Enjoyed the book made even better by the reappearance of the infamous (but oh so lovable, just ask them) Bradfords. They're like a marauding pack of bears at your campsite. I am now addicted to that crazy family. Please say there will be more books!!
This story has the usual alpha male and the chick with issues, but this time they have a long cantankerous relationship. Book is fun with tender moments and could stand on its own, BUT the Bradford clan only add to it. So more more more pa-leeze.

Truthfully, I'd say this really only deserves 3.5 stars. I just didn't feel the connection with Rory and Connor that I had with the Bradford boys in the past two books. There was too much re-hashing of the past and while it was sweet how he had loved her for so long, the story line with him at 18 wanting to marry her made NO sense seeing as how at that time they had never dated, never been anything more than enemies, so yea, I didn't get that. Overall though, this was another entertaining read, but definitely not the best book in the series

This series just keeps getting better and better. The interactions between Rory and Connor are the best. Ah, that fine line between love and hate. I enjoyed how the Bradfords from the previous books were integrated into this one. This story is guaranteed not to disappoint.

I love the hilarious NFH series and this one does not disappoint! although Jason (we get to catch up with him in this book! yay!) is my all time favorite Trevor and now Connor wonderful too. This book is exactly what you expect from the series where neighbors who completely cant stand each other fall in love. The hilarious journey that they go through to to get there is the awesome ride we get to take with them. Im really hoping that this series continues!

I thoroughly enjoyable book. Another hit in the Neighbour from hell series. I loved Rory so much. She was everything you want in a leading lady. Connor bothered me at times with his cave man attitude, and his periodical doubt of ability that Rory had in doing her job. The two really did make a great couple and were very funny and entertaining. I loved how she incorporated the Bradford's into the story. They were hilarious. It is just a great read. I hope Andrew gets his own story next!!

love this series. it was heartfelt, funny and perfect. the cameos by the Bradfords made it extra good :)

Rory and Connor are too much and I love the back and forth between the two. the love hate thing is done amazingly well. even the usual dumb inner dialogue wasnt too much.

there were times i wanted to stangle Connor and his sexist ways but he redeemed himself.

5++++ stars

Another great addition to this wonderfully awesome series.
Connor and Rory oh my stars let the chaos begin.
Loved seeing the Bradford's in all their crazy glory. Seriously that is just bonus for me,
This series truly is wonderfully funny and just plain awesome.

Another excellent Bradford story. This one is Rory, a cousin of the Bradfords who owns her own construction company. Connor has been her nemesis for the past 25 yrs. There wasn't a day that went by that they weren't torturing each other. When they are both up for the same contract, they must work together or lose out on a lot of money.
This is a hilarious, sexy, story about two people who finally realize that there is a very thin line between love and hate.

The plot of this book is intriguing. The characters are lovable. The attraction is spicy and defies the laws of the expected. The only thing I would change about the book is over-use of specific phrases, like "He made her life a living hell". Yet, in spite of some grammatical redundancy, the love-hate relationship between the main characters is entertaining and draws you in. You will find yourself rooting for both of them in the end.

I really liked this one not as unbelievable as the first two in the series but still good!! Not sure why it hasn't gotten better reviews but I really enjoyed it. Love how Rory is a Bradford by blood. I think that this one was better in some ways, like how the characters free up together and have known each other their whole lives it made for an interesting read. I'm not sure what some of the readers what expecting with this third installment but I was happy with it. Great job!!

I really enjoyed reading this story about Connor and Rory. Their story was definitely different than most and was a good switch that I thoroughly enjoyed. I have read severeal of the neighbor from hell books and I have to say this may be one of my favorites so far.

Loved, loved this trilogy and I hope she continues with the Bradford's.

I was worried at first when the main character is Rory James, but when she introduces the brothers I just know it has to come together....

This trilogy really is just a continuation from the last and what I really appreciated, is that the story didn't rush into thing, and the books weren't short that you felt like reading 3 books was really only 1.

Loved them, highly recommend them.

Nice little story about a boy and girl growing up bullying each other. Both end up as contractors in construction and living near each other. It has the perfect amount of flirtatious foeplay before they actually hook up. I really like Mathewson style, so I tend to favor her books. She is kinda like nora roberts in away, in that once you read one of her books you get hooked into reading them all. Plus most of her books come in series, she keeps her audience entertained.

I loved the first two books in this series! They were funny and sexy with a cute story line. I was shocked that Checkmate was even written by the same author. The story was disjointed. The conversations between characters were tedious to read. A new chapter would start with a new story line and it was like huh? What are they talking about? I can't believe that this author's editors even allowed this book to be published. The only time the writing was good was when there were romantic scenes between Rory and Connor. And for that I give it two stars.

