Gentry Boys are some for my all time favs. Reading this story was like going home again. We get to meet Cassie and Curtis. They cracked me up from the beginning with their preconceived ideas of each other especially considering how off they both were. They both represent FAMILY so well even when dealing with their own missteps. This author knows how to write about young love and always keeps me intrigued. That stays true for this book as well. Cassie is blessed to be part of the Gentry clan and even with some devastating events in high school still knows she will always have her family and has a good heart. Curtis amazes me. He completely changed his life, stepping up to the plate to take on his younger brothers. Getting his brothers was probably a saving grace considering his life before. What a sweet story with some steamy on the side. Also loved getting caught up with some of the original Gentry’s. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of this second generation. Happy Reading!!!

Title: Turn (Gentry Generations)
Author: Cora Brent
Publication Date: 1/12/18
Genre: Contemporary Adult Romance
**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
Turn is technically a standalone book but honestly, to get the full effect, read the other book in Gentry Generations and the Gentry Boys, which started it all.
This isn't really just a romance but a book about judgement, second chances, and forgiving ourselves and others. The whole Gentry storyline has really taken familial relationships to the point of learning hard lessons. You can depend on family to be there but you need to also figure out things for yourself also. Trust who you are.
What is that quote, to paraphrase: be the change you want to see in the world. That sums up the Gentry family. Turn is a slow burn in the passion area but it allows our main characters to know each other and themselves. Just awesome. One Click if you haven't already.

Turn follows Curtis and Cassie. Curtis' dad had been a good friend of Deck Gentry, before he was killed. Curtis had been living his life in petty crime and gangs until a phone call from him brings him home. His mum is being being prosecuted for fraud and flees the country leaving Curtis to look after his 2 younger brothers. After losing the family home, to pay off his mum's debts Curtis leaves Emblem and heads to Phoenix where Deck is offering help and a job. The story follows how Curtis has to learn to bring up his brothers, deal with the hard decision of letting his eldest sibling go as he chooses to return to Emblem and a gang lifestyle. We also learn more about Cassie, the events that shaped her at school and how she's putting her life back together. Then there's the chemistry between Curtis and Cassie. A great addition to the Gentry books.

Absolutely loved this book!!! I mean what is better than getting to see more of the Gentry’s? And to actually learn more about the second generation is absolutely amazing!!! The whole time you just want to scream at them to stop being stupid and to just give into the chemistry that is brewing between the two of them. You’ll fall in love with Curtis for just being him. You’ll also love him bc he reminds you a little of the Gentry triplets. I was also so happy to learn more about Cassie and what had happened to change her. She’s such a strong, sweet, loving person and all you want for her is happiness. You’ll stay on the edge of your seat in some parts and pump your fist in the air on others. Like I said this is an absolutely amazing book and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book of this series!

Cora's stories from the Gentry Generations get better with each couple! I absolutely loved Cassie and Curtis' story. Cassie is hired to work at her dad's tattoo shop where she meets brooding Curtis. Curtis, a man with a past of being in a gang, turns his life around to be his brothers' legal guardian once their mother jumped bail and fled the country.
The slow-building chemistry between Cassie and Curtis was addicting! I loved how it wasn't fast paced...we were able to really learn about each character and hear their thoughts from this dual POV book. I was excited to read about Cami and Dalton, a couple from the previous Gentry Generations book - Strike.
I highly recommend this book!

Cassie and Curtis (Double C, as I’ve lovingly nicknamed them) were EVERYTHING!!! Cora Brent knocked this one out of the park again. Throughout the Gentry books we’ve seen Cassie grow up and it was so nice reading her story. She and Curtis went through so much individually and misjudged each other in the beginning. I loved seeing them grow as friends then as a couple and realized that they were perfect for each other. I always appreciate that Cora gives us updates about the other Gentrys in throughout her books as well. Hoping that Tristan gets his own story, my heart broke for him. Also, Cadence needs her own story as well.
I’d definitely recommend reading Turn and all the Gentry books. You won’t be disappointed.

I've loved everything Gentry since I first read Cord and Saylor 's love story and messy history.
Cora Brent is a master of weaving stories that intertwine an entire family line with all those the fantasy packed Gentry triplets pull into their fold.
Now the next generation of Gentry 's just may be even more entertaining and addictive than their parents. Cassidy 's tale rounds out the love interests of Cord and Saylor 's adult twin daughters.
The relationship between Cassidy and Curtis is not a quite a fairy tale but it is everything that Brent 's books are known for, love, angst, brutal life issues and family reality.
I'm waiting with bated breath for book 3!!

