Audio-book: Narrators - Maxine Mitchell and Brett Galliford

Holy crap!!! I have never heard another male narrator do such a freaking amazing job with a character like Mr. Galliford did with Jackson Cody! I am not a swooner nor do I like to pretend something caused me to swoon (okay, not quite true) but his rendition of Jackson was so perfect, I didn’t want this book to end. So deep and smoky, that rough drawl and lazy inflection just about set my listening device on fire! The only complaint I had was the actual recording. His voice is on such a deep register that even at the loudest setting for my speakers I couldn’t hear him over the sound of running water or daily activity and that was with the speaker right next to me. I had no problem at all hearing Ms. Mitchell’s voice. Not sure what caused the issue but had his voice not melted butter, I would have stopped listening as I had to do so with my earbuds rather than with the speaker that I prefer.

Ride is a little angsty, a little bit forbidden, and a lot of steamy. The chemistry between Mae and Jackson was electric. However, Jackson tended to turn to other women a time or two after spending time with Mae. While I’m aware men will be men, I want my hero to not be able to tolerate another woman around that isn’t his woman much less allow her to sit on his lap as he holds her butt. I’ve read a lot, although not all, by this author so I was surprised by this activity as I haven’t seen it in anything else of her’s. To say I was disappointed is an understatement and it not only took me out of the story it made me not like Jackson, despite the narrator’s deep baritone.

However, once this couple get their act together and decide what their next step is, I was on board with them being together. Everything from that point onward felt organic to their relationship even if they were having to sneak around in order to protect her job. The reasons given that caused the fear of losing her job felt contrived and I had to force myself to overlook it and move on.

I did like these characters both individually and together. They were pretty well developed and I enjoyed their easy camaraderie as well as the humor they shared. Their sexy times were intense and their fun times always made me smile. The conflict was more in line with “what am I going to do with the rest of my life” and “how not to get caught with the star so I don’t lose my job” kind of thing with neither really going anywhere with much drama. It was all smoothed over rather quickly and almost absently but I was all good with it. There’s a nice little epilogue and while this is not my favorite of this author’s, I did love the audio portion and ended up enjoying the book a considerable amount.

5 Bull Riding Star Rating!

Ride is an excellent combination of lovable and interesting characters, unique plot, some scorching hot scenes and a heartwarming romance. This story has what every story needs a dirty talking cowboy and a spitfire good girl. Once again the author has transported the reader into the story. In this case, the reader is in the rodeo scene. Roxie Noir has made it so believable that you feel like you are riding the bull or about to be trampled if you don't get out of the way. You don't have to be an expert on rodeos or love to read about cowboys to enjoy Ride, because you are drawn in / captivated from the beginning by the characters' lives. I laughed, cried, fell in love, and got choked up while reading this story. I believed in and loved Mae and Jackson's relationship. It started and grew into something wonderful and real. I loved the development of their relationship. I feel that the author made the characters so believable, that you could meet them at the store or on the street. I didn't want the story to end and leave / let them go. Corny as it sounds, in my opinion it is a sign of a great writer / storyteller. Oh Roxie, what you do to me? Ride checked off every box for me. I loved it. It is a must read. *Possible Spoilers*

Lula Mae Guthrie, a small town girl from Texas, has always been good girl. One night she meets a young man and is almost a very bad. That night reminds Mae what she wants for her future. She didn't want to be stuck with a dead-end job and a couple of kids while still living in her hometown. So, Mae did anything that she had to in order to get out of her hometown. Mae goes off to college and becomes a photographer in New York. Her future changes when Mae get a call from Sports Weekly. It is her first big assignment and will take photos of the bull riders/cowboys at Pioneer Days Rodeo.

Jackson Cody is a bull rider/cowboy from Oklahoma. He is famous for his bull riding abilities and womanizing ways. Jackson is a true cowboy through and through. He has the scars to prove it. Jackson is a very cocky. He feels that he is best at bull riding and chasing buckle bunnies. Women rate Jackson on Ride A Rodeo Stud, and he has a 4.7 rating. While preparing for the rodeo, Jackson is told that he is going to be interviewed for Sports Weekly. When Jackson is introduced to the photographer, he remembers Mae from 6 years ago. She is the girl that Jackson could not forget and often see in his dreams. After trying to charm the pants of Mae literally, Jackson is told to behave and leave her alone. He tries to focus on the Pioneer Days Rodeo and prepare to move on to the rodeo in Vegas. Mae is also warned to stay away from Jackson by her coworker, Bruce, for the sake of her job. Jackson and Mae are drawn to and tempted by the other person.

