Honestly, its so hard to find a teen novel that does not showcase an emotionally or mentally abusive relationship between the two chracters that are in love. In most books they romanticise the act of letting another person become your whole world. Which is abuse. This book was so oddly healthy. My mind feels better after reading it, I feel better. I enjoyed it so much....every last word.

Gosh, what do I even say... I read the first half of the book in one sitting as the story absorbed me. After putting the book down and staring into nothing waiting for sleep, I suddenly realised... well, I suppose you will have to read and find out. Throughout reading this book I cried, I laughed, I bit my lip and I rediscovered hope as the story laid over me like a blanket, an embrace of comfort and a reminder that we are not alone.

This book was recommended to me after reading John Green's "Turtles All The Way Down." At first, I couldn't get into this book. I felt it was a cheap imitation. I am so glad I decided to continue reading. I just had to find out what happened with Sam and AJ and the Crazy Eights. With a few twists, this book helped reinforce the idea that nobody is "normal" and sometimes we have to do what is best for our souls. Enjoy!

I suffer from severe OCD and could relate to many events in this book. It is true, it is mentally exhausting and NEVER turns off. Every day is different and you go through internal turmoil that may change from day to day. Thank you for a beautifully written book!

I looooved this book. Even though it’s about a girl in high school and it starts like it could end up as just another teen story, it is most definitely NOT. It’s been so long since I’ve read a book that made my cry as hard as this, build relationships with almost every character and not just the protagonist. I love reading and learning about mental health, and the author did their research. Absolutely amazing page-turner.

This book is amazing for how it captures the struggle of people who suffer from OCD. It shows how difficult it is to cope with the disorder and touches on the subject wanting I be normal and fit in with your body working against you, but most importantly it shows it’s okay to not be “normal,” that we all have our own things to deal with and that there maybe isn’t such a thing as “normal.”

This was a great novel. Originally I thought it was going to be about a girl struggling with dark tendencies, but in reality it is a heartwarming story about a girl who is finding herself through words. A great read! It really reminded me of the Dead Poets Society, but with a modern twist!

At first this book seemed like it was written only for girls in high school, but after a couple chapters I had to keep reading. Without giving too much away, it’s a story of trying to be “normal”, falling in love, and also loving yourself along the way. I really enjoyed it. Easy read.

I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down. I would recommend this book. Half way through I was starting to assume that what she thought was happening wasnt not. But I will have to say I did not see that coming about Caroline. This is a great book

Extremely well written and it's a rollercoaster of emotions that transport you to feel like Sam, the main character. Loved single struggle and smile that it brought as the main character developed through the story and always seemed to seek the positivity of things even when everything seemed to fall apart. Definitely will be recommending.

This is the best book I have read in a very long time! I was hesitant to start it (OCD didn't seem too interesting at the time....) but I fell in love with the characters and Sam's struggle was so real that pretty soon, I couldn't put it down. Finished in one afternoon because it was so amazing! I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could:)

Just wow!! I love this book to pieces! Added to my top reads of 2015. I found so much of myself in Sam and I was sad when her story ended too soon. Everyone needs to grab a copy of this book! You'll be glad you did :)

I have not been able to pick up a book in AGES. I decided to read this book, and I finished it in 3 days. I have not felt connected to a character like I have this one, and the amount of depth to this book has truly changed my perspective on the subject at hand. Thank you again for writing this amazing book!

Not only did I love this book, my 13 y.o. daughter was inters at the end of it. She said she didn't want it to end because she loved the characters so much. She said she could totally relate to what Sam was going through with finding new friends because she just didn't have so much in common with her old ones. Thanks Tammy!!!!!

The author of this novel did a really good job taking a very serious mental disorder and turning it into a beautifully written story. It has humor, romance, friendship, and an amazing theme of being comfortable in your own skin. Think Turtles All the Way Down but more light-hearted and with a better ending.

I love this book. It’s amazing! I couldn’t put it down. Every Last Word was interesting, funny, sweet and truly inspiring. I truly wish there was a series to continue reading, but I’m content with this one book.

This book was worth every penny. It was a refreshing change from the usual tropes of today's YA novels. A deep story with riveting characters and Sam's journey that was impossible to look away from. Would 100% recommend.

Dear Tamara,
This book is absolutely beautiful. It has the ability to make me laugh, cry, love, and live all at the same time. You are truly gifted. I want you to know how much you are truly impacting your readers, especially me by including and taking the time to research things like OCD, anxiety, and depression.
This book is truly teaching me to be brave with my words.
Love a thoughtful writer,
Kalila

This book broke my heart and then put all the pieces back together again. A great read for teens and even adults. I am 24 years old, but this sixteen year old kid brought me back to my high school years in the best way possible.

I haven't read a book in quite a while. This was a great book to get started back reading again. I was drawn in and don't want to put it down. I literally laughed and cried with the main character in the book. Definitely written very well and keeps you wanting to read more.

I have never loved a book as much as I do this one. I just finished reading it and it has taken my breath away. It is most definitely a cliche book. And the fact that the author invested so much research into OCD to make sure it was accurate and also to dedicate this to friend she knows that's going through this, stayed with me. This book is worth reading.

I enjoy books written in this style, where you feel like you're reading a journal or diary entry. I really enjoyed the way that Sam's OCD was presented, I feel like anyone could relate to her internal struggles and connect with the character. Loved it!

I was looking for something different to read and found it. This book is truly amazing on so many levels. I couldn't put it down. Seriously. I read most of it in one sitting.
I don't even have the words to describe how I feel.

I didn't purchase this book on the store, I bought it at B&N. I finished the book on 2 days. that's how great this book was. I loved how the author did this book on her mental illness. you don't really see books like these nowadays, especially if it's dealing with highschool. it was a great book, so many plot twists & blows your mind, in a good way. I'm definitely going to read it again when I have the chance. I was moved by this book, I laughed & cried.

This book was amazing. As someone who is OCD, has had anxiety problems, and depression problems her whole life (I'm 24 years old) it is great reading about it and connecting with the story even if it is fictional.

So, this book was very interesting at the beginning and middle of the book, but then I was just annoyed. SPOILERS!!!
Pretty much Sam has OCD, but she is keeping it secret from everybody (including her mean girl friends). Sam meets this girl Caroline, who introduces her to a poetry circle where she meets this cute boy who plays guitar.

Long story short Caroline is not real, and was simply made up by Sam's brain when she was stressed out.

This blew my mind and annoyed me. I had read this awesome book, but then this happens! What??!!

Three words: love love love!
(Pun intended)

This story was addictive to read and came with a great plot twist. Always kept me wanting more and wish there were more stories that were about mental illness.

The book held my attention and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. I thought it was interesting that the author chose to talk about other aspects of OCD, rather than the organizational aspect.

I would recommend this book to anyone with any type of mental illness. It gives great insight on how others handle MIs. It offers hope to anyone that had a MI, maybe we all need someone to love us while we try to love ourselves.
