Book was recommended to me by a client dealing with an aggressive form of cancer, who has had some of the same experiences as the patients in this book. It's a pleasant read, filled with real comfort and hope for those experiencing any doubts concerning the reality of heaven and Jesus Christ. I think it's worth reading.

Can't recommend this enough....
I'ts not only comforting...it's eye opening!. This man has peeked thru the veil of life and death MANY times. He seen, felt, smelled, etc. He's watched people leave AND come back.It truly is a wonderful book. Such wisdom and insight. He was a little boy who could hear the Lord's voice, became an atheist when relatives, who were Christians, were murdered and then came full circle. For anyone who has suffered loss of loved ones, afraid of death, etc., you will find great comfort in this book.

His practical country mindset adds realistic color to Reggie Anderson's memoir on life and death. As my husband passed from death to his new life, I too was allowed to experience the peace that passes understanding and the joy unspeakable that my husband was feeling. Dr. Anderson's memoir puts my experience into context and I can agree that Heaven isn't far away, it is alongside us. Couldn't put it down. Can't wait to go.

This is a great book. Actually autobiography of country medical doctor who by chance was psychic and had experienced tragedy and triumph in his life. It was very interesting and could have been made into movie.

He could predict his winning lottery when he was young. When he was still young, he met tragedy. Originally religious boy became non-believer of God by confronting with this most hideous atrocity - massacre of 6 whole family of his cousins by escaped convicts, of whom he befriended with when he was helping watermelon sale in local country fair. This was historical happening - one of the worst crimes committed in the State. He lost faith as a result of this tragedy, but while growing up, he met his sweet heart who was religious. And he became Christian again after he dreamed of his murdered cousins. And the story goes to his life successfully developing and of his becoming medical doctor and helping people in country side.

He became familiar with dying procedure while attending patients on their death beds. He witnessed of dying patients showed paranormal phenomena. He could experiences the heaven himself while attending patients.

Anyway, this was great book as life story and as search for God story. I am not religious person, but I could believe what was written in this book.
Heart warming life story with unconditional love everywhere. I am glad to know such fine country Doctor still exist in this greedy world. His story makes me believe that afterlife exists and heaven is not so far away.

I loved this book, so I recommended in my Japanese blog, introducing what contents this great book had.

I am happy to recommend without reserve of this wonderful, interesting auto-biography.

Excellent read and powerful uplifting testimony. I lost my dad I had cared for this past year and my husband divorced me after 32 years of marriage as well because of my faith in The Lord Jesus. Both have been devastating and death blowing events to me physically, emotionally and spiritually. The "whys" have rung like a broken record in my ears. God has used this book to give me a well needed booster shot of faith. Thank you to the author for sharing your journey. -sincerely in Christ, my all in all, Sherry (mom of five on earth and five in heaven)

I would highly recommend this book by Dr. Reggie Anderson. This is based on his own experience working with patients and is a realistic portrayal of happens as we transition from this earth plane to a non-physical reality. I would also recommend Dr. Penny Sartori's books as she was also a carer for the dying. I am a grieving mom.

It was an awesome book. Meant something to me and my husband because we went to school with Reggie and his sister. His dad taught my husband so we knew some of the people in the book. Made it personal for us. I'm glad Reggie decided to share his experiences with the world. Very inspiring and uplifting.

Wonderful book. It sure is a feel-good book. Very inspirational. Shows you that God is always there through the good as well as the bad. As long as you believe in Him and realize that He has a purpose for everything, He'll open your eyes to a beautiful world. God is good. . .

I have never experienced an encounter with heaven as Dr Anderson has, but that does not mean I don't believe they are possible. I loved this book and felt as though I was reading fiction. It is that interesting! And I found it to be a book of great comfort and insight

I recently lost my parents very suddenly, just 8 weeks apart. I was with them both at the very moment they died. It has been devastating for my family. When Steven Curtis Chapman recommended this book, I knew it had to be good because his music has been getting us through the grief. I didn't expect this book however to change my perspective on God and heaven to the point of changing my entire life. I have less fear and more hope about seeing my parents and loved ones again then I ever had before. If I could, I would buy 100 books and give one to every friend or family member who loses a loved one. It is in the top five of the best books I have ever read.

Thanks to the author who shared his testimony as a doctor. I could not put the book down and was looking forward to more stories of his patients and life. I read it on Kindle. I am from India and stayed in Alabama for few months few years ago and the stories brought back fond memories of my stay and the people.

An interesting and informative autobiographical account of Dr. Anderson's experiences as a country doctor, and as a boy, a man who turned away from God, and was reconciled to Him in an amazing way. Great book for Christians, people who have experienced tragedy and loss, or anyone who wonders what comes after we die. Great gift to your friends and family who aren't Christians . . . Yet

This book is beautifully written and describes the spiritual side of life as seen through the eyes of a Family MD. His descriptions of heaven and what happens when one passes to the other side are inspirational. I would recommend this book to everyone.
