I really enjoyed Ender's Exile.

Card did an excellent job "completing" the series. Where in the chronology of the Ender-verse this story fit is hard to say.

Read the book only if you've read Ender's Game.

I have often wondered about the years between Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead. This book explains them well. Plus, even though I've re-read the trilogy, it was fun reading something new about Ender!

This book nicely fills the gap between EG and Speaker for the Dead. More of a anthology of smaller stories in a overall arch then a single epic. The evolution of Andrew as a boy an the man we meet in Speaker is more detailed. Recommend as a companion to EG.

This novel does an excellent job of telling a meaningful tale about a boy who saved humanity and suffered for it. He is vilified in the end. This story bridges the transition from admiral to speaker for the dead.

I've enjoyed the writing and the characters of this series and am looking forward to continuing following the storyline. This book while not the exciting story as the first book in the series is worth your time to read.

After Enders Games, we thought this would be the perfect follow on. For the most part it was, except that details from EG were changed/altered in this version. Some enhanced the story, but other changes were annoying.

The Ender serie is actually an excelent work of Mr Card. But this specific book didn't keep the same quality level of the others books from this serie. In despite that there are some mixing between Brazilian and Portuguese culture (in Lusitania), the characters are real and deeply human. I like very much different approachs in syfy. Mr. Card, certainly, has achieved such target in this excellent serie!

This books fills in the blank between Enders Game and Speaker for The Dead, novels which I really enjoyed. This novel had less to hold my interest: neither the development of the characters, or the main storyline were particularly compelling.

There are few contradiction as explained by card but they aren't anything that really drove me nuts and the book is a great read and really sets up things that know are to come if you have already read further in the series and if not it prepares you for the ride.

The story gives you a great continuation to Ender's Game. It begins when Ender is announced Governor for a colony and new found planet that could sustain human life. A selected few would be living on this colony lead by Governor Wiggin in the years to come. Will Ender be ready to lead after his major victory on a war that he found out wasn't a real game a few years before? A great read that has a great lesson about communication and leadership.

I had read this series many years ago and enjoyed it very much. I vaguely remembered the story and decided to read it again. I had a hard time putting it down. It is as interesting and thought-provoking today as it was when I first read it.

Once again, Ordon Scott Card proves his genius as a writer and student of human mind, will, and emotions. He also intuitively writes social interactions with intricacies so complex and true-to-life that the characters seem real.
I find myself once again wondering if he was a psychologist in a past life, in addition to a genius writer in this one.

Well done

This series captured my heard as an 8th grader when I first read Ender's Game. I was happy to find out
(much later on, I admit) that there was so much more to the storyline! I have to say that I like the Ender's Shadow saga better, as I find Bean more interesting, but this one is also a must read. They aren't hard reads, though the later novels are a bit slower. Still, the universe that Orson Scott Card has created is vast and WAY ahead of his time.
Pick these up and read them over a couple of months, my favorite series of books since Harry Potter. But I definitely suggest you also pick up the Ender's Shadow saga as well.
I also like that the Halo video games blatantly took a lot of their ideas from this series. I really do love those parallels.

Just finished this book and the Ender series. This series for me is what Harry Potter is to some people. Such a good story. As for this book it provides an insight that I felt was needed into what happens after the war and Speaker For The Dead.

I enjoyed every book in this series, though I found at times book 3 and 4 to be a little too scientific and stretch out the story too much. This was my favorite after Ender's Game, as it answered a lot of the questions I had about those years, and really stressed how intelligent, but also how human the Character of Ender is.

Ender in Exile does not have the intense, dramatic, conclusion that Ender's Game does. Instead, Card takes the opportunity to share deep insights into the characters and events surrounding the time period after the last battle.
Card's ability to root out details and present them in story format is incredible.
Easy, flowing read.

Awsome series. Reminds me of H.G. Wells. This book makes you really think about interactions with others, control of society by government, religion, psychology, technology, and the long-term survival of our species.

I always felt the last chapter of Enders Game was rushed, and the gap between Enders game and Speaker for the Dead left one hanging. This is a great book to help connect these two books and tie in the shadow series.

This book tied knots, ended sentences, and gave me closure for several previous Ender books. I loved reading it, and took my time...and now have a sense of completeness and contentment. Always well-written, always insightful, always touching.
