art of seduction. They’ve always been such close and platonic friends but Hunter is not prepared to help Brit in this way. As you can imagine, the fake dates and flirting start to lead to more and neither is prepared to potentially ruin their friendship.
This was a fast, flirty, sweet, funny, and quick read that I enjoyed although it wasn’t my favorite of the series and the end felt a little rushed. I love a friends-to-lovers story and enjoyed Brit and Hunter’s close friendship which eventually turned into more, although both initially resisted.

Brit is having troubles finding the one. She has guys ask her out but it never goes past the first date. She can’t seem to get out of the friend zone. With all of her friends getting married she just doesn’t understand what is wrong with her. So who better than to ask her help her to find someone other than her best friend Hunter. At first Hunter is like heck no but when he sees her flirting with a guy he doesn’t care for he changes his mind. But once they get started it awakens something in both of them that they never realized before. This book is a friends to lovers and it is really good. Book given to me by author on netgalley.

Sigh! What a great book! I absolutely loved Brit and Hunter’s story of friends to lovers. This was a slow burn, and all the better for it. The way both characters slowly began to feel their relationship shift felt genuine, and I loved how honest they were about their feelings. Their friendship was so much fun and I really enjoyed watching it grow and evolve into a great love. Sometimes you’re lucky enough to read a book that feels like it flows so smoothly, so effortlessly that you lose sense of time and place. This book did that for me. The author created a rich and interesting world and filled it with people that were fun to get to know. I haven’t read all the books in the Stilleto/Oxford series, but had no trouble keeping up with the various characters introduced. It just made me all the more eager to pick up the other titles and get to know them better. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read more from Lauren Layne.

Hunter and Brit have a very open relationship, Brit is like an open book, even those times where I'm sure Hunter wished she wasn't:
“Um, because my eggs are rotting?” she said, waving a palm in the general area of her midsection.
Hunter winced. “Oh God. Never mind.”
Does Hunter get jealous? No, not him, not at all, “forget the da*n mock-ups,” he snapped, turning back toward her and crossing his arms. “How about you tell me what the h*** you were doing fluttering your eyelashes at Bradley effing Calloway?” I loved this book, I fell in love with Hunter.

Everyone saw it coming but them. As Hunter's best friend, Brit knows all his tells and needs. Doing anything for him and putting him first comes naturally for her. Now is the moment to step up and be what she needs, a love coach. Brit is the perfect woman a man could want for a partner. The one men feel comfortable to be around and be themselves. The caring one among many other good qualities. But for some reason she is never considered girlfriend material and she expects her best friend can help change that. What they don't expect is the realization of how good they really are together. Maybe she has never been taken seriously because she hasn't found the right guy... Maybe it's better to apply what she has learned with a familiar instead of a stranger, since practice makes perfect. One thing is for sure, they both need to put everything on the line and risk a friendship in other to have something a lot better.

My Thoughts:
Brit is tired of always being the Friend, she wants more but is not sure how to go about getting it. So she turned to her best friend Hunter to help her figure out how to be more appealing to men. He is hesitant at first but finally gives in when she starts to make reckless decision. But during their "training" they are both surprised when confronted by their feelings for each other, more than platonic. Finally they decide to act on those feelings only to second guess themselves.
This is a fun story of 2 people looking for something that has been right in front of them all along. You get to follow them on their journey of discovery and enjoy the fun along the way.
My Rating:
I give this book 4 stars. While it was witty and fun, it left me wanting more. I did like the story but it was a little predictable, would have loved a little more mystery. But overall a great read!

Brit and Hunter have been friends for years but when Brit asks Hunter to be her seduction coach, their dynamic slowly changes. Both start to realize how important the other is in their life. I loved getting to see the Stiletto and Oxford friends, I mean characters! These people are so real and having them all together again was awesome!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I discovered Lauren Layne last year and have been making my way through her books. I haven't read any of the other Oxford series books and I not only had no problem reading this one but now I'm dying to go back and read the others.
I loved Brit and Hunter's relationship both before and after they start dating. They were just so much fun to watch together and they're so comfortable with each other. You know they're going to get together eventually but it's still such a pleasure to watch them become aware of each other in that way. As you find in Lauren Layne's other books it's full of her trademark humor and the other characters are a lot of fun too. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife and the ending is oh so satisfying. Definitely another winner from Lauren Layne!

