This book is a wonderful fantasy world with real everyday characters. It asks and answers some deep questions in an easy to read narrative. It is fun to see the characters introduced in A Wrinkle in Time mature and continue their adventures.

This story connects the outer and inner worlds which we in the West are prone to deny or ignore. It seems a good place to start teaching children that what happens within them physically, emotionally and spiritually has ramifications in the outer world just as what is happening in the outer affects their inner, subconscious lives.

The story bogged down, the characters were not well defined, and it was very short. I was really looking forward to reading it after enjoying 'A Wrinkle in Time' so very much, but was sadly disappointed.

I would say it very creatively some levels. . I have read a lot of science fiction and I think I find this more fansty based than science fiction. If you are a fan of fansty you may like this novel. I will keep reading the novels. To see what happens. But I expected a more believable world than the author presented. I like when an author develops another world that has some shed of reality to our own. Many of the concepts introduced in this novel did not seem believable in any world. To me an excellent science fiction world is one in which you find believable in some way.

It was great and very descriptive and I loved how it was really make believe but yet seemed so realistic at the same time!!!
It was really awesome!!!!! I suggest reading the whole series to everyone who has interest in science and fictional text.

What a delightful series of books! I read A Wrinkle In Time to my two children (one is in school & the other a pre-schooler) we all enjoyed the characters and the suspense that built and couldn't wait to begin A Wind In The Door. Again in this book, the characters and suspense are developed well, it is a lively read that whets the appetite for more! We looked forward to any available time to read eagerly!

This was my first series of real science fiction books waaaay back when I was in the sixth grade, and the books sparked a lifelong passion for reading.
I've since turned my own middle schoolers onto these books and they love them as much as I did. The story unfolds well and keeps them wanting to know what happens next, which is great incentive for reluctant readers to keep reading.

Following A Wrinkle in Time seems impossible, but Madeleine L`Engle proves otherwise. A Wind in the Door takes us on another adventure that leaves us never wanting the pages to end.The book has been one of my favorites and ,just like Wrinkle in Time,is one I can read over and over again.
