A fan since the beginning, Ms. Kenyon is still amazing me with her writing. Granted the books are all written in the same tempo and manner but thats why I love them! Mixed reviews had me a little leery at first although now I can't understand why. Excellent, waiting patiently for the next one.

OMG, this book was amazing! Picked it up and could not put it down. So many of my questions were answered in this book. I absolutely loved this story. Can't wait to read Ash's story now. The wait is going to painful, but if Ms. Kenyon keeps writing this way, it'll be well worth the wait!

Wait for the paperback! This is the second book in a row from this author (who I've loved, loved, loved in the past!) that is disappointing.

I read a LOT of romance/paranormal/mystery books every month, between 20 and 30, and I'm going to spend my money elsewhere in the future.

The plot is thin and confused by the introduction of too many characters that yet again require tedious background stories in order to make sense. Where was the editor on this book??? This wasn't so much a Dark Hunter tale as much as a horror novel with sex.

Where's the love story? The refreshing writing that grabs a reader from page one? Its sadly missing in the effort by Kenyon. The violence in her novels is growing more frequent and is basically sickening. I can read the daily newspaper for everyday senseless violence.

I was bored by the last novel and this one just plain grossed me out.

Yes, it was great to have answers to some long overdue questions but this book does NOT measure up to the previous ones in the DH series. I'm back to re-reading my past favorites.

This is the first time I've taken the time to write a review. And I did it this time because I couldn't believe that everyone else thought this was a great book. Must be the "Emperior's New Clothes" syndrome at work!!

The guys are tall dark and gorgeous. The steamy scenes are hot. The fight scenes are out of this world. Once you start reading you are going to be hook. The author did an amazing job creating this world. You have to get this book.

Same story, different names. Kenyon has gotten lazy and can't seem to come up with anything interesting, just silly plot lines with gaping holes. The Acheron/Artemis relationship is just ridiculous and even more so with the explanation in this book. I'll be looking for a new author and series to read.

Hard to believe this came from the same author who gave us Fantasy Lover. The only mature, interesting dialogue comes from Ash. Everything that comes out of Kat's mouth sounds like a thirteen year old with a "me" fixation. Kenyon's efforts at bantering between characters is so amateurish it's irritating.

Another irritation is the near-constant presence of Simi in this book. I can only assume that Kenyon thinks Simi's broken English ghetto speak is funny.

Kenyon's narrative has become so stale and juvenile there's no imagery or character development at all. Maybe she missed the part of Creative Writing 101 when the instructor said "show, don't tell."

Another reviewer commented on the overuse of "actually". Personally, I gave up counting the times something was "incredible." Has she run out of good words or forgotten how to use them?

I read the first love scene, then skipped over all the others. She can't seem to write a love scene that lets the reader mentally become part of what's going on. Instead, she relies on phrases like "..she loved it when he...".

I do not recommend waiting for the paperback. I recommend anyone who doesn't want to waste their valuable reading time to skip this entirely. Bad enough to pay the price for hard cover when it's a good book. When it's a book as bad as this one, it's downright maddening. My copy is already in the trash can.

The best series going is J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. Crisp, tight writing, excellent development of complex characters, witty dialogue and superb narration.

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Heidi

Sin was one of the most powerful gods in the Sumerian pantheon, until the night Artemis tricked him and stole all his power. He’s spent his life being hated by his family, shamed by his wife’s constant affairs (a tough pill to swallow for a fertility god not being able to keep his own wife in his bed), and then being tricked out of his godhood to boot.

After thousands of years Sin can’t believe his luck in capturing Artemis, her hair is different and she’s insistent that she isn’t Artemis, but he knows the truth. Well, at least he thought that until Artemis shows up in his room while his captive was still there. He quickly realizes that if Kat isn’t Artemis that she must be her daughter, something that Artemis has gone to great lengths to hide.

Meanwhile, Sin has been fighting the gallu demons, an especially powerful kind of demon that can turn their victims into one of them with a simple bite. Kat bargains with Sin for him to teach her how to fight them.

However, an even worse kind of demon is getting ready to escape their prison that the Sumerians have maintained throughout the years. Their escape could end the world as we know it, but without Sin’s god powers he doesn’t know how he will be able to reinforce the seal that is quickly weakening. Especially with enemies doing all they can to make sure the Dimme are freed.

