Damn, Harper Sloane, you sucked me in once again! Love how you tied in characters from your other books, ahem, Cohen Cage. Another 5 star from me;) Looking forward to more from the Loaded Replay group!

I love Harper's writting! She always gives us great stories, stories that are well written. This is another one of those books. It is funny and charming. I'm excited to follow the series through. As much as I loved Chance and Wren I can't wait for Jamisons book.

Absolutely loved this story. I stumbled onto Harper Sloan by chance on Ibooks. Needless to say I read every book that was available on there and found this one on the store. The stories are fun, witty and keep you very invested. I couldn't read them fast enough. I would recommend this author to anyone and everyone! Cant wait to read more.

Overall Opinion: Well, hmmm. I really wanted to like this one, but sadly it just wasn't for me. There were just too many things that pressed my buttons (and not in a good way) to rate this higher than 2.5 stars.
**FYI -- This gets a little ranty with lots of exclamation points, so I apologize in advance**
First, the instalove. I know, I know -- many of you LOVE instalove! I'm just not a fan. I didn't understand how they jumped into feelings of love at all. It also got a little too fluffy for my liking with the lovey-dovey talk.
Second, I felt like we just scratched the surface of these characters. I wish we were given some more depth into them, because I felt that they really did have potential!
Third, the h characterization was inconsistent. I was really liking her tough, confident attitude at the beginning, but then she turned into the type of h that makes me roll my eyes constantly. I mean, I was facepalming and cringing over her OTT dramatics for the last couple chapters because she ended up being that bad!
Fourth and finally, the ending. WTH!! That was one of the worst "epilogues" I've read to date! That left us with hardly any closure at all except the band coming out with a new cd -- but who cares?!? This is supposed to be about the h and H! We needed some actual concrete closure for the couple here! I appreciate the author trying something different with it being as if it was a magazine article, but COME ON!
Oh well...ok, rant over ;).
I do feel the need to mention that the sex scenes were pretty hot. So those looking for a book that has instalove, low-to-no-angst, and hot sex scenes -- this might be a winner for you!
**See Goodreads.com/NMmomof4 for my full review with apoilers**
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Wrenlee and Chance's story. Chance gets hired to work security for the wildly popular band that Wrenlee fronts. She is receiving stalker type threats, and he is sought out by her worried brother and band mates. The sparks fly instantly, and it doesn't take them long to stop fighting their attraction. They start up a fake relationship to get around some contractual restrictions, but it soon becomes real and they fall in love...and they do get a HFN ending.
POV: This alternated between Wrenlee and Chance's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good until the end (see closure section). I never skimmed and it flowed well otherwise.
Instalove: Yes! It did move quickly as for the time it takes for them to feel stronger feelings, but it also was the type that didn't feel believable to me. We don't get that much of them developing feelings, it's just like BAM! they're in love. I understood their instalust, but not the instalove.
H rating: 3.5 stars. Chance. I liked him for the most part. He was pretty hot...yep, that's all I can come up with right now.
h rating: 3 stars. Wrenlee. She was a contradiction. She started off strong and the type of h I can get behind, but then she did a 180 and became an emotional mess that was either spouting fluffy lovey-dovey stuff or crying. I didn't get it! I liked her at first, but ended up disliking her at the end.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed.
Push/Pull: Yes, but minimal.
Heat level: Moderate. They have some hot chemistry and scenes, but not so much it takes away from the storyline.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: No
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: No
Closure: This had an abrupt ending with a (IMO) crappy epilogue that left us with hardly any closure! Yes, we hear that the band is doing well -- but what about the h and H?!? I would call this a HFN ending.
How I got it: I got it on loan through booklending.com and the store

Harper Sloan launches her rocker romance series, Loaded Replay, with Jaded Hearts. A of tall, dark and broody bodyguard Chance Nash and sex rock star goddess Wrenlee Davenport.
Worried about her safety after intercepting a stalker note and pictures, Wrenlee’s brother and bandmates compel her to hire a bodyguard who would protect her under the guise of a boyfriend due to their label’s nonsense contract clauses.
Being on top of the world and achieving everything she ever dreamed of doesn’t fill the void Wren feels. She has her twin brother and two other bandmates but loneliness and absence of love is daunting. And now on top of the lack of time off, she’s being forced to clip her wings of freedom by having the very attractive but sullen Chance around ALL. THE. TIME.
Deciding to at least have some fun with this, she not only flirts and tempts him, she also taunts the paparazzi with a fake marriage and baby rumors. Forced to be together Wren and Chance face their insecurities, their pasts and give into their attraction. Can they find a way to give their budding relationship a chance amidst all the mayhem that surrounds them?
Wren and Chance are equally loveable characters. She’s not only caring, fun and fearsome, she’s humble despite the fame and fortune. Chance is all swoony alpha, protective, thoughtful and oh so sexy and I loved that him being part of Corps Security gave me the opportunity to catch up with some of the old gang.
Wren and Chance’s sexy times are smoking hot laced with sweet passion and a rock backdrop with vibrant concert scenes that jump off the page and charismatic band member who I can’t wait to get to know better.
Jaded Hearts is book #1 of the Loaded Replay series by Harper Sloan. It is standalone contemporary rocker romance that made me laugh, smile and swoon with rock star goodness. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

5 Stars from Brianna!
Harper Sloan will always be a top five, go-to favorite author for me. I fell hard and fast for her guys and gals in the Corps Security series. That series... will always be a re-read for me. And on top of that, rock star romances are totally my thing... my weakness... so hello two for one deal here! And a little secret? Harper did NOT disappoint!
Jaded Hearts is the first new standalone book in the brand new hot and enticing Loaded Replay series. In this book, we are introduced to one hot rock band, the girl who leads them all, the guys who are her life, and the story of their lives. First on the block in Wrenlee... this is her story and man does she have one to tell.
Full of steam, suspense, passion, intensity, twists, turns... get ready for the book of your dreams and one he!! of a journey. The chemistry between Wrenlee and Chance... off the charts scorching! The moment these two met, I knew I was done for. Captivating... yeah get ready for smoking kindles and squirming in your seat.
Chance and Wrenlee... they are going to come in like a thief in the night and stole your heart just like they did mine. The love and passion I felt for this story and for these two characters was unexpected yet totally welcomed but man.... did Harper really amp up her game and in my opinion, gave me the best book she has written to date.
You can never go wrong with this author and her books. For a little back story before reading this book, you can go back and read, no devour the Corps Security series (which is crazy hot and delicious) but honestly, this book reads as an amazing standalone.
I highly recommend this book.

