In Wolf, book four of the Outlaw series by author extraordinaire Nicole James we met a beastly dominate bad boy biker that dominates a girly tomboy in a battle for control, and the winner takes all! Ms. James characters are bigger than life but at the same time filled with human emotions. This story covers a lot of territory, not only emotionally but also geographically, ranging from the west coast to the badlands of North Dakota. The story that unfolds on the pages of this book is one of love, passion, denial and hope. Crystal and Wolf’s story is not an easy one, but in the end it is one of forgiveness with a future for our two star crossed lovers.
He is a player and a lover of women and a bad boy that loves playing the field without comment! That is the way Wolf swings until he met Crystal six years before. Now after all this time he either has to man up or let her go but the letting go is not something he thinks he can do. When Crystal leaves without saying goodbye, Wolf realizes that maybe he should have done things differently.
Crystal can no longer be his go to girl. She needs Wolf to either comment or leave her alone so that she can move on. When things come to a head, she realizes he will never claim her as his own and so she makes plans and leaves to start a new life. Leaving behind Wolf, the club and all of her friends is hard, but the secrets she carries with her are harder to deal with. No one but Wolf has ever held her heart and life looks bleak without him. He has shattered her soul and crushed her heart only time will tell if she can start over without him.
A hidden force stretches its evil tentacles to disrupt and destroy not only the Evil Dead MC but also those that they love. It is not a respecter of innocent bystanders, and retribution is its only focus. If you enjoy a good MC romance then this is the book and series for you. I cannot wait for the next release in this series.

I recently did a review for the first book in this series "Outlaw" and enjoyed Nicole James's writing so when I saw this novel which is book 4 in the series I just had to request it, luckily Netgalley granted my request and gave it to me in exchange for an honest review.
Wolf can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series, although characters from previous books do appear you are definitely not lost if you don't know their back stories. I have not as yet read books 2 and 3 but I will at some point!.
The novel much like Outlaw was a bit of a slow and awkward start but a few chapters in and I was hooked on the characters. I think Nicole James's main strength is her creation of really good characters, they all just come to life for you and you really start to feel true emotion. Her mixing intrigue into her stories is a great break from some of the angst and interaction between the couple as they find their way to each other.
This novel had so much going on that it was a really quick read. I did mention the start was slow but by 50% the whole book got solid and the writing evened out. I would say that the romance in the story was a slow burn between two characters, one who knew what she wanted and was afraid to ask for it and the other was too afraid to commit to know what he had all along. The secondary characters were a great vehicle to clarify the hero's feelings and to give us more of an in-depth look into his psyche. The girls were some great comic relief and added that touch of lightness to the story.
Wolf is our main biker hero...and he is steaming hawt! but in a lot ways he is a young boy in a man's clothing. He suffered emotional damage as a child and it stunted his ability to emotionally grow into an adult. Don't get me wrong Wolf is extremely Alpha and a very dominate male but emotionally it he had trouble connecting to his feelings and creating/or admitting to a deeper relationship. Crystal our heroine is another cup of emotional soup. Crystal although is a strong female character she is so afraid of losing what she wants that she becomes a bit of an doormat for Wolf. It takes a earth shattering event for them to grow into the adults they were meant to be unfortunately it this growth was not made together and there we have our conflict.
I loved how this all played out...it was exciting, the sex was not just steaming but boiling! dirty, wall pounding, hip grinding awesomely wonderful sex! The climax was terrifyingly great! I should mention I wish that NJ had spend a bit more time in Sturgis with the evil doer and added just a tough more suspense...but over all I really enjoyed the book.
This is a strong 3.5 star read for me rounded to 4 and I do give this book a solid recommendation especially for fans of romantic biker fiction. This is a must read series and I will be going back and reading the novels I have missed and will be watching for new releases! Wolf comes out April 28, 2015 so pre order now!

One of the reviews criticized the on again/off again romance of Wolf & Crystal and didn't like the book. So . . . I almost didn't continue with the series, but was so glad that I did. I cried for these characters as they continually did the dance of not surewhere their relationship was going. Crystal found another strong group of men to work for, Brothers Ink, who were as protective of her as the MC was. Would love to see a series on Brothers Ink. This is my fourth in the series and it did not disappoint. I like books where you begin with the first in a series continue on with the books. Yes . each book is a stand alone story, but it is so much better if you start with the first one and know how their brotherhood and friendship evolves. Starting the last in the series now, Ghost's story. Again, please, Ms. James, write about Jameson and his brothers. He did, after all, lose Crystal.