This book had a really slow start for me. The first half, if not more, of the book seemed like a big information dump as we learned about the demons and how Sin’s family have kept them contained throughout time, not to mention how Sin lost his godhood. During this time, I was too busy trying to digest all the information that I was failing to connect with the characters. But once I was well versed in all that was going on, I was able to watch the romance between Sin and Kat develop.

We also discovered Artemis’s secret that she has kept from Ash all these years, and it’s a big one! After she makes a deal with Ash that he can never kill her, she reveals the secret at long last. And, worse it seems that everyone knew, but him! It’s a game changer and I liked the side of Ash that it invoked! However, it’s a perfect example of why he hates Artemis so much. This book really shows how ugly and selfish the goddess really is.

Betrayal really seemed to be the theme of this book. We saw how everyone betrayed Sin … his wife, Artemis, and even Kat. It’s no wonder he has such a problem trusting anyone. We also got to see how Artemis took the gift of Ash’s love and betrayed him as well. She could have saved him from so much pain and humiliation, but found her pride more important. In the end, it destroyed his love for her.

This isn’t my favorite book of the series, but I find that we learn so many things that are going to carry into future books. This feels like a really important installment of the series and I did really enjoy Sin and Kat as a couple and hope to see more of them in the future. I loved seeing more of Ash as well.

Speaking of, my most anticipated installment is quickly approaching; Acheron! I can hardly wait!

Sumerian god, Sin was betrayed by Artemis who took his godhood. For centuries Sin has been biding his time waiting to exact revenge and he is getting closer to reclaiming his power and killing Artemis. However, the gallu are back and ready to destroy every human they come into contact with which is causing a distraction towards his overall goal.

Katra's whole life has been a secret, but when Artemis begs her to kill Sin to protect herself she knows she needs to find out why. She didn't expect to be fighting side by side Sin, nor did she expect that all the secrets that she has been hiding to be revealed and hurting Sin in the long run. Will he ever be able to forgive her?

There is a lot in this book that goes on that plays a big part in other books. Filled with characters, if you are a fan, you love. Sin has a major chip on his shoulder but he is a seductive hero who you want to learn more about. Katra was amazing and I loved her whole story. Amazing read.

Sin, a Sumerian fertility ex-god and now owner of a Vegas casino, but as a Dark-Hunter instead of fighting Daimons, Sin is out saving mankind from Sumerian gallu which are more deadlier. They prey on humans which one bite will infect them and turn into a gallu. Artemis stole his powers over three thousand years ago and now with the gallu and Dimme demons trying to escape from their tomb, he is racing against time. Sin is looking for his twin brother, Zakar, who has disappeared and needs his help in fighting and sealing these demons back into their tomb.

Katra who we find out in this book is the daughter to Artemis and Ash. Artemis sends Kat to kill Sin but she finds out the true nature of Sin and his sanity by witnessing the killing of one of these gallu demons. She agrees to help Sin and finds herself falling for him but he soon learns that it was Kat who actually stole his powers.

This brings many characters into the mix with the storyline which you learn more about Ash/Artemis relationship, new obstacles..Dimme, gallu,, alliances to come and upcoming twists. We saw Samerian, Greek and Atlantean pantheons, Dream-Hunters, Demons, etc. coming together in the fight to save mankind from this new threat and sure to see more to come.....

The reread continues! I had forgotten how much this installment affects things down the line. The introduction of the gallu (creatures much closer to traditional vampires than Dark-Hunters and Daimons are), more hints about Ash's past (*sob*), and the banding together of some of the characters that have previously seemed to have their own agenda to stop a threat that could destroy them all - all these things made me *flaily*.

Seriously, there are parts of this book that KILLED me. I've always loved to hate Artemis for the things she forces Ash to do. In the words of Simi, she's a heifer-goddess. But she does have her moments. Sure, they're few and far between and they don't even come close to balancing out her selfishness but she has them. Her love for Katra is one of those things. She let her pride hurt Ash so badly that he only comes to her now because he has to. He gives his obedience grudgingly and she has to bargain for every minute of it. Katra is her tangible link to him. Even though Ash doesn't know about her existence, she is a reminder that once Artemis loved a man who worshipped her. Well, she loved him as much as she's capable of loving.

Honestly, Artemis treats Katra appallingly. Kat puts up with it because she truly loves her. But she's torn between Artemis and Apollymi - two powerful goddesses who each have a part in her world. It must be HARD being Kat.

