Sullivan Brothers Nice Girl Serial Trilogy - Book #1 (CAN'T RESIST)

Violet Duke does an amazing job with character development. I fell in love with Abby and Connor. I love to see alpha males develop feelings in a love story that they do not know how to handle. I think most men have a difficult time sorting out their feelings and expressing them. Connor thinks he can walk away after 28 days and not look back just like he always has but Abby is different then other girls. She is sweet and kind and could care less about his status or money. I loved this entire series and look forward to Violets spin off series coming soon.

Why is it different? Well, reviewers are all over the map. This is good, this is bad, and on and on. Well, I read this book (and the other 2) and enjoyed it for what it is. FICTION! If you don't like it, stop reading it. Sure, you can give others who may not like it a heads up as to why you did or didn't like it, but geez, don't rip the author. I KNOW I couldn't write books at all. Honestly, some of the comments about how it was written I admit I couldn't 'see'. I only know what I like/enjoy and what I don't. And I got a kick out of this. Sure, it's a bit unrealistic, but aren't most romance novels just that?

I had read Violet's cactus creek books. Loved them so decided to give this series a chance. If you love to laugh and cry during your book then this is the one for you! I love the characters. They and their emotions are very real. It's also fun to realize that there's crossover between this series and cactus creek. Enjoy it!! Then join the rest of Violet's fans as we patiently (or not so patiently) wait for more amazing books!

If the book and story ended without having to buy book 2 then I would have given it at least four maybe five stars. The story line was getting a little thin by the twentieth chapter to end with a dangling ending, not good. I truly can't see another book coming out of the cute storyline. Just a ploy to get people to buy a book. Let the writing hook the reader so one willingly goes and buys other books. Sadly, I won't be looking for others.

Holy Smokes Batman!!! Conner is Hot but infuriating at the same time on occasion but and something about sweet Abby changes everything he truly believed he could control and keep a tight reign on. But you will love the challenges they go through that both push them out of their comfort zones and the dynamic of love she has for all the Sullivan's. After you read this you will not be able to resist any other story by Violet Duke. This is a cliffhanger but your in luck she does have this trilogy in a all in one!

There are many people out there that hate cliffhanger's, I'm not one of them! But oh my gosh, I can't wait to read book 2... I actually downloaded "resisting the bad boy" w/o reading any summary or ratings but because I had just finished another amazing Violet Duke book & this was FREE!!! I LOVED both books I've read & CANNOT WAIT to download more!! Keep em coming Violet, excellent writing!!!

Loved everything about this story. The humor, the bartering, hot Connor, and feisty Abby. There is something deliciously infectious about this love story. I am still smiling. Just bought all three of the other series books. I do not want to be interrupted until I finish. Love Violet Duke.

Warning: If you don't like books that have cliffhanger endings you won't be pleased. I really enjoyed this book & couldn't put it down. I liked all of the characters but then it ended & I needed closure. I hurridly ponied up the $.99 cents to get the next book to find out who Abby picked but we don't find out there either! Now, here I sit, waiting for tomorrow when book 3 comes out so I can see what happens. I'm glad they're saying it's the third and final book though, because I really want to know. I will look forward to this authors future books as well.

First of all, I was disappointed in the ending. I really loved the story and couldn't put it down. Even though Conner was a player, I felt he still had a chance to make things work out with Abby. Their love bonds were too strong for them to give up on each other. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Oh, this book reaches for the emotions. Connor & Brian want nothing to do with their father who didn't have time for them when they were growing up but wants to push his own agenda on them. Abby has tended to have a crush on him over the years and has strong friendly feelings for Brian and his daughter. Connor is a player... can he change his habits?

I really loved this story, and although I was kind of hoping for a stand alone book, I am kind of glad there's a part two. this book does have a cliffhanger and all I can think right now is REALLY??? book two, I believe, will have some sort of love triangle, although I really wanna see her with Conner!!! Lol you have to read it to understand what I mean but you will love it!!! Violet Duke is an amazingly talented author!!! 5 stars!!! :))

Beautiful romantic story between Connor and Abby. Both of them were really too good. I liked this book very much. Besides romantic love affairs, there were also full of family love, brothers' love, friends' love. The author has done a great writing, I could not but be moved by the love between these characters.
And it's funny and humorous too. I could not stop smiling when Abby and Connor were negotiating the duration of their dating arrangement! Incredibly funny. Yet, one drawback about the book that I did not like so much was the sex scenes were too graphical, that's not necessary. The story was good enough and attractive without these spices.