I love this author and this series. The characters are always so different and have wonderfully distinctive personalities and character traits. I am going to continue reading this series and would definitely recommend the third installment to anyone.

I really liked the first two books in this series and have read all the books for sale that this author wrote that is available on the store, so I am startled that I really didn't like this book as much. The hero and heroine both needed a therapist. I guess psychotic people deserve each other is the moral of this story. It was nice to see characters from the first two books.

I absolutely loved the first two books in this series. I wondered if the third book would keep the smiles and laughs coming, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The main two characters, Rory and Connor, have what seems to be a "love/hate" relationship. They love to one-up each other's pranks and basically make each other's lives as miserable as possible. I loved all of their pranks, plots and antics.
The book starts out with some very funny moments between the Rory and Connor, while growing up. I was literally laughing out loud! While these two aren't food-crazy like the Bradfords, they do get banned from many local establishments for some very funny pranks that they pull on each other.
I couldn't put this book down... just ask my husband! If you liked the first two books, you will enjoy this one as well!

This book makes every girl think back to that one little boy in grade school that always went out of their way to be mean...and smile.

There were parts that seemed out of place or that Collins and Rory had ADD as the story veered to odd memories that lasted a few pages at a time. Although that annoyed me, it just shows how much I wanted to get back to the two of them.

After Playing for Keeps and Checkmate, I can't wait to start NFH book #3

Well 12 plus chapters of animosity and fights is getting old. Rory is sometimes childish and Conner isnt much better.
I don't even really like anyone.. I at first didn't know the were related to the other books love that family. It did improve

I like R.L Mathewson's books. But more specifically, I really love the NFH series. The Pyte books are meh for the most part, but Checkmate is another great entry for my favorite series. Unlike her other series, the NFH books are fun, a bit (okay, a lot) zany, kinda over the top, laugh out loud funny, and always sweet without being saccharine. I feel like all her heroes in the NFH series are better drawn - they're all alphas, but they're sweet alphas who are funny, confused when in love, and completely devoted.

This entry is different from the prior books Perfection (A Neighbor From Hell)and Playing For Keeps (A Neighbor From Hell Series)in that the hero, Connor, knows from the very beginning that he's in love with Rory. Whereas in Perfection and PFK it's the Bradford boys slowly coming to the realization (being the very LAST ones who figure it out after everyone else knows they're in love) that being possessive and protective and crazy jealous means they're in love, this time it's the heroine, Rory, who slowly figures out through the span of the book that she's in love with Connor, who has tortured her since preschool. But I suppose that make sense since she's a Bradford? (well, a Bradford cousin). Yes, the Bradfords are in this book - Jason and Trevor are both in it - and there are big jokes about their appetites and abilities to shut down buffets which you can appreciate more if you've read the prior books. Haley and Zoe also make appearances - but it's never forced, so even if you've never read the prior two entries, you won't be lost at all. You'll have a greater appreciation for this book if you have the background, but it's fine as a stand alone.

So if you've liked the prior two NFH books, you'll love this one. Lovable hero, adorable (but tough) heroine, fun family craziness, big Bradford men, humongous Bradford appetites, people who aren't TSTL and no big misunderstandings. What else could you want from a fun romance novel?

This is my favorite story yet in this series!! Conner and Rory are so perfect for one another! I laughed so much at their antics, her crazy brothers and the way they tormented each other throughout was just hilarious!! I was so glued to my kindle throughout this whole story..after everything they did to each other I just knew that once they got their deal going that the fire between them was gonna be so much more!! Awesomeness!!

Oh how sad and disappointed I am. I was skeptical when I read the first book in this series but quickly fell in love with the Bradford family only to have them taken away from me in the 3rd book. I'm going to honest I didnt -couldn't- finish this book and that rarely happens even when I don't like a book. I just couldn't take anymore. Maybe if the crazy pranks and antics had stopped in their youth it wouldn't have made the book so ridiculous. They hated each other yet lived in houses so close together they could climb from one balcony to another? And he was secretly in love with her and thought she deserved to be "worshipped" yet he was single handedly trying to put her out of business?!?! And don't get me started on the pointless hot cocoa addiction that is CONSTANTLY being mentioned. I loved the first books so much because they made me laugh so much but these 2 characters made me want to strangle them and not in a loving, playful way. Now I'm afraid to even read the next books in the series even though the Bradford boys are back. I really am sad about this book and it pains me to say it but if this had been the first in the series I would have never read anything else by this author.

There were times in the beginning of this book that I almost put it down. The H is a huge a-hole!! There were some things that he said and did that really made me dislike him and actually get mad. But I kept reading because I really liked the other books in the series. Turns out that was the right decision. Another good addition to the series.