Good thing she has a hunk of Sumerian godliness to climb all over. Well, ex-god. Still, he's got he hots for her, she has the hots for him. Too bad an impending apocalypse might just throw their relationship into disarray.

The Sumerian pantheon (and all the baddies who bubbled up from it) add another layer to the expanding Dark-Hunter world. Those poor Dark-Hunters. It seems like as soon as they defeat one almost-apocalypse, another one rears its ugly head. Weird, isn't it?

** spoiler alert ** Kat and Sin's story was awesome. I was very happy to learn that Kat was Artemis and Acheron's daughter. Also Appollomy's granddaughter since Acheron is Appollomy's son. Now we know why Kat served Artemis and Appolomy.

Kat's powers are like a conductor where she can be used to take powers from a god.

Sin is an ex-god (fertility god) that Artemis hates but Acheron saved his life along time ago, Sin is not a darkhunter but he is used to kill the other evil called gallu instead of the deamons like Stryker.

Simi (I love her and her BBQ sauce)and her sister had more action in this story and so did the dream gods. Even Hades helped Kat and Sin.

Acheron bonds Sin and Kat together after Kat is bitten by the gallu and there is no way to cure her, so Acheron drains all her blood and has Sin give her his blood - turning her into a vampire where she can only live by feeding off of Sin.

In the end, I think it is funny how instead of Sin wanting revenge against Artemis for taking his powers away from him, that now his revenge is falling in love with her daughter, becoming Kat's mate, and seeing Artemis face when he tells her that she's going to be a grandma now that Sin and Kat are going to have a baby. I absolutely love it.

I really enjoyed this book.

So this is my latest review for the llth installment of Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. I was very much looking forward to this one since it was promised to shed some light on the heroine's, Katra, backstory.

Summary: Sin is a deposed Sumerian god who had his powers stolen by Artemis 3,000 years ago, and who was saved by Acheron, leader of the Dark Hunters, in exchange for hunting down Sumerian demons called gallu. Katra is Artemis's handmaiden who has been sent down to Earth to kill Sin because of what she believes to be his mad and dangerous behavior. Kat soon realizes though that her assumptions about many things, including Sin, were wrong as she and the ex-god are charged with the task of saving the world from the release of Sumerian super-demons called the Dimme.

Pros:

Both Kat and Sin are very likable and entertaining characters. Their backstories are interesting, and I liked the introduction of Sumerian mythology into the story. We also learn a lot more about Katra's heritage and Acheron's in the process. The scenes with Simi, another kind of demon, are funny as always and help to lighten the mood. There are also a couple of other enjoyable side-characters such as Kish and Damien who help to the keep the story entertaining. I also thought the romance was pretty good as well. In previous books, I felt that it sometimes moved too fast or felt too forced, but that was not the case with this installment.

Cons:

Kat and Sin's interactions could get a little annoying with the amount of sarcasm that sometimes seemed inappropriate and out of place given the dire straights they were often in. However, this didn't keep me from enjoying the progression of their romance. Another major problem with the book was Katra and Acheron's relationship. Their interactions at the big revelation did not seem realistic. It felt too quick and too rushed. Also, the ending bothered me because it seems like Acheron just randomly uses his powers to save some people but not others without any sort of rules or reasoning behind the decisions.

Overall, this book was a fast and enjoyable read. Sin and Kat had great chemistry that was occasionally weighed down by the banter between them. All in all, this book is a good lead-up to Acheron's story.

Perhaps for someone who had never read any of Kenyon's Dark Hunters, this might have been a good book, but for me this was tedious. It seemed as if she had merely churned out a book in order to tie up a few more loose ends in the series which had little or nothing to do with story of the book itself. This plot did not seem to me to contribute much to the overall story arc, nor was the story particularly compelling. Although I like Ash, he is getting very boring. By the time his own book comes out, we will know almost all his backstory anyway, and not give two hoots about his future either. Sin and Kat, supposedly the main characters, were not engaging at all, despite the banter.

On a totally different note, I have to ask: Is America the only Daimon/demon infested place on earth? I mean all these gods - the Greeks, Atlantean, Sumatrean, etc. - all come from a totally different part of the world, not to mention the Dark Hunters (remember them?) who come from Africa, Europe, the Middle East. Do vampires not suck blood on the streets of Delhi? Are the inhabitants of Johannesburg immune to Daimon attacks? Perhaps Parisians have a special get out of jail free card for the end of the world?

