I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a magnificent start to a brand new series that is close to Jayne's heart. Going Down takes us to the beautiful waters of Bonaire, which sounds delightful I might add. We learn about SCUBA diving with three hunky men that have been best friends for 12 years. But there are some secrets that Archer is hiding from his two best friends that he has no choice but to reveal now that his father has died. We start off with his struggle of hoping his friendships are strong enough for the truths he has to tell.

This first installment of the Divemasters series is quite a roller coaster, a sexy roller coaster. The relationship between Archer, Tosin and Miguel is a great one and stronger than they even realize. When Banks shows up with some good news and a yacht filled with luxury, a staff and the lovely Waverly the story only gets better. Archer and Waverly knew each other when they younger but haven't seen each other in years. The sparks fly again immediately. This book contains sultry heat, with some laughs, some suspense and some great diving lessons!

I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Going Down is a great beginning to the Divemaster series. Archer is a pretty decent guy who has tortured himself for years over something that wasn't really his fault. Believing he hurt the one girl he really cared for, he took off at nineteen and now he's shocked to find that she is a new crew member on his yacht. As a teenager, Waverly lost everything after her night with Archer, including Archer, who disappeared without a word. Now face to face again, all the things they once felt for each other come flooding back and they have to separate truth from fiction in regards to what happened so long ago.

The BDSM aspect in this story is pretty mild. I liked both of the main characters. The story is well-written. In addition to the hot and sexy scenes, this book also includes little things like sunken treasure and murder just to add to the excitement of this great adventure/romance.

I received a free review copy of this book.

“Going Down” is the first book in Jayne Rylon’s “Divemasters” series, and it was fantastic. This book focuses on Archer, a reluctant billionaire who is trying to right the wrongs from his past, and Waverly, the girl who got away. Once again, Jayne has delivered an exciting story, fun characters, and all the twists and turns a reader could want. I loved that she incorporated a concept from her “Men in Blue” series (because for all her loyal readers like myself, I enjoy when series and characters cross over), and that she focuses on the importance of friendship….in addition to all the romance. As with all of Jayne’s books, the chemistry between Archer and Waverly is hot, hot, hot, and his relationship with his two best friends and Banks, Archer’s former butler and mentor, is genuine and real. I cannot wait to read the next two books!

*I was given an advanced copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Nice premise, good story. Lots of drama, as both H&H have a past, and need a lot of healing. This sets up the background of the 3 guys, and how they got the boat, and is Archer and Waverly's story. I liked the foundation being set up to help others. I also like that she is a strong woman in her own right, and is able to listen and forgive.
Lots of drama, heroics and romance.

I had the hardest time putting this book down. Jayne Rylon sure knows how to tell a story and this one is no exception. This 3 book series will surely be "Going Down" as one of her bests. The story rags to riches to rags of Archer and riches to rags to survivor for Waverly will tear at your heartstrings. I cried with them and laughed with them. Jayne combines lost love found, heartbreak, mystery and excitement into one book that you will want to read again. I love how she writes more than just about love and passion. It has mystery and drama and the descriptions that are used for everything will make you feel like you have been Diving before or have now put it on your calendar for our next vacation. There is nothing lacking in this book. Although I don't think I will ever get the word "whackadoodle" out of my head. I can thank Banks for that one. I am eagerly waiting for more of the Divemasters and I think I will start by reading this book again!

Jayne Rylon has done it again! This is the first book in her new trilogy. I first heard about this new series at the end of Jayne's last Men in Blue book: Bound for You (FYI - fabulous series if you didn't read it!). This is set on a luxury cruise ship with the focus on Archer and Waverly. They are a very hot couple who reconnect after years of being apart due to family drama and a tragedy that both misunderstood. I love a happy, realistic ending and I wasn't disappointed. I can't wait for the next two books to come out: Going Deep and Going Hard. I loved Archer in this book and I can't wait to read the upcoming Divemaster books about Miguel and Tosin!!

