I wish that this book was available decades ago when I was completely clueless about dating. If it were, I'd probably be either in a long-term relationship or even married right now. To say that it was just interesting and useful, is like an understatement. It was so incredibly insightful, addressing not only stuff that's simply common-sense like don't accept anything less than a date, don't come on too strong, nor sleep with someone too soon, but it also addressed those gray-area subjects like when to have sex with your new significant other with a complete time-line, where to go for a first date (approved list) and how to approach first date follow-ups from men, which range from 1 day after the date to 3 weeks or more (which is one of my personal favorites). I found this to have significantly more information than his last book, He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys, which came out in 2004. The book has advice on every topic imaginable for women on dating and relationships and I'm glad that I took a chance on getting myself a copy of it. If you're looking to buy It's Just a F***ing Date, do so with confidence as the book is filled with everything you need for "dating excellence" and success, besides exceeding most other dating books out there in expectation. This book will be on my book shelf for life as a permanent reference for dating. Highly recommended.

I love Greg Behrendt's straight forward "I'm your big brother, listen to me, I'm right" attitude. Read and benefited from "It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken" and "He's Just Not That Into You". Can't go wrong.

Every single woman should read this book. Greg & Amiira really give some priceless advice in a witty and yet serious way. You can really tell that they care and want to genuinely help the single person suffering thru the plight of trying to find a relationship in this crazy world.

I absolutely loved this book! The authors put a comedic spin on the art of dating. I loved the workbook exercises because they helped with applying the principles you learned in this book! Great read.

After being out of the dating scene for 20 years .... This book educates one with humor and reality of how we've lowered our standards and just settle... It made me realize I have to stand back and demand respect and enjoy life ! And date ! Sure I will read it again ... And share with my single friends ....

Simple, obvious advice, but written in a very funny and easy to read manner. It was obvious to me, but by the questions in the book, not obvious to others that going home from the pub with someone does not a relationship make. Not having your own life or being too needy. This seems basic to me, but maybe someone needs to hear it. I gave it four stars because the advice is marginal for me, but it is a funny book. I did like the way it says to not make a date an interview and to have fun and just get over it. A good reminder.

Someone recommended this book so I took them up on it. I like it because it's not just a "date" book. It's full of practical wisdom of every day life and relationship guidelines. I've heard it all before, a great refresher course. I will pass it on.

This book covers everything from before you start dating to when you should have sex. I enjoyed getting both a mans AND women's opinion on each topic. Really practical advice for today's dating world.

I've recently found myself entering into the dating world. I have held my standards (not deal breakers) and started to question my methods. Greg and Amira reminded me that I should have standards and it's ok to hold out for them. It doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. I can do what is right for me. I definitely recommend this book and have purchased it as gifts for my single friends. Wish me luck!!! Carpe Datem!!!

Another excellent book! I l always laugh out loud when reading Greg's books. He's Just Not That Into You was a book that totally changed my outlook on dating and made me value myself more. I passed that book along to my daughter and I truly believe that it had a major impact in the good choices and decisions she's made when it comes to men and dating.
Now many years later after being married and recently divorced, this book is right on time! It speaks to all of the new challenges we face with dating like texting, online dating, and the whole technology thing that annoys me so much. This book is an updated version of He's Just Not That Into You which I love!
I am so impressed with the clever way that this book gets into your psyche and makes you reflect on your self esteem and choices without being preachy. I also love that we get a chance to get a REAL and honest peek into the thinking process of men. I highly recommended this book for any single girl, teenager, woman! This book should be given to every girl as a guide to dating before she's allowed to date!
