I am hooked! The intrigue and emotions from this book are off the chart and it’s only just beginning! I read page after page and only after the last word realized I’d been holding my breath! I cannot wait to get my hands on book two!

I started reading this book with high expectations. Tony and Claire are a pair of my favorites. Aletha definitely did not disappoint. This is going to be a great series. Well done. Charli (Alex) and Nox are 2 strong main characters and will make this a pleasant ride. Thank you Aleatha.

I thought I had this storyline pegged. I was wrong. And I am so glad I was. I found myself up late reading this and that means it is a stupid good book. U can't wait to get the rest and finish this arc. Read it and lose yourself.

Aleatha did an amazing job on this series. I loved reading these. You'll be on the edge of your seats screaming and waiting to see what happens next throughout the book. Loved it so much I'm about to re-read them. Definitely a must read series. I have recommended this book to so many people already.

This series takes such an amazing turn after the book #1 Betrayal installment. An amazing group of love/hate characters, steamy (!!) romance, heart rendering flashbacks and some masterful twists that Aleatha is so famous for! I finished all five in 5 days since I couldn’t stop myself! Sometimes a few 1 or 2 star ratings in a sea of 5’s will put me off (and those readers are certainly entitled to their opinions) but this series only escalates with each book. Definitely on my reread shelf!! This is a DO NOT MISS!

The first book, Betrayal, of Aleatha Romig's new series, Infidelity, is fantastic. The book grabbed me in the first chapter. The main characters are amazing and the intensity, intrigue and the twists of the story is phenomenal. And the title of the series along with the titles of the books do not represent what you may think. It is not about cheating or anything like that - it is way more in depth on a personal level. I highly recommend this book and the series. You will not be disappointed.

Webster defines Betrayal as unfaithful in guarding, maintaining or fulfilling, to disappoint the hopes and expectations, to violate confidence, to deceive misguide or corrupt.
I discovered Aleatha from a little series called Consequences that you may have read (if you haven’t shame on you). I did not think there was any way possible she could surpass that series. There would be no better, no stronger story of an Alpha male to be told. After all, it’s Anthony Rawlings …but then again, it’s Aleatha Romig and how dare I underestimate her.
I am always in awe and amazed when I read anything this woman pens. She draws you in deeply, fully and totally. As always, Aleatha gives you characters that are mesmerizing, multi-faceted, intense, devious, compelling, and strong. Her characters are ones you either love or hate, but you find no middle ground for your emotions. She builds suspense like the crescendo of an orchestra…constantly increasing to become more intense, more profound…as with the music that takes over your soul; her words take over your thoughts. Her storytelling is captivating, enthralling and her books are soap operas on paper.
From the first letter until the last period she owns you. She pulls you into her character’s world, introduces you to the voices in her head and you battle hard to maintain a semblance of composure. When reading an Aleatha Romig novel, please be aware you will lose this battle. Her words are the weapons and her stories are the victor.
Betrayal (The Infidelity Series) is filled with lies, deceit, secrets, control, strength, passion and fear, corruption. It is a tale of woe, of family battles, of lies told and survival. I become lost in the tale and am on the edge of my seat anticipating the continuation.
Alexandria/Alex/Charli…is intelligent, driven, committed, controlled, afraid, determined, passionate, and willing. So many facets, so many names, so many identities…she switches between each persona with the ease of a chameleon.
Nox…is handsome, contained, fearless, sexy, refined, domineering, and at times abrasive. Yet there is a touching, tender, romantic, patient side to him that one does not often find…so many different faces, so many different personalities.
Each well-orchestrated identity of the character shows because of the amazing talent of Aleatha Romig. From the hero and heroine to the supporting cast, she brings a personality, a definitive trait and a closeness as one would have with a family member.
If you do not purchase, borrow, or read this book…you have betrayed yourself.