5 Stars from Renee!
I was pulled right into this story. This story contains suspense, love, heartbreak, danger, and pain.
I recommend reading the other books that tie into this series before reading this one...
Axel (Corps Security, #1)
Cage (Corps Security, #2)
Beck (Corps Security, #3)
Uncaged (Corps Security, #3.5)
Cooper (Corps Security, #4)
Locke (Corps Security #5)
Unexpected Fate (Hope Town #1)
Bleeding Love (Hope Town #2)
When I'm With You (Hope Town #3)
This is Wren and Chance's story. Wren is the lean singer in the Loaded Replay band. Her and the other 4 band members which include her twin brother Wes have overcome issues in their childhood. They are successful but are they all happy? Wren is not. When Wren is threated her fellow band mates just want to make sure she is protected. They hired their own bodyguards outside of the record company’s ones. Chance is part of the Corps Security. He is in charge of keeping the band safe but also Wren’s personal bodyguard. Chace and Wren have great chemistry and the back and forth they play will keep you turning the pages. Can Chance and Wren make a go of it or will danger come knocking before they get to try?
We all know how well Harper weaves a story so be prepared for totally alpha hotness, suspense, danger, edge of your seat story, great chemistry, hot sexy bedroom scenes, funny back and forth, and an allover great love story.
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more of this series.

Wrenlee Davenport is the lead singer of the band Loaded Replay that also includes her twin brother, Weston, and best friends, Jamison and Luke. They are her family and support system. Her image has been crafted by their label to make her a sultry and sexy Goddess. She loves the music, but is tired of the paparazzi, fakeness, and the fact that they work endlessly without breaks. She feels like a prisoner in her own life and is trying to cope. Her past has caused her to be wary and untrusting, but deep down she longs to find her slightly imperfect Knight on a dark horse to love her for who she really is and not just what she can do for him. She is getting some unwanted attention from either rabid fans or possibly a stalker and her boys want to make sure she is safe and protected.
Chance Nash arrives from Corps Security and immediately takes charge of the situation and of her interest. He is a no-nonsense, stoic, controlled, ex-Marine who appears to be resistant to her charms. He wants to protect her, even if it is from himself. He feels guilty about the one "failure" in his career and it eats at him. But soon he is so immersed in her life that he becomes part of the public image. And he finds it hard to resist her pursuit and things get more personal.
They have a connection that they cannot deny and seems to grow at an accelerated pace. They are two broken people who shatter each other even more, but then bring the broken pieces back together and fit. He seems to be a catalyst for her to take a stand and make changes to her life. And she does the same for him. But that also causes a ripple effect throughout their lives. There are outside influences, threats, and important decisions to be made. Their lives are chaotic with many moving pieces and chances for things to go wrong. He still has concerns that she will question his true motivations. She is worried that he cannot handle her crazy life. Their hearts are both jaded, but they have the potential to heal and ground each other.
Will Chance be able to keep her safe? And will they find their happily-ever-after even though their lives are complicated?
This is Wren's journey towards finding love, but also finding herself again, living life, enjoying the music, and reaching her full potential. It is also about Chance's need to find his own redemption and purpose. And how together they begin to feel trust, hope, healing, and fill a void. It is funny, sexy, sweet, and has just a little suspense and drama. I really liked sassy, sweet Wren and protective, loving Chance. He was total alpha swoony-ness in one hot package. They both had such big hearts and so much love to give despite the pre-existing barriers around their hearts.
It introduces three charismatic and likable band mates, Weston, Jamison, and Luke who will be the male leads in their own stories. I also liked their stylist, Dyllan. There were also a couple fun cameos. I am interested to see what is going to happen with Jamison next and to see more with Wren and Chance as this series progresses.

Harper Sloan is an automatic one-click author for me. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of Jaded Hearts where I would be introduced to a whole new cast of characters. I really enjoyed reading something different from Sloan. BUT she kept her winning formula or strong sexual tension, humor and a dash of suspense.
From the big stage in the biggest cities to the smallest spaces in her heart Wren is lost, drowning in who she had to be for the world versus who she was. Throw a threat from an unknown source into the mix and all of her band mates protective instincts came out. Which leads to Loaded Replay bringing on Chance, from the Corps Security team to be her bodyguard.
I'm not going to get into all the good bits because there are just SO many but I will say that I loved Wren and Chance together. The way their relationship started was unconventional to say the least but I really liked that it was theirs. They owned it and what everyone thought they knew about it. These two healed and built up everything from their past that had been tarnished and torn.
While there were some parts of the book that felt a little slow and repetitive, it didn't take away from all the goodness within the pages. Packed with steam and sweetness I never knew what was coming next. AND I can't leave out the rest of the band! Holy moly what a crew of characters. Protective Weston, the serious Luke and the jokester, Jamison played such a big part in Jaded Hearts and I can't wait to get their stories!

Having never read a book before by this author and seeing how popular her books are I was very excited to get a copy of this book to read and review. The story is linked to the Corps Security series by this author which I had heard of but of course never read. It is a total standalone which is great for someone who hates a series that needs to be read in order.
The story is about Wenlee Davenport the lead singer of Loaded Replay a band at the peak of their career, so when there are threats suddenly being sent to her Chance Nash is bought in to look after her and protect her as her bodyguard.
They are a hot couple and sparks do fly between them right from the start. I can say that I really liked them both and enjoyed their story to the point that I felt that this was an ok read but I wanted so much more from this book. I wanted to see more in the storyline of the threats being sent to her, even a little danger would have been good. I felt like the threats totally got lost and forgotten about until the very end of the book which kind of let this story down for me, it totally lost it's edge and fell a bit flat. Don't get me wrong the writing was good and flowed well it just didn't live up to the kind of expectations I was hoping for.