What can I say? I was completely amazed by "Wolf", the fourth book of the Evil Dead series MC by Nicole James; just a few pages and I was already in love and lost in the Evil Dead's world. I hadn't read the other books in this series, but this has not been an obstacle, Crystal and Wolf's story is a wonderful book to read as standalone, but I doubt you can resist the lure of reading the previous books, which tell the stories of other characters that we can find in "Wolf" and which are absolutely fantastic, as Cole , Crash and their "old ladies"
I already read other series about bikers, and this helped me because the world of motorcycle clubs is very particular: they have their rules, their language and the members of the club can be very extreme in their behaviour in several aspects of their life, and also outlaw, but I love them.
What impressed me in "Wolf" was especially that it isn't only about Crystal and Wolf, but it is a more choral book. The brotherhood and the bond between the components of the Evil Dead is very deep, and the author gave them ample space, I enjoyed reading the way they tease each other, but also how, at certain times, how their relationship gives a way to speak uncomfortable truths, almost brutally between Brothers.
The plot is compelling, with a good rhythm and a good balance between passionate scenes, very explicit and absolutely hot, the story between the two main characters and what happens in the club, with a hint of mystery tied to a series of attacks against the Evil Dead MC.
The story between Wolf and Crystal is not simple, full of ups and downs and dark moments, especially for Crystal. In their story Wolf takes too many things for granted. Their attraction and understanding is perfect, but he fails to bring their relationship to the next level. Crystal is special, she knows Wolf, she is the only one with he can be himself, but he doesn't realize that he has to deal with the depth and importance of what binds them, he's breaking Crystal's heart a little at a time, up to the breaking point, and she may not return.
Maybe Crystal is not helped by the fact to see around her other club couples, to see their unconditional love; her situation is anomalous, it is a double-edged sword for her to have under her eyes what she would and could have with Wolf, if he were not so imperative with his “no bonds rules” and ask her to be his "old lady".
"So he didn't wake her, and he didn't leave a note. It was a decision he'd come to regret. Because if he'd known the events that would transpire, he would never have walked out that door.
But he hadn't known, so he bent and brushed a soft kiss on her forehead and whispered, "Love you, babe."
A kiss she never felt. A note she never saw. A sentiment she never heard."
Wolf is many things ... dominant, possessive, territorial, but in all this, and despite all his faults, he truly cares for Crystal, you perceive it, you read it between the lines, also thanks to his POV, and this is why I loved him. He fails to do so immediately in the way in which Crystal needs him, he misses the words and the security to do so, and they both come to terms with it, but he tries.
A story and a book that struck me for its moments sometimes sweet, sometimes funny, and others that will break some hearts, but also for its scenes full of erotism and sensuality between Wolf and Crystal.
For those who love this genre it's a must-read, for those who approach it for the first time the books about bikers and MC would be a great start.

I loved this book, it was packed full of romance, heartbreak, drama, suspence, and never ending love. We got to read some of Wolf and Crystal's story in the earlier book and this starts off after Cole had told Wolf to let her go, since he would not step up then he had to let her go, this was better said then done. I loved how we got to see how Crystal first met Wolf and became a part of the MC family. I enjoyed the brief flashbacks to the different memories her and Wolf share. I love how dominant Wolf is and him and Crystal have some wild, rough, and exciting sex, they make the perfect pair in the bedroom. Then a shocker happens and finally Crystal is pushed to the breaking point and she lets loose on Misty, I cannot stand that woman, but the fallout of this changes everything. We get to see how and where Crystal starts her life over, I like her bosses but no matter what happened or how great they were to her nobody was better for her then Wolf. I was shocked at how Red Dog reacted to Crystal being gone, he was so angry at Wolf and then my heart broke because this news that she had left had torn Wolf apart but at the same time I was so angry at him because this was all his fault. I love that the ladies go on a girls weekend to celebrate Crystal's birthday and I thought what happens with their significant others was hilarious. Of course things get hot and heavy between her and Wolf, they have the best chemistry. I thought it was great getting to read more about each of the couples we have come to love. There is a big moment that happens in Vegas, that is all I am saying about that. Wolf pushes Crystal to tell him why she left and was devastated to find out what all she had been through, it broke my heart when he gave her what she pleaded to him to give her. There are other stories happening in this book other then just Wolf and Crystals story, a mystery person keeps destroying things that the MC is connected to and these actions get more and more severe as the story progresses and then something terrible happens and my mouth just hung open and I was on the edge of my seat through this whole terrible nightmare. Then Cole give Crystal some advice which had me screaming at my kindle. Then Wolf has to make some big decisions and go after what he wants but when he does I am shocked, then thrilled, then crying my eyes out like a big baby. In the end Wolf wraps it all up by saying "Maybe our story wasn't a fairy tale, by anybody's stretch of the imagination, but that was okay, because we finally had our own happy ending. And life was good. Life was very, very good."