Lesson in Love Backfires could be another title for I Think I Love You by Lauren Layne. It is a fun sassy read concerning two best friends. Both have reasons for not finding love in New York. One is unhappy with the situation, making plans to remedy that. Of course, best friend is involved, with the results being delightful.
Hunter Cross and Brit Robbins’ story is quick paced, but this actually works well since they have been friends before the story begins. It has planet of the sass that I associate with Ms. Layne’s writing, then turning serious suddenly. True contemporary romance with the young professional crowd.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lauren Layne is one of my favorite authors and Oxford is one of my favorite series, so it comes as NO surprise that I absolutely adore I Think I love You. It’s a smart and sexy friends-to-lovers romance that delivers all of the feels, and I couldn’t get enough of Hunter and Brit. They are incredibly endearing - as individuals, friends and lovers - and their relationship is a captivating slow-burn journey infused with heady sexual tension. It’s also believable, which is sometimes hard to achieve in a friends-to-lovers story. While I am sad to say goodbye to all of my friends in the Oxford and Stiletto series, I can’t wait to see what Lauren Layne has in store for us next!

This book was interesting because it discussed that age old assumption that best friends make the best partners/suiters. I liked that this discussed both the good the bad and the ugly of when you decide to tightrope along the boundaries of the relationship.
I thought this book was good because both Brit and Hunter were great characters. Hunter was great because he knew all the moves and hey I guess sharing is caring right? Brit was great because she had a problem many women face...she is trying to get out of the friend zone and into the forever zone! Will they succeed in their new teacher and student relationship? Read and find out!

Lauren Layne has written a wonderful story of Brit Robbins and Hunter Cross to end the Oxford series with a bang! Who else could Britt ask for help in finding “the one” but her best friend and boss, Hunter. Hunter after all is a ladies’ man and can help Brit feel more attractive and approachable instead of every guys’ best girl. What happens is a charming story that takes a terrible event to see that they are more than just besties and they can’t let each other go.

*Horrible admission, I saw this pop up as a possible advanced copy I could review and I read the author name wrong. Jumped on it thinking it was a different author. Thank goodness for my stupidity! I loved it! Hunter and Brit make the best friends. Completely comfortable around each other. Then things change. In a very amazing great way. Another perk of my stupidity, it's the end of a series. I now have a a whole lot of books I get to go look up and read. Score!

This was a really good read! The writing flowed well, and hooked me from the start. I love a friends to lovers romance, and this one did not disappoint! Hunter and Brit were great together, and their chemistry was hot! This was my first book in this series, so there were a lot of names mentioned that got a little bit confusing when they were all together, but for the most part wasn't a problem. I enjoyed Hunter and Brit's journey, and the love that they clearly had for one another evolve into something more. It definitely makes me want to go and read the rest of this series.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I came into this book with something of a handicap. I read the Oxford series but not the Stilleto one, so since this is a wrap-up of both connected series, I was spending some time trying to remember who everyone was and skipping past the couples whose stories I had not read. Everyone is so broadly sketched though that it's not really a problem.
The premise of this story is one that should be relatable for many readers. A "friends to lovers" plot and a heroine who consistently finds herself in the friend zone is something that most people have experienced. Brit was so lovely and so focused on making sure those around her were comfortable that the spark and frisson of romantic attachment kept passing her by. She hires her best friend Hunter to be her "Cyrano" and teach her how to move out of the friend zone. The dating practice, of course, ends up snaring them both.
Hunter only really notices Brit romantically when his jealousy kicks in and this made me wonder why now? Everyone in their circle of friends has been waiting for Hunter to realize Brit is the one, but he's really slow to get there. I felt like Brit was far more in love with him than he was with her.
That's gotta hurt later.
But they have a nice rapport and push and pull with each other. It was worth it to see all the happy endings amongst the couples of the series, even if the two mains felt a bit flat.
3.5 and a pleasant conclusion to the series.

HOW??? I ask you HOW does Lauren Layne do it?? Every.single.time. The Oxford & Stiletto series was absolute magic and the final in the series didn't disappoint and ended on a high note. Yes, I'm distraught that they've ended...but wow, what a way to go.
Yes, I must admit, I'm a huge fan of the "best friends to lovers" scenarios. It just pushes my buttons. "I Think I Love You" was just spot on! I look forward to her 21 Wall Street series! If they're as good as the Oxford & Stiletto

What a wonderful way to end this incredible series! Brit and Hunter made this slow burning, friends to lovers story impossible to put down. From slapping your forehead at their obvious denial to cheering their finally giving in, their story was full of witty dialogue, steamy chemistry, and deep emotion. I’m sad to see the Stiletto/Oxford series end but it was really a perfect ending.