What a fast, and smooth read Jaded Hearts was! Kick*ss singer Wren, falls for hot security guard Chance. Both jaded from previous failed relationships, these two are ready to give love one more go.
Things happen fast, and for me the beginning was a bit too much instant love. Though the further we go into the story, I more, and more liked these two together.
The bands dynamic is what really sold me on this story. Wren, her twin Weston, and the other band mates, Luke, and Jamison are a true family. They joke, they laugh, they fight, and they always have each other’s back. The dialogues were on point, and felt authentic.
Throughout the love story, the love for music is what spoke to me. For Wren, and the band, music is their life, and you can feel that. The fame is taxing, weighing most heavily on Wren as the main face of the band. Though now with Chance by her side, it’s easier to cope with that drama.
Jaded Hearts was an excellent start of a new series. I truly love all the characters, and am already looking forward to reading Jamison’s story. Wren is awesome, real, and a complete bad*ss. Chance is her rock, and I loved how he could be there for her. He’s a sweet guy, though inside the bedroom, holy hotness! Hot, sweet, humor, love, family, Jaded Hearts has it all.

Jaded Hearts is the first book in new Loaded Replay Series by Harper Sloan. We were momentarily introduced to the female lead and her group in Unexpected Fate as well as to Chance who played a bigger part in Unexpected Fate. This is not your average Rock and Roll book in my opinion, it has a good mix of the music aspect but also steps away enough from it that it doesn’t feel one toned. You do not have to read the other two series to read this book, but I would suggest it since it does comment back to some of those characters and it helps explain Chance’s backstory.
Wrenlee is the lead singer of Loaded Replay, and finally have convincing of her twin brother and others in the group she agrees to get a security guard due to issues that have arisen from their fame. Chance and Wrenlee at first gave me a little trouble to fall with them, but all of a sudden it seemed liked they clicked better for me. I will say their antics with the public had me cracking up and the suspense mixed in kept me guessing a bit. The sex was hot and made me blush a couple times as well
I will say I truly enjoyed this book, I do wish the suspense even though it kept me guessing was highlighted a bit more than it was. Overall I would give this book 4.5 stars and I cannot wait to see what comes next for Loaded Replay.

Jaded Hearts – Harper Sloan
Loaded Replay members:
Wrenlee – lead singer
Weston – bass
Luke – guitar
Jamison – drums
Loaded Replay is a platinum selling band in need of beefed up security, and believe their label doesn’t take their s security seriously at all, they’ll do anything to keep the band in the media spotlight. So The male members of the band take finding adequate security into their own hands.
Lead singer Wrenlee Davenport is currently in a love/hate relationship with the celebrity of the band even though she used to love all that came with their chosen profession and lifestyle. The band has been everything the foursome has wanted since they grew up together. They have always protected and cared for each other. In her current state of antipathy, Wrenlee doesn’t take her apparent stalking seriously. She thinks it’s likely just an overzealous fan, that it’s just part of the package of stardom. Until Chance comes into the picture. Added security might be just what she needed after all...
Chance Nash is a former Marine who served with, and was roommates, with Cohen Cage from Unexpected Fate (Hope Town 1). When Cohen’s pregnant wife Dani is attacked Chance felt like it was his fault and he let his friends turned family down. That coupled with demons from his past relationship make taking the job with Loaded Replay something he feels he has to do in order to prove to himself that he’s not a failure, and that he can keep it professional.
When Chance walks through the door of Loaded Replay’s hotel suite for his interview, he goes into work mode and puts and errant reporter in her place. I’m pretty sure I fell for him then. Wren’s sassy mouth, her weapon against her vulnerability, paired with her acceptance of her sex appeal made me fall for her a little too. She is someone I could hang out and have fun with. When she wants something she has no problem going for it. Wren has always wanted her HEA, she definitely wanted Chance, and wasn’t going to take no for an answer.
I loved Jaded Hearts. Five ?????. There are not many authors out there that I read everything from, but Harper Sloan once again reminds me why she is one of that I do read everything from. She just writes a great love story. It doesn’t matter if the love comes quickly, is a slow burn over the years, or if it’s a second chance. A great romance is what you will get.
Jamison is up next (hopefully with Wren’s bestie Dyllan ?).
While Unexpected Fate does not have to be read first, its’s fun to see that first moment Wren and Chance locked eyes.