Yess.. I have been following this MC series since book 1. Cole has always been my favorite, but Wolf totally changed that for me.
This book took me on one heck of a ride. I seriously couldn't get enough of it. Wolf is a hard man to love but when you fall you fall hard.
He is even a harder man to love you back, but when he does it with his whole heart.
Crystal who if you have read the others book know her as the bartender for the club and she is feisty and lovable. When Wolf dosent stake his claim she leaves the club behind and seriously it is the worst mistake she could have made. Wolf owns her soul and will never let the grasp her has on her heart go. There love story is so unique in powerful you will be sucked in routing for them yet screaming in agony!
Nicole seriously gave her best work in this book! I want to read and re read over and over again!

What a great story! Wolf and Crystal have an affair that is all consuming, it's rough, brutal, sometimes tender but always very passionate. Through all this Wolf still has problems with commitment and kept treating Crystal abysmally, and she is hurt over and over again. Finally, Wolf is warned to stay away from her....but does he? Can he?
I've enjoyed all the previous Evil Dead MC novels and this one is no exception. I loved the the great storyline, with the drama and it's many twist and turns, there's suspense, action and lots of steamy sex. I found the characters themselves a little frustrating at times as they couldn't seem to make their minds up about each other, there was a little contradiction there, and I'm interested to read more about the Brothers Ink.
This was a great read which I would highly recommend to any MC lover. 5/5

I found the characters themselves a little frustrating at times as they couldn't seem to make their minds up about each other, there was a little contradiction there, and I'm interested to read more about the Brothers Ink.
This was a great read which I would highly recommend to any MC lover. 5/5

Gifted from Netgalley for an honest review – 4 stars
Initially I struggled with this, getting into the story took a bit of time but once in and I had that hook the story ran away with itself and ended up being quite a read in all honesty. I’m not sure what the problem was to start with, perhaps it was Wolf, I couldn’t get a handle on him straight off and I prefer that something grab me from the get go. Don’t get me wrong, I love a slow burner but it still needs to hook me from the start. This didn’t quite manage that. It’s written in 3rd person and sometimes the POV’s are a bit all over the place which produced a struggle with the flow of dialogue and commentary. This was prevalent throughout the story and at times I had to re-read something in order to get it straight in my head. I think this coupled with the lack of an initial hook pulled this from a 5 star read to a 4. I also understand that this is the 4th book in the series and despite it being an interconnected standalone the reader would definitely benefit from reading through the other books before embarking on Wolf’s story. I found I could understand the storyline no problem but I was very aware that I had missed some things from not doing so.
The plot line is good and I found no gaps in the story, it went from strength to strength with characters that do grow on you. It always helps when you have a kinky, bad biker at the helm and a strong willed female lead. The secondary characters added to the plot as they should, to enhance and I have to say I would be extremely interested in reading about them further, especially Jameson. There were a few scenes I couldn’t quite get on board with, in particular their sex play at the beginning. I found it a tad silly but that’s just me. It served a purpose to explain a part of Wolf and Crystal. But there were a few scenes that absolutely blew me away. I felt all that emotion that came with the scene out in the field with Wolf and Crystal and the writing for that was tip top. From about 50 to 60% the story gathered pace as both MC’s began to come around to the inevitable. I really liked crystal’s character and the more we get to hear about her and her struggles, especially later, it leaves the reader with a heavy heart and you are definitely rooting for their HEA.
Would I read Nicole James again? Yes, I think I would. Her writing is good and I’d like to back read the other Evil Dead stories. Worthy 4 star read which had the potential to be a little better in my opinion. I’ve stated why above.

Well this was a good edition in the Evil Dead MC series. Wolf and Crystal have an undeniable pull to each other. Wolf has MAJOR commitment issues and yanks Crystal around. It was sad and heartbreaking that is took so long for Wolf to wake up and face the fact that she was the one. I liked Wolf but didn’t love him I thought he was an ass through most of the story.
I liked Crystal she basically went straight from a douche bag ex to Wolf, and Wolf wasn’t really a healthy choice for her. I understood her weakness when it came to Wolf. I think she should have cut him loose sooner but she had spent a lot of time loving him and hoping for him to come around. I loved the journey she took and even though it was painful for her it was a good decision. Meeting the Brother’s Ink, learning to ride, and just finding herself was important.
The story had some good suspense, violence, and action. Crystal was pretty bad a** in the end and I do love when the chick saves the day.