LOVED IT!!! I have been looking forward to this series since I first read the synopsis and it certainly didn't disappoint. There are some lovely twists that kept me wondering about the outcome and I enjoyed unraveling the mystery. I could go on and on but I don't want to spoil the story for anybody. I will say this, I loved the characters. I thought they were genuine and well thought out. I can't wait until the next book in the series come out so I can devour that one as well!

So this might be one of the tamest Jayne Rylon books I've read. Considering the kink and BDSM she's written in the past this is firmly in the BDSM lite category. I had drifted away from her books after reading Devon's Pair in the Powertools series when it became a sexual free for all. I can handle a lot of kink but the sharing/swapping multiple partners apparently doesn't work for me at all. I guess I'm a monogamy girl at heart even if that monogamy is within a ménage. That's also why I skipped the Hot Rods series since it seemed like it would follow in the Powertools footsteps.
So when I saw the synopsis for Going Down I figured I could delve back into her books since I had missed her storytelling. I'm not a diver, and I didn't understand most of the abbreviations she used for diving equipment, she did manage to bring me into what it would feel like to dive and understand the fascination with it. I liked both Archer and Waverly and the connection the two of them had even after what had transpired in their past. They were both sweet and hot together. I thought the "treasure hunt" mystery part of the plot dropped in too late. It allowed the big conflict and truths to happen between Archer and Waverly but the last 20% just sped by between the mystery and the conflict and the next thing you knew BOOM!...everything is wrapped up nice and neat and the story is over. Made for an exciting read there at the end but I would have liked that to play out for longer within the story.
So why didn't I rate this higher? She hit a few personal pet peeves that affected my enjoyment.
I hate it when a hero or heroine has explicit sex with someone else even when they haven't connected yet. It's ok he's a manwhore....I just don't want to live it with him. It's even worse that this scene was really hot but...ewww.
Although Miguel and Tosin don't have intercourse with Waverly there is a scene that they participate in that gave me flashbacks to Powertools and I thought it was going to go farther than it did. Sadly that scene didn't work for me either.
So is it well written? Absolutely. Is it enjoyable? Yes, and probably more so for readers that don't share my pet peeves. Will I read the next two? Yes, as long as no sharing/swapping starts happening.

I received this story, this is my voluntary review.

Going Down held my attention throughout. I enjoyed the journey Archer and Waverly had to take to be together. I found these character's perspective interesting. Despite their miscommunication, they finally find their way to each other, overcoming every obstacle set before them in their journey.
Additionally, I was pleased to see the other relationships in the story were well developed. Tosin and Miguel are great friends to Archer, offering a much needed counter-balance to his awful father. I especially loved Banks, and wish I had someone like that in my life to help me see all aspects of various situations. Overall, good start to a series.

Received this ARC free for an honest review. Wow! It's like she's in my head, yet again! This series is going to be great. I loved this book! The characters were mature, not naive or played head games, with themselves or others. And might I say that one particular event is straight out of my fantasies. I swear she's psychic! Well, I'm looking forward to "Going Deep" and "Going Hard"... pun intended. Enjoy!

I very much enjoyed this book. Archer was a great character. I liked Waverly and I thought they were good together. Archer and his friends were awesome. I would have liked to seen more interactions between them. As far as I am concerned the star of the books was Banks. I hope he eventually gets his own book. It is an interesting concept having a series based on a yacht. This was a great start to a series.

Once again Jayne pulls you in from the very first chapter!! A man that had everything turns away from it all because he thinks he did something horrible to the only woman he ever cared about. Then with one phone call he is able to make his dreams and those of his best friends come true, And he may just get a second chance to right what he thinks is his wrong. With twists and turns and let us not forget the hotness factor. You will not be disappointed!!!

I was captivated from the very beginning.
Strong and diverse characters blended with an intriguing tale of the life one desires versus the the life one is destined for.
Loved the language, loved setting, loved Archer

3.5 Stars

I really enjoyed the concept and introduction of this new series. I enjoy diving and I think Jayne Rylon brought that to life very well!

