Ghost in the Shell (v. 1)

Ghost in the Shell was my first foray into manga. I started my interest by playing a playstation game based on the story or video.

WOW. I was really drawn in by the depth of the story, the details of the drawings, and even the margin notes on the concepts described. His vision of this cyber world was so rich and fascinating. He explores multiple interactions between human and machine exhistence and interaction.

Well worth the trip!

The book is great, came as described, and the bookstore got it shipped to me in no time. And this IS the unedited North American version, very nice to have the full story. Not intended for the easily offended or small children though.

An excellent book, though somewhat graphic. If you like manga or graphic novels, you'll enjoy this. I've read the book and seen movie. Both are good, but not for the young reader. There are interesting metaphorical undertones of Japanese and American culture differences. If you pay attention, you will notice them.

This is the ultimate Ghost in the Shell manga! The 2nd edition has 18+ rating and so it includes original adult content :-) Also it's printed on a really quality paper with A5 dimensions so it's quite handy and nice. For GitS fans who don't have the 1st edition this is a must buy. Go for it you won't be disappointed ^_^