Frankly, I am amazed Kenyon's world didn't die out centuries ago. In the beginning of this series there was one hinted cause of the Apocalypse: Ash. In this book I counted aproximately seven different ways to destroy the world: Ash, Ash's Ma; the death of Artemis; the death of Kat; releasing demon species number one; releasing demon species number two; the death of any god/goddess - yet despite the wholesale destruction of at least two pantheons, somehow the world still survives.

It seems that lately each book is getting successively more over the top. Each hero must be more tortured, look more evil, control or have the potential to control more power than the previous one. Never-before-heard-of yet centuries-old threats-to-all-humanity (at least those living in North America)seem to pop up every few books with tedious regularity, each more powerful, violent, potentially destructive yet easily defeatable than the last. The heroines have mutated from being strong ordinary women in extraordinary circumstances, to being powerful goddesses who act like they just graduated from highschool despite being centuries old.

This latest offering was rather like reading an episode of the X-Men. Paranormal adolescents on steroids.

Eons ago, when the universe was ruled by more than one pantheon, Sin was one of the most powerful and revered Sumerian gods. However, power breeds jealousy and everyone knows how vicious those immortals could be. Befriended by the goddess Artemis, Sin had fallen prey for her charm, a mistake that would cause him dearly. Stripped of his powers, Sin found himself at the mercy of the Olympians unable to win the battle that wiped out his entire pantheon. If not for Acheron, he would never have survived. For years he has walked among us, having patiently waited for the day when he could seek his vengeance on Artemis, never anticipating the revelation that would greet him as he finally comes face to face with the goddess.

Fearing for her life, Artemis sends the one person she knows she can rely on. A former handmaiden of the goddess, Katra goes after Sin to try and thwart his plan to kill Artemis. But when she ends up being captured by Sin, she learns of the goddess' duplicity and is racked by guilt over her role in Sin's fate. To make matters worse, she also learns that the biggest threat to mankind is about to be unleashed. Knowing that Sin is the only one capable of defeating the Gallu and Dimme, Katra vows to make up for her errors by helping Sin in the upcoming battle.

We know what happens next from here on. The author tells that they have fallen in love sacrificing every need for character development so she could pen some sex scenes. Frankly speaking, it wasn't so much the characters that held my interest, but the revelations that come after. The Gallu, Dimme and Charonte, demons galore! The truth about Katra and the powerful bloodline that she possesses was a welcome surprise. But paramount of all is learning more about Acheron's youth, his relationship with Artemis and the reason why he cannot destroy her. These were what I enjoyed most about this book.

DEVIL MAY CRY had every possibility of being on par with the earlier Dark-Hunter novels. However, the sarcasm between the hero and heroine bordered on being childish and the romance felt too contrived to be believable. Yes, it was good to see the devil meet his salvation and find that he no longer needs to exist on his own, but the romance wasn't to die for. Yet these gripes aside, there is hope for more as we come closer to reading about the ultimate Dark-Hunter: Acheron. I simply cannot wait!

I just finished reading Sherrilyn Kenyon's book Devil May Cry from the Dark-Hunter series for the second time and I couldn't get enough of it! After reading several of her works it dosen't surprise me in the least to learn that she has appeared on the Top Ten list of The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today.

Devil May Cry

Sin is an ancient Sumerian god whose powers were taken away by Artemis, who he has sworn to destroy if their paths ever crossed again. But he has bigger fish to deal with as the demon known as Gallus are hungry for humans. He is only one who has a chance to stop them, but when a mysterious woman looking like Artemis appears before him what's a man to do other than hold her hostage and demand his powers back?

Now he has to decide whether he can shove his craving for revenge against Artemis aside long enough to accept her help, but the road of trust and betrayal is all too familiar to him. Before he knows it not only does the woman have his heart in her hands, but she may be just what he's looking for to save his life when things get rocky, but can he trust her? Or will she abandon him?

I couldn't put the book down. Even after reading it a second time I still feel like I can go back and read it again. Kenyon really puts you there in the moment. She tugs at your heart and as her characters struggle and come to realize you're there bedside them feeling their pain or happiness. She really does know how to keep you wanting more, from her dashingly stunning characters, to her use of the Greek Gods and Goddesses; she leaves out no expense in depth.