Turn is amazing book. A classic bad boy meets good girl romance that is well written and showcases the beautiful romance that blossoms between Cassie Gentry and Curtis Mulligan. These two have great chemistry and it is a true pleasure watching their romance grow from an attraction to so much more. An emotion packed book about trouble pasts, letting go, the love and warmth of family and personal strength. This is another great story that takes place in the Gentry Boys world and I highly recommend it and all the other books Gentry related. I'm posting a voluntary honest review after reading an advance copy of this book.

Okay, so this was definitely not my favorite of the entire Gentry clan. I would venture to say this was my very least favorite.
I’ve never really thought of Cora Brent as a slow burn author, but this was turtle pace burn. And the angst, oh the angst. I really just wanted to say “hurry up and get on with it already!”
Curtis is the proverbial bad boy
Cassie is the stereotypical good girl, twin daughter to Cord and Saylor Gentry, with skeletons of her own in the closet.
They get off on the wrong foot and really just rub each other the wrong way. They eventually overcome all of that and finally decide to make a go of it.
And herein lies my biggest complaint with this book. They didn’t get together until the last 13% or so of the book. That was it. There was none of the typical relationship stuff. Get together, next chapter she’s basically living with him, she tells him she loves him off page and we just get the recounting of the first time.
In short, I didn’t feel like this was a romance book. This book was more about their struggles outside of the relationship and they just happened to end up together and magically ended up living HEA.
Glad I read it, anxious for the next (hoping for Cadence and Jake), but I won’t be rereading this one.

Every single time Cora Brent releases a new book, I know it's going to be a very good day.
Cassie and Curtis completely have my heart. Individually, they struggle with obstacles and past poor choices. Bring them together and they become an unshakable force for decency. Together they define the phrase 'love conquers all'.
Cora Brent really knows how to write tortured characters who are essentially decent but flawed human beings.
The slow burn nature of this story was an absolute pleasure to read and savour.
A beautiful, engaging read from start to finish.

I absolutely love the Gentry family. I became a fan with the very first book. I look forward for each new book. I love reading about Cord and Saylor Gentry's children. And getting a little of each family member in each book. Cassie was a sweet girl and love found her when she was least expecting it. Curtis was sweet and caring with a little bit of a rough edge. I enjoyed reading about Cassie and Curtis's lives. Now I am ready for the next one, Cora Brent.

I will never understand why my family feels they have to eat more than once every two days, but apparently they do. That is the only reason I did not complete this book in one sitting. This was excellent(much better than the rushed dinner I made)! The series the spin off, the next generation... all excellently written, fantastic story line, hot men, romance, depth, and amazing characters you completely fall in love with!!!
Can't wait for the next!!!!

Curtis has just landed an apprenticeship working in scratch for Cord Gentry piercing in the tattoo shop. He’s the guardian for his brothers Tristan & Brecken.
Cassie doesn’t give Curtis a good impression resting her coffee cup on his car it may be an old banger but it’s his life. First impression aren’t good for the pair but will they see how wrong the were in assuming?

This particular generation of Gentry don't pull at me to read them like the first generation did. I don't need their stories and enjoy them well enough when I get the.
Curtis and Cassie had a good story but I didn't feel anything for them, I wasn't committed to reading them like I was with Cami and Dalton.
I do love Cora's writing so unless she goes way off into left field I'm going to keep reading.

Another solid 5 stars for Cora Brent. This is not only the love story of Cassie and Curtis but really of the whole Gentry family. Full of heart, caring, and loyalty, there are so many layers to this book. Cassie and Curtis take their relationship from attraction and lust to trust and caring to true love. They are one of my favorite couples in the remarkable Gentry clan.

As alway I loved to read another Gentry story. Curtis and Cassie were amazing together. The only downside was I wish they would have gotten together a little sooner in the story. I also felt a connection to Cassie considering I had a similar high school experience as she did. I think Cora hit the nail on the head with how that situation played out.

Theses Gentry’s just keep getting better and better.. Curtis is a down on his luck guy, who is trying to keep his family together. Cassie is trying to figure out where she belongs and what to do with her life. They meet and sparks fly, they slowly come to have feelings for each other.
They fall in love and together they can handle anything. The rest of the Gentry clan is there to help if needed.

Just like every Gentry book that Cora gives us, this one doesn’t disappoint. Love the awkwardness of Cassie and Curtis’ relationship and how that turns into something so much stronger. Start at the beginning of the Gentry Family Tree and work your way through all of these amazing books. Cora brings us passion, inspiration and love in everything she does. Wonderful book!

I have honestly not read the Gentry books in order & that’s probably not recommended. However, this book was really good and I plan to go back and catch up. The Gentry family is definitely addicting. Love Cassie and Curtis as a couple and loved the build up to their love story.
This story is a lot slower in terms of the physical relationship developing between the two, however it works! Although I would have loved to had more of them together!