Wrenlee is the lead singer of Loaded Replay, the band she formed with her twin brother Weston and their childhood friends Jamison and Luke. They have signed with a record label and the band is achieving success but along with that she only has to accept the extra media attention and that includes a stalker.
Chance works for Corps Security and he has been hired by the band to protect Wren and they decide that the best way to do that is to have him pretend to be her boyfriend. From their first meeting the sparks flew and before too long the relationship starts to become real but will he be able to keep her safe?
Wren hasn’t given up on love, but she wants someone to want her for her not for what she can do for them and Chance has trust issues from his past as well that they need to work through. The combination of heat, humor and suspense make this an enjoyable story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Review Jaded Hearts
Several years ago, a good book friend messaged me “You have to read Axel by Harper Sloan. It is your kind of book. Hot, ex-military turned security expert with a history and Oh my what a lover.” I did buy Axel and every Harper Sloan book since.
Jaded Hearts is the latest Harper Sloan book and the first book in a new series, Loaded Replay. It is the story of Wrenlee Davenport, the lead singer for the group Loaded Replay and Chance Nash from the Hope Town series. Wrenlee is on the road with Loaded Replay promoting their latest album and feeling burned out. She needs a break and wants more in her life than recording, performing, and phony people. Don’t misunderstand she loves being on stage she just needs some down time.
Loaded Replay forms when Weston (Wes) Davenport, Wren’s twin brother, and their two friends, Luke and Jamison meet as kids and begin to dream of success as performers. Now that they hit big the guys are worried because of some threats the band receives and they fear that Wren is in danger. Enter Chance Nash of Corp Security to protect the group with his primary focus Wrenlee.
I love this story. It is my kind of series; each book is a standalone novel featuring a member of the band with the other band members weaving through the adventure. It doesn’t take long to fall in love with the characters. Wrenlee Davenport is a strong female character. She is loyal, ambitious, talented, and jaded. She wants it all, but she doesn’t know how to trust people. Do men want her or her connections? She knows what it’s like to be used now she wants to know someone who loves her, Wren not Wrenlee.
If you read the Hope Town series, you know Chance Nash. He is Cohen’s friend, roommate and former Marine. Chance is still beating himself up because of a security job that went wrong which makes him resolve to never let that happen again. Add to his dark mood the fact that he doesn’t do the relationship thing thanks to one that ended badly when he was deployed. Chance sees flaws in Loaded Replay’s security immediately and suggests adjustments. He also makes a point to stay close to Wrenlee.
The relationship between Chance and Wren grows from a comment Chance makes to the paparazzi that quickly goes viral. The thing is Chance has loved Wren as a fan for several years. Now that he gets to know her personally he falls for the woman behind the songs.
While the focus of this book is Wren and Chance, we also get to know a little about the other members of the band. As childhood friends, they all know everything about one another. Wes is the brother and protector of the group. Wes also has a good handle on the business side of the music industry. Luke and Wes are the creative members of the band. They write most of their songs every free moment, on the bus or during downtime they are writing. Jamison is the group clown. He is always flirting and having fun. They all have good chemistry together with a solid friendship as their foundation.
Jaded Hearts is told in the alternating points of view of the jaded Wrenlee and Chance. They both have experience with the downside of relationships in their past. Chance has an immediate connection with Wren and vice versa. Their relationship grows fast in a realistic way. They are both at that point in their life that they are ready and open to something more.
I recommend Jaded Hearts to anyone who enjoys a good love story. It goes without saying that Harper fans will devour it quickly. I appreciate a good love story now add to that the journey behind the scenes of a rock band with glimpses into the joys and the downside of the music industry. Now I’m waiting for book two in the series about Jamison. Thanks Harper! Well done!

Fans of rock star romances will find this a satisfying series starter that pulls you into the sensual and exhilarating world of rock music through the engaging band, Loaded Replay. They're a colorful and larger-than-life foursome whose pasts are shrouded in secrecy but clearly full of pain and heartache that had them clinging to each other the moment they all met. Their struggles and dedication to their craft have brought them to the top of the charts and given them fame, money, and all the adoration they can stand. For the men in the band that fame is still something to enjoy, but for lead singer Wrenlee it's all starting to lose its luster. She's tired of being seen as a commodity, as a bad ass with an angelic voice wrapped up with a glamorous bow. She's tired of men who see her only as a means to an end and she longs to find a man who sees past the public persona. Since she hasn't yet found a White Knight to bring her a HEA she'll settle for the tarnished knight who understands her like no other in this story of insta-love with a bit of suspense courtesy of a danger that comes out of nowhere.
Wrenlee's a strong-willed woman who likes pushing people's buttons and doesn't abide those who seek to gain fame by using their band. She's sexy and snarky yet protective of her bandmates who are more like siblings as they share a common background. While her interactions with them are playful and mocking, with undertones of flirtiness, it's her interactions with the man chosen to guard her body from a crazed fan that leaves her flustered. From their first combustible meeting they find a connection based on heartfelt honesty, being left bruised from a past love's betrayal, and unrelenting sexual tension. The more time they spend together, the more the outside world interferes and puts their band's future in doubt. As her relationship with Chance progresses their sexual encounters get hotter which has them leading the media on a chase for the truth about them in hopes of keeping their feelings for each other private in protection of their relationship. When a fan obsessed over her closeness with her bandmate Jamison threatens her life once again, sacrifices must be made that have her questioning her future with Chance.
Chance is a very observant former Marine weighed down by guilt over something that was not his fault. It's left him very serious-minded when it comes to doing his job with his integrity put to the test when he first meets Wrenlee. He's drawn to the dichotomy she represents, and to her music, along with the exhilarating feelings she inspires in him. Though he judges himself for his past actions she helps him deal with his guilt which solidifies their instant connection with their mutual pain binding them together. Chance is a sexy beast talented in dirty talk which leads to intensely erotic sexual encounters. Their interludes are scorching yet playful and were intensified by the backdrop of the sensual world of music they inhabit which had me rooting for them amongst all the chaos.
The bandmates of Loaded Replay are an intriguing bunch of jokers, players, and rebellious characters. They're a tight-knit group though with a connection forged in childhood that leads to a protective nature as adults towards each other. Weston and Wrenlee are twins who only had each other to count on as children as their parents hated them for the fame they thought should belong to them. They love each other unconditionally and support one another through all their choices. Of the two, Weston's quieter and more cautious as he takes the threats against her far more seriously than she does. Luke and Jamison enjoy their playboy lives and the eroticism of sharing women. They both like to have fun and joke but it's Jamison who tends to go over-the-top when it comes to his innuendos. He's highly sexualized and quick to get naked when the moment needs levity. There are hints about each of their love lifes sprinkled throughout this narrative that has me excited for the installments yet to come as all three of these men are sexy, endearing, and fodder for all my nightly dreams. This was a quick read that vividly depicted the rock star world with all its sycophants, obligations, and overly enthusiastic fandom. The energy and exhilaration of being onstage is tempered with the claustrophobia and sense of living a life not your own to make you feel a part of this world. The only weak spot for me involved the crazed stalker who was the catalyst for introducing Chance to Wrenlee. This aspect was barely touched on at the start, ignored through the middle, and came back out-of-the-blue at the very end to cause a roadblock to HEA. The villain too was one chosen randomly as readers barely caught a glimpse of them in the story which made this part of the story fall flat. On a whole though this was a decadently delightful read with immensely appealing characters who dragged me into their world and have me counting down the days until I can re-join Loaded Replay on the road!

