The second book is just like the first one - hard to put it down once you start reading it. Interesting characters woven into unusual settings where the suspense just keeps rising. Anxious to start the next one.

Gripping and fast-paced, "Sins of the Father" expands on the world and characters of "All the Blue-Eyed Angels" in the best ways possible. The plot is complex and compelling without becoming bogged down in mythology or unending red herrings. Blood's characters also continue to shine, making the reader want to cheer for them and yell at them all at the same time. Pick this up and I promise you won't want to put it down!

I really like this series and keep buying more. The books just hold my interest and make me want to keep reading. The characters are interesting even if they sometimes do foolish things. And each one makes me want to read the next (good job, author!).
Blood Father (Blood Curse Series Book 6) :: The Autobiography of St. Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower) [The Authorized English Translation of Therese's Original Unaltered Manuscripts] :: Legends in Exile (Fables (Graphic Novels)) - Fables Vol. 1 :: Little House in the Big Woods - By the Shores of Silver Lake :: Blood Memory: A Novel (Mississippi Book 5)

Well written--suspenseful and not predictable! Definitely recommended. One would think Erin would learn. Only thing that I'm not sure how I felt about it are the dynamics between Erin & Diggs and Erin & Jack.

I really enjoyed the book. It was intense in some places and I couldn't put it down. The only thing I did not like was that sometimes the characters were confusing. I would recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries involving serial murders.

I was so glad when this book was finally released. It was well worth waiting for. The best book I have read in quite a while. Many characters and full of suspense. The price is also great for such a good book. Once I started reading it, I did not want to stop. I can't wait until next year when the next book is released. This is a real page turner that kept me guessing all of the way through. I love how it ends leaving a few mysteries still out there.

I couldn't put this down!! The story was riveting and suspenseful! I am sure my facial expressions were hilarious for my family to watch as I read this--from shock, and lip biting, to a giggle here and there. Though I know that the next book won't be out until next year, I have heard that we will have something from Jen Blood to tide us over!!!

Absolutely fantastic!! This book is the second in a series and the best so far. The feeling that I am in this story physically and the suspense around each corner is intense. Many times on the edge of my seat. Waited for this book to come out, read it in 3 days and was not disappointed. Looking forward to 2013 for the next one. Great read!

This fast-paced second installment in Jen Blood's Erin Solomon series had me from the get-go. The two main characters in the series (Erin and her sometimes love interest Diggs) remind me in many ways of Dennis Lehane's pairing of Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro--the relationship here just as sizzling and tense (and complicated in this case by a long, complex history, not to mention the presence of Jack Juarez, an FBI investigator with more than a passing interest in Erin). The sexual tension and snappy repartee prove a nice foil to the twisty, fast-paced plot. There's a visceral tug to the last quarter of the book that makes it impossible to put down, so be forewarned. Hurry up, Jen! Can't wait for book three!
