It was quite insightful. Everything that was discussed can be easily applied to marital relations once the effort is put forth. What stands out in my mind from reading this book is the underlying importance of wives respecting and honoring their husbands.

I enjoyed this book very much, I will definitely recommend it in the future. I read this book while I was engaged and it was extremely helpful to me personally in answering and addressing certain questions I had at that time.

This is a great and encouraging book. All wives who are serious about having a successful, Godly marriage should read this. If you are not prepared to learn God's plan and order for your marriage, this book isn't for you in this season!

If you find this hard to do, then perhaps marriage is not for you! I love this short book because it's just a quick reminder of who I am in Christ and my responsibilty to be a help mate to my spouse. It's easy to play on a team where everyone knows their position. I'm not the catcher, trying to be the pitcher!

Great Godly insight into what leads to problems in marriage and how to apply God's Word to every aspect of your life. It shows how honouring God is in everyone's best interest and that God wants to be a part of our marriages to make them work.

This book was another awesome reader by Dr. Tony Evans. I really enjoyed him reading how God wants a real woman to live and follow his commandments by submitting to the head of household even if he is not leading.

Very good advice given with verses from the Bible to read and follow. The advice given will assist all married ladies regardless of how long they have been married. I've been married for 41years...but there is always room for growth.

We are taught as women in America to be independent, self-sufficient, and to take control of our lives. But God's way is submission and surrender. Surrender to God's will by submitting to our husband's. It's tough. I know that only to well. But Tony Evans' book hits the nail squarely on the head without apology. Feminism may be the American way, but submission is God's way. This book was excellent. I'm newly married after 20 years of being a single, financially independent business owner (and lawyer, to boot). I'll be reading this book at least once a month, as a constant reminder of how I am to treat my husband. Thank you, Tony Evans, for telling it like it is.

This book offers biblical based advice on marriage with many scriptural references! I am finding more and more freedom from surrendering to God and honoring my husband I never thought I could feel this way!

I chose this rating because this book has greatly improved the way I see my husband. I realized that I had not been the wife I should have been. Once I changed my thought of thinking, then my relationship with my husband improved tremendously.

I would recommend this book to all of my married friends.
