Mimi's confrontation with Josh (after the nasty email) made me laugh and see red at the same time. Gawd! Josh was a ludicrous d*ck. I think Mimi could quite possibly be the neighbor from h*ll. I mean- what she did to Max to win that first bet. Who does that? I guess all's fair in love and war. Mimi was truly over the top. Her gramma was really an insightful person or a medium. Lots of good banter, laughs, lust, and a storyline that's interesting and keeps you reading. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review.

Having a weekend of reading books back to back this one provided me with the laugh out loud moments that had me hooked from page one! Mimi and the gorgeous neighbor next door, Max, have some great chemistry and some steamy moments that certainly have you hot under the collar!

The sassy and brilliant Mimi had me in stitches throughout and the banter between her and Max just adds some fire to their chemistry! One certainly not to miss...a real page turner!

Wow! I love finding new authors whose books I loved reading. My first book by this author, I will be looking for her next. What an adorable, funny, hot romantic ebook. I love how the author presented the Max character - the book was so much fun, the characters we well written, the story well written. This story is about a bad boy billionaire who finds his neighbor attractive and goes out of his way to have her fall for him. He has this sweet side to him when it comes to her. Mimi is fun and sassy and very competitive. Loved it.

A true masterpiece this was has been a truly great read. Max and Mimi light up the book from page one when she hears her only neighbor newest plaything screaming about his large anatomy. As we learn about how our characters we find the best in both of these incredible people. River has brought us another swoon worthy book. Cant wait to see what is next!!!

This book gave me, what I expected. River Laurent did not disappoint me. She has again written an amazing book.
I got through a lot of emotions: laugh, grin, angry, sad, mad, sighing and more. Very well written story with fast tempo.
The book has drama and action from the first chapter. Chemistry is flowing all over the pages between the two main characters.
The story caught me and I had to read it all through to see, what happens next. A different romance story line and plot.
Worth the read!

I received an ARC of this book. First time reading this author. Glad I signed up to review this book. I really enjoyed the interplay between Mimi and Max. It was refreshing to have both characters falling in love. I loved the trials and tribulations it took before getting to the HEA. I loved that Max could stay in control so Mimi did not embarrass herself in front of others. I absolutely love the scene where Max makes sure Mimi knows what he's all about. This is a must read romance. Thanks River!

Max and Mimi ate my favorite characters so far from this author. As next door neighbors they have a love/hate relationship until Mimi's relationship with her boss blows up in her face. Enter Max the Knight in dinged Armor. The next thing she knows she's developing feeling for Max until a secret about him comes to light.
River Laurent is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to see what's next!!

Loved reading about Max and Mimi expesially their bantering back and forth and teasing each other.Their is a little bit of each emotion in their story both afraid of life and what it truly means to be alone or with someone as strangers that you thought you hated and fate just happens.The whole story was great and I loved how their story played out even if they had to work for it and deal with lots of secrets,the chemistry was amazing.I voluntarily read a readers copy of this book

I believe this is the first ebook I've read by River Laurent and it won't be the last! I totally love Max despite what he did to Mimi. The plot was terrific and entertaining. I loved the characters who were well-developed and easily relatable. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout the book. Once I started I couldn't put it down! The cover is awesome too! I will definitely be reading more of River's books!

Be still my beating heart...this book is so freaking good!! The storyline is awesome; the primary and secondary characters leap off the page as you read; the plot twists kept you hopping...and the HEA? It's perhaps the biggest twist of all! ? I just wasn't ready for the story to be over. You really need to grab this book today--I've already read it twice today. ❤️

This book absolutely yanked me in from the very first page with the well developed storyline and not to mention the well defined characters that kept me hooked until the very last page! I adored the banter between Max and Mimi and the chemistry between these two characters had me totally captivated. I felt like I was peering through their window watching as their story unfolded!

Mimi and Max are delightful characters. Mimi has been hurt in the past and is determined to not let herself get into a position where someone can do that to her again. Max is equally determined to get her to let her walls down. Their chemistry is scalding and the story is compelling and, at times, keeps you guessing enough to make you want to keep flipping those pages.

Loved this witty, romantic , page turner! Mimi is very independent, strong, & smart. She has to deal with a real jerk or two, but sometimes a jerk can turn out to be a prince, even if he didn't even know he was. I loved the sweet romance and HOT Max! Witty, fun, and hot! Max and Mimi are great together and their banter kept me in stitches. There was a twist toward the end that I totally saw coming and another that completely caught me by surprise, but twist or no twist, the whole dang story was great. The hilarious dialogue combined with the fan yourself hotness make this one a winner.

I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry and boldness of the characters kept the book lively. I thought the story was great from beginning to end. I do not like to give spoilers away. I will say that you should check it out if you like a light hearted love story with some hot sparks.

Max and Mimi's story is so refreshing and delightful. It is so amazing that two such polar opposites can be the perfect match for each other. The writing of this book is great. The story line starts off a little slow but it gets better and better as you go.