Mae and Jackson have a secret affair, so she doesn't lose her job. It starts as a casual fling. Mae and Jackson each want something more, but don't know how the other person feels. When these two come together, the sex is extremely hot and combustible. The places and ways that they love each other is very creative. "Wink" Yum. Jackson and Mae were a naughty influence on each other, but sweet influence as well. I loved that they got to know each other through text messages, postcards, video calls, phone calls, holding hands, sending gifts, and time spent together. This element / part of the story allows the reader to become invested in story. Mae and Jackson the perfect fit for the other. Mae knows Jackson's past and scars, but she loves him anyway and would never walk away. Jackson believes that Mae is too good for him, but doesn't mind ruining a kitchen table or embarrassing himself.

A few of my favorite quotes were:
"You are what I need.."
"Your dirty talk could use some work."

I was given this arc book in exchange for an unbiased review. ** I enjoyed this book so much, that I promptly went and purchased this book!

Title: Ride
Author: Roxie Noir
Designation: Steamy Contemporary Bad Boy Cowboy Romance, Full-Length Standalone (Appr0ximately 200 pages), NO Cliffhanger
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: Five Hot 'Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy' Stars*****
**Although my review may not be shown as a verified purchase. Ride was included as a free bonus in my book purchase of Roxie Noir's steamy Contemporary Bad Boy Firefighter Romance, Torch, and it was so darn good, I wanted to pass along a few comments about it as well.

Wow! Save a horse; ride a cowboy! I've said it before and I'll say it again; Roxie Noir knows she can ride smokin' hot romance and Ride is no exception! I loved it! Ride is a fabulous full-length, fast-paced, well-crafted, well-edited steamy contemporary western tale filled to the brim with pulse-pounding danger, heart-wrenching drama, agonizing angst, laugh-out-loud humor, heated attraction, fiery passion, heartwarming romance, and let's not forget the hot handsome cowboys. Oh my! Although Ride is not technically classified as a second chance romance, it kinda, sorta is since the two protagonists of our story actually meet and 'almost' have a sexual encounter six years earlier. The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with alternating clearly defined his and her perspectives. The dialogue is smart, snappy, humorous, easy to follow, well-executed and flows effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite component of this and every Roxie Noir story is the cast of very realistic yet life-like characters. I was instantly smitten with the two protagonists, cocky champion rodeo bull rider Jackson Cody and beautiful talented up and coming photographer Lula Mae Guthrie. Jackson and Mae complemented each other perfectly and completely captured my heart. Noir skillfully combines every single one of these elements to craft a deliciously cute realistic romance that is sure to warm your heart. Did I like this story? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language and some steamy, dreamy love scenes. Hubba! Hubba! AS I said, Noir knows she can write some smokin' hot romance! Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! Was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my ereader, my heart fluttering wildly in my chest with the pages flying as quickly as the time. It was fabulous!

There is one thing beautiful eighteen-year-old Lula Mae Guthrie has always known for sure; she wanted a career, one that would take her far, far away from her boring hometown of Lawton, Texas. And she almost blew her chances with a mistake of epic proportions one night shortly after graduation when she attended a local bonfire with her friend, got very drunk for the first time ever, met a handsome cowboy from a nearby town, and while in a drunken stupor, almost had unprotected sex with said hot, handsome hunk. Oh my! Fortunately, fate intervenes when local law enforcement raids the party. She may have been drunk but she remembers that night well and how she could have easily ruined her life and thrown away her chance for the full-ride scholarship she'd worked so hard to secure. Now living and working as a photographer in New York City, Mae is working hard to establish a name for herself when she's offered a job as the photographer for an article in Sports Weekly featuring Jackson Cody, world champion rodeo bull rider. Mae knows this could be her big break until she sees a picture of the man to be featured in the article. Jackson Cody is none other than the hot, handsome cowboy she'd almost had sex with six years earlier. Oh dear! This could turn out to be a disaster, but surely Jackson Cody would never remember someone like her, right? Oh, contraire!

