Michael Vey 5: Storm of Lightning

This is still holding my attention and making me long for the next book. I love this author, and appreciate that my son is reading as well. Our library took forever, but they finally got #6. So excited to read it!!!

I love this book! And especially this series, it is interesting the whole way through and can keeps you wondering what's gonna happen next. I can't wait to get the next book and see what happens next in this crazy adventure.

This book was rather short and weak on significant story expansion. When I read the last page (on my tablet) I rebooted my device and relaunched my e-reader (not joking) because I thought there had to be more to the book. Not that it left me wanting for me, but because I kept waiting for the story to start. This was 288 pages of set-up and background information. Very little of anything really needed to go into as much detail as was given. To be honest I felt a little slightled by the author, being left with the feeling that this book was written out of obligation and to fill the gap to Michael Vey 6.
As a reader, I like these characters and look forward to the final showdown of the elctroclan and the Elgen, Hatch and Vey in a life or death battle. If it wasn't for that fact I would have given this book a single star. But the fact that you can almost entirely skip this book and go right to 6 from 4 without really missing any significant plot details should say volumes about it's contents.