As expected from a story by this author, it is well written and thought out. You get a great depth to most of the characters and the story line. This is a fun romance with a lot of detail and great supporting characters to look forward to later :)

What I really felt was lacking:
1. Some depth to Waverly.
2. Labeling this as a BDSM Romance, I expected a little more of the BDSM element
3. The ending / drama of the story just felt a little flat since it was introduced late in the book.

But now that we have so much background of the Divemasters, I am really looking forward to book 2 and 3 where I'm hoping Jayne Rylon continues like her other series and the book gets a little meatier!

Jayne Rylon does it, again! From the construction workers in the awesome Power Tools series, to the sweaty, sexy mechanics in the Hot Rods series, we now jump into the deep blue, sexy divers of the new Divemaster series. I had a little trouble, at first, getting into the story, because there was a lot of scenery description, and the storyline focused on the three men, without the heroine, but, boy, once she entered the picture, BAM - here we go. It was nonstop action, adventure, romance (Jayne Rylon really knows how to deliver hot & sexy!!!). Enjoyed the book, and I'm definitely looking forward to adding the next two in the series to my collection.

Another awesome read from Jane Rylon this is a rags too riches story that will have you gripped from the first page too the very last.

5 Star Review Going Down (Divemasters Book 1) by Jayne Rylon
This is book one in the newest series Divemasters from Jayne Rylon and I was excited to read this as I have been intrigued about this new group of characters since I first learned about the series. This is Archer Banks and Waverly Adams.
At the heart of this book is that family is not always blood related. Family is who you choose to have in and surrounding you; often it is those friends who become your family and that shone through in this book. I loved the camaraderie between Banks and Archer; at times it was comical reading the banter between them. Archer’s two best friends, who will also get their own books, Tosin and Miguel were extremely interesting characters and I cannot wait to read their stories.
The descriptions of the places they visit came alive to me whilst I was reading and I really felt at times that I could see what they were seeing.
There was regret, miss-communication, romance, hot action, dominance, suspense, danger and mystery woven throughout this book and I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Archer and Waverly is scorching.
Thoroughly loved it and cannot wait to read more in the series.

Archer, Miguel and Tosin have been living a carefree life. They’ve traveled the world’s most exotic location to SCUBA dive by day and entertain the ladies by night. Unbeknownst to Miguel and Tosin, Archer isn’t a typical beach bum—no, he’s a billionaire after inheriting his father’s complete estate, an unwanted estate and all the riches and responsibilities that go along with it.

With the assistance of his family’s long time butler, Banks, Archer works to ensure his new wealth is used for good—donations to charities, establishing socially responsible companies and the Divemaster’s yacht. A yacht that will provide an opportunity for both work and some hard core play.

But their maiden voyage isn’t as smooth sailing as they’d hoped. Archer finds himself having to face a woman from his past, Waverly Adams, who just so happens to work for him. A woman he has been holding onto a crush for, for a decade. Waverly is still crushing on Archer too, and she proves she’s everything he needs to sate his desires.

But when all hell breaks loose, and Archer must protect himself, his crew and his passengers from the dangers surrounding their discovery of sunken treasure, will Waverly prove to be Archer’s fantasy come to life or is she a pawn in the play?

I really enjoyed this first book in the Divemaster’s series. Archer, Miguel and Tosin are brothers in the heart and will do anything to protect each other. Waverly has been hurt in the past and has needed to stand up for herself and on her own two feed for so long, she’s quite enjoying a bit of submission to Archer. And Banks, the “father” they all need to keep them on the straight and narrow. I loved the dynamic between all the main characters, especially Archer and Waverly. There is quite a backstory between these two and as it was slowly revealed, I found myself quickly turning the pages so I could see how things finally played out. I can’t wait for Miguel and Tosin’s stories!