Jackson Cody has worked hard to become the best bull rider in the world and had a whole lot of fun doing it. He's king of his little corner of heaven and has his pick of any buckle bunny he desires but that still doesn't stop him from thinking about the beautiful Lula Mae he met and almost had sex with six years ago. But that was then and this is now. His life has changed and his efforts have finally paid off. He has an opportunity to be recognized the world over while also helping the sport of bull riding gain the recognition it deserves. Sports Weekly is even doing a story about the rodeo featuring him. If he wins at Pioneer Days Rodeo in Oklahoma, he'll be able to compete in Las Vegas. And if he wins in Vegas, he could break the record and become the World Champion for three years in a row. All he has to do is behave himself which shouldn't be too hard to do, right? Wrong! The photographer from Sports Weekly is none other than the beautiful Lula May Guthrie, the girl he almost had and has never forgotten. If he plays his cards right, he might finally have an opportunity to have Lula Mae, but this could be one fall Jackson may never be able to walk away from. And worse, it seems Lula Mae doesn't even remember who he is! Or does she? We'll see!

Lula-Mae (Mae) Guthrie is a photographer and is hired to take pictures of the Oklahoma Pioneer Days Rodeo for Sports Weekly. They are featuring Jackson Cody in the article. At first she doesn’t know who that is so she looks him up on the internet and sees exactly who it is; the one she almost risked her future for.

Jackson Cody is a bull rider. He has won the Rodeo World Championship twice and is going for a record of three in a row. He is in Oklahoma at the Pioneer Days Rodeo where he is being featured in Sports weekly. This is where he sees her, Lula-Mae and “I remembered that voice saying Come on, Jackson right into my ear in the bed of my pickup truck.” (Direct quote)

I have to say this is my favorite book from Roxie Noir so far. You get to know the characters and you can feel the tension, the love and the excitement. This is a fun, sexy and exciting book with a HEA. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the things that were said. The chemistry between Mae and Jackson is steaming hot!

“I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.”

Rodeo star Jackson Cody is charismatic, charming, refreshingly honest and remarkably happy. This guy grabs on to life by both horns and flings it around by its tail. I can't remember the last time I read a romance where the male lead genuinely whistled through his day. It was a welcome change, and Roxie Noir had him tumble into love in one of the most sexy-sweet stories I have maybe ever read.

Photo journalist Mae Guthrie has a career-making assignment covering Pioneer Days and rising bull riding star Jackson. She just hopes the guy with a reputation of pleasing the buckle bunnies on the circuit doesn't remember a certain drunken night six years earlier, when she and the cowboy were both teens. Well, he remembers. And fondly. Despite the unoriginal second chance trope, compounded by the straight arrow girl attracted to the consummate player, this story surprised me with its heart. I love a couple who can laugh together in bed and out.

Roxie Noir threads a scrumptious love story through a rodeo background, long distance video chats, and personal challenges. Nothing is too angsty. The sexy times are plentiful and sizzle. This story had that extra little oomph that simply had me smiling ear to ear most of the time. The banter sparkles, the talk is dirty, and the love grows day by day. Jackson was probably the most gleefully repentant ladies' man I've ever read. Mae was the good girl who found out it is fun to be a little bad with the right guy. It was a pleasure getting to know them.

As a girl originally from Texas, I loved reading about the rodeo. The riders, the bulls, the stadium with the dirt and everything. This book is a great read for those that love some excitement that's not just in between the sheets!

Mae is a photographer on New York working small jobs waiting for a big break. That big break comes in the way of getting hired to shoot a rodeo for a big sports magazine. When she gets told that her main focus will be the bull rider Jackson Cody, the name rings a bell, but she can't for the life of her remember why. When she starts doing some research on him before her trip and sees a picture, it all comes rushing back to her. Her only drunken night at the age of 18 right after graduation she met Jackson at a bonfire and the attraction was instant and intense. She grew up being the good girl but she almost gave it all away in the back of a pickup truck in the middle of the woods. It has been six years since that night and now she's just praying that he doesn't remember her and all of her drunken foolishness.

The minute the photographer and reporter walk through the door, Jackson realizes she seems familiar. Once she opens her mouth he remembers in an instant who she is. The only girl he's never been able to forget--Mae. He's been warned not try and charm the pants off of her, but come on, he's famous for that. After a couple days he lets Mae know he remembers her and everything about her. She doesn't want to risk her career for some hot cowboy, but promises her he can keep a secret. Only problem is, are they going to be able to hide their attraction from everyone else?