Creative writing almost seems effortless for Aleatha Romig. Her writing just flows. It’s smooth, easy-to-read and consistently clean of editing issues. She writes stories that will capture your attention and leave you yearning for more insight. Plots no one else would ever dream of. Novels that are dark and twisty, entertaining, and keep you theorizing long after you have finished reading.
Betrayal is the next great novel to be published by Aleatha Romig. It’s the first novel of her brand new Infidelity series, and Romig considers it dark romance. Please don’t judge Betrayal by its name. It’s not about a love triangle or cheating on a partner. According to Romig, “It’s about compromising your own beliefs for your heart and dreams.”
Our protagonist is Alexandria Charles Montague Collins. Alex is a Montague. The Montague family of Savannah, Georgia comes from old money. Montague women are proper Southern belles who are expected to marry and have babies to carry on the family name. A career is completely out of the question, but even so, Alex dreams of becoming an attorney. She’s well on the way to reaching her goal when she graduates summa cum laude from Stanford University and is accepted to Columbia Law School.
Just a few weeks prior to her move across the country, Alex and her best friend, Chelsea, decide to spend a week at the exclusive Del Mar Club and Spa. It’s a week without being confined to the pretentious Montague family cage. A week away from the rigid focus on her career and dreams. Her goal is to spend a week free of her restraints, living only for the moment, with her best friend, Chelsea. Alex reinvents herself as Charli (with an “I”).
“This was her week to live, to do what Alex wouldn’t and Alexandria couldn’t.”
It doesn’t take long for Charli to be approached. Her mystery man has broad shoulders, defined abs, a trim waist and thick thighs. He is dominant, confident in what he wants, and what he wants is to have dinner with Charli.
“Though I felt as though I, Charli, was betraying Alex, the woman I’d worked so hard to be, I agreed.”
The physical relationship that develops between Nox and Charli is extremely hot! It’s not about how explicit Betrayal is – it’s all about the chemistry, the control and trust, Charli letting go of her self-imposed and familial restraints. It includes everything that happens between them during one short week.
The main characters continue to stir my curiosity now that I am finished reading. Betrayal is mostly told from the point of view of Alex Collins, with the timeline shifting back and forth between present and past by chapter. Romig gives readers a decent picture of Alex, but something tells me we have only begun to crack the surface of her real life. I think Alex has skeletons in her closet that are yet to be revealed. Because Nox and Charli agree to “no past and no future” when they meet at Del Mar, we are given no indication of who Nox really is. We get a glimpse of his point of view towards the end of the story, and I am intrigued, that’s for sure.
Aleatha Romig has five novels planned for this series, and I have no doubt she is going to lead willing readers down a rabbit hole. Remember the Consequences series? I expect nothing less than a complicated plot that is full of twists and turns and heaps of irony. My mind is already swirling with theories and possibilities. Truly – what a fantastic start to a series! Betrayal deserves no less than a 5-star rating, but I’ve even toyed with giving it 6 stars. Congratulations to author Aleatha Romig for earning a spot on my list of 2015 favorites!

Oh goodness, I loved this book! Very sexy and enjoyable, I couldn't put it down. I just love Alex/Charli and Nox. There are several explicit sex scenes, so be warned if this isn't your cup of tea. I finished it in a day and downloaded the next one immediately, and I'm almost done with it and about to download Book 3! Love the series so far.

This series switches between the past and the present, between parents and children, but 5here is so much mystery in both deminsions that will keep you guessing what 5he heck is really going on. I have the whole series and will write my final opinion then. If you like mystery and controlling passion, Charli & Nox will give it to you.

This is my first encounter with Ms Romig's books. I was pleasantly surprised! The story was well constructed & captivating. I hesitate to give a synopsis since I don't want to ruin the potential readers experience. I read the genre of romantic erotica & Book 1 Betrayal, is an intriguing story that doesn't disappoint!

So I happened upon Aleatha's Consequences series in a Facebook group. I was reluctant to read it only because it was a little dark. I started it and I could not put it down. The whole series captivated me.
When I found out about Betrayal, I thought, can she pull it off again? Will I be disappointed? Do I have expectations set too high? YES, NO AND NO!!!
She did it again! It captured me from the get go. I loved the characters and their premise. Upfront and ready to let go and be someone else with no strings attached. How many people get that? And the underlying mystery surrounding Alex's home life. I will warn you there is a cliffhanger and you won't get all your answers in the first book. But that's the beauty of it...just leaves you wanting MORE!!!
I remember waaaaaay back in the day of soap operas--before DVR's and OnDemand. When a GOOD soap opera would end their cliffhanger on a Friday and you would have to wait until Monday or even Tuesday, to find out the fate of your favorite character!!! THIS is like that! We live in a society of instant gratification. Gotta have it NOW. Well, good things come to those who wait. And I'm willing to wait for the next book. (Hurry up Alethea!!!)
Great book to take you away, enjoy a good fantasy and then knock your socks off at the end. What you think will happen, well it could, but not the way you'd THINK it would.
Can't wait for more!!!!

