A laugh out loud funny romantic comedy - Big Sexy Love

So off the beaten romance path. In a grand way! The. characters are so odd in a loveable want to hang out with them and be a part of their odd circle. Brewster is the best friend everyone should have.

I am from Oldham like the author so I was excited to see this novel as part of Kindle unlimited. I began reading with no prior knowledge of the author and no expectations but I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I have a Master’s in British Victorian lit and work as a writer (in marketing), and I found once I’d hit 60% I couldn’t put it down. I stayed up late one night trying to find out what would happen to quirky play-it-safe Olive and the array of offbeat characters. It’s part fun, rom-com, and wish-fulfillment in one.

I loved this book. It was funny, heartfelt, sexy, and well written. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting a lighthearted but tender book. I’m smiling and happy that all the themes and characters came together to the very end.

I loved this book. I don't review things very often but I wanted to do it for this book because it is special. It is really funny and the characters are very likable. I definitely did laugh out loud. You should read it!

If you don't mind figuring out the GB vs USA language idioms, this is a great read. It starts out slow, but when Olive starts out on her adventure the laughs never end. Then ending is superbly crafted, and quite unexpected. Would recommend to anyone looking for an escape with romance and humor.

What a wonderful book. I felt I was right there with Olive every step she took. I also have a great friend who almost lost her life but I have been blessed. I will be reading all Kirsty Greenwoods books.

What can go wrong, does go wrong for the heroine in this book. Things you'd never even be able to imagine. Personally, there was too much vulgar language in this one for me -- a little over the top and unnecessary, but overall I liked reading it.

This has the fun, quirky, slapstick humor of Bridget Jones where the main character didn’t take herself too seriously sewn together with a peppering of bittersweet, touching moments a la Nicholas Sparks.

I can't say enough good things about this book! It's got a little bit of everything! If you're looking for a hilarious, romantic, dramatic read this is definitely the book for you! It immediately sucks you in and you feel like you know the characters. I can't wait to read more from her.

This was laugh-out-loud funny with awesome British humor. I just loved her thought processes and phrases she used. It made me laugh and cry - just what I love to do when reading books. The characters were so strongly developed that you had to fall in love with them all! A great beginning, an awesome middle and a dynamite ending! I recommend this for anyone looking to get away from the dark and depressing novels out there!

I loved this book! The quirky humor interlaced with strong “feels”...I couldn’t put it down and laughed out loud and also cried. My only criticism is that the main character, Olive, goes through her transformation a bit too quickly....highly recommend!

This book had a perfect main character that is pushed out into the real world for self discovery. The situations in this book has me laughing and crying and although falling in love does have a part in the story, the real story is about Olive and Birdy’s friendship.

This book is wonderful! An amazing story of friendship and Olive’s journey to find Birdie’s Big sexy Love but truly finding herself along the way! I love, love, LOVE this book...did I mention that I love this book?!?!?!!!!!!! Now what are you waiting for...READ IT!

I've read all of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels and this book has them beat by a mile. They were light, funny and sexy, but this book is all of that and more. No spoilers, so.... Would give 10 stars if allowed!!!

You'll love Olive, Birdie and the rest of the crazy characters. You'll laugh out loud and cry just a tiny bit. Wish book had been twice as long and WAITING FOR ANOTHER ONE ABOUT HER ADVENTURES IN NY! Hoping anyway...

This book was recommended to me by a friend who was sure that I would like it. She was right! Fast read & so fun! It was funny & unpredictable & the characters are so likeable. Do yourself a favor & read this book; you’ll be glad you did!

I loved this book.
It was so funny, but not the kind of funny where it’s obvious that the author is trying too hard. I was laughing at loud as I read. It only is it hilarious, but it’s touching as well. I would most definitely recommend it :)

Big Sexy Love will have you laughing and crying at the same moment. I loved every character including Chuck Allen.
Now just need an audio book so I can listen in the car or while doing house work. ?

I never write reviews. Never. This book needs to be made into a movie. It was sweet and funny and bonkers and one of the best books I've read in a long time. Please keep writing.

Do you need a book to lighten your mood? I never laughed so hard. I couldn't see the words on the page through the tears. The friendship between Olive and Birdie makes me hope that I would be as good a friend to someone.

I will definitely read Kirsty Greenwood again.

This book was hilarious and touched my heart deeply. I laughed from the beginning to the end and I cried happy tears. The characters were all so relatable and genuine even when they were outrageous lol. I’m going on a journey similar to Olive’s and I feel more confident and excited for it after reading this. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to read the other two.

I just finished Big Sexy Love and it was everything it promised to be. Fun characters, crazy silly story, passion and friendship. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks, Kristy for breathing life into Olive Brewster and for letting us share her grand adventure.

I have read some of her work . This was my favorite thus far. I love her imagination and the inner thoughts monologues and the story was not cookie cutter. It made me laugh out loud and made me cry too and loved the characters. Looking forward to the next one.

So many chick lit books are badly written and not funny. Sophia Kinsella, Catherine alliott are 2 of my faves and having just read Big Sexy Love, Kristy Greenwood. Yes, we know who's going to fall in love with who, but its witty and well written.

Big Sexy Love is a book that keeps your attention. It is a book that is wonderful and sad all in one. It is a laugh out loud and touching story that makes you wish there was more. This book was the first book I have read by Kirsty Greenwood and it will not be the last.

A slow start for me, and I almost considered setting it aside. But let me tell you, I'm so glad I didn't!! This book was so good I was even thinking about it with anticipation when I wasn't able to read! Sweet, loving, funny. Can't recommend it any higher. Great story.

I started reading this book thinking that I likely wouldn’t like it. I was wrong. This book made me laugh out loud and then sob. Olive and her friends are heartwarming. In fact, the author even manages to make Manhattan seem caring and magical. Loved this book!

This was an easy read full of witt and humor. I enjoyed the storyline which was not as predictable as many romantic comedies are. It’s a great beach, vacation or relaxing read that I would recommend to anyone!

It took me awhile to get into Olive’s story, but then it became just so damn funny. And poignant. Great job, Kirsty! PS in the sequel I hope you’ll write, give Seth some Americanized vocabulary. ;)

I really did laugh out loud! While some of the situations were a bit unbelievable, I found the overall story to be very entertaining. I thought the characters were very likable as well. I recommend this one!