Mae and Jackson have intense chemistry from the very start. Knowing they have a history makes the story that much better. They each want each other but they also know what is at stake--Mae's career. Jackson's whole life has been about the rodeo, but will he be able to see beyond that and what it might really mean when he wants only Mae? Will Mae be willing to risk everything at the thought of her and Jackson having something more meaningful than a hot night in Vegas? Great plot, great characters, and a great read. This is my first read from Roxie but it definitely won't be the last--loved it!!

Bull riding is something Jackson wanted to do since he was a kid and rode his first sheep, although its dangerous as hell he enjoys the thrill of it. Plus he only has to stay on for eight seconds then the cute girls will be all over him. Jackson has been the World Rodeo Champion for two years and his sight is set on winning for a 3rd time being the first cowboy to do so, he has no plans of being distracted from this goal. He meets the photographer for sports weekly and he realizes this is the one girl who has stayed on his mind after all these years Mae she acts like she doesn't know him but he will pix that soon.
Mae was giving the break she was looking for and will be taking photos for sports weekly at a rodeo, if she does well he career would be advanced. In doing her research she realizes that she will have to photograph Jackson at the rodeo. Mae meet Jackson one night while out with friends and she was drunk and they made out in the back of his truck but then the cops showed up and boy was Mae thankful for that. Mae tells herself that so many years has passed and they are both adults and they can be professional, but she want ready for what she saw Jackson has grown up 2 and he is just as handsome. Keep things professional wasnt easy especially when Jackson tell her that he still remembers that night and there feelings for each other blossom. Jackson doesn't want their relationship to get out because it can mess up her job but when Jackson got hurt Mae didnt care who found out about them. All Jackson could think about was Mae and being with her even though he was in pain and he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

First things first, I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. Roxie has done it again. She has brought another story to life. It was different for me reading it since I live in Oklahoma and this book takes place near where I live. Even though the town is fictional. We have Mae and Jackson, they met the night of graduation for Mae. She was drunk on Boone's farm wine. Things might of gone farther then they did if the cops wouldn't of shown up. But, she was left with her virginity in tact. Six years later Mae has her photograph career. She is so tired of taking pictures of kids and Santa. She gets a job droped in her lap. A job with a sports magazine that could further her career into the bigger times. When she hears the name of who she is to take pictures of, she knows she has heard of that name before but she cant place it just at that moment. So, she looks it up. Oh no! she thinks. She remembers him.

Jackson, a bull rider. He believes he is good at two things, bull riding and chasing buckle bunnies. He is told to meet up for an interview and pictures. When he sees the girl that is taking the pictures, he remembers her. He likes how she has grown up. He remembers meeting her when she was drunk. Sitting in his lap, him almost getting some of that girl. But then the cops show up. And, she is gone. He goes home with a little situation that didn't get handled that night.

This story seems like it could of been picked from any small town USA. Will Mae make him chase her and not the bunnies? To find out if they reconnect and if Jackson gets rid of his ache you will have to pick this one up to find out.

This was an incredible story of two people who met as teens and almost got together; who find each other 5 years later as adults. The author Roxie Noir did a superb job writing this in a way that the reader can feel the attraction, the desire and the angst of the main characters Mae and Jackson. Jackson is a professional bull rider who enjoys his buckle bunnies attention, and really often. Mae is a good girl photographer htrying to make a living in New York after leaving her country roots behind.
This story was so funny; laugh out loud funny and my family gave me some strange looks at times over the past few days. There are so many great quotes I highlighted, and here are just a few of my favorites:
"Jackson, just be discreet...No loud intercourse in bar bathrooms. No showing your johnson to anyone who asks..."
"I'd bet fifty bucks she remembers me. She's got her hackles up the way women do when they unexpectedly run into someone they're embarrassed about..."
"...he's definitely flirting with me, but from what I've read that's Jackson Cody's default setting."
"Bed the bunnies and ride the bulls, Jackson...And you let Mae Guthrie alone."
"The worse part of all might be that I broke my vibrator a month ago and still don't have a new one."
This book held my attention and I read it on my lunch hours at work and I savoured it until the end.

This book was gifted by the author for an honest review.

You know what was so refreshing about this book? The fact that their were NO major misunderstandings, NO jumping to conclusions, there was NO skanky girl trying to poach Jackson and cause problems, there was NO evil person trying to keep them apart and I did not roll my eyes once!

