Survivors #3: Darkness Falls

This is definitely a great book. I recommend this book to people who have read the WARRIORS and SEEKERS series. I also certainly can't wait for the next one to come out!! Hope you love this book. :)

This book did managed to meet my expectations. I know this is going to sound petty, but I expected it to be good due to the great cover. I can understand Lucky`s feelings because, no dog can afford to be a Lone Dog and hope to hope to survive. It`s a good thing the Erins didn`t go into detail about Alpha`s scar in this book. Usually the author might go to a sad flashback to explain a horrid injury as if that`s supposed to excuse a character`s deplorable behavior. Alpha made a smart choice to save Daisy after Lucky`s pleading. He would end up looking like a poor leader if he let a loyal member die over a "test". I did feet a little sad that Wiggle died after Blade claimed those were her pups. I`m really glad that Lick is still alive. She pleaded her loyalty to the pack. Lucky had every right to be mean to Beta, who claimed dogs can`t change. (If you`ve read The Empty City, you`ll know that Beta used to be a pathetic dog.) It`s a good thing Grunt is with the Fierce Dogs now. At the beginning of the book, I detested Alpha. At the end of the book, I began to like Alpha a little bit. I can`t wait for the next book. Overall, I recommend this book.

I love the series overall, and Darkness Falls was completely up to my expectations. A Hidden Enemy left off in a huge cliffhanger, and Darkness Falls starts right where A Hidden Enemy left off. As in previous books, the story was exciting and kept me on my seat. I fell in love with Lick, and I can't wait to see what happens with her! The Leashed Dogs rejection of Luck in the beginning was sad, and contributed well to the story. I do love a conflicted character! And Alpha's true nature begins to shine through a bit. He's still a bit of a mystery, though. I hope we learn his history in a later book!

As you may or may not know, Darkness Falls was written by a different author than The Empty City and A Hidden Enemy. I was a bit
nervous about this, as I love Gillian Philip's writing, but Inbali Iserles
filled in the role of Erin well. I'm excited to see what she has in store for the dogs!

This book is a synonym of AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have read Warriors or Seekers or both you will love this book. I must recommend you read the first two books in this series, because it is a straight followup from them. Also some other books you might want to read are the series Warriors, Seekers, Wolves Of The Beyond, Dogs Of The Drowned City, and Wings Of Fire. This book I think is one of the best you'll ever read.

I really enjoyed reading about the dogs. I wasn't sure how I would like this, but this was quite enjoyable and enlightening to imagine what the dogs are thinking and feeling. I plan to read the entire series

Another great read...never a dull moment for the Pack. The fierce dog pups was a nice addition and shows the Pack divisions. Lucky is selfless in his devotion to the pups and his leashed dog pack. Looking forward to the next tale.

The story began at such a high level of excitement that I wondered how it would be sustained throughout the book. However the author does an excellent job of motivating the reader to keep turning the pages. I felt the ending was right for the story even though I wanted to see Lucky move up in the Pack. I gave a rating of five stars because the story was so well told.