Britt and Hunter have been best friends for years. He is also her boss. She needs him to show her how to keep a boyfriend without being put in the friendzone. Hunter hesitates, so she takes it elsewhere but he doesn't understand why he can't let another guy help her. So they explore, he teaches, he also can't fight his attraction to her, they both can't, so they start exploring each other. I liked this story, I enjoyed Hunter figuring out his feelings for his best friend. They are really cute together. I liked seeing the other characters from the other books in Oxford 5.

This is the fifth book in the Oxford Novel Series. It's located in NYC and features best friends Brit and Hunter. Brit hasn't been lucky in the world of men so she convinces her BBF and boss, Hunter to teach her the art of seducing men. He prooves to be an excellent teacher and it's not long before they progress from friends to friends with benefits and then more. A cute book with lots of sexy scenes and explosive chemistry. Another great addition to the Oxford and Stilleto series. I have looked forward to reading every new addition to the series so you can only imagine how excited I was to get an advanced copy of “I Think I Love You”. I loved the story of Britt and Hunter. I have been waiting for something to happen between the two of them and this story didn’t disappoint. The had such a deep connection. I loved how well they knew each other and how comfortable they were together. When Hunter agreed to teach Britt how to get guys to like her more than just as a friend, I didn’t see how Hunter would be able to teach her how to be and feel sexy and then use it on someone else. It took them awhile to realize that the reason that neither of them had long term relationships was because they were meant for each other. When Britt fought to make Hunter understand that when you love someone you are willing to do anything for them, it melted my heart. I absolutely recommend this book! Read the entire series.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Random House/Loveswept for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I believe this is number 3 in the Oxford Series, but it reads well as a stand alone. This is a friend's to lovers romance. Brit and Hunters story. She asks him to teach her how to seduce a man! Then the craziness begins. This is a quick, fun read. I didn't buy into the story, but it was still an easy fun read. I rate it a 4. I think most romance readers would enjoy.

I freaking love this series and really sorry to see it end but as with all good things we knew it had to come to a conclusion at some point. This was a good one to wrap it up and all the secondary characters from previous books have come back for cameos throughout the book. Brit Robbins is finding it hard to find a man or at least a man who will stick. She turns to her best friend and boss, Hunter Cross, for help as her "love coach" to teach her how to date and the art of seduction. The only problem with that is the teaching takes a turn and who is seducing who and is it for real and are the feelings for real? It was so fun to watch these two circle each other and figure out how to make it work. Definitely a fun and satisfying read and this can be read as a standalone.

Hunter and Brit are best friends and have never felt any interest towards the other, but when fake dates and pretend flirting start to awaken new feelings in them, they need to figure out their new relationship status.
I think I love you was a double bonus with friends to lovers and boss and employee romance. Loved the pre and post dynamics of Brit and Hunters relation.

Hunter Cross is Brit Robbins’s boss at Oxford in I Think I Love You. She falls into the friend zone with every guy she dates. Everyone around her is in a relationship. And, she wants her turn. Kind of out of desperation, she asks her best friend and boss, Hunter, to tutor her in how to find the one. He is a ladies man. Interestingly, the movie Hitch comes up a few times as he begins to help her.
Brit and Hunter have done everything together, innocent sleep overs, watched the other leave a party with what might be a hookup, share coffee, share meals, etc. All of a sudden Brit seems to change right before Hunter’s eyes. There are things about her he never really saw. Once they both realize their relationship is changing, Hunter believes they can have sex and friendship. Brit is not so sure. She worries it will change their friendship and working relationship.
Unfortunately for them, nothing at Oxford or Stiletto is really private. Everyone knows your business and kind of weigh in on it. Before the changes even began, the ‘gang’ gave their opinions about Hunter being Brit’s ‘love coach.’ The changes that occur from the coaching have a huge affect on each of them, individually and as a couple. Their HEA is a little bit of a rough road.
One of the elements of Lauren Layne books is that she has a whole community in New York City who all know each other, fall in love with each other and support each other. Of course, they are all gorgeous, male and female. When they have dinners or parties, you get to reacquaint your self with old friends. It adds to feeling like you walked into their lives.
Hunter and Brit are so good at being platonic best friends that there couldn’t possibly be any romantic feelings between them, right?
Brit is convinced that Hunter is the perfect person to teach her how to be a girlfriend and not just a friend. What starts out as a simple agreement, could possibly be the best thing either one of them has ever know. Or it could completely blow up in their faces.
5 stars for this awesome friends-to-lovers romance!!

