Ok I officially love this author! Her writing is always great and again with this book the few one liners kept me laughing. This book is all about feeling the love. It is very lovey the whole way through which is exactly how the 2 main characters are. No there's not to much conflict and is mostly smooth sailing, but hey it was a good love story with a good plot.

So captivating! I honestly could not put this book down when i started reading! I have read it 3x and once in one day! This book keeps you on your toes! It has everything from suspence to romance! The characters in this book you can easily get attached to! you feel for them and everything they have to go through.. it really makes you sit back and think, wow people actually put up with this on a day to day basis! GREAT WORK!

I loved this book. Funny, romantic and hot... Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The caracters are fresh and although too much happend to them to be real, I enjoyed reading this book a lot. I will sure read more books from this author.

I really wanted to give this book 4 stars because the story was great and I liked the humor and steamy parts even though it was a little far fetched. But yet again the editing is lacking....in this one it is bad. By no means do I read a book to pick out the flaws. I read to relax and enjoy the story. But when there are 2+ typos on every other page I lose interest and give up on the author. Nor do I care to waste my time and money on publishing that is poorly put together. My opinion of an author is someone who loves to write and when someone has a passion for something they strive to do it well. But after reading 4 books from this author it appears that it is more important to throw it together for the money as opposed to actually doing it right for the readers. Sorry R.L. Mathewson I am going to find better books to read.

I absolutely love this author but this story was a little too "cheesy" for me. Most books are far fetched obviously but this one didn't have me getting lost in it unfortunately. But as for the author....I can't get enough of her books!

The story is not well developed. The characters are nauseatingly perfect. The conflicts in the story are not realistic. I kept thinking it would get better, but it didn't. A Reclusive Heart, by this author is worth your time.

I recently discovered R.L. Mathewson through the "Neighbor From Hell" series and quickly became a fan of her work. However I found this story to be lacking. The hero and heroine are too perfect and it becomes rather annoying after awhile. For instance, the heroine goes from being a wife/mother to a famous author. Ok I can get that, but then she is suddenly on magazine covers as the most beautiful women ever. Then she starts making movies and she's great at that too. It's like everything she does is perfect including being the perfect mother, friend, person, etc. Also there is no real conflict in the book. Yes they have to put up with paparazzi and crazy fans, but it's always over quickly and there is no real danger.

So if you're thinking of buying this book I would recommend picking up another one by this author. Unless you want to read about perfect people who have a perfect life.

I agree with a previous reviewer. These characters are "too perfect" no annoying habits, nothing very interesting about either of them. They look perfect, behave perfect, have perfect children, make lots of money, blah blah blah. Also, as a side note, why do all these authors think the perfect outcome is with the female lead character always getting pregnant? There are many women out here that don't think or fantasize about having babies or even one baby. It's getting to be so contrived and overdone. And every time the characters are using some form of birth control, that of course failed. If people are using birth control it's because they don't want babies, and of course they are always happy when they get pregnant, not realistic! It is not realistic in any way!!
Also, who edited this book? There are so many misspellings, wrong word usages, and grammar mistakes it is ridiculous! Some sentences don't even make any sense!! It's very distracting and annoying. I am glad I only paid .99 for this book!!!

I love the Neighbors from Hell and the EMS series, but this one was frustrating. Some sections are so long-winded, I forgot the thread of the story. In fact , the opening scene and backstory was so long, I put reading the chapter for days. As I read, I continually wondered if it was over yet.

And while the characters are "nice" (I guess), I didn't like anyone. Nothing about their personalities drew my interest, unlike the Bradfords who make me laugh, quote, and re-read. And the EMS made me want to hang out. These characters seemed victims of bad choices and opportune meetings.

Still, Mathewson is a favorite author, so I bought the book despite my boredom and disinterest.

Then the writing was filled with misspelling and wrong words (I hate it spell-check is the primary editor.), missing commas and run-ons, and no paragraph indents. The lack of polish ruined the style for me.

Even worse, the woman's character is inconsistent: she wants to take things slowly, yet she's ready for him a few days later. She's uncomfortable revealing her body around a female family friend, but when they offer money and a contract, she never says no. She was confident, focused, strong, and centered around family and career, but that strong will seems to fade as the relationship grows.

Sadly, I am betting the relationship ends in 8 years.

I love Mathewson's writing, but I cannot continue this series. I need another EMS (Is Eric's older brother still single?)

I can't believe how badly this was written. There was this whole "stream of consciousness" writing in the beginning which was supposed to explain the heroine's back story but in the end just came across as someone blathering away nonsensically like they just had a stroke. The timeline for the heroine's supposed meteoric rise to fame also seemed very illogical and implausible. She gets her first book published and one year later she's on her 3rd or 4th in the series and has been on a convention tour for her book and also managed to work out a movie deal, adapted the book to a screen play and was ready to film and also get trim and fit again? How exactly did she accomplish all that in a span of a year? I would've been more forgiving if it had been over 2 years. That seems believable.

I'm also starting to notice something about the author's attitude towards nurses that came across very loud and clear in this book...she seems to hate them. Almost every book I've read by her (and yes I've read more than one by her) she's always referring to some nurse as an apathetic bitch. As a nurse who tries her hardest to make her patients and their loved ones feel safe and secure, I take great offense to this. Why all the nurse hate R.L.?

Her other books, especially "The Neighbor from Hell" and the "Pyte/Sentinel" series I've enjoyed, but this seemed sloppy and rushed.

i think that this book could have been really good if an editor spent time chopping out some of the really stupid dialog...there wasn't a ton...and deleted the whole business of her posing for maxim and doing movies. those events added absolutely nothing to the story and frankly made it seem stupid. the woman was uncomfortable with her body yet doesn't even flinch about the magazine shoot? she has never acted yet is offered a part in a major movie without an audition? some things were just over he top, unnecessary to the plot, or just plain stupid. they could have been comfortably edited out leaving a good story behind. also i think there was just way the hell too much going on in her life. the whole emt business should have been left out...especially since later in the book she is completely ineffective when cole gets burned.

This book was awesome. I started reading the neighbor from hell Series and now find myself looking for all of RL Mathewsons 's books. The Hollywood Hearth series was also a favorite. Definitely recommend.
