The Highlander's Secret Maiden. Georgina Andrews was at a wedding when she found out she was to marry Morgan Bolton, whom she despises. As the announcement was to be made, she runs away with Laird MacGowen and his brother Marcas. Watching this story play out made it impossible to put this book down. A great read for sure, from the brothers both wanting her, Bolton wanting her back, her kidnapping, and the war fought.

This is a good clean story by Lydia Kendell. Georgina Andrew's was at a wedding when her father announced that she and Morgan Bolton ,a mean devious man, were to get married. She despices him. She dances with Condell Mac Gowan and tells him what is happening and him and his brother, Marcus get her out of there. They are Scottish Highlander's. She falls in love with one of these. There is drama, suppence and excitement. I was given a copy of this book and highly recommend reading this book.

There’s romance and evil plots hatched by wicked men which will keep you in suspense as you read through this story. If you love Scottish historical romances, then you definitely won’t be disappointed. This is a voluntary and well-deserved review of a review copy received from the author.

I recieved this GREAT book free for an honest review. This is a wonderfully written book about a young Brtish lady who has come of age and her father is trying to marry her off to a British war Lord that is aged and very demeaning. They are at a wedding ball where she meets a Scottish Laird and his brother that enable her to run off with them. Her betrothed is ready to announce their engagement.

Georgina runs to get away from a marriage to Bolton. A really bad Englishman, who was a member of the English military. He disliked to Scots, who were the men who absconded with Georgina. You were able to see that see was getting feelings for the McGowan brothers. She has to live with the decision that she has made and finds happiness with one of the brothers. Good story that is worth reading.

I really enjoyed this story. There was a depth to the characters and a runaway English debutante finding love and home in Scotland made a great love story. I look forward to reading more books by this author. This book does contain some sensual scenes but they are done well and are not by any means the bulk of this writer's work but a part of the romance for the characters.

Another win by this author! I really enjoyed reading the story of Georgina, Marcas and Conall! The brothers’ rivalry for Georgina, the English foe, Bolton, and the strained relationship between father and daughter give plenty of structure to the plot and allow conflict from varying angles. Alternately, the development of live between Marcas and Georgina, Alpin and Fiona and the friendship of Georgina and Fiona produce welcome relief from tension and create a feeling of safety. Good read!

I absolutely got lost in the world of Georgina and Marcas and the whole clan. The story delves into English and Scottish biases and i loved that the characters spoke in dialect! This love story had kidnappping, proper English behavior, battles, jealousy and of course love. This is a great period story!

An English lady, two highlanders and a vile general weave a wonderful tale of scandal, adventure, suspense and romance. An intriguing plot with lots of twists, steamy moments and secondary plots leads to a somewhat bittersweet happily ever after. Make sure to read the extended epilogue!

This love story will take you through the many trials women had to face in that time such as forced marriages. Luckily that situation didn't happen due to circumstances that start out this amazing love story.
This is one I will keep to read again.
