The Summer I Turned Pretty

This novel was you typical teenager girl who fall sin love, but the twist is that there's more to the story. You live day by day with Belly and you feel whats she's feeling, and you see everything the way she see's it. You feel her emotions and know how she will react. This novel trilogy was very cute and i recommend it.

This easy and very summer perfect book was a breeze to read and seemed to exactly capture the emotions of a 16 year old girl so perfectly I will give it four stars. Great coming of age book for any growing teen.

I loved "belly" character she everything I want to be and her anger and happiest is what most girls go there in summer or even in teenage years you do get the vibe that Jeremy likes her and some from Conrad

the book the summer i turned pretty was an amazing page turner and one of the best books I've ever read. the first book of a 3 book amazing series is very realistic and relatable. while this book gives you hope for summers like Bellys and resembles a romance you see in fairy tails its also highly realistic, the book isn't all fantasy and happy, through the series you face death, loss, heart breach, heart ache and you fall in love with all of the characters yourself. even if you haven't had a summer like belly you can relate because we've all been a teenage girl with lust, love, and loss. i very very very highly recommend this emotional roller coaster to all audiences especially young adults, teens, or anyone looking for the best book in a long time. and guys don't be shy you'll love it too ;) MUST READ

This was a sweet story of growing up, friendship, and first love. I love Jenny Han's writing style. The only thing I didn't like was I felt like at the end of the story I had more questions. I'm one who likes everything wrapped up in a nice neat little bow at the end. lol
It does have a great message for young people in that it is okay to be YOU. Each person is unique and grows in their individual time. Life experiences; triumphs and tragedy will shape a person. You see the characters in Jenny Han's book grow from kids to young men and young ladies. Great summer read.

Some of my 6th grade girls requested "romantic" books. When I asked a few what made a book romantic they said when a boy and girl hold hands. This led me to THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY which is exactly what they want. An enjoyable read for a lazy day on the beach, a rainy day or any day. Recommended for 5th grade and up.

All three books are great and very age appropriate. I bought then on my kindle and decided I wanted them in paperback. When I read a book that is so good it becomes a part of me I want to have it on my book shelf, it's like I have a friend there reminding me how I felt when we hung out together.

From the moment I started reading this I couldn't put it down. I go to the beach every summer with the same family friends (all boys) so I could really relate to this book. It literally brought me to tears! I'm. So glad I bought it.

This book met my expectations and more!!! It had everything in it that I wish would happen to me in my summers! I highly highly highly recommend it to any girl who just wants to read an all round good love story type book?

The summer I turned pretty was an interesting and fun story to read. When Belly leaves her hometown for the summer and goes to her Cousins beach, her summer gets very interesting. Every summer she goes to this beach. She finds herself in a love triangle with the boy she has liked for so long and a new boy she meets this summer. Conrad, the boy she has liked for so long finally shows interest in her but she also likes a new boy named Cam. But not only these two, a lot more boys start showing interest in her this summer at Cousins beach. I liked this book because it was fun to read and made me excited for summer.
