Review:This book isn't bad, but has a LOT of typos and repeats the same information many times. I don't think a review book should say the same thing over and over again.. it doesn't feel like a review. The practice questions aren't bad, but the answers aren't always correct. It seems like they are using an old test bank for the answers and sometimes they do not reflect the question. Read more
Review:This book contains so much information, ensuring that it will cover everything but also hindering its ability to serve merely as a review book. It has so much information that, to some extent, it might as well be a world history textbook. Based on the detailed curriculum that the College Board has on its webpage for AP World History (http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/courses/teachers_corner/4484.html?excmpid=MTG243-PR-16-cd), this book may contain too much information. Even if you are... Read more
Review:I purchased this book twice. Once because I failed every single practice question in the book. The second time was because I wanted to review the information and try again after seeing what I did wrong. I failed most of the second tries again and decided to wing it on the actual Praxis test. I had absolutely no problem passing the Praxis test and I got fairly high scores. I'm not sure why I did poorly on all of the practice questions, but I'm pretty disappointed in the book even though I did pas... Read more
Review:The book is massive and is exactly what my sister was looking for. I even selected no priority shipping so I was expecting it to arrive a week or two out and got it within the same week ordered it. It's perfect. Read more
Review:I Loved It!! Failed my first test without it, but passed my second time! The A&P wasn’t too detailed, so I used information from the book and A&P pocket prep. The math is on point!! Math and A&P were my highest scored sections this time around! Read more
Review:This book completely lacks Humanities passages, which are certain to show up on the MCAT (~2 passages), and are also typically the hardest passages to tackle. This book is useful to a certain extent to practice timing/strategy, etc., but don't stop here with your Verbal practice. Read more
Review:I thought I was educated before, but this wonderful book taught me new reading skills and whetted my appetite for the classics. Though I went to a good high school and college, I spent most of my time hearing about how "great" the Great Books were, without being much encouraged to sit down and crack one open. The Well-Educated Mind has helped to change that, which is why I disagree with the negative review posted earlier on this page. Maybe we "should" have learned how, why, and what to read i... Review:This book and Barron's SAT Biology together are what you need to do well on the SAT Biology E (I took the E one, not sure about M). I first read through the content in Barron's, then I used this book to reinforce all the concepts. I really love this book's practice tests, drills, and clear + easy to comprehend formatting, which, unfortunately, Barron's is lacking. However, the sacrifice is a little less information ... so that's why you should use Barron's with it. That's what I did, (along with... Read more
Review:This book, Phonics Pathways started out with "acknowledgements". It then had a lengthy introduction. Then the reader journeys through "About Phonics Pathways". Then there was a discourse on "Getting Started". Then it had an article, "About Dewey". All of that before delivering anything informative about phonics. It did offer some good tools for teaching phonics after 12 pages of "stuff'. The tools it provided is the only reason my score for this book isn't lower. Read more
