This book has a lot of interesting information about Saint Michael and there is a very nice collection of prayers in the book too. I really enjoyed reading this book, and will continue to use the information and prayers. This is only one in the "Life and Prayers" series. I own some, but look forward to downloading more in the future as more become available. Since my childhood I have always enjoyed stories of the lives of the saints. These books are a treasure to own and the prayers are an added bonus. Thank you for writing this series of books on the saints. I hope you keep the series going with many many more to come.

Very beautiful and very touching prayers. The history of Saint Michael is included and is laid out in an easy to remember chronology from his first battle with Satan to his later visitations to assorted individuals throughout history. The read was short but really packed with interesting information. I would recommend this book for everyone...its easy to understand even if you are not a Catholic. In fact the book is not slanted towards any one religion.

In addition to all of the different prayers, the origins of the prayers are explained with their historical significance. A very complete explanation of the Biblical passages on St.Michael in the Old and New Testaments, and St. Michael's special role as protector of the Church is included. The hierarchy of angels is explained in order to show St. Michael's and the other Archangels special calling by God.

Since this little book met all my needs, satisfying my desire to know more of St. Michael and providing prayers to say to this powerful protector, I personally gave this little book the highest rating I could provide.

I e noted reading this book. It provided useful information on the intercession of
St Michael as recorded in the Bible and other appearances throughout history. The different occasions throughout history even through the 20th century and special feast days celebrated were of interest as well as the prayers. Thanks!

A great overview of Saint Michael's history and importance. I feel I will be invoking him often. The book also includes some beautiful poetry, as well as the Saint Michael prayer. In recent years, this has fallen into disuse but it's a fitting prayer for bad times. Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us, and protect us.

The world needs St. Michael the Archangel at this time. There are so many evil things going on during this age. Children killing children, men killing men, hate among people of different cultures and society pits one man against another for political or religious differences. The evil one wants us devided and is doing a good job. We need to turn the corner by going to St. Michael. Your brother in Christ, Jim

Title is misleading. Michael is an angel.but its a great book! Lots of information. And some prayers I didn't know. I'm not Catholic but my family is.by the way he is the patron of the Jews! Worth the read!

If you are Catholic, I suppose you would find this prayer book okay. However, I have a real problem with how it was presented and some of the content. For instance that St Michael must accompany every soul to God to avoid purgatory or hell is nonsense. I could go on, but I think I made my point.

Blasphemous nonsense for anyone who does not know God, does not understand the Bible, and wants to keep it that way. The writer and any readers who trust him will demonstrate what Christ called blind guides leading the blind, so that both fall into the ditch.

I give this magnificent book a five star rating.
I originally chose this book because of my strong
belief in the angelic realm specifically the archangel,
Saint Michael.
This book gives an in-depth look into the protection
that is offered to us as Christians by Saint Michael the
archangel. It highlights the events in history of documented
apparitions as well as prayers and move has to Him.
It also tells of his many missions in the fight against all evil
since the beginning of time. The very beginning.
He is there for us in life and in death to protect us from all
evil.
I recommend this book to any and all God fearing people who seek
the Lord's protection through in invocation and intercession
of this most powerful and beloved of all of God's angels.
I love that all prayers through the ages, original and reformed
to Saint Michael, are all included in this short but very in formidable
read.
I plan on using it's prayer references on a daily basis for a very long
time to come.
My many thanks to the author.

The Bible has a small scattering of references to him – two in the Book of Daniel, the Book of Revelation, and the epistle of Jude. He is the only archangel mentioned by name (Gabriel, who appeared to Zechariah and Mary, is described as an angel, not a prince of angels). But for all of the few Biblical references, Michael the Archangel plays a critical role in the accounts of the end times.

Wyatt North Books has published an account of the angel, “The Life and Prayers of St. Michael,” that combines what is known from the Bible, how he’s been considered in church history, and how he’s revered in the Catholic Church today. While the book reflects a Catholic perspective, its potential appeal is broader, including to anyone interested in Bible characters, eschatology (the study of end-times), or Bible study.

Most of the short book is divided into two parts – a biographical section and a section listing the various Catholic prayers to the saint.

The biographical section considers who the archangel is, the difference between angels and archangels, St. Michael in the apocryphal Book of Enoch, the various references in the Bible, his offices and how he’s venerated in the church, visions and understandings of St. Michael through the centuries, and how he’s depicted in Christian art.

The prayer section includes 10 prayers specifically to St. Michael.

What is clear from both the Bible and church history is that Michael plays an important role – the defender of the people (Christians) and a defender of the church, and especially but not only in the end times described in Daniel and Revelation. He is a “warrior of God, invincible and insurmountable,” reads the foreword of “St. Michael” (there’s no author listed, a common practice with Wyatt North books).

“St. Michael” is a concise summary of what is known about the archangel, how he’s been considered in church history, and how he’s regarded today.
