I Need My Monster

As a teacher, this is one of my students favorite books! They ask me to read it over and over. I use this book as one of my read alouds for our Opinion writing unit. The illustrations are lovely and the monsters have a real personality. I enjoy changing my voice for all the monsters and the characters. The children squeal with delight. I would highly recommend this book.

I've read books over the years about monsters under the bed, or in the closet, but this one is grand. The premise is fun and very believable under the circumstances. The whole approach to the issue might work well to dispel the fears of children's fear of the dark, or of monsters. I sat and read this with my 6-year-old grandson first, and then with my 11-year-old grand daughter and we all loved it. The drawings too are gorgeous and really added a lot to the story and our enjoyment. I highly recommend this book! The only problem I have is, I bought the Kindle edition and the print came through so tiny, I find it difficult to read. I was not able to enlarge it.

This book is soo cute, the pictures and the whole concept its just fun for toddles to see and listen to. Also a good book to read when kids are afraid of the dark and monsters.. this book helped my 4yr old son through the monster fear.. he now sleeps like a baby! Love the story too.
