I loved this book! Really fun southern fiction, best read on the front porch swing with a tall glass of sweet tea. I LOVED the characters (I KNOW these people). The story was well-written and true-to-life in the south. Warm, funny and charming and oh so relatable. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

I did enjoy this book but found the main character a bit whiny. If she loved Atlanta so much and disliked small towns why did she overreact to her teenage daughter's behavior. I still found the book an easy read with likable characters.

Small town Georgia, gossipy and nosy southern women, trains, ghosts.... Just didn't mesh well. The women characters annoyed me. I get what the author was trying for here though- being happy with your life, go with the flow.... But just wasn't a very good story in my opinion.

Enchanting story of real life. Felt I was part of the story and found it funny and insightful. Author did an amazing job of bringing you right into the town life and making you feel part of the family. Can not wait to read the next book in this series!

The storyline is great and the characters well-developed. However, many wrong verb tenses, possessives, plurals, and general errors in grammar and spelling escaped the eye of the proofreaders. Or perhaps no proofreading was done? In any case, this is very disturbing to this English teacher.

Sometimes a little wordy but the food descriptions gave me a flavor of small town southern life. The characters were well developed “bless their hearts” and the meaning of their words were translated from southern idiom well.

This book was entertaining and interesting. I love the way the author describes the setting; her love of nature is evident. The characters were likable and realistic. I liked it so much I will be reading the next book in the series right away!