I've been looking forward to the release of Wolf for a long time now and his and Crystal's story for a long time now and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I loved the drama between him and Crystal. Though at some times I wished he would just man up and be the big bad alpha bike we all know he is. I know that they both had to go through their hardships to realize what they had together.
Crystal was such a strong heroine. She wasn't afraid to put herself first and leave Wolf. Though she might have been a little weak when it came to resisting him she wasn't afraid to guard her heart. I loved how she left him and became happy at Brother's Ink. I loved how she learned to ride a bike and let the brother's become her new family. Honestly their were parts of the book where I was just like you need to leave Wolf and be with Jameson, but we all know that wouldn't have made her truly happy. I just freaking loved the brothers so much that I really hope they get their own story soon!!!
Overall this was the perfect next installment to the series. Nicole not only gave us Wolf's story but also let us see glimpses of the other Evil Dead members so that we could continue to love them and see their lives. This made the book even more perfect.

LOVED this MC book!! Wolf loves women and doesn't want to be tied down but he really like Crystal...a lot. Crystal and Wolf have hot, steamy sex but they also sit and talk about everything. Everytime Wolf gets called out early in the morning for MC meetings and he's at Crystal's, he leaves without a note or telling her . As a result Crystal feels used and more like his "flavor of the month" girl. When Crystal has enough, she leaves without a goodbye, making Wolf realize he really loves her. But Crystal now is working at a place and the guys love her, one in particular. Wolf now has to fight for Crystal. This was such a great read. and I can't wait to read Ghost's story next!

Crytstal is a bartender for The Evil Dead MC California chapter where she meets MC member Wolf. Crystal is a valued member of the club but is not an ol lady or a club whore. Crystal and Wolf have be in a on/off relationship affair.
I really enjoyed reading Wolf can't wait to see what Nicole has in store for us next in The Evil Dead MC series. If you like biker books you should try The Evil Dead MC books by Nicole James. I highly recommend these books.

Wow! There were so many twists and turns in this romance. I couldn’t believe he’d finally let her go....yet they were both miserable. But they needed it. I think that shouldn’t have gone through what she did alone. I would have thought she would have contacted a girlfriend. I definitely don’t think her personality would have created her scars (trying not to give spoilers). That was a surprise. This series is great!

Well, from reading the other books in the series, I didn't care for Wolf and his bullsh#t. I also read a few reviews that gave away quite a bit of information and that put me off, too. What I will say is that I should have known better.....Nicole does not write doormat women and while Wolf was an a$$hole, and Crystal was very vulnerable, she did not just take the crap he was dishing out. There was a lot of push and pull to this story, and it was a bumpy ride but I did enjoy the story and how previous characters are updated and new characters are introduced (Jameson!!!!!).

Crystal has feelings for Wolf, yet she knows that he has commitment issues. Still she hopes he will eventually see the light. When she loses it one night and attacks a girl Wolf is with, the mc prez says one of them has to go. Crystal leaves and finds a new life and job. Wolf begins to realize the extent of his feelings for Crystal. Can he say and to the right things to win her back? There are some other complications to the plot that makes this a good book to read. This is book 4 in The Evil Deaf MC series.