Jackson is a sweet, hunky, funny, flirty bit of a man slut. Mae is a bit of a nerdy good girl, sweet, smart and very passionate when it comes to Jackson.

Jackson is a rodeo star and Mae is a photographer, they meet up at a big rodeo where she is the photographer for a story being written about him. They met years before one night when she was drunk, a senior in high school and decided to be a little bad for a night, things got broken up before anything major took place. There is an instant attraction when they see each other again, but because of her job she has to be careful. But I loved that even through challenges they made it work, they communicated, they were nice to each other and apologized when they needed too. Sure they had challenges but they figured it out like adults. Mae and Jackson both had some insecurities in their own head, but that did not hold them back. There was lots and lots of sexy steamy time, together, over the phone and Skyping.

I really enjoyed this author and will look for more books by her!

Genre: Romance - Western, cowboys, bullriding
Standalone: Yes
Part of a series: No – Although Roxie Noir calls it a Bad Boys Novel but I haven't seen any overlap in characters.
Steam Level: Cold shower may be needed
POV: Dual Mae and Jackson
Rating: 5/5

This version of Ride contains the complete Copper Mountain Eagles trilogy. This review is on Ride only. I'll do one for the Copper Mountain Eagles separately.

This is the third book of Roxie Noir's I've read and have thoroughly enjoyed all three. Ride is the perfect mixture of story, steam, and hilariousness. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. The characters are compelling and I found myself rooting for them and their relationship. Mae and Jackson having to sneak around to keep their relationship a secret adds an extra layer of tension and suspense to the book. This book was a lot of fun to read and I look forward to reading more of Roxie Noir's books. She's quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Mae and Jackson met several years ago under some pretty embarrassing circumstances for Mae. Now, she's an aspiring photographer in New York City and he's a professional bull rider. She gets a lucky break and is assigned to be the photographer for an article on bull riders and runs into Jackson. She pretends not to recognize him when they meet because she's embarrassed and he does the same because he's curious about why she's pretending not to recognize him. The attraction between them can't be denied and they decide to give in to that attraction even if it could cost Mae her job and professional reputation. Jackson and Mae find soon find that their fling is becoming something more. I will admit that disliked Jackson from the beginning because he was a huge player, but he slowly grew on me when I saw him mature and care about more than just himself. Mae and Jackson are great together. There's no "big misunderstanding" which is common in books. If you enjoy a book with a bit of fun and laughter and a whole lot of sexy, then this book is for you. Roxie's books have yet to disappoint. I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this story about Jackson, a bad boy rodeo star and Lula-Mae,a photographer. They had met each other 5 years earlier and almost did the deed! Lula-Mae is sent on an assignment to photograph this upcoming star. She is shocked to see the boy now a man, who she'd almost drunkenly had sex with. Jackson recognizes her, but doesn't let her know. He is told he has to behave and Lula Mae is determined to keep everything professional. Their attraction is undeniable and Jackson breaks down Lula-Mae's defenses. This story follows them trying to keep their secret, because Lula-Mae is afraid she'll lose her job. The sex is hot between the two of them, I enjoyed their story and how these two people grew as people and their love developing into something lasting. Their banter is really enjoyable and you just knew they belonged together. This ARC was given to me for a fair and honest review.

Another excellent book from Roxie Noir.
I loved Luka-Mae and Jackson. I was totally intrigued right from the start and the email from Roxie with the first few chapters certainly helped with the decision to read Ride.
Even though their history is quite short they both distinctly remember each other and that in itself makes Ride an excellent book.
Their was quite a lot against them both with their careers being the biggest issue but Jackson and Mae definitely didn't shy away from their relationship and things were certainly creative in the sex department. There were some very steamy sex scenes in this book and for some of them they weren't in the same room. I loved Mae's name for Jacksons home - The Jizz Trailer??.

Very, very well written. I absolutely loved it. I grew up around rodeo's and this took me back there. Love those hot cowboys. They are such a hot couple. Once she lets loose, wow. I hated to see it end. I couldn't put it down and was up a lot later than usual. Totally worth it. I will definitely read this again. I only do that when they are this good. A sweet, exciting, very hot love story. Some of the parts are laugh out loud funny. I highly recommend this book.