Nevertheless, I like this book as much and could not put it down without finished reading to its last page. I cannot wait to start the second book to know what's going on to happen on them and I am lucky that I have not started the first book before all three are ready.

Resisting The Bad Boy was fantastic. You really get sucked into the story line. I was really rooting for Connor and I was a little dissapointed that it was a continued story to the next book, however, after reading all three books in a row I wasnt dissapointed but eager for the next story. Abby is your good girl next door and Connor is your bad boy. I laughed so much while reading this book. Buy Resisting The Bad Boy you won't be disappointed!

I loved reading Abby & Connor's story. The chemistry between the two was fun to follow. I enjoy Ms. Duke's writing and scene set-ups; she keeps you riveted to the storyline. I just really hate cliff-hangers though - accchhh! But I love her books so I will continue reading them.

I loved every moment of this book! Conner is every romantic's dream. Here is this strong, successful man who has vowed not to fall in love. Then comes Abby! She absolutely blows his mind and knocks him off his rocker! What starts as a time of good sex and fun, turns into Connor doing what he said he wouldn't do, fall in love!

This is a love story through and through. You will come to love Abby and Conner. I believe they are destined to be together despite what might be better for each of them. All you romantics at heart know that only true love conquers all.

Quite an entertaining read. Story was good. I couldn't help but adore Abby & Connor. Although they knew each other casually, before their relationship deepens in this book. Not quite sure about the twist, but hope the sequels are worth it.

Amazing read! I love Conner and Abby's story. Conner is the bad boy. Abby is the good girl. Conner meets Abby again at his party she was with Conner's younger brother Brian. Abby is helping Brian with his daughter Skylar her mother Beth passed away. Conner has a good kind heart but doesn't share his emotions to anyone. He opens up to Abby. Conner has a rule a month of dating. He loves Abby but afraid that he would hurt her.

Abby is your classic good girl - teaches, volunteers, and hands out at home instead of bars. Enter Connor, her best friends brother and classic bad boy... though bad boy isn't entirely true, he has a huge heart, that can't hold its own against sweet Abby. They decide to try things out for a month, no strings attached, which is Connors normal thing... they fall for each other, but neither wants to admit it - giving her best friend, Connors brother Brian, a chance...

Violet Duke book Resisting the Bad Boy, is driving me crazy. Doesn't Connor know Abby really has feelings for him, for a very long time. I know he thinks his brother is better for him, then he is. To Abby, Brian and her are just friends. Brian, I do feel sorry for his wife's passing and having a daughter to raise. Connor I still want to hit, for his one month thing and other things.....like opening his eyes more. Also, what kind of parents treat their sons that way. Trying to think what we could do to the father, really make sure the mother gets even with him.

I can not wait for the next book........!

I really enjoyed this book immensely. The characters were great. I was glad the Connor finally realized his feelings for Abby. I was also glad he went and talked with his mom to find out what was really going on. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

The dialogue reads completely natural--like an everyday conversation between people doing not so everyday things... Hey, it's my first time reading a romance novel--what can I say?:)
Violet Duke's strong personality comes through in the voice of her characters. While romance is new to me, I admit to guiltily not being able to put this book down for the 3 hours it took me to read it. Don't be surprised if the book leaves you hangin', though, as there are still 2 more parts to go (coming out in May & June I think).
The ebook runs just one more day at $0.99. Give it a read!!!

Very cute little love story it's amazing how some very smart people are really so stupid about love and that they just seem to over thing it. I don't get how he's so bad just misguided and brought up in the nose high world of having to much to see the world around him. Cute girl just doesn't know her worth, hope she can find it in the next book. So enjoy the read and audio!

Wonderful story, characters and plot. This book felt like a warm hug and now I'm go to read everything Violet has written.
I love that the characters are good people with a twist of problems and flaws. This is mildly erotic. Actually a breath of fresh air after so many of the dark reads out there.
And now, I CAN'T RESIST.

Quite an enjoyable read. Good and workable story line. I couldn't help but love Abby & Connor. They're two characters, who, even though they've known of each other's existence, have finally gotten a "new" chance to get to know each other. I'm not particularly a fan of books that practically force you to buy the sequel(s), but I can see myself buying the others in the series.

The book kept me hooked the whole time! !! Its not very cliché bt still stimulating. . I also loved having to see the male point of view mostly.... compared to always being in the heroines point of view

Ugh, didn't realize it would have a cliff-hanger! I keep finding these great authors in the freebie section. But the freebie section ends up costing me a lot of money because I have to buy the rest of the series! Great love scenes and funny, intriguing characters.