Wren/Wrenlee is the lead singer of Loaded Replay. They are very successful. In the band is her twin brother Weston Luke and Jamison. Wes and Wren have been best friends with Like and Jamison since they were kids. They used to just play local bands till the got noticed but Wren isn't really feeling things at the min. Her life is the same thing and she is tried they haven't had a break in so long. The label and manager just keep pushing them. They need to ride the high they were told but Wren as had enough. Her and Wes hadn't had a great life growing up there parents were crappy. When they moved and made friends with Luke and Jamison things got a lil better they were dealing with the same so they just stuck together. Wren treats them al like brothers but the bond she as with Wes is so strong they can sense when things are not right and Wes is getting that feeling and he us worried. With the band being one of the best in the world not everything is good. Wren as been dealing with a few issues. So the lads think it's time to bring in better security but she didn't think her security was goin to be so hot.
Chance as been in security for a while he was a marine for years. So security was the next step. He is dealing with a few issues but he hides them will. Chance knew if the band and was a fan. He knew how Wren was and what she looked like but when he saw her he couldn't hide his attraction to her she is sexy as hell. He had to be professional it was his job and he wanted to protect her. Nothing would happen to her on his watch but as the days went on there attraction got stronger.
The other members of the band were great. I m dyin to get more from them. Jamison is so funny he's flirts with anything that moves even Wren. Wes his very protective of his sister he would do anything to make sure she is ok. Luke seems the quieter of the band members so I m quit interested to get more from him. I luvd the connection they al had. They were a strong family and would do anything for each other.
This is the first book I 've read from this author and it definitely won't be the last. I really enjoyed this book I couldn't put it down once I started. The writing was great I living getting into the heads of both characters. So having both pov was great. Wren is a brilliant character. I really enjoyed her personality she had dealt with a lot growing up but with Wes she could deal with it. It was still in the back of her mind but Chance made a huge difference to her life. They both had baggage so it was hard trying to deal with stuff. There lives were very different but they could stay away from each other.
I would highly recommend this book. The story was great it kept me interested al the way through. I was dyin to know how things would work out. I can't really find anything to didn't like about this book. If I m being picky the ending was a lil quick would of liked more but I didn't really mind I was happy with the way it ended. Really enjoyed it xxx.

ARC provided by the author via InkSlingerPR in exchange for an honest review.
Harper Sloan comes back in full force, everybody! This book has made me fall in love with her writing all over again. She presents a new series, with fabulous characters and love stories full of sexy times! I adored every page of this one, for sure!
Jaded Hearts is the first installment in the Loaded Replay series and it starts with the love story between Wrenlee Davenport (the lead voice of the group) and Chance Nash (Cohen Cage’s best friend from the Hopetown series). Chance is Wren’s new head of security, he is hired to watch the lead singer but sparks start flying between them since the first moment they lay eyes on each other. This story is about two jaded hearts that heal together.
I should feel bad for Prince Charming. My knight in tarnished armor. Because he’ll have one giant battle on his hands to make me believe that someone might be left out there who doesn’t just want a piece of me.
For the first time in almost ten years, I was about to set myself up to give someone else power over me.
And I would be powerless to stop it.
What an amazing way to start this series, Harper! This woman has introduced a fantastic group of people that I am sure will give us the most amazing love stories. Loaded Replay has four components: Wren, Wes (her twin brother), Luke and Jamison. These people met at a very young age, all not loved by their parents and they haven’t been apart since. I love the familiarity between them, the hilarious moments we experience with them and the emotional ones too. They are just an exceptional group and I can’t wait for more!
“How did you fall into the pool?” Wes asks incredulously, still not willing to look at him.
Jamison stares at my brother, and his eyes narrow. “I didn’t fall, @$$h0le. I walked. It’s not my fault that the pool was in the way.”
I just love having a band that gets along so well and besides that, I love having a couple that has the most amazing off-the-charts chemistry. Wren and Chance are simply explosive: they definitely burnt my Kindle with all the hotness! I love Harper’s alphas and her super-sassy heroines and Chance and Wrenlee are not an exception. They gave us lots of hot moments and lots of beautiful and sentimental ones too.
Our relationship will never be measured by time, not when it feels like I’ve been working my whole life just to make my way to her.
And even though Chance and Wren’s relationship goes really fast paced, I have to say I did not mind it at all because Harper made me love them from the start. Moreover, we get a bit of suspense between this love story and I really enjoyed the emotional consequences we got from it! And can I repeat that I am extremely curious and excited about the other Loaded Replay members? Jamison is next and I am pretty sure he will give us a very amusing and wonderful love story!
I feel like my heart—the one thing that keeps me alive—doesn’t even beat inside my own chest anymore, not when Wren has taken its place as my most vital organ.
Therefore, my rating for Jaded Hearts is 5 STARS because Harper gives an excellent introduction to the Loaded Replay series and a beautiful and super-sexy love story. I kind of missed having a longer epilogue but besides that, this was absolutely perfect. I can’t wait for all the other stories! If you have enjoyed this woman’s writing before or you want a great love story to read, I highly recommend this one!