I LOVED this book. I loved the characters, the story, the ending... all of it. This book wasn't particularly deep - if you like angsty romances with one or more seriously flawed characters, this is probably not the book for you. The romance was so super sweet and believable and no one treated the other person poorly. I also have to say it was refreshing to have a story about two real people versus the poor struggling artist and the rich athlete/billionaire/rockstar. I loved their long distance relationship and how that developed. The dialogue between the characters was great - it was witty and entertaining. I read this through my Kindle Unlimited subscription but I can see myself going back and reading parts of this book over and over again so I might go ahead and buy it. All over, the perfect sweet read.

Outstanding! This story grabs your heart from the beginning, heats it up with sweet loving, frustrates it with the necessity of secrecy and then pulverizes it with a tearjerker scene near the ending. There is no putting this book down. Mae and Jackson's story is priceless and worth keeping around for rereading. Jackson is a famous bull rider from Wyoming and Mae is an up and coming photographer out of New York hired to photograph Jackson for a piece in Sports Weekly. Jackson & Mae had a brief encounter a few years previously but now their work brings them together for a wild ride in addition to bull riding. The telling of this story is definitely by the hands of a skilled word craftsman. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I can't say enough good words to give it justice. Five stars.

The chemistry between Jackson and Mae is off-the-charts hot and sizzles from the first time they meet. Lula-Mae fights her attraction to Jackson for what seems like forever, but when she gives in, watch out! Even though it could affect her career, a career she's fought hard for - that is the strength of the pull between these 2. And Jackson? Yum. He's a bad boy, but kinda sweet. He gets to join my short list of all-time favorite book boyfriends. I'm not telling you any more about this book. You just need to read it!! I love everything I've read by Roxie Noir and this is no exception. PS Fox is, I loved your second epilogue. Too cute!!

Five stars.

Loved this book.. Yummy Hotness. Who can pass up a Cowboy!? Jackson doesn't disappoint. He is hot in the arena and out of it. Mea is a Beautiful easy going Photographer. Jackson and Mea are no strangers. They meet before at a party when Mea was 18 and drunk. Now she is hired to take pictures for sports weekly of Jackson and the Rodeo. Sparks fly and memories are made. This book is a steamy read. Great writing with plenty of drama, laughs, and love. Everyone deserves a HEA even if he has a 4.7 rating with the Buckle Bunnies. It only takes Love to change you..

I received an ARC for an honest review. Wow. Just wow. I'm sorry I'm done reading this already! This was amazing! Hot, steamy, sexy. Too cute!!

This book was great! I haven't read many cowboy/bull rider books so this definitely stands out! It's revealed pretty early on that the two main characters met in the past so they do have a tiny bit of history. The pacing of the story was done really well, in my opinion. I also really loved that the angst was over with pretty early on. There was some drama but it was pretty minimal.
I previously read Loaded by this author, which I loved so much!! So definitely check that out after this book (they are not connected). Two solid books from Roxie Noir gives me a lot of hope that her next book will be just as good! Loaded is my favorite but Ride is a very solid read!

Being a 100% bonafide City Girl, I have never actually been to a rodeo, much less fantasized about cowboys. So I didn't really know what to expect from this one. Initially I was not crazy about Jackson either since he was such a luv 'em and leave ' em (without knowing their names) kinda guy. But I must say, the chemistry between Jackson and Mae blew me away as did his about face when it came to being a one woman man! This story was full of Laugh Out Loud moments and tender heartfelt moments as well. I read this book in one sitting... couldn't get enough! Abso Loved this story and am looking forward to many more Bad Boy stories from Roxie!!!

Oh wow, this book was brilliant!!!

Mae gets a last minute job photographing an up and coming rodeo star Jackson Cody. But why does that name ring a bell?  This story was so good, it was funny, sexy and hot as hell. Roxie Noir is one of the best, at writing sex scenes, she's descriptive in a good way and always satisfies.  Jackson and (Lula) Mae were freaking adorable characters, this book will definitely go on my To Be Read Again pile, I absolutely, positively loved it!
I would highly recommend you go get this book it's fabulous!!!

I was lucky enough to receive this ARC free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun ride, pun intended. I was entertained and kept turning the pages. Jackson is the typical man whore, Mae is the quiet nerd. They met 8 years before and things did not end the way they both wanted. Now they have to keep things a secret so Mae does not get fired. Roxie Noir made me laugh with Mae and Jackson's banter and dirty talk. The sex was hot, steamy and full of dirty talk. It had moments of that were slow, but I was still entertained. In may opinion this is not Roxie Noir's best but it was still fun for me. I read on Kindle Unlimited.