In this final installment to author Lauren Layne's Oxford Series, "I Think I Love You" is a friends-to-lovers romance featuring best friends/co-workers, Hunter Cross and Brit Robbins. Reading this story was a bittersweet experience, as I've come to love the men of Oxford and am reluctant to let them go. But, sadly, the time has come to do just that. So, with a tearful heart, I bid a final farewell to this endearing group of office hotties, along with each of their romantic counterparts.
Frustrated with her lackluster love life, Brit recruits a reluctant Hunter to instruct her in the subtle art of dating. Friend-zoned more often than not, Brit wants to learn Hunter’s secret in attracting the opposite sex and ultimately, learn how to drive men wild. But it's Hunter that's in for an awakening, when--during the process--Brit catches Hunter's interest and surreptitiously brings her best friend to his knees.
Overall, Hunter and Brit’s story is a light, fun, enjoyable story that’s a pretty fast read. But, admittedly, it’s not my favorite of all the Oxford novels. While I love a good “friends-to-lovers” story, this couple’s journey failed to bring anything new to the table, and their romantic chemistry was tepid at best. For me, it was the cast of familiar faces popping in and out of this story that bumped this series’ conclusion from a 3-star rating up to a resounding 4.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book, which was provided to me through Netgalley.

Hunter and Brit’s story has been long awaited, but with that, also meant the Oxford series coming to an end...and that is bittersweet. With each couple in the series making an appearance here it felt like visiting with old friends. I was thrilled when “I Think I Love You" came out, this couple has been on my radar for their own story for some time.
With Hunter and Brit there was a vulnerability that truly tore at my heartstrings...with the emotional attachment that has formed over time with these two, their journey was joyous and rewarding in their finally having their own HEA...especially when all their friends had already found their own. You just knew Hunter and Brit would have their own happy ending, but when it finally came about, I'm embarrassed to say, I gave a joyous Whoop Whoop with a raised fist.
Thank you Ms Layne for providing a host of friends who brought endless hours of heartfelt joy, emotional tugs at the heartstrings, and many many instances of hilarious entertainment. You've created characters who are larger than life and will be long remembered.

What happens when you turn to your best friend for love advice....things can get a bit complicated especially since he is a man .
Brit and Hunter have always been friends having never crossed the romantic line. When Brit decides that she has had enough of the endless dates that lead to nothing but disappointment she decides that it time to ask for outside help. How to be sexy, start up a relationship and keep it thriving she wants Hunter to help. The lines become blurred and those strange feelings of more than friendship begin to spark! Great Story!!

Score!

I loved the chemistry between Max and Charlie! The dynamic between them made for a interesting plot - will they? won't they? can they make it work? It was great to see the the background of these characters be slowly revealed their motivations. It was steamy and drama in all the right places! I love stories that get me into the characters and it definitely got me invested in them. HEA!
Please RateI Think I Love You: An Oxford Novel
Brit Robbins is frustrated. She's gainfully employed at a successful men's magazine, she's not bad looking, she's extremely fun. But, she's apparently not long-term girlfriend material. So, when her latest boyfriend amicably breaks up with her, Brit decides she needs some advice.
And who better to ask than her best friend and boss Hunter Cross? Hunter is firmly in her friend zone, but also a serial dater and pretty sexy, now that she looks at him.
Hunter can't believe his bestie wants to pretend date him, but goes with it because he wants nothing more than for Brit to be happy. But, as these things do, Brit and Hunter begin to realize maybe it was their friendship all along that was meant to be something more.
Pretty cute contemporary romance. Friends to lovers isn't my favorite trope, as I see it as reinforcing the stereo-type men and women can't just be friends. Plus, the way some of the office politics worked out was just a bit too convenient and super unrealistic. No dating policy for direct reports? I doubt it.
That said, a fun read and I'll definitely go back to read the others in the series which I hadn't read before this one. Don't worry, I Think I Love You completely stands on its own.
