I finished the book feeling conflicted. I'm frustrated by another cliffhanger ending and the guys really are jerks without redeeming qualities. It was interesting though and kept me turning the pages quickly. I want to read the next book to see what happens next, but I won't be dying of anticipation for it to release.

I have nothing against books with lesbian and/or gay story lines/ love interests, but if you are selling your book as a reverse harem, lesbians don't belong in that grouping. And please, tell a person before they are actually invested in the story and/or make a purchase. I was into the book until that unknown popped up and now sadly, i'm done. I need my RH to be multiple men with one woman, otherwise it should be called poly. This is just as bad as other authors advertising their books as RH and you read the entire thing only to discover the girl chooses at the end. Everyone lists every possible trigger possible these days but now it's a huge trend to throw in mm or ff in a RH without giving a heads up. Not cool.

Kitsune. Shifters. Vampires. Gods. The Nine has it all.

This book was absolutely fabulous. In fact, I'd venture to say that this is one of my favorite, if not my favorite book I've read all year, if not longer.

The characters in this book are fabulous, and I absolutely love the main character - she is independent, snarky, and self assured. I absolutely adore her. I also really enjoyed the fact that this book is not insta-love. While that works in some books, it wouldn't have for the MC in this series, and I'm absolutely thrilled that the authors did not try to make that "fit."

I loved seeing the character and relationship development, I adored the lust-hate thing that Thea and Bennett have going on, and Nix and Mik are just absolutely perfect. Actually, in retrospect, they're all perfect.

This book is reverse harem, which means that Thea, the lucky b... girl, will end up with several hot guys in her harem. She will have a "happily for now" ending with all of them. She will not choose. One of my favorite things about this series is that the guys are all very much alphas, and so there is bound to be tons of tension in this relationship - in the best possible way. There are also steamy scenes in this book, which is to be expected given other works by these same authors. If either one of those bother you, I'd skip this one, but if they don't... BUY IT NOW.

This book is simply magnificent. The world building is intricate, detailed, and intriguing. At every turn, effortless eroticism flows even as you're relentlessly tortured (as our delicious kitsune is) by almost getting what you desire. Yes, this book is wonderful because it combines all this with the most badass action and intelligence. More, please, now!

Loved this book! The female lead has the best character traits and it is super entertaining to read. The concept of the book was great, nothing I have read before which is always super refreshing. This is definitely my favorite book that cm and tate have collaborated on. A wonderful read!

What a great collaboration between Tate James and C.M. Stunich!

This books made me fall in love with kitsune! Thea Hunt is a professional assassin who has a tendency to fall in love with alpha men she shouldn't have anything to deal with, like the assassin's guild leader Mikhail, Nix the local wolf Alpha and Nix a skinwalking coyote. Not to mention her two exes Riot and Fin.

The shifters are being cursed, preventing them from being able to shift forms. Without that ability they slowly goes mad and starts to attack anyone around them. Thea is a confident and snarky kitsune, dealing with these alpha males and her exes who are driving her crazy. She's the youngest kitsune ever to have nine tails, but soon gets stripped of her powers for refusing to marry her intended. The interactions between Thea and the men are funny and hot!

I absolutely loved the book and can't wait for the next book!

I was completely excited to read this book, Kitsune are one of my absolute favorite creatures ever. I was NOT disappointed in the least, but then again Tate James and C.M. Stunich are both amazingly talented and creative as hell authors. Both of them are great at creating new worlds that work well, fantastic characters, extremely kick a$$ female leads and story arcs that keep the reader coming back for more. So it was absolutely no surprise that this books is as amazing as it is. I heard that this wasn't a traditional RH but after reading it, I have to disagree, Revel is hands down AWESOME and has zero interest in men, so I find it comparable to having all men. Mikhail is freakin dreamy, I love those bad boys with secret soft sides, which is why I loved so many of these characters, they are all kind of that way. Fin is also up there on my yumm list (fanning face) and though I really liked Riot (freaking awesome name) his words and actions broke my heart. I loved that Tate and C.M. were able to not only introduce all these characters but give them personalities and background and I look forward to more. Thea is a bada$$ female, she's a Kitsune (suddenly a fox shifter), she's sneaky, cunning, smart and crafty, but she's also strong, and a bit fearless. She constantly finds herself in tricky situations, complications and misunderstandings, she might need help to slip her way out of, around and/or through, as well as having her personal and professional life start to mingle a bit. Things get difficult and she needs to learn to juggle it all as well as find solutions to her problems. This was an action packed, funny, and all around enjoyable and entertaining read!

Fun RH with some unique elements, including uncommon species and a lesbian in the harem. The characters weren't very likeable, but it wasn't a bad read. Not sure if I'll pick up the second. Much better than other collaborations by CM Stunich and Tate James so far, so worth a read if you enjoy their work.

I love the different type of reverse harem that is being created in The Nine. I would be intrigued just from that alone but how Tate James and C.M. Stunich breath life into every page is like a drug. I can’t get enough.

I wish there were more books about Kitsune. The legends behind them are amazing and I am so happy that C.M. Stunich has decided to write a series about Thea AND she made it a reverse harem which just makes it that much juicier. I love all the characters. Thea has a lot of room to grow and figure her stuff out but it makes her very relatable and real. Add in the Kitsune issues and you have a book that keeps you riveted and wanting more. The author also rounds out the story by including friends and basically facets of life that make the book more realistic. I love it and can't wait for the next one.

Fabulous new series from CM Stunich and Tate James, that draws you in from the first page. The main character is a kitsune who is dealling with all sorts of external pressures including a council of eldees who seem to be thwarting her, an ex who wants to NOT be an ex, a sexy boss who very much wants to be her future, and a bad guy who just might be on her side. Not to mention that female fox shifter who she thought was here for her ex, but is actually here to pursue a relationship with the main character.

It's delightful and irreverent at times, combining multiple mythologies into one whole new situation that just effortlessly works. I cannot wait for book 2

Is the second one out yet?!?!? Ugh love these authors and I think they do phenomenal work separate and together. I am a sucker for shifter stories but they can be overdone. The Nine has a great storyline that doesn’t feel like the same ole shifter book on repeat. I feel like this book was a teaser and I need so much more! Her harem is sexy as hell! I love a good bad boy and she definitely has them! I also like how she is bringing in old ex’s into her harem as well. It makes for some steamy tension! You won’t regret picking up this book. Just good luck on putting it down!
