I loved the plot line and the characters! It would be great to do a follow up book along the line to describe what CIA's life is like years down the road. Does she have children, did Tomas go with her, what her new job is. I definitely recommend this book to any reader that liked the Hunger Games and Divergent since this book seems to meld both in a new and exciting plot!

This was the final book in the Trilogy. I enjoyed all three books. A great young adult read. Same kind of ideas that find in other YA dystopian society books like the Divergent series or the Hunger Games series.

The overall ending was okay. Not near as disappointing as the conclusion to the "Divergent" series but it definitely wasn't as in depth as I would have liked. Too much love story going on and not enough about the actual plot. Also.. The ending seems to be open-ended.. Like there could be or possibly is a fourth book in the series that hasn't been published yet.

This book went above and beyond my expectations after reading the first two books in this series. Don't get me wrong- the first two books were very good, but as I said in my earlier reviews, they seemed too similar a combination of the Hunger Games and Divergent. This final book, however, was amazing. Ms. Charbonneau really broke the mold. I read most of the book in one sitting (which is a bad idea given the school work I should have been doing instead).

I think one of the biggest things that made this book so much better is the character development. Cia was faced with more challenges than ever before, and grew as a result. You saw her battle inner and external conflicts with the United Commonwealth, with friends and family, with her role as a student and future leader, and with her innate need to trust others despite advice not to. Also, while I do not want to give away the ending, there was a major twist at the end that I did not expect.

Definitely a 5-star book. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The trilogy started out good, but towards the end I wanted to finish it less and less. The trilogy ended just like most movies and books would, and the characters' personalities morphed into the stereotypical types of protagonists. Read this trilogy only if you're fine with reading something similar to what you've read your whole life.

This trilogy had so much potential but the ending of this book seemed rushed. I was extremely disappointed, I think this book was worse than the divergent trilogy ending.. at least that series gave you some closure

I loved how much action there was, although the main character could not kill anybody! That's the reason I give it four stars.???????????????????
