Excellent book with the usual Grisham series of side related events that ultimately tie-in together near the end. Grisham did an excellent job of naming the actual locations such as those in the French Quarter of New Orleans and elsewhere which added to the realism of a fictional novel.

What can I saw, John Grisham writes interesting, suspense-filled novels and The Pelican Brief is one of my favorites. I've read it many times, it's one of those books that I go back to every now and again to re-read. No, it's not a work of great American literature, and occasionally I do get tired of the constant references and descriptions to how sexy/attractive/etc the main character is (as I do with most of his female characters). However, this is a tiny flaw, one that probably doesn't even bother most readers at all. It's a great page-turner and if you're looking for a sure thing as far as entertainment in the suspense genre goes (bonus points in you're at ALL interested in law), this is it.

I have read the first three John Grisham Novels (A Time to Kill, The Firm, and The Pelican Brief) this year on my Kindle and each book gets better and better. I cannot wait to read my next John Grisham novel on my Kindle (naturally).
The Client: A Novel :: The Firm: A Novel :: The King of Torts :: The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, Book 1) :: The Chamber by John Grisham (2005-12-27)

Grisham at his finest weaves a talented mystery of big oil, powerful lawyers, a weak Presidency and strong characters into a compelling "can't put it down" drama. Certainly among his very best efforts, it'll make you want to see the movie again!#