Just read any of her books and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Devil May Cry: Dark-Hunters Book 11
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Piatkus

Sin is a Sumerian god who was stripped of his powers by Artemis. He has spent the last 11,000 years fighting Gallu demons while dressed in black leather, and plotting revenge against Artemis. Sin's father created the Gallu and his entire family has been destroyed fighting to keep humans safe from them. The only other person capable of fighting them is Ash, and bound by his promise to Artemis, he's unable to help. So Sin is the only one stopping the Gallu from destroying the earth.

Katra is a goddess devoted to fighting evil. She is also a servant of Artemis, carries out her orders, and is also Artie's lookalike daughter. After being ordered by Artemis to kill Sin, Kat is captured by him. After learning how her mother stole his powers, she decides to make things right by fighting with him to defeat the Gallu and avoid the Apocalypse. Kat is also Ash's daughter. He finally finds about her after 12,000 years.

They must rescue Sin's twin brother, Zakar, from his torture at the hands of the Gallu, as well as stopping the Gallu demons, the Dimme, from escaping. Dream-Hunters, daimons, dolphoni and Chrontere demons team up to offer their help - yes! Simi! Throughout the book we get a clearer hint of Ash's past, his ties to Artemis, and family.

This is a well-written action-packed story filled with known and new characters and very hot romance. A new Dream-Hunter was introduced, Xipher, who sounds interesting! Ash's servitude to Artemis ends with this book and next in the series is his story - so there's anticipation to look forward to.

Short synopsis: Sin is the Sumerian god of fertility. He has his powers taken from him by a Greek Goddess, Artemis. He plots to kill her and get his powers back.

Sin also runs a casino in Las Vegas while doing his part-time job of killing demons who shouldn't be wandering the earth. He has a minimal amount of god-like power that were transferred to him from his dying daughter.

Artemis would like to kill him because she knows Sin wants to kill her. One God, Acheron, who happens to be trapped with Artemis in her Pantheon refuses to because he is Sin's friend and he knows that Artemis stole his powers from him in a very unethical way. He is also the god of fate, so he attempts to do non-intervention whenever possible so that some fate is in the hands of people themselves.

Now, many eons ago, Artemis had a love affair with Acheron when he was human. When he was asked about his whereabouts his alibi was about making sweet monkey love to Artemis. He wasn't believed and Artemis never showed up. So, they kill him off. Acheron hates Artemis now. She's drama, self-absorbed and lame. And when she tries to come to him, he blows her off. She presents a child to him and he thinks its a peace offerring to make up for the death of a nephew (which I don't think is ever mentioned except in this one instance--- which is poor writing to me). Anyhow, he rebukes her not knowing it is his child.

Years later, Artemis asks Kat to kill her arch-nemesis, Sin. Kat investigates and decides not to.

Anyhow, lots of drama and cheese. I'm getting bored writing about this. I finished the book just because I wanted to. It wasn't a page turner.

The steamy parts were mediocre. The plot line had too many subplots. The cheese was stale.

Not a great book, but then again, not a completely terrible one. I bought this book because I remember reading another Sherrilyn Kenyon book in the dream-hunter series and thought that one was good. Then again, this one is book 11, so maybe the author is now stretching the series.

The Story
3000 years ago Sumerian god Sin had his powers stolen from Artemis. Since then he hunts the gallu demons. They were created by his pantheon, but now that it no longer exists Sin and his twin are responsible. The gallu demons make daimons look like kittens. The gallu demons are plotting to release the Dimme demons. That would be the extinction of mankind. Katra is sent by Artemis to kill Sin, but she realizes her mother lied about Sin. Katra jumps into helping Sin. Together they must find the key elements to reseal the Dimme and stop the gallu.

Thoughts
This book is very touching, because Ash FINALLY, after 11000 years, meets his daughter-Katra. Why they kept her from him for so long just pisses me off, I can't fathom keeping that kind of secret. It did make for a very emotional reunion tho. Sin is such a good man, he just keeps things very close to the vest. Katra has made appearances throughout the series, so it was nice to finally get the whole picture. The creativity of new demons introduced was new and refreshing story. The pace is fast and content captivating. I wish there was more of Katra, sin and Ash interaction. This book also sets up more for the book Acheron. Katra fills a huge hole in Sin. It is a very memorable book in the series.

Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series of books has been extremely successful and has now stretched to this, the twelfth instalment. However for me this wasn't a very satisfying story taken on its own and is probably one for long-time fans of the series rather than new readers.

