This book changed my life, especially the chapters on nutrition. I am trying to follow its recommendation and for the first time in my life, I am not suffering from gas and constripation. I believe that limiting carbs and sugar are the key. Also the section on meditation is very helpful. This is a great book and I highly recommend it.

The term "Brain Fog" has been used recently to describe a mental state where a person experiences confusion, loss of mental acuity, and a lack of focus. This isn't necessary a condition that hits a person all-at-once, but can occur insidiously. Psychologist Dr. Mike Dow dissects the condition in easy-to-understand terms and introduces a 3 week plan to improve your mental clarity and clear the fog. This plan includes an introductory week of dietary changes (decreasing the carbohydrate (sugar) intake that is so inflammatory to our systems) and follows up with an analysis of how social media and being so 'plugged in' can affect our mental state. It even includes tips of enhancing the spiritual side of our lives.
Well-written, scientifically-based, and fascinating, reading "The Brain Fog Fix" is well-worth your time.

Bad info here. There basically 3 reasons why ppl get brain: 1. lack of sleep 2. hypothyroidism 3. stress. Best way to to rid yourself of brain fog is: To never eat wheat of any kind. The wheat of today has been chemically modified and isno longer the same as a century ago. (Dont believe me try it for 7 days). The author recommends diary consumption which is not a good thing. make sure you have an uptake of B12, vitaminD3 and avoid the processed foods. This is what i've done to get rid of my brain fog.

Those moments in which you cannot recall a name or word or even an event can be rather frightening. I'm having my share, so I thought I'd try to see if there was a magic bullet to take care of the problem without major interference into my lifestyle and preferences. The short answer is "no."
There are many factors which we can control but they all require thought and effort. Reading this book I was amazed that, as bad as my habits have been, I can still be coherent. Even so, there are many things that I can do without too much sacrifice, some that will require some sacrifice, and some I am not quite ready attempt yet. The good thing is that the book provides so many opportunities for behavior modification that you can tackle some and see how it goes. You might even find that there were some things you were doing right. The book is pleasant to read and easy to understand.
It isn't limited to the usual "exercise everyday" and "you are what you eat" advice (although there is a great deal of that.) It also goes into other areas of your life that might not be immediately obvious such as the products you clean and garden with, for example. It also goes into such factors as sleep, modern interferences such as computers, phones, tablets, television, etc. The need for human interaction and personal stability are also covered as well as the need to continue to learn and do things you enjoy. The extensive use of medications and how to balance the risk/reward ratio, particularly when it comes to depression.
All in all, it is very well conceived and very well explained. It is probably a blue print for clear thinking for all your life. The only problem I find is that the premise that you can realistically do everything (in three weeks, no less!) is unrealistic--unless you have nothing else to do in life but concentrate on revamping yourself and your lifestyle. My approach will be, now that I'm aware of actions that are positive and actions that are negative, is to adapt my habits gradually, adopt behaviors that will make a positive difference, and as opportunities arise make wiser choices. But I'm not going to feel guilty if I can't do EVERYTHING at once or at all.
