Enjoyable read; good story line. Suggest reading Poison Feather and Cold Harbor (3rd in the Gibson Vaughn series) back-to-back as the story line from the former flows directly into the latter - for that matter reading all 3 in the series back-to-back makes the most sense as it really is one continuous story line with characters from one book reappearing in subsequent books.

In my opinion, Matthew Fitzsimmons' strength as writer is his cool humor and, most of all, his ability to paint sympathetic characters, even fhe would-be villains. Can't wait to plunge into the next book!

Good characters but too much space devoted to his unresolved problems and too much referrnce to authors last book. Even though I read the previous book I couldn't recall the references to Atlanta. Also, a very unsatisfying ending intended to convince the reader to buy the next book. I won't.

Four stars, again....Gibson Vaughn has more than nine lives. Mr. Fitzsimmons has once again crafted a great story around a wide cast of characters. Kudos and highly recommend this book to all who love the thrill of a suspenseful novel.

I really like the author and the main character. The ending of the book was no ending at all in my opinion. You don't let your hero/main character be taken into who knows where. I was looking forward to the next book, not so sure now...

Really good follow up to The Short Drop. Fitzsimmons is an intrigueing author who holds your attention from beginning to end. The last chapter may be disapointing. But not really. Can't wait for the next book.

Great characters and pace, so I felt very invested. However, the ending lacked the figurative and literal payoff. I assume this is a to-be-continued for the next novel, but the ending was a little too ambiguous for me. A teaser of the first couple chapters of the next book would help. I really do enjoy Gibson Vaughn as a character, and look forward to lots more from Mr FitzSimmons.

I enjoyed the return of Gibson Vaughn and the very relevant plot line. The final, endless bloodbath was too fantastic and the "cliffhanger" ending very disappointing. This might make a good Netflix series, but I am finished with Gibson Vaughn.

Poisonfeather was good but not as great as the first. The first left me anxiously awaiting the next part of the Gibson Vaughn saga, this just left me with unanswered questions....possibly leading to a 3rd in the series?
