My son counted down the days until this arrived in our mailbox (We pre-ordered in June). Once he got it, he read it from start to finish without stopping. Jeff Kinney did not disappoint my 5th grader! Now begins the wait for Book 13!

My 10 yr. old grandson enjoys reading out loud to me and his younger brother. I love to hear them laugh out loud at some of the hilarious happenings. He now owns all the books in the series and the one I got him was a duplicate of another copy he received, so my daughter-in-law donated it to the school's literacy program where she works, for low income students

Personally, I find these books poorly written and wholly lacking in morals. However, they get my students to actually open a book so five stars, Jeff Kinney. My most reluctant reader finished this in a day.

Another PERFECT gift for the 9-14year old in your home. This series has single handedly made reading a staple with my kids. They actually enjoy reading now and not just DOAWK. They are now into all kinds of age appropriate reading.