This is my first exposure to Aleatha Romig's books. And was I blown away. I don't usually read suspense books. But this one is so riveting, that I have to read the whole series in less than a week. I won't divulge the story as you should discover it with yourself. What I can say is that is 100% recommended. And you won't be sorry...

Aleatha Romig continues her seduction with another series. Nox and Charli's story starts like a fairy tale, but soon becomes evident that we are only beginning the true story behind both of these characters. Strong and full of depth, our hero and heroine keep us wondering what will happen next. Like her other series', this one is hard to put down.

I have been waiting for a new series from Aleatha! It is here and I couldn't. Put. It. Down! Her style of writing is intriguing. Her building of characters is thrilling. The twists and turns have you so turned around that you don't know which way is up. The way she develops her characters and tells such an intricate story defines the writer that she is. She keeps you in your toes and when you think one thing will happen, she will throw that small little nugget of I for in there that will blow your mind. Read it! You must! And if this your first experience will the lovely Aleatha, go and download the rest. You will not be sorry! I promise! Thank you so much for great books!

The price that people pay living that lifestyle is not always what it's cracked up to be and to keep your freedom, sometimes u do drastic things..... A MUST READ!!!

Just expected more to happen in the first book. Story line didn't really pick up until almost 80%. From there it's fast paced and kind of a cliff hanger. Won't be reading the additional 4 books although they sound intriguing, just not going to spend $3.99 for 200 pages.

I enjoyed this novel very much.
Ms Romig builds the characters personalities. She twists and winds the plot, and drew me right into the characters heads. The background of the old South and their treatment of the young daughters as pawns in the family was right on. Can't wait to read the next book.

I avoid books about infidelity. I’ve tried them. They just are not my thing, so I steer clear. Give me a good HEA any day. When one of my favorite authors decides to create an entire series on the subject, it creates a bit of a conundrum. But the author is Aleatha Romig, so I was pretty confident that this was not going to just be a series about cheating.
Nox was supposed to be just a little a diversion. One week. Then it was back to business. Fun and attentive, not to mention, wealthy and beautiful. He definitely knows how to show a girl a good time, (in and out of the bedroom). I was pretty sure that there was no way Charlie would be able walk away from him at the end of their week together. In fact, I already had the whole plot worked out in my head. I just wasn’t sure how the “betrayal” part would factor in. I was wrong, of course. Charlie not only walked away from a dream week with Nox, she walked straight into the most unfathomable hell she could have imagined.
From the first words of the Prologue, I connected with Charlie. She’s a smart and driven woman who knows what she wants, and she’s willing (and able) to do the hard work it will take to achieve it. But when pressures from her high-profile family threaten to keep Charlie from realizing those dreams, Nox – her one-week, no-questions-asked fling – may be only one who can save her. But his help comes at a very steep price. Charlie is left to consider what she values more, her dreams, or her body?
Predictable!
No, not the story. The fact that Aleatha Romig can spin a tale, and just when I find myself settling into it, she pulls the proverbial rug out from under me.
It's October. My heart is pounding. And now I’ll be waiting until January for answers.
I love it!!

I read Betrayal after reading a sneak peek in Cocktales (anthology) & was not disappointed. I can’t wait to read Cunning & see if Charli is able to stand on her own two feet or if Nox is just another person who wants to lead her around without her permission.

This was such a good book and very different. Alex is the girl with a messed up family and must live by there rules, but she rebels against them. Then there is Nox who is gorgeous and gives Alex (Charli) a week she'll never forget and she doesn't until they meet again under different circumstances. Can't wait for the second book.

I really enjoyed he Consequences series(except the last book in that series was so disappointing),so when I saw this first book in Aletha's new series was free I decided to give it a try. This book was ok, not great, just okay but interesting enough for me to buy the second book which I'm beginning now. Plus the author is a good writer so I'm hoping the story gets better with the next book. I'm giving it a chance.
