This book and Barron's SAT Biology together are what you need to do well on the SAT Biology E (I took the E one, not sure about M). I first read through the content in Barron's, then I used this book to reinforce all the concepts. I really love this book's practice tests, drills, and clear + easy to comprehend formatting, which, unfortunately, Barron's is lacking. However, the sacrifice is a little less information ... so that's why you should use Barron's with it. That's what I did, (along with studying consistently for my high school biology class and watching a crash course on Youtube) and it really helped me achieve a high score! Thanks, Princeton Review!

The overall quality of the book is okay. The book does not go into great detail and explains concepts poorly with easy examples. It then makes challenging practice problems that have solutions that do not explain the answer well. I suggest to look for a different book for the physics SAT subject test.

In the first 50 pages, there was a distinct error that was not only reiterated in the quiz at the end of the section, but on the practice test itself. I ended up getting an 800 on the test. But had I relied on this book, I would have gone in thinking that I would get a 500. The practice tests are overly challenging, and the specificity of the equations they require is not representative of the real test itself. Get the book if you must, but do not think that just knowing the equations will get you an 800. Online resources are more reliable than this printed madness.

This book is not the best choice, especially for students who are aiming at a high or perfect score. I studied on it for a couple of weeks, realizing that I was only losing my time. It makes you learn lots of unuseful formulas and concepts, which are not tested. I switched to the Barron's book (Barron's SAT Subject Test Physics) and that was much, much better. I studied all its topic and in less than a month, on June 4, I was ready to pull my 800.

I have only praises to the publisher who compiled this guide to SAT for students.
The result was marvelous.
My niece, who attempted the SAT in India obtained a cumulative total of 1800.
She's not happy though, and wants to attempt once again for SAT test and obtain
even higher scores.
So she'll be going through these guides to SAT over and over again.
Thank you the store and PRINCETON.

Fast delivery, perfect condition. This book covers mechanics, electromagnetism, and miscellaneous topics in high-school physics very well. If you want more coverage of modern physics topics, you can combine this book with the Barron's SAT Subject Test Physics 11th Edition so that you can secure 800.

This book does present the general topics of the SAT Physics Subject Test in a coherent manner. However, when the author descends into the details of the material, the value of this book falls apart. The explanations are riddled with contradictions and inconsistencies among uses of variables and quantities. When deriving useful relationships, the author tends to randomly substitute variables and constants that were not yet introduced. Overall, this book is useful if one is willing to try to decipher the cryptic explanations presented by this author. This is certainly not a good guide for beginners or faint of heart. If you do decide to enter into this trying journey, Godspeed!

There's writing all over the book, including some inappropriate drawings on a few pages. A lot of the answers are already filled in, sometimes in pen, and I've spent a while trying to erase everything in there. Next time, if your going to sell something, please have it in better condition.

This was an interesting book because it contained the preparation needed for two different Subject tests...US and World History. My daughter who took the AP US History test decided after reviewing the book that she would not take the subject test due to the fact that she felt unprepared. My second daughter who had prepared for World History, did find the information very, very helpful and did proceed to take that examination. A good book for two different tests. Highly recommend for either or both.

The first sample test has a question with no correct answers. I didn't bother looking any further.
Question 12 lists reflection, refraction, polarization, diffraction, and interference, and then asks "Which phenomenon is NOT experienced by sound waves?"
The explanation for the supposed wrong answer is that "Since sound waves are longitudinal, they cannot be polarized."
Solids have transverse sound waves (also known as acoustic phonons) that can be polarized.
Question 12 and the answer would be OK if it asked " ... by sound waves in air?" and answered "Since sound waves in air are longitudinal ..."