Great banter, great history! I had fun laughing my way through this book. Multidimensional characters... they bully each other and can't help but love each other! IN the mood for humor, this series is hilarious! I go back and forth between the first book and this one as being the funniest and my favorite of the series. Right now it is my favorite... but either way (1st place or second) it is a good read!

I loved Conner and Rory's crazy history together! The epitomy of the love-hate playground relationship. These two were a lot of fun to read about, and I liked the added working environment to their story. It was fun to see Jason and Trevor pop up in this book too, because they always provide more laughs than you can imagine.

I absolutely love the NFH series!! Hot alpha male? check! Spunky heroine? Check! There were so many laugh out loud moments and I absolutely loved the prologue! It gave us a brief glimpse into the how the main characters met and how you know they are meant to drive each other crazy!!

Although I liked Jason and Haley's story a little better and has been, sadly, comparing all contemporary romances to Playing for Keeps, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Rory and Connor's story! I would totally recommend this read ;).

I read this book before the others in the Neighbors from hell books. The reviews that I have read make this one seem like it is a less worthy book. I on the other hand LOVED the book. I loved the one-ups they pulled on each other, the sweet moments made me go ohhhhh how sweet and the sex I cheered for every "O". Sorry I like my men to give a woman a hard time, even more love it when the women can give as much or not more back.

This book is a great read and I will most definitely buy all of the authors books out right now.

And again... Third times a charm! I loved it!! Great story, great characters! Made the mistake if reading reviews before this book & almost didn't read it cause some people are stupid. So glad I took the chance! This book is a true soul mates book! Talk about true love! And again we get to see the characters from the first two books & I laughed my butt off! I will read these 3 books over & over!!!

"Absolutely loved this book. I think it's the best one of the series. I was wondering where the Bradford boys were going to come into it and thought it was awesome when they showed up. The banter, abuse and emotional connection between Rory and Connor I fell in love with. It made me laugh at the end to know that even in her state they still manage to get themselves in and out of trouble."

The first in the series was very funny. Jason cracked me up. The second was even better. I think I was seriously crushing on Trevor. This one was good but I was getting frustrated with Connor. I did love seeing so many of the Bradford and James family in this story. I do hope this series continues. I would definitely recommend this book.

All of the Neighbor From Hell books are fantastic. Their book covers are cheese and they are cheap but so entertaining and wrote from both main characters points of view. I could not put this book down. It was funny, had romance, sex, and kept me wanting more. The characters were very developed and the past and present relationship between Rory and Conner was in depth and just made it a pleasure to read. I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out.

I enjoyed this book...when it was published in 2012!!! What is going on with the release dates listed on this page? Is this the author re-releasing the book or an the store glitch? Somewhere in the description it should cite that this book came out years ago so that fans of the author don't buy the book again.

Love the Bradfords! I wish these characters existed in real life! This whole series is great and you won't regret reading them. The guys are hilarious and the women are too. The characters have many flaws but they are real lovable.

I'm sorry, the bickering relationship described in this tale is insane. Some of the stuff the H/h supposedly did to each other is completely bonkers. Other than that, another well written addition to a very good series.

I've read several mixed reviews for this book, and while everyone has their own opinion, and are happy to share it, we must always understand that when a writer writes, it's about a world that he/she has created, with characters they live with until the book is completed. And before we rip an author's work to pieces because it doesn't go exactly the way we might think it should, try sitting down and writing a book, and then sending it out to the world to be read. It's a scary thing.

This 3rd installment of "The Neighbors From Hell" series was as entertaining as the first two, and I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing I found odd was even after the hero admits to himself that he's in love, he still intends to lure her brothers away to work for him and run her out of business, and thinks that's ok and she'll happily fall into his arms. But this is the way the author saw the story going, and I respect that. If all stories were written the same, with perfect characters who trotted along the way the reader felt they should, didn't screw up (and who hasn't screwed up at some point?) it would be a boring prospect when buying another book. One thing I can say for this author, is you will never be bored with her work.

Each writer has his/her own style, and I adore this author's work. Will I read it again? Yes, and I've recommended it to others who enjoy humor, hot love scenes, and over the top characters. Yes, we were reunited with characters from the previous two books, and I enjoyed catching up with them. Will I buy her next book? Absolutely.

Thank you, Ms. Mathewson, for another entertaining read. That's what it's all about.

Growing up together tormenting each other only fuels the competition when a young woman and her handsome neighbor go nose to nose on a bid for a construction job. Trying to guess what will happen next will keep you laughing...because they don't follow the rules. LOVE THIS SERIES!