JADED HEARTS is the first installment in Harper Sloan’s contemporary, adult LOADED REPLAY erotic, rock romance series focusing on the members of the band Loaded Replay. This is lead singer Wrenlee ‘Wren’ Davenport, and thirty one year old security specialist Chance Nash’s story line. LOADED REPLAY is a spin off from Harper’s Corps Security and Hope Town series.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Wren and Chance) LOADED REPLAY follows the band as they embark on their final tour for Brighthouse Records, and the threats against our story line heroine. Following Loaded Replay’s most recent concert appearance a threatening letter and personal images of Wren Davenport surfaced forcing the band to hire their own personal security. Enter Chance Nash from Corps Security, and the man with whom Wren would fall in love.
Chance Nash is all about protecting his charge but his first meeting with Wren Davenport finds our story line hero immediately smitten and falling in love. Wren’s attraction to Chance is off the charts and she isn’t afraid to make her feelings known. JADED HEART’s story of insta-love finds our leading couple in a ‘fake relationship’ scenario when the band’s recording company refuses to accept Chance Nash as Wren’s personal security.
The attraction between Wren and Chance is immediate but Chance struggles with duty before personal life, and in this Chance tries but fails miserably to view Wren as his employer to his employee. Wren continues to push at Chance at every opportunity until our story line hero succumbs to the desire and demands of his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive.
We are introduced to the other members of the band: Wren’s twin brother Weston Davenport; drummer Jamison Clark, and guitarist Luke Madden; Wren’s best friend and stylist Dyllan who may or may not be in a relationship with Jamison Clark; as well as the band’s manager from Brighthouse Records Dix, roadie Kellie, and journalist Casey Brookes.
The world building takes the reader on tour with Loaded Replay-behind the scenes, onto the stage, and up close and personal with the members of the band. There is a bit of a twist to the story line conflict when the truth about the threats against Wren are revealed.
JADED HEARTS is an energetic story line about two people pushed together by circumstance and necessity. The heartwarming romance is a case of insta-love; the conflict is all but forgotten for most of the story; the happily ever after will be passionate and dynamic. The premise is captivating; the characters are heartwarming; the romance is fated and intense. Harper Sloan adds another fun and sensual addition to her popular romance series.

A rock star romance from Harper Sloan? Yes, please! I’m a huge fan of everything this author writes but I’ve been dying to get my hands on Jaded Hearts ever since the lead singer of Loaded Replay and a certain member of the Corps Security team locked eyes across the crowd of a crowded, chaotic rock concert. When said Corps Security team member is hired to guard said lead singer? Cue crackling sexual tension, flirtatious banter, and a fake engagement scheme that leaves all the gossip magazines scrambling to grab the big scoop. One raging case of lust at first sight, a band of rowdy rockers, and just a touch of suspense make Jaded Hearts an entertaining, sexy introduction to Harper Sloan’s Loaded Replay series.
What happens when you pair a jaded rocker secretly yearning for her own happily ever after with a marine-turned-security guard who has trust issues with the opposite sex? You get two individuals, desperately in need of someone to repair their broken pieces. From the moment we meet our heroine, Wrenlee Davenport, it’s apparent that she’s weary of the chaos and lack of privacy that come with fame, desperately craving a sense of normalcy. Enter Chance Nash, the bodyguard hired by Wren’s bandmates to protect her from a potentially dangerous situation, and the man who just might be the embodiment of her innermost desires. And when you add in overwhelming mutual attraction, palpable chemistry, and an element of forbidden romance, it’s only a matter of when, not if, Wren and Chance will succumb to their baser instincts.
What I love about the dynamic between Chance and Wren is the intensity of their connection and the sheer pleasure they find in each other’s company. Around Chance, Wren loses that hardened, serious edge in favor of a fun-loving playfulness. They have a cat-and-mouse game going on, with each taking turns as the pursuer. Chance is an over-the-top Alpha male, exuding testosterone and manliness with every breath he takes. He's a dirty, dirty, dirty man with an intense, primal tunnel vision when it comes to Wren, and, I must confess...I loved every minute of his possessive, demanding, passionate demeanor towards her both in and out of the bedroom.
If you're a fan of insta-love, rock star romances, and/or books that will make you swoon and make your heart melt, Jaded Hearts is a must-read. The romance between Chance and Wren is off-the-charts steamy and sugary sweet – a combination that makes this book impossible to put down once you get started. Jaded Hearts is an intriguing start to the Loaded Replay series and I can’t wait to dive into Jamison’s story next.

Oh. My. God!!!
What an EPIC beginning Harper Sloan has created for her new series, Loaded Replay!
Before I go in and tell you how amazing this book was, I have to say this one is doing to be hard one to beat! I really seemed written with everything I look forward in my Romance reads! Simply amazing!
For those of you who like me read all of Harper’s work, these two are no strangers. We could see upon reading the Hope Town series that when Chance set his eyes on Wren for the very first time at one of their concerts that something extraordinary would come from these two. And come it did!!! LOL
Wrenlee Davenport has been living a life of fame and success for five years now, but what only her closest family – her brother and bandmates – can see is that she is fast approaching her breaking point. For years she has wanted, craved even, something more. Or better yet someone… Someone who will see behind the well constructed facade of the sex symbol lead singer of one the world’s most famous rock band and want her for who she truly is, for everything she is deep down…
And here enters our dark and handsome hero, Chance. I was already completely hooked on him while reading Unexpected Fate, but now, I’m just as dumbstruck as Wren was! Talk about swoon worthy!!!
From the very first moment he crosses the threshold of the hotel suite, and their eyes connect, any feared and caution about both their pasts is doomed. Their magnetism and attraction is almost palpable and without a doubt reciprocated.
Truthfully he was just missing the black horse, because he came in guns blazing and immediately took on the role of the protector. A role he seemed born to fill.
Even in his resistance to their obvious attraction (due to the ghosts of his past), he never falter in his role, because she truly became the center of his world. The only thing that mattered.
She has fears of her own, of course, but when it comes to Chance, she has no doubt that they are mean to be. She just has to make in realize that, and for that he just needs to open himself up, like she’s doing. After years of closing herself of from relationships (after so many of those having used her for their personal gain), I was happily surprise with the apparent easiness of her acceptance of felling for Chance. I loved her attitude, her sassiness and her faith – although she had her own doubts at times. But teasing him was half the fun!
Their hesitation doesn’t last long, and once they give in, it’s full steam ahead!
I absolutely adored how open and sure they were from that point forward. They opened to one another like they never did to another being, and it was a beautiful thing to read. Their fears became just memories, and they started their process of mutually healing one another…
Healing, caring, and a LOT of loving!!! Because with that explosive chemistry, and an alpha male like Chance, how could their sex scenes not be their own level of scorchingness??? And Chance… Holy mother of filthy talkers!!!
We get PLENTY of steaminess to go around, that’s for sure! And this pervy reader LOVED every second of it!!!
Another standout is the incredible relationship that Wren has with the rest of the guys, – her brother and friends – but specially her bound with her twin brother, Weston. It’s amazing to see their love and support, and he hinted to what an amazing character I’m sure he’ll be. Her rock, her anchor, even if she doesn’t need him as much as she always did. An immeasurable brotherly love…
And I can’t not mention the rest of the bandmates, Luke and Jamison, specially the former, because, OMG, was that guy a hoot!!!! Really, what an awesome character! He sure gave us some ROFL moments here!
JADED HEARTS really was a spectacular beginning for the series, and these characters were splendidly thought out and realistically portrayed – you can see by the incredible (and numerous, even if reduced multiple times, lol) quotes I posted. So amazing, it was hard to choose from! The storyline itself couldn’t have been more well constructed. Naturally, emotionally and fluidly, the events develop in a way that you feel that you are living them with the characters, and that for me is perfect writing perfection on Harper’s part. It’s exactly what I hope to find in each story I dive in, and here it surpassed expectation. The only thing I missed, being the total ‘epilogue – whore’ that I am, was a more extended epilogue with a deeper look into their future. I know we’ll get that for sure in the upcoming books, but I’m a greedy reader, so I wanted it now! Can’t wait to see what Harper Sloan brings us next with that special and quirky character of Jamison! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