Wolf is the next installment in Nicole James amazing Mc series. We loved Outlaw, Crash, Shades and now we get to
fall for Wolf. We have been begging for his and Crystal's story ever since hearing Cole aka Outlaw forbid the two
contact after Wolf let his jealousy get the best of him by going after Shane the MC's prospect. Crystal of course
was showing Wolf that two could play the game he was throwing in her face by constantly shoving it in her face that
he had other women.
Wolf loved his MC, loved being a Dominant and even more loved Crystal. He was determined to never admit that fact.
He didn't want an ol' lady or any commitments for that matter. There was just something about Crystal and him that
clicked both sexually and on other levels. She just got him and completely understood him without him having to
explain.
Crystal loved her life with the Mc with one exception, Wolf throwing other women in her face and not committing to
her. Though he always wanted her around to scratch that certain itch he had when it came calling. She had never
trusted anyone to Dominate her in the bedroom, but she trusted Wolf and let him be and do to her as he pleased.
With all the cat and mouse games the two played the fire eventually burned one of them. They MC was having a hard
time dealing with the drama of those two, sending Wolf away, and giving Crystal time off. They were hoping would
show the two how serious they were. That backfired on them as Crystal then left without saying goodbye in person to
anyone other than Angel.
A while later the guys are taking care of business at the pony in Nevada and the girls being who they are wanted to
get away and celebrate. It just so happened that it was Crystal's birthsay weekend, so after some convincing the
girls made a get away to Vegas. Their mistake was texing the guys their location after they arrived. Surprise they
guys showed up and crashed the girls weekend. During this crash Wolf and Crystal had some birthday celebrations of
their own.
There is alot of push and pull in this relationship. Running away, Chasing, MC troubles. Past comes back to attack
Outlaw, but getting Crystal and Wolf instead. What they make it through during their attack are things that should
push couples together. Crystal however gets advice from Cole, pretty much he said if Wolf deserved her he would
come after her and fight for her. He told her to return home and continue with the new life that she had been
building. If he came and fought for her, then he deserved her. If he didn't she deserved someone who could
appreciate her for the woman she was and the happiness she could give.
Nicole James has a success on her hands with this book. 5 star review for this amazing installment to this series.
So much happens and I could keep giving you more information, but then I would give the book away and I wouldn't
take the joy of this book away from anyone.

Wolf and Crystal have been dancing around for a while. Wolf afraid to commit and Crystal in love with Wolf and wanting a comitment. He loves her but he's afraid he's not good enough. Then something happens in Sturgis and he has to come to grips with himself and what he wants with Crsytal. There is danger, fighting and competition.

Love this series, love the hot scenes in this book. The drama and back-&-forth of the H/h are probably exciting and just right for some and too much for others. He's definitely no Prince Charming, but not everyone wants a Prince. This could be a stand-alone, but def highly recommend reading the rest of the series first. This one loops and layers through events in the previous books from a different perspective, over a long time period, so having the fuller picture is beneficial. :)

Wolf is a member of the Evil Dead MC. Crystal's job was cleaning club's clubhouse and managing the bar. Crystal portrayed herself as being tough but she had a girly side. Her involvement with Wolf was very complicated. Crystal was a complicated contraction, tough and edgy on the outside, but soft on the inside that she only showed on occasion. She was the only one that understood the beast inside Wolf. Wolf didn't know if he could do a real relationship. He had been ordered by the club President to either go into a relationship with Crystal or set her loose.
I found Crystal to be a strong person. She loved her man with all she had, but she finally had to walk away with her heart shattering. You really learn to care for Crystal and all she went through and you cheer her on. Wolf was a very strong, tough man. He did what had to be done as far as the club went, but he had a lot of personal doubts about himself and relationships. Crystal was in his blood. It was great to watch him grow and got to root him on.
It was a great book with a great plot. I thought the author did a great job writing about an MC Club without making it gritty and something I wouldn't want to read. What can I say, I loved it and highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved this book!! These men are so entertaining!! And what a great story. We get to revisit all our favorite characters. All the men and their ladies are back. And the humor... The Vegas trip was a perfect addition!!! If I could have been a fly on the wall.
Brother's Ink... please let this be a spin off series. My heart is breaking for Jameson. I want to know more about these brothers!!

After waiting for this next installment, I was not disappointed. Nicole's writing is always so on target and descriptive without overdoing. She is able to keep the story on track while still injecting enough of the character's feelings and POV's to make us care about them. My favorite of this great series is still Crash, but Wolf is definitely running a close second. He is just the man we all love to hate.....lol Thanks Nicole for another great read and look forward to the next installment of this fun series......Denise

Wolf and Crystal’s story started long before their own book and let me tell you it’s one hell of a story. Running, leaving and just not having a clue, but once Wolf pulled his head outta his ass.... Crystal got everything she wanted and all that went along with Wolf. HEA is more than they both got.

Wolf is actually like my fantasy, all full of confidence and dominance that it makes me shiver in delight. Crystal has a big attitude and gives Wolf what he dishes out but has the need to submit, submit to him. They are like gasoline and a lit match, once together they explode and burn. The problem is Wolf couldn't commit and forced Crystal to feel as though he didn't love her when he loves her more than life itself. There's heartbreak, there's passion, there's wild and hot sex, and there's the redeemable hero which makes for the happy ending to be all the sweeter.

This was an exciting story for Wolf and Crystal. Filled with twists you just don’t expect. I really enjoyed that all the MC brothers and their old Ladies join the story. It really makes this story better. This group on the San Jose Chapter are worth reading. Read On!
Please RateAn Evil Dead MC Story (The Evil Dead MC Series Book 4)
