Redemption / Remember / Return / Rejoice / Reunion (Baxter Family Drama—Redemption Series)

These books are incredible, well-written, and dear to my heart. I feel like I know the Baxter family personally. Karen Kingsbury is an extremely gifted author. In spite of the crazy drama, a Christian worldview is clearly presented. I could easily give this series five stars, but I have one reservation. There is just too much intense emotion and needless suffering. I felt exhausted at the end of the first book! I felt like I suffered with Kari, Tim and Ryan through that whole ordeal, and to have it end the way it did made me crazy. Almost like a Christian soap opera! But the story carries on, and the Baxters become very dear to me. I have read the rest of the Baxter books (after these), but the Redemption series has a special place in my heart.