A broken princess and a knight in tarnished armor.
Two people with devastating pasts that have forced them to guard their hearts and merely exist, not trusting anyone with more than a few pieces of their jaded hearts, because that way, they don’t get hurt or destroyed by another person, keeping their broken parts in tact but also not having opportunities to mend what’s been torn apart by other’s lies and devious actions.
But Wrenlee Davenport and Chance Dash’s lonely existences, despite Wrenlee’s stardom and Chance’s close circle of friends, simply needed the right person to enter their lives and show them that it’s possible to trust…it’s possible to give their hearts to someone deserving because they will be handled with care and guarded with a ferocity that can only be explained by the powerful connection that occurred instantly and grew exponentially with each lingering look, passionate touch, and caring words.
Jaded Hearts is a fantastic read and a stellar start to Harper Sloan’s new series, Loaded Replay. In true Sloan fashion, she creates an alpha male hero who proves over and over the depth of his affection for the heroine with each loving and protective act as well as the way he quickly seduces her body and her heart with his dirty talking and his steadfast honesty.
As soon as Chance becomes a part of the Loaded Replay family, his commitment to them never waivers and his loyalty to Wren and all the jaded pieces of her heart solidifies how perfect they are for one another and how much they needed each other in order to show one another how to truly live again instead of creating and wearing a persona that lets no one in regardless of how much those people might try.
One of the best qualities about Harper Sloan’s writing is that she doesn’t create issues between the hero and heroine that aren’t warranted. She doesn’t make the couple work for something they both deserve by adding undue drama. The evolution of the relationship is genuine and unique to the type of people her characters are…that’s why it’s easy to accept love at first sight and lightning quick connections and that’s why I’m also anxiously anticipating Sloan’s next book couple and the characters she creates around her main ones who have their back at all times.

“My little black jaded heart keeps searching. Searching for what I’m beginning to think is impossible to find. Someone who isn’t trying to gain something by knowing us. Someone who can be my gain in life…the tangible thing that can anchor me to the ground and prove that everything we’ve overcome hasn’t been for nothing. Someone who reminds me I’m more than just a pretty face. Someone who makes me want to believe the lyrics we write. Until then, we’re just little fish circling the fishbowl, praying to see the ocean again.”
Harper Sloan, you have done it again. Just when I think I can’t love another story or series more, you have to give me another amazing series. I honestly don’t know how she does it. She could write a phone book and I’d have to read it because somehow, she would make a phone book amazing. That is just how much I love her writing.
Jaded Hearts was one of my most anticipated releases of 2016, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. This story is incredibly well written and entertaining as h**l. From the moment you pick up this book, you are captivated by Wren’s story and just have to know more. She is not your typical musician. She is very real and raw. She isn’t afraid to express herself and just wants people to know who she really is. She hasn’t let fame go to her head and I really admired that in her. Chance was everything and I mean everything that I could have wanted for Wren. There connection was instant and intense, and it worked sooooo well. Their chemistry and banter was so exciting. I loved seeing the two of them interact. And even though they shared an instant connection, you could tell that their love and their feelings were very real.
Jaded Hearts was an amazing read, from beginning to end. I devoured this book in just one sitting. I loved the story-line and the characters. I really enjoyed the relationship that Wren had with her brother and their band members. I loved how well they all got along and how tight they were together. I loved their humor and was thoroughly entertained the entire time.
Jaded Hearts is the first book in the exciting new series from Harper Sloan. This story hit all the marks for me. It was sexy, fun and full of laughter. And while there was some drama, it was handled pretty quickly and for the most part, was pretty light. It was just overall an enjoyable read and I am super excited to see where this story will go next and who’s story will be told!

Oh this book rocked my socks off!! Going into this book, I was really excited because it is different than what Harper has written in the past, but then when I found out WHO was in this book, I maybe got a little TOO excited!! Jaded Hearts is about two broken people coming together and fitting just perfectly.
Wren is a bad@$$ chick and I wanted to just be her best friend. She walks to the beat of her won drum, works hard, is passionate about music and so creative. She loves her band mates like they are her family. and one of them actually is. These four characters have been together through thick and thin and have grown up protecting and loving each other. I loved the banter and the easiness between them. You can tell that they all have a deep connection with each other; they can all have a conversation without a single word being spoken & they can read each others moods depending on just how they are standing! Wren has had a rough time lately and my heart went out to her about her childhood and the unsuccessful relationships that she has had since being famous. When she meets Chance, she doesn't stand a chance of not giving her heart away to him.
Chance, oh I was so EXCITED to know that he was going to be Wren's man!! He is so sexy and protective and serious and just dreamy!!! He will do anything to protect the band, but Wren is his first priority. He has been hurt in the past and I felt bad for him, but with Wren, it is like he is seeing love for the first time. I loved seeing Chance & Cohen's friendship and how it has evolved. Chance was definitely a more broody character than most, but I think it just added to his appeal. When he opened himself up to Wren, it was like she was being handed the key to the city. He is a very open person, but with her, everything just seems to come naturally and easy. He tried to deny the connection that they share, but it was no use, she got under his skin and embedded herself into his heart.
Chance & Wren had a connection the moment they met and it just grew throughout the book. The passion that these two had for each other was just off the charts hot!!! I loved most of the characters, especially Weston, Luke, Jamison & Dyllan!!! I am so intrigued by all of them, and I am SO excited for Jamison's book, he NEEDS to be with a certain someone who is Wren's best friend!!!!! This book made me laugh, swoon, get teary eyed and had me on the edge of my seat. Harper Sloan writes amazing stories and this is one of my favorites by her!!!