The Dark Hunter series brings together various ancient gods (Greek gods and, in this story, the gods of ancient Sumer too) who fight amongst themselves. There are also various demon and other creatures that cause mayhem and the Dark Hunters' role is to protect humanity.

This story focuses far more on the supernatural element. We meet Sin, one of the ancient Sumerian gods, who has been carrying out a one-man mission to prevent global annihilation for thousands of years. He holds a huge grudge against the goddess Artemis who stripped him of his powers. However when Artemis sends her daughter, Katra, to kill Sin she discovers the work that he is doing to save humanity and joins him in it. Of course Sin isn't aware of who she is initially and even when he finds out she's the daughter of Artemis there are more secrets that she holds from him, things that he might not be able to handle.

There are a lot of secrets in this story. The secret of Kat's existence, unknown to her father Acheron, is one; there are many other things revealed as the book progresses but the most notable thing about this book is the enormous cast of characters and different gods, demons, races. For someone who hasn't read all the other stories there was far too much going on in this story and the backstory was lamentably thin. As the story continued there were more and more supernatural beings added to the mix with their apparently limitless powers and it became extremely difficult to follow the underlying story, that of Kat and Sin. Our hero and heroine were slightly disappointing in that their characters didn't really develop beyond an attraction to each other and I didn't feel particularly sympathetic to them.

Of course when the big secret is unveiled, the one that could separate them forever... it was rather a damp squib. Their mission to save the world is important but they seemed to get sidetracked periodically - including by the bedroom - and the momentum of the plot was rather jerky. Fight scenes are over quickly, people are able to flash from place to place instantly and the gods powers seem to always encompass just what they need to get out of a particular situation. Overall this was a very disappointing book and the cast list was far too wide for someone who hasn't kept up with the series to understand what's going on.

This was a good, fun and funny read. Sherrilyn Kenyon told us a lot of the back story about Ash, which I loved learning. She foreshadows Ash's story nicely, so she will be telling his story. She also introduced many new characters, so I imagine she is planning future novels about them (although I'd like to see more about the Dark Hunters).
This story had a lot of humor and sarcasm, some of which I thought worked well, and which at other times I thought wasn't appropriate. Sin was a great hero, wounded but carrying on. The characters admitted their love fairly early on, so the tension after that was created from the other characters around them.
This leads to the loss of a star. I thought not enough of the story was about Sin and Kat. And I felt there just wasn't the sense of will-all-this-work-out? that the other books had. Of course, they are going to save the world (until next time). They still had all their myriad powers. Even all the bad stuff that happened seemed forced, because there was the inevitable sense all would be fine in the end.
Having said all that, it's a great read. I stayed up late to finish it.

I loved Devil May Cry. It answered many questions I had and was a lot of fun to read. I really liked Sin and I love Kat. The book even humanizes Apollymi.

This one read like an 'end of the world' episode of Buffy. Since I love Buffy, that was fine with me. The interactions between Xirena and Simi was also a hoot but I was a little disappointed there wasn't any mention of Alexion and Danger but oh well, can't have it all in one book.

Sin was just delicious. I loved him and Kat together and found his 'scoobie' support team of Kish and Damien equally delightful. SK has been really humanizing the Daimons lately and I feel for them a lot more especially since Kiss of the Night but it could be because there's something bigger and badder loose on the streets now.

This book really made me hate Artemis. It wasn't because she beats Acheron or because of the flashbacks into his past where she betrays him. It's because after all that, she still refuses to understand what she did was wrong and ontop of that, Acheron doesn't hurt her back when he is able to, right where it would hurt her the most, in her non existent heart.

One thing I did not like in this book was the part where Kat has to make a sacrifice in order for Sin to live. Acheron tells her as soon as she does this, it's permanent. No going back. Yet about five pages later her sacrifice is negated when Sin gives it back to her, as if it's just a little something she gave him to use temporarily and now that he's done with it, he gives it back. That's not a sacrifice. That's letting someone borrow something. Ugh. Since it was the very last part of the book, it really bugged me.

Anyhoo, I really liked the book. A lot of answers were given and I can't wait for Acheron's book to come out. In the meantime I'm going to tackle Xypher's book because SK really intrigued me about his possible story. I also kind of hope there is more of Hades in the future because I'm starting to like the little glimpses I get of him.

It's funny but if you've seen the tx show Hercules and Xena, that's how I picture all the gods and goddesses up there on Olympus.
