There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly (Classic Books with Holes)

The product is as advertised and no surprise.
But really disappointed with the packaging especially because the books were new.
All the books in the package was bent and crushed in all four corners.

My daughter LOVES this book in hardback and I downloaded it for Kindle on my phone, but it is AWFUL, it's like the pages were photocopied and put on the computer. Buy the hardback book but avoid the digital. I just wish I could figure out how to cancel the order and return the digital copy.

Cute book but not the book I remembered in school.. The cut outs in the middle of the book make it kind of hard to read the way it's supposed to read ( if that makes any sense).. But my one year old seems to like it so I'm happy.

The writing is in a circle inside the pictures so if you are reading to a child with a Kindle, it is difficult to see the writing because it is very small. Of course, I know the book mostly by heart but in my opinion the way this book is illustrated does not transfer well to the Kindle format. I like the story because it is that kind of dark humor of old nursery rhymes. So I will look for a better version or just stick to paper on this one.

I love singing stories to my elementary students in music class. Over time, the students learn the tunes as well and sing with me. They enjoy visuals which is why the thought of musical "story time" is usually a success for me. I own almost all of the "There Was an Old Lady" stories. There are books for each holiday and season. The students always become excited when they see one of these books in my hand to "read-sing" together!

I bought this book in combination with the Old Lady Doll and the Beany toys...AND YOU SHOULD TOO!!

The doll maches exactly to the picture of her in the book, all the bean bag animals fit in her mouth (and tummy).

I was disappointed in this book when I received it. The overall condition was not like new as stated, I would not even rate it as good, The cover was wrinkled, and was obviously very used. Plus several of the pages were repeated and it seemed that perhaps some pages were missing. I realize this flaw was most likely a publishing error, but should have been revealed. I purchase books to read and record them for my granddaughter, I will not be giving her this book.