5 freaking fantastic Stars
Another 5 star read by Harper Sloan, I wish I could give more stars.
Jaded Hearts is Wrenlee (Wren) and Chance's story. Wren is the only girl in Loaded Replay and the lead singer along with her brother Weston (Wes) and their 2 best friends Jamison and Luke. I have read other books about bands and most of the time it's pretty much the same thing the guy partying it up and then bam he meets a girl and just changed, but this one is one of the better books I have read. It's not just about what they are doing on the road, it gives you more in sight into the band members and what they go through, basically it's not just the fun parts. Harper actually goes into the personal stuff one may go through. She shows Wren as a kick ass lead singer but then shows she can be just an insecure about herself as any other girl and shows that she wants more then just the music. Wren has dreams and wants the happy ending. Book starts off with Wren getting stalked and threats getting worse. So her Wes, Jamison and Luke go outside to hire security for her, behind her back. This is where Chance comes in, he is the security and we get a cross over from the Security Corps series...loved that!! Chance you will remember is from the Security corps series ( if you haven't read it go get it too) you don't need to read it for this book, Harper touches base on who Chance is and you will get what you need to understand Him.
I thought at first that all it was going to be about was the stalking but thankfully that is not all the book is about, it truly is a great love story with a happy ending for Wren and Chance, with a lot in-between that I loved and I look forward to more about this group of people. We also get the interaction between the other band members and Dylan (Wren's BFF, can't wait for her story). I love how this book was written it is another great Harper Sloan book.
I love stories that connect through a series and each one has the happy ending, it's great to get the cross over from one book to another. Thank you Harper for another fantastic book and I look forward to more from you. The highly recommend you grabbing this book as soon as you can, you will absolutely love it l, as I did!!! Enjoy and Happy reading!!!! Thanks again Harper for another great book!!!
After reading Unexpected Fate, I was beyond intrigued to find out where Wrenlee and Chance's story would take them. I've been eagerly awaiting the release of this book for some time now and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. This might be my favorite of Sloan's; I absolutely loved this story and these characters.
Wrenlee Davenport's band, Loaded Replay, is a huge success, but with that comes some unexpected side effects...one of which is a possible stalker. Chance Nash, security specialist at Corps Security, is called in by Wren's bandmates to protect her from any possible threat. When their current record label won't allow personal security, Chance and the guys come up with a plan and quickly he and Wren are in a "fake relationship". As things progress and these two start to become a little less fake, will Chance be able to keep Wren safe and their hearts intact?
Everyone who has read a Harper Sloan novel, knows that she writes one hell of a sexy alpha and Chance most definitely fits that description. He's everything we look for in an irresistible lead - protective, confident, strong, funny, sweet, and so much more. He was the perfect fit for Wren. And what a fabulous character she was. That's another thing Sloan does really well, she doesn't just have these intense guys who take over the story, she also brings us bold heroines who are smart, witty, loyal, and fierce. Together they completely drove this story. Their chemistry, their connection, it sucked me in.
Along with the characters and their relationship, Sloan wove in a bit of danger and mystery. As we focus on the excitement of their budding relationship, we are lulled into a sense of security, almost forgetting that there is a threat out there. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of this aspect to ramp up the suspense but that didn't effect my enjoyment of this book at all. I started reading and didn't stop until I was finished, that's how wrapped up I was.
Sloan surrounds Chance and Wren with fun and intriguing characters. I fell in love, not only with the two MCs, but with the guys of Loaded Replay as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know them all better and seeing where their stories lead.

Jaded Hearts is told in dual POV. Wrenlee Davenport is the lead singer of the band Loaded Replay and Chance Nash from Corps Security (the company that was the focal point of Ms. Sloan’s first series) is hired by Wren’s twin brother Weston. I adored the alternative POV as I really enjoyed being in each lead character’s head.
Loaded Replay the band has 4 members: Wren, Weston and their best friends since childhood, Jamison and Luke. I am going to pause here and say the backstory about their childhood was powerful and truly put their personalities and bond into perspective. I am very much looking forward to each band member getting a happy in a subsequent book.
Speaking of backstory, I should say when Chance reveals his WOW; my heart broke for this Veteran and sexy leading man.
Ok I am getting ahead of myself. Wren and Chance have an instant connection both they and the reader feels (ok at the end its even more than Wren knows but it works and was adorable to learn).
Wren and Chance’s cat and mouse game of trying to push off the connection is twisting the media and her fame and it was so well done! Nope not telling read the book. These two have chemistry that bleeds off the pages and banter that will have you smiling…. oh and yes it gets smoking hot too!
Ms. Sloan pulls off a superstar struggling with fame without you feeling like she is whiner or complainer!
The use of Cohen (from Ms. Sloan’s Hope Town series and the son of character from her Corp Security series) was masterfully used to move the story forward in the end.
Can’t wait for Jamieson to take center stage in the next book in the series; he was funny, witty, sexy and in the end a great friend to all those around him… Ok, ok he is a manwhore too so I can’t wait to see who captures his heart!
Oh I should mention the epilogue was masterful; providing the reader a wonderful look forward done in a way that suits the book, the world it lives in and that characters who were crafted! (vague I know read the book).
If you have never read this author and rockers are your sweet spot, dive in as this book is easily read as a stand alone!