Yeehaw! Gotta love me some cowboys. This story is hot, hot, hot. Jackson and his cocky bull riding attitude and Lula-Mae struggling to resist the forbidden fruit. She knows he's no good but she just can't say no. And it's a beautiful thing when they do decide to take a chance on each other. I love that they had a connection that they both remembered fondly from their youth. I read this in all one setting because there was just no way I could get away from the drama. I recommend this highly to those looking for some country loving.

Ride is a very well written romance with characters you can't help loving. Mae is a photographer trying to get her career going. Jackson is a star bull rider from her past. When Mae gets hired by a well known magazine to take the photos for a feature article on Jackson, she has trouble controlling her lust for him. Jackson keeps trying to get her into his bed, and when does, it's so hot your ereader will practically burst into flames. Also the dialog between Mae and Jackson is hilarious. This is a terrific book! I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

i connected with this book right away (who doesn't have at least 1 embarrassing story to tell that involves sex and/or alcohol????). I liked the female lead, Mae. She was independent and funny and accomplished, but felt real to me. Jackson was HAWT - I love this cowboy. I like how he learns and grows in this story. It is hard for me to believe the MCs are so young. They feel older to me. This story has depth and emotion to it, and definitely sizzle. I wish this writer had more cowboy stories published!!!! I hope she writes more - I'd definitely buy them!! Loved this.

The first story, Ride, was really good! Enjoyed the characters, enjoyed the story line! The second story Predator was another very good story and really enjoyed the characters. I always enjoy Roxie's shifter stories! Prey was really good and I like that it tied in the characters from Predator. I always enjoy recurring characters and hope that these characters show up n future stories. The third in this series Protector is tying the characters from the other two stories and explains the death in the first story. I would like to read more of these characters.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It's not just a storyline where a couple meets then later reconnect. .. Mae and Jackson 's story is hot, fun, and a "ride" you want to be on yourself . I found myself rereading passages amd picturing what it would be like to be in that situation. It was a great quick read I couldn't put down. Don't pass this one up. The extra pages were well appreciated by me and worth the short delay. Roxie, thank you for another GREAT hot read (as per your usual).

I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review. Oh my god I loved everything about this story. Jackson and Lula-Mae almost set my kindle on fire. Their story was beautifully written. We get to see the nitty gritty of the rodeo world while also seeing a budding relationship. Jackson and Mae are so open with each other. The sex scenes are so real and erotic. I would highly recommend the story to anyone who wants a hot, steamy, funny, sexy, gritty, heartfelt romance with a happily ever after.

OMG!!. Loved it!. Quirky, funny, sexy, and hot. You can't help but chuckle and smile during parts of this story. I could not put it down. Two young teens meet young and don't see each other again for 5 years. Now she is a photographer taking picture of a rodeo he is in. Can they make it work? You just have to read it. I definitely recommend this book!!

I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way

This book was so well written and interesting that I want to read it again. It had just the right amount of humor and banter. Mae and Jackson have such an amazing chemistry and they are so open and honest with each other. It was easy to see that they were meant for each other. Their story is such a beautiful love story. I did not want to put this book down. It was so hot! I recommend this book highly. It is a must read.

This was a great second chance romance. What is better then meeting a sexy guy, but then things happen and you move on only to end up at the same place years later with the attraction still there. A sexy cowboy who loves to ride, and even with a playboy past still knows how to be the perfect man. If you love cowboys I would recommend this book.

This book had me completely enthralled! I wanted to stay up late and skip work just to read it! Jackson is a cocky bull rider while Mae is a sweet innocent girl and their story couldn't have been better! Lots of emotion in this story. I would laugh one minute then want to cry the next. Worth reading!

I absolutely loved this book! Right from the beginning I was hooked. I actually wish it was longer! Both characters are awesome. Loved Jackson. He might have been a man whore but changed his ways real quick and turned into a sweet heart. I love books that are from both male and female point of few. The story itself was great and had SO much steamy sexy parts. My goodness. You might need a cold shower. Great book. Became one of my favorites!

Will they be able to resist each other? This story will not disappoint! Received copy for honest review
